"Dethrone the King."
The screen fades in from black to reveal Chris McClean standing on the dock of shame. After a momentary pause, he delivers his opening lines.
Chris: "Last time on Total Drama Island...Insanity!"
A white flash illuminates the screen, and the recap commences. It begins with Nourhan being relieved as she receives the final marshmallow, sending Kimi home.
Chris: "After Nourhan blackmailed Vittoria to turn on her alliance, Steven was out for blood."
Steven is shown throwing all of Jonathon's things out of the cabin in a fit of rage.
Chris: "And because of Nathalie and Jonathon's budding friendship, he became the prime suspect in Steven's eyes….Even though he voted for Nathalie."
Jonathon is shown casting the sole vote for Nathalie, a vote claimed by Vittoria.
Chris: "The Killer Bass, however, weren't the only one's struggling to build trust."
Doug is shown getting voted out, shocking Haley and Henry.
Chris: "After Doug's elimination, it was Alex, Krystal, Josh, and Sam; Against Haley, Hector and Henry."
Haley , Hector, and Henry are shown forming their alliance, Triple H. This is followed by a clip of Henry coming up with the triple plan, in hopes to pit the core four against each other.
Chris: "However, not everything was as it seemed…"
Josh begins to become suspicious of Sam and Krystal's bond , worried that they have grown too close.
Chris: "Josh's desire to help give Hector confidence, and take control of his alliance, is what ultimately sent Sam packing..."
Hector, Haley, Henry, and Josh are all shown voting for Sam in the confessional booth.
Chris: "...And devastating Krystal in the process."
Krystal is shown crying and hugging Sam goodbye, apologizing for not being able to prevent her blind side.
Chris: "With the merge just around the corner, trust has become the biggest factor in the game. But now that loyalties are broken, who can each contender put their faith in? Find out tonight on...Total...Drama...Island...Insanity!"
The recap ends with Krystal spitefully glaring at Josh.
By the Unlit Fire Pit.
The six remaining gophers are returning from the most recent campfire ceremony. Alex has his arm around Krystal and is rubbing her back in a comforting manner. The frail girl is crying endlessly, while Josh watches, unsure of what to do. Henry pulls Haley aside, and when the two are out of everyone's sight, he kisses her gently. When he pulls away, a grin has spread across her face.
Haley: "I can't believe that worked, I thought one of us was leaving for sure!"
Henry lets out a small chuckle before wrapping his arms around his girlfriend.
Henry: "I know, I thought it'd be Hector."
Haley, who is still holding onto Henry's forearms, nods in agreement.
Confessional Booth: Henry.
Henry: "At the campfire ceremony, Josh switched sides to vote with us and get Sam out. So the triple plan was a success; but as far as trusting him to continue voting with us as time goes on, that's a whole 'nother story."
Henry smiles and shakes his head in disbelief.
Henry: "If he can't even stay loyal to his supposed friends, I sure as hell don't expect him to stay loyal to us. So I'm going to have to keep my eye on him, and hope that when I turn around, he isn't digging a knife into my back."
By the Unlit Fire Pit.
Alex and Krystal have distanced themselves from the others and are sitting on one of the logs next to the fire pit. They watch sorrowfully as Hector approaches Josh near the cabins.
Hector: "I really appreciate what you did for me tonight because if it wasn't for you putting your neck on the line for me, I wouldn't even be here right now. So, thank you."
Josh smiles weakly and nods.
Josh: "Of course, don't mention it…"
Hector smiles awkwardly before wrapping his arms around Josh's waist. Josh hesitates to reciprocate this kind gesture, but ultimately does so anyways. When he looks over the small boy's shoulder, he sees Krystal glaring back at him. As soon as their eyes meet, however, she quickly turns her attention back to Alex. Josh then takes a large gulp before looking down thoughtfully.
Confessional Booth: Josh.
Josh: "Tonight I took a really big risk in voting out Sam and keeping Hector. It could potentially ruin my game. But if it ends up being a mistake, then it was mine to make."
Josh's glasses begin to fall while he's talking and he stops them with his forefingers, pushing them back up his nose.
Josh: "Alex and Krystal are being completely hypocritical. They constantly encourage me to come out of my shell, make friends, and stand on my own two feet; but then bark orders at me and expect me to vote whoever they want me to vote. But I'm not going to play their game anymore. If I want to win I have to play for myself and if they were my true friends, they'd understand that."
By the Unlit Firepit.
Krystal continues to cry by Alex's side. In an effort to conceal her emotions, she begins to wipe at her eyes furiously with her sleeve.
Krystal: "I just can't believe he did that, he was supposed to be our friend!"
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal's eyes are red and filled with tears, her voice cracking as she speaks.
Krystal: "At the beginning of the game, I put my trust in Josh and Alex… And…"
Krystal takes a long pause before shutting her eyes tightly. As soon as she does this, tears begin to stream down the frail girl's face. When she opens them again, she takes a deep breath and once again begins wiping at her tears with her sleeve.
Krystal: "And this was supposed to be my chance…"
She sniffles and looks away from the camera.
Krystal: "My chance to make friends and rise above what everyone has always expected of me… But with Sarah and Sam gone, I can't help but feel that it's all over now. I missed my chance."
By the Unlit Fire Pit.
Alex rests his forearms on his thighs and then turns his head in Krystal's direction.
Alex: "I know that you're mad at him, but the three of us have to stay together."
Krystal looks a bit irritated with Alex's comment.
Krystal: "You don't seriously think that I'm willing to keep playing with him after what he did, do you?"
Alex sighs heavily and rubs his palms on his face, indicating frustration.
Alex: "Krystal, if we don't have Josh, than we don't have anyone! The four of them will pick us off!"
No sooner than Alex finishes, does Josh approach the duo.
Josh: "Do you guys wanna talk about what happened tonight?"
Krystal stands up angrily.
Krystal: "I'm not really interested in anything that you have to say."
Krystal turns around and begins to walk away, Josh calling after her.
Josh: "But Kry-"
Krystal turns around and begins to yell at Josh.
Krystal: "I SAID I'M NOT INTERESTED, NOW F**K OFF!"
Josh raises his eyebrows at the girl as she storms off in the opposite direction.
Josh: "Wow…Well, that just about says it all, doesn't it?"
Alex: "Josh, where's your head at right now?"
Josh: "With you. My word was my word, but I never promised Sam anything. We made it clear to her that it was a final three, no exceptions. We had Sam's vote until it wasn't useful anymore. You and I both know that unity is the most important thing going into a merge, and if we voted off any of the other three, then none of us would have had any shot against the Bass!"
Alex: "If that's the way you feel, then tell Krystal that!"
Josh laughs in disbelief and rolls his eyes at the thought.
Josh: "I said my head was with you, not with her, not after the way she's treated me."
Alex buries his face in his hands and groans.
Alex: "Oh my god…You two are so unbelievable right now."
Alex stands up and begins to walk away.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "I think that Josh and Krystal just don't get it… Both of them are incapable of grasping the concept of this game and how it should be played. Josh deciding to do what's best for himself, it was a good move but he made it at the wrong time. Now Krystal's all pissed off which is bad for all of us because the more we bicker, the more power we're giving Haley, Henry, and Hector…"
Alex sighs heavily and briefly cups his hands over his face.
Alex: "If the two of them don't make up soon, every last one of us is screwed."
Total Drama Island: Insanity! Intro.
As the opening theme begins to play cameras begin to pop out of strange places, including an underground burrow and a tree. As the last camera comes out, a clapperboard is held in front of the camera and is slammed shut.
"Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine…."
The camera goes past the dock of shame revealing the Camp Wawanakwa sign. As the scenery continues to be shown, the camera rushes past Chris then continues up the ever so familiar mountain before going over the cliff and through the ring, venturing into the treacherous waters!
"….You guys are on my mind!"
Hector is shown happily swimming in the water before being frightened after seeing a shark and rushing towards the surface.
"You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see…."
As Hector emerges from the surface, Wyatt and a crying Sarah are seen floating past him on an old, gray plank. From behind his back, Wyatt pulls out Sarah's teddy bear and holds it towards her, much to her delight. However, just as he does so, a hawk sweeps down and snatches it, sending Sarah back into hysterics.
"I wanna be famous!"
The hawk flies above Steven, who is in the forest surrounded by pumpkins. As snakes begin to make their way out of the pumpkins, Steven screams like the little girl he is deep down and begins to run. As the camera zooms out, Nathalie is seen holding a snake and smiling as Jonathon puts his hands on his hips and raises his left brow at her before the suns vibrant light overcomes this view.
"I wanna live close to the sun."
As the sunlight retracts and a new scene is revealed, Josh and Doug are seen bickering at each other on a raft before going over a waterfall.
"Well, pack your bags 'cuz I've already won."
Matt is seen standing on a long and narrow log, with one hand in the air and one hand on his heart, reciting what looks to be a play in a rather over dramatic light.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way."
Kelly swings by on a vine, grabbing Matt by the collar of his shirt and taking him along for the ride. As they rush past parts of the camp, she drops Matt into the outhouse which falls over because of this. Courtney tumbles out of the outhouse and walks around slightly dazed before falling over, hitting the ground rather hard.
"I'll get there one day."
The camera pans through the cafeteria window, showing Chef making some kind of disgusting grub before going over to Sam and Eric who are looking at each other dreamily before a spoonful of Chef's food is shoved between them. Looks of disgust are shared between the two before Nourhan and Noah are seen laughing together at a nearby table.
"I wanna be famous!"
As the scene changes to the outdoors, both Kimi and Vittoria are seen admiring Alex who is in the water looking at himself in a small hand mirror.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na…"
As Alex smiles at himself in the mirror it shatters into a dozen pieces, much to his dismay.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!"
The camera pans over to the Dock of Shame where the hawk drops Sarah's teddy bear into Krystal's arm. Krystal grins maniacally at this before pulling a lighter out of her pocket and setting the small girl's bear on fire. As laughter continues to erupt from her mouth, she throws the doll up into the air.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!"
As the burning stuffed animal falls from the sky, the daylight shifts to night. The bear falls down in between Haley and Henry, who are about to kiss when Brooke, whose hair is now on fire, pops up between them. As the camera begins to zoom out, the twenty-two campers are revealed to be sitting at the Bonfire Ceremony. All of them are whistling with the exception of Brooke who is screaming, Krystal who is laughing, and Sarah who is crying hysterically.
The Bathroom: The Girl's Side.
As the intro fades out and the episode continues, the sun is seen rising over head. The sun's position indicates that it's still very early in the morning, its light shining down onto the bathrooms. All seems quiet and peaceful in Camp Wawanakwa, but this illusion is immediately shattered by Steven's high pitched wails that begin emitting from the bathroom.
Steven: "YOU MISSED A SPOT!"
Steven is sitting on the counter top, pointing down angrily at the floor below him. Jonathon looks up, visibly agitated by the arrogant teen, and rolls his eyes.
Jonathon: "Please your highness, remind me again, why am I cleaning the bathroom when Chef Hatchet told you and Vic to do it?"
Steven crosses his arms and turns his nose up to the ceiling in a rather smug fashion.
Steven: "I'll remind you why you're cleaning the bathroom, as soon as your remind me why you voted my sister off the island?!"
Jonathon grimaces at this.
Jonathon: "I already told you, I didn't vote her off! I voted for Nathalie!"
Steven rolls his eyes.
Steven: "Yeah, like you two love birds would ever write each other's names down!"
Jonathon begins gritting his teeth when, without warning, saliva falls from Steven's mouth and onto the floor in front of him.
Steven: "Missed a spot."
Steven turns his nose up into the air again and smiles, satisfied with his antics. When Jonathon sees this, he clenches the sponge in his fist, and lets out a loud scream.
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon's voice is at an exasperated scream as he begins to rant about the various things that Steven has done.
Jonathon: "I can't take it anymore! I'm going to lose it! Just because I didn't vote who I was supposed to vote for, ONE TIME, doesn't mean I'm stuck playing slave to an egoistic teen with daddy issues!"
As Jonathon speaks, he becomes very wide eyed and appears to be slightly deranged.
Confessional Booth: Steven.
Steven is sitting in the confessional booth with his legs crossed, looking quite content with himself.
Steven: "Honestly, I could care less that Kimi was voted out a couple ceremonies ago. It's not like she brought anything to the table anyways… I'm much more concerned about the loyalty of my allies!
Steven crosses his arms and looks away from the camera lens.
Steven: "In this game, loyalty means everything. And after that vote, I'm not so sure Jonathon is as loyal as he says..."
After he says this, he looks down angrily.
Steven: "I don't forgive, and I don't forget!"
Outside of the Girl's Bathroom.
After Steven's confessional ends, both Nourhan and Nathalie are seen happily chatting on their way to the bathroom. Their conversation ends abruptly when Jonathon throws the bathroom door open, storming out. He is followed by Steven, who is running after him with the bucket of soap water in one hand, and the sponge in another.
Steven: "Where are you going?! You're not done!"
Nourhan and Nathalie are at a loss for words, when suddenly, Nathalie bursts out in fits of laughter.
Nathalie: "What's wrong, Jonathon? Not having fun picking hair out of the drain?!"
To Nourhan's disappointment, she continues laughing after calling this out to him.
Confessional Booth: Nourhan.
Nourhan: "Nathalie, she's constantly antagonizing Jonathon. They have that whole love/hate thing going on. Normally I wouldn't mind because of how tight Jonathon and Steven are but as of lately, that doesn't seem to be the case."
Nourhan pauses for a second, lifts her head toward the sky, and begins to laugh before looking back down at the lense.
Nourhan: "I would just love nothing more than to send Steven home at the next Campfire Ceremony. I'm really ready to knock him off his high horse, and this is the perfect opportunity."
Outside of the Girl's Bathroom's.
Nourhan immediately takes Nathalie by the wrist and pulls her aside.
Nourhan: "What're you doing?!"
She says this in a low whisper in an effort to conceal her words from the others.
Nathalie: "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm making fun of Johnny!"
Nourhan rolls her eyes at the girl's response.
Nathalie: "What's the big deal? I make fun of him all the time!"
Nourhan: "The big deal is I don't think Vittoria will vote with us again!"
Nathalie stares at Nourhan, neither of them saying anything.
Nourhan: "Which means we need another vote…"
Nathalie blinks, unphased by Nourhan's words as the awkward silence continues.
Nourhan: "Jonathon's vote…"
The girl frowns a little but still says nothing.
Nourhan: "Good God, Nathalie! You have to be nice to Jonathon to persuade him to vote with us!"
Nathalie lets out a horrendous gasp.
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie: "Me?! Be nice to Jonathon?! I'd rather slaughter a dolphin and then feed it to my first born child!"
The Dock of Shame.
When the confessional fuzzes out, the glistening ocean can be seen, stretching as far as the eye can see. Cheerful music is playing in the background, as the eleven remaining campers gather on the Dock of Shame. The Bass have already arrived by the time the gophers begin to line up one by one. The camera pans down the line to reveal Henry in the front. He is followed by Haley, who is staring at him with an awe struck expression on her face, Hector, who is attempting to pick his nose with his tongue, and lastly, the trio of bickering friends. At first, Krystal is seen standing next to Josh, but when she realizes this she immediately grabs Alex's arm and places him in between the two. Alex, who is at first taken aback by the brute force of the small girl, immediately becomes visibly irritated with the two.
Alex: "Is this really necessary?!"
The frail girl simply crosses her arms in response, and turns her head so it's facing the other direction.
Krystal: "You really shouldn't be seen talking to me, Alex; Josh might get jealous and vote you off!"
Krystal ends this sentence with a hint of spite in her tone. Josh rolls his eyes and also crosses his arms, turning his head away from her as well.
Josh: "I agree, this entire situation seems pretty unnecessary to me. Especially if you consider the fact that Sam was a Texan."
Krystal whips her head around to face Josh.
Krystal: "What does that have to do with anything?!"
Josh: "Well, if you think about it, it was probably her ancestors that thought it was a good idea to make country music a thing."
Josh, with his arms remaining crossed, gives a shrug.
Josh: "Someone's got to pay for that crime, might as well be Sam. So blame the Texans, don't blame me."
Krystal's eyes have become squinted, growing angrier and angrier with Josh by the second.
Krystal: "You do realize how ridiculous your reasoning sounds right now?"
Alex looks towards the sky and arcs his lips, forming a rather thoughtful frown.
Alex: "I dunno, K… I mean, have you heard country music?"
Krystal crosses her arms again and turns her glare in Alex's direction.
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
The girl's anger continues to be present in the confessional booth.
Krystal: "Are you kidding me?! He voted her out because she's a Texan?!"
She rolls her eyes and throws her hands up into the air, her body language indicating the level of rage within her.
Krystal: "Well I'm from Pennsylvania, home of the Hershey factory! Am I going to get voted out next because Josh doesn't like chocolate?!"
The Dock of Shame.
Chris McClean comes strolling onto the dock, his hair looking softer than usual. He gives a smile in the teens' direction, the glistening white shining in their eyes.
Chris: "Good morning, hope you all slept well! How's everyone doing today?"
The camera shows a wide shot of the contestants, most of which look at odds with one another. At the very end, Jonathon can be seen adding himself to the list of crossed arm teens.
Jonathon: "Like a hibernating bear… If that said bear were being skinned in it's sleep."
Steven returns Chris's warming smile.
Steven: "I slept great Chris, thanks for asking!"
Jonathon glares at Steven and begins gritting his teeth.
Chris: "Good to hear…"
Chris says this in a very shallow tone, indicating that in all actuality, he could care less about anyone's morning other than his own.
Chris: "Well, your mornings about to get that much better because today you'll all be partaking in Xtreme Sports!"
Everyone begins cheering except for Alex, who has dropped to his knees and is emitting horrendous screams.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
Alex: "First I have to play mediator between Josh and Krystal, and now this?!"
Alex begins to sob silently.
Alex: "This is the worst day ever!"
The Dock of Shame.
Everyone continues to cheer, as Alex buries his face into his palms.
Chris: "This challenge will be separated into three parts!"
More cheers can be heard.
Chris: "In the first part, one member of each team will take a leap of faith…"
The cheers grow louder and louder as Chris goes on.
Chris: "Out of an airplane!"
After the sadistic host says this, the cheers immediately stop. The only exception to this is Hector, who has finally gotten the booger out of his nose, and Steven who is patting Jonathon on the back.
Steven: "Way to take one for the team, buddy! Outstanding teamwork!"
As Steven continues to clap, Jonathon's gritting begins to turn into more of a growl.
The Beach: The Screaming Gophers.
A white flash takes over the screen as the scene transitions. The Screaming Gophers, excluding Alex, can be seen gathered around a rather flimsy looking mattress.
Haley: "We're supposed to catch him….With this?!"
Haley gives a genuine look of concern when she kicks the couch and blue cotton begins to erupt from the seams. When Henry sees this, he grimaces.
Henry: "I'm starting to wonder how well these challenges are thought through…."
Henry looks over in Krystal and Josh's direction, both of which continue to avoid eye contact with each other.
Henry: "Don't you two have any concerns regarding the safety of your friend?"
Both remain unphased by this comment, almost as if they didn't hear it.
Krystal: "I'm sorry, Henry. What was that? I COULDN'T HEAR YOU OVER JOSH'S LIES!"
Krystal's entire body is now turned towards her frenemy, who is glaring at her out of the corner of his eye.
Henry: "He actually…wasn't…talking…"
Haley touches Henry's forearm, stopping him him from saying anymore.
Haley: "It's probably best to stay out of this one, hun…"
Confessional Booth: Henry.
Henry is sitting on the toilet seat with his legs crossed and arms folded over each other.
Henry: "I do feel kinda bad about the feud going on between J and K, especially because I was the one who convinced Josh to vote with us last night… But then again, it takes all of the attention off of Haley and I! No one even has a clue that we're together!"
Henry shies away from the camera as he finishes off his confessional, rubbing the back of his head and turning red in the cheeks.
Inside the Airplane.
With Henry's confessional fuzzing out, Alex and Jonathon are revealed to be the two members selected to jump from the airplane that soars over the beach. The two boys are looking out the open door, Alex giving a large gulp when he see's the ground below.
Alex: "I can't believe that I drew the short straw!"
Alex screams this at the top of his lungs, attempting to be heard over the the plane jets that are roaring Jonathon's ears.
Jonathon: "I can't believe that I let Steven trade me straws...What are the odds?"
Jonathon intentionally says this in a bland tone.
Alex: "You know, you really shouldn't hide your feelings with sarcasm. It's not healthy!"
Jonathon rolls his eyes in response to the boy's advice.
Jonathon: "Thanks for the pointer, Dr. Phill. I'll make sure and consider that in the future."
Without another word, Jonathon leaps from the plane. As he does so, Alex's screams follow him.
Alex: " You're welcome!"
As the fear begins to set in, Alex realizes that he is now in the plane all alone. He looks towards the sandy beach once again, then back to Chef Hatchet.
Alex: "Do you even know how to fly this thing?!"
Chef looks back at him and shrugs carelessly.
Chef Hatchet: "I try."
Alex groans before falling to his knees.
Alex: "I think I'm going to be sick…or possibly dead depending on how this whole thing goes."
The Beach.
When the white flash illuminating the screen fades, a close up of Nathalie's face is shown. It is pressed up against the red mattress that she is attempting to push across the large outstretch of sand.
Nathalie: "Why…is this thing so heavy?!"
The girl, who is clearly exhausted, struggles to get these words out.
Nourhan: "Probably because Steven and Vittoria are sitting on it!"
The camera pans out to reveal that while Nourhan and Nathalie are working hard to push the mattress towards the plane's direction, Steven and Vittoria are sprawled across it. The Italian girl is in her favorite white bikini with sunglasses atop her head and an aviator in her hands. When she hears Nourhan's cries of defiance, she props herself up and lifts the shades just inches above her eyes.
Vittoria: "In realtà sto posa su di esso, in modo da …"
Nourhan stops pushing and stands up straight, adding herself to the teens who cross their arms club.
Nourhan: "Oh, cut the crap, Vicky! We all know that you speak English!"
After Nourhan says this, a large shadow overcasts the teens. Nathalie is the only one who seems to notice this.
Nathalie: "Uhm, you guys…?"
Vittoria: "Mi dispiace, io non riuscivo a capire che l'ultima frase? Era una forma di linguaggio Eygeptian?"
Nathalie attempts to move the mattress on her own, but is unable to do so due to the vast amount of weight that the self centric team members have added to it.
Nourhan: "AHHHH!"
Nathalie: "YOU GUYS?!"
Nathalie's screams are no longer the only one's to be heard, as Jonathon comes plummeting down into the sand.
Nourhan: "Oops…."
As soon as Jonathon hits the ground, Steven erupts in fits of laughter. A concerned Nathalie, however, rushes to his aid.
Nathalie: "Are you okay?!"
The girl kneels down and turns him over. The D.I.T's face is badly bruised, and when he gives her a smile, many of his teeth are also missing.
Jonathon: "Just dandy…"
Steven stands up and moves in on the injured boy.
Steven: "I'd like to see you grit those teeth now!"
Steven's laughs have faded and he is now giving the two a cold stare. Nathalie glares at Steven before standing up and taking a large step in his direction.
Nathalie: "I'd like to see you grit your teeth when I'm through with you!"
Nathalie rolls up her sleeves and takes a threatening stance.
Steven: "You filthy, tree hugging, green loving vegan!"
Before a fight can break out, Nourhan and Vittoria rush over to hold back their companions.
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie, following the other campers' leads, crosses her arms.
Nathalie: "I wasn't defending Jonathon! It was all strategy! It's not like I actually care if Steven laughs at Jonathon's bruised up, beautifully constructed face…"
Nathalie rests her chin on her palm and falls into a daydream. When she realizes the impression she is giving off to the audience, she sits up straight and crosses her arms once again.
Nathalie: "I don't care, I really don't!"
The Beach: The Screaming Gophers.
The Screaming Gophers are desperately trying to reach the plane before Alex drops out of it. This is proving to be a challenge, however, because Krystal and Josh keep stopping to argue.
Josh: "I ALREADY TOLD YOU, TAYLOR SWIFT IS NOT A COUNTRY STAR AND CAN NOT BE CATEGORIZED AS A TEXAN!"
Krystal: "YES SHE CAN, SHE'S FROM TEXAS!"
Josh stops once again to scream at Krystal. His face is so close to hers that the spit flailing from his mouth as he screams is hitting her.
Josh: "SHE'S FROM TENNESSEE!"
Haley: "You guys, Alex is-"
Krystal: "DON'T SPIT IN MY FACE!"
Josh: "I DIDN'T MEAN TO!"
Haley: "You guys!"
Krystal: "OH, YEAH? JUST LIKE YOU DIDN'T MEAN TO VOTE SAM OFF?!"
Josh: "OBVIOUSLY NOT BECAUSE THAT WAS ON PURPOSE!"
Krystal takes a step back and lets out screams of fury as Alex hits the ground.
Confessional Booth: Alex.
After his fall, Alex is seen to be sitting in a wheelchair. He's now wearing a full body cast, and can only speak with the aid of a computer.
Alex's Computer: "S-O...M-U-C-H...P-A-I-N…I….H-A-T-E….S-P-O-R-T-S…."
After he finishes typing on his computer so that it can speak for him, a bee lands on his eyelid and proceeds to sting him. As his eye swells up, tears begin to fall from his face. The boy's sobs are muffled by the bandage wrapped around his head.
Outside of the Killer Bass Cabin.
A clearly irritated Steven is walking swiftly towards the cabins, his arms at his sides and his hands clinched into fists. He takes a seat on the top porch step and is joined by Vittoria.
Steven: "Who does she think she is, speaking to me in that manner?!"
Vittoria rolls her eyes and dismisses this with a flick of the wrist.
Vittoria: "Isn't it obvious?! She thinks she's safe!"
Steven folds his arms on top of each other and rests them on his knees.
Steven: "Well maybe if the girl took a math class, she would know that she's outnumbered, 3-2!"
Vittoria shakes her head in disbelief before standing up and resting her arm against one of the wooden poles holding the cabin in place.
Vittoria: "Don't you get it? She's not outnumbered! At least as far as she knows…"
Steven: "What do you mean?"
Vittoria smirks and lets out a snide laugh.
Vittoria: "Haven't you seen those two love birds prance around this island like they're on a honeymoon? C'mon Steven, put the pieces together."
When Vittoria says this, Steven becomes lost in thought, much to her satisfaction.
Confessional Booth: Vittoria.
The devious girl's body language insinuates the confidence she has in the plan she's set into motion.
Vittoria: "Jonathon and Steven, they've been tight since day one. Me? I'm just the third wheel, I know that! I'm not stupid! My job going into the merge, is to rearrange that formula…
Vittoria's confidence begins to look more like cockiness as she continues.
Vittoria: "I do not play second fiddle in my everyday life, and I'm not going to play it out here."
Outside of the Killer Bass Cabin.
After Vittoria puts this idea in Steven's head, he stands up and begins pacing back and forth.
Steven: "But she doesn't have the numbers?! Jonathon's with us… Right?!"
Vittoria frowns and shrugs.
Vittoria: "Only one way to find out…"
Steven stops pacing and gives a menacing grin in the camera's direction.
Confessional Booth: Steven.
Steven: "What Vittoria's saying, it makes sense. Jonathon's loyalty has been shaky for a while, and I'm starting to think that it's time to put that loyalty to the test… I don't know whose game those two think they're playing, but this is my island and no one is going to take it from me!"
The Woods.
The campers have gathered around a treeless area in the middle of the woods. Off to the sides, two moose are tied to surrounding trees. A carefree Chris comes strolling into the woods, coming to a stop once he is in front of all eleven teens.
Chris: "Good afternoon, kiddos! How did round one go?"
Everyone gives Chris a blank stare, with the exception of Steven who is giving an overly forced smile.
Steven: "Just great, Chris! Right, Johnny?"
Steven pats Jonathon on the back. Jonathon, now unable to grit his teeth, simply glares at the boy.
Chris: "Glad to hear, you freakin' brat!"
Steven's smile is immediately wiped off his face as if it was stolen by Nourhan and Nathalie, who are now snickering at Chris's response.
Chris: "Nevertheless, it's time for round two!"
After Chris announces the second round, Hector begins cheering as if he had just won the gold medal at the Olympics. Everyone looks at him as if he's a rabid dog. When he notices this, however, he simply sticks out his tongue to reveal another booger.
Hector: "I got another one!"
Henry looks down at the boy in disgust.
Henry: "That's... really gross, man."
Hector shrugs and swallows the booger whole. This is followed by sounds of repulsion by his companions. Chris gives a slight shiver before shaking it off and continuing on with his spiel.
Chris: "For the second part of today's challenge, one member of each team will take a ride on the wild side."
Chris chuckles at his own joke, regardless of the lack of impression shown by the teens. When he notices this, he stops chuckling and clears his throat before going on.
Chris: "The members selected will ride one of the mo-"
Before Chris can finish his sentence, Nathalie chimes in and begins to nag him.
Nathalie: "I swear to Mother Teresa, if you say that you're going to have us ride on the moose like it's a horse…"
Chris smiles and nods.
Chris: "Bingo! Good guess, Nathalie!"
Everyone, with the exception of an enraged Nathalie, gasps.
Nathalie: "What?!"
Chris: "I'm sorry, Nathalie. Will this be an issue for you?"
Chris says this in a snide tone, almost as if he's mocking the girl.
Nathalie: "Actually, yes! It will be an issue! That's borderline animal cru-"
Chris: "Don't care!"
Nathalie scowls at Chris angrily.
Chris: "Whichever team member can successfully ride the moose the longest, will win part two for their team and gain an advantage in the final round! Any questions?"
Nathalie raises her hand impatiently, looking as if she's ready to debate the topic rather than inquire about it.
Chris: "No one? No one at all?"
Nathalie throws her hand down angrily and begins to yell at Chris.
Nathalie: "Me! I have a question! After putting an immense amount of strain on a defenseless animals back, how do you sleep at ni-"
Chris: "Okay then, let's draw straws!"
Nathalie expresses her rage by letting out a horrendous scream. The self centric host, however, is vastly amused by this. He once again chuckles to himself before making rounds with the straws. He approaches the Screaming Gophers first, who all take their draw. Josh is the first one who reaches his hand towards the drinking utensils, but he is immediately stopped by Krystal's whines.
Krystal: "No fair, I wanted that one!"
Instead of protesting, Josh simply rolls his eyes and reaches towards the straw beside it.
Krystal: "No, wait! I changed my mind, that's the straw I was going to take!"
Josh grunts in frustration, and closes his eyes in an effort to conceal his anger as the triumphant girl claims his straw.
Krystal: "WHAT?! YOU TRICKED ME!"
Krystal says this as she holds up the short straw angrily.
Krystal: "You knew that this would be the short straw and that I would take it!"
With this accusation, Josh's anger gets the best of him and he begins to raise his voice.
Josh: "And how would I have possibly known that?!"
With this comment, Josh has now drawn attention to himself from the fellow gophers, all of which have now turned their heads in his direction.
Krystal: "How should I know?! Probably the same way that you know everything else, you freakin' know it all!"
Josh: "AHHHH!"
Confessional Booth: Josh.
Josh is clinging to his hair, growing more and more frustrated by the second.
Josh: "This is absolutely ridiculous! I can't take it anymore!"
Knocks can be heard on the confessional booth, Krystal's voice intruding into the small area.
Krystal: "Who's in there… Is that you, Josh?! You know that I always use the confessional at this time!"
Without another word, Josh rips several chunks of hair from his head.
The Woods.
The bass are all seen drawing their straws from Chris's palm, Vittoria being shown to receive the shortest. Vittoria shakes her head in dissatisfaction before handing the straw back to Chris.
Vittoria: "Siamo spiacenti Chris, ma sto in realtà non andare di partecipare a questo giro."
After refusing to participate in the challenge, Vittoria drops the robe that she is wearing to reveal her signature white bikini. She then proceeds to lay down, sprawling her hair across the ground.
Chris: "Well… That settles it… Jonathon, by default it looks like you're up!"
Jonathon is immediately appalled at the thought of participating in yet another Xtreme sport.
Jonathon: "What do you mean by default?! There's three other people on this team!"
Chris smiles and shakes his head in disagreement.
Chris: "But other than Vittoria, you're the only one here who has also drawn a short straw! And I don't exactly see any volunteers…."
Jonathon turns his eyes to Steven, Nathalie, and Nourhan. Steven's eyes are turned towards the sky and he's whistling a fairly pleasant tune, while Nathalie has begun frantically braiding Nourhan's hair. Nourhan rolls her eyes and signals for the girl to take Jonathon's place.
Nathalie: "You can't be serious?! Why can't you take his place?!"
Nourhan: "Because he doesn't have the hots for me like he does with you! This is our best chance at gaining his trust!"
Nathalie lets out a brief laugh that can either be interpreted as a sign of disbelief or one of embarrassment.
Nathalie: "As if! Jonathon does not have the hots for me!"
The vegan turns her head to see a dough eyed Jonathon staring her down. His eyes have seemingly grown to be twice their usual size and become the most prominent feature to his face, a noticeable gloss overtaking them.
Nathalie: "...You... really think... I mean, strategy wise, this would help m- I mean us! Help us! With the game!"
Nourhan: "Riiiiiiiight, it will definitely help us with the game…"
Nourhan gives Nathalie an over exaggerated wink.
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie's hands are on her hips and she is bobbing her head back and forth while she speaks.
Nathalie: "This is for the greater good of the game! As much as it pains me to do so, I will take one for the Jon- I mean the team! I'll take one for the team!"
Nathalie looks enraged as the producers being snickering at her.
Nathalie: "Stop it! Stop it this instant! And you better not be recording me!"
An angry Nathalie reaches for the camera lense and begins to yell at the production crew. The confessional begins to fuzz out but ultimately comes back into focus, showing the right side of Nathalie's face.
Nathalie: "You will not make me look like some crazy Vegan girl from Puerto Rico!"
Nathalie attempts to pull the camera lense out of the booth but, much to her dismay, ends up tipping the outhouse over instead.
The Woods.
After Nathalie's deranged outing is shown, the second part of the challenge is shown to have concluded as Krystal flies from her moose and knocks an already badly injured Alex out of his wheelchair. The camera then pans over to reveal Nathalie's body pressed against the moose's back. She is rubbing his head gently and putting her ear up against his mouth. After a few seconds she pulls away, covers her mouth, and gasps.
Nathalie: "No?! Really?!"
The moose grunts back at her before shyly looking at it's counterpart who is batting her eyes at him. Attention is turned to an injured Krystal who is aided by an incredibly concerned Josh.
Josh: "Oh my god, are you okay?!"
After the girl is helped to her feet, she immediately dismisses this kind gesture.
Krystal: "Now you're concerned how I'm doing?"
Unlike before, Krystal's voice no longer hints at rage but at sorrow.
Josh: "What're you talking about? Of course I-"
Krystal: "Well don't be, you never were before."
Krystal briskly walks off after saying this, unintentionally stomping on Alex's body as she does so. Josh calls after the girl before following the notion of paying the broken boy's whines no attention, his bones cracking beneath Josh's feet.
Alex's Computer: "O-W…."
With the conclusion of the challenge, Nathalie departs from the back of her newfound friend and is approached by Jonathon.
Nathalie: "Oh, hey there skamp!"
Nathalie says this in a playful tone before rubbing the hair on his head.
Jonathon: "Ya know, I'm slightly insulted that you think I'm dumb enough to fall for this whole charade."
Nathalie at first looks uncomfortable with this comment but then shrugs it off.
Nathalie: "Well, it wouldn't be the first time I undermined your intelligence."
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon: "Reading people, it's not always my strong suite. But reading situations is something I think I really excel at."
Jonathon nods, confident with his skills in this subject matter.
Jonathon: "For Nathalie to suddenly do a one-eighty in the way she feels about me, right after Steven starts treating me like crap… It's shady, and I'm not buying it."
The Woods.
Jonathon: "Why do you always do that, Nathalie?!"
She rolls her eyes.
Nathalie: "Do what?!"
Jonathon raises his brow at her, letting her know that he doesn't believe that she's as clueless as she's letting on.
Nathalie: "Okay, fine!"
Nathalie rolls her eyes and gives into the boy's pressing.
Nathalie: "You told me you were voting Vic that night when you knew you were voting Sarah! I trusted you, more than anyone out here, and you betrayed me!"
Jonathon hangs his head low, taken aback by her response.
Nathalie: "And then, to make matters worst, you tried to vote me out at the next campfire ceremony!"
Jonathon gently grasps Nathalie by her forearms, much to her surprise.
Jonathon: "It's not like that!"
This gains Steven and Vittoria's attention, who turn their heads to watch the confrontation.
Nathalie: "Then what is it like?! We were finally getting to know each other, finally bridging that gap, and then you lied to me, not once, but twice! And now you're standing here, asking me why I was dishonest with you?!"
Nathalie begins to walk away when she is stopped by Jonathon's grasp.
Jonathon: "It's really not, just give me time to explain!"
Nathalie lowers her gaze from his, and shakes her head.
Nathalie: "I've already give you enough time…"
The girl attempts to walk away again.
Jonathon: "No, wait!"
This time, Jonathon pulls the girl back towards him. She is unprepared for his brute force, and falls into him. The two land on the hard forest floor, Nathalie's body being cushioned by Jonathon's. Her cheeks immediately turn red as she once again avoids eye contact.
Jonathon: "Please… just give me time to explain…"
The girl finally gives in with a shy nod.
Nathalie: "Okay.."
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie is standing close to the wall on the right, carving her and Jonathon's initials into the confessional booth. The girl's dreamy daze is broken when she notices the camera lense zooming in on the carving she had created.
Nathalie: "Fine! I like him, okay?! Happy?!"
After she says this, Nourhan pops her head up from the toilet seat.
Nourhan: "Very!"
Nathalie, shocked by her presence, lets out a shrill scream.
The Woods.
Jonathon and Nathalie begin to leave the area, noticing nothing but each other's presence. As they walk past Steven, he crosses his arms angrily and attempts to beckon the two back.
Steven: "Where do you two think you're going?! You're not finished with the challenge yet! Who's going to compete in part three?!"
The Clifftop.
A white flash illuminates the screen, and when it fades, Krystal is seen over looking the clifftop, her legs dangling off the edge. Out of breath from trying to catch up with her, an exhausted Josh sits beside her.
Josh: "Hey…"
Krystal is sniffling, and wiping her tears away with her sleeve.
Krystal: "Hi…"
Josh looks down at the ocean below.
Josh: "What you said back there, about me not caring… That isn't true."
A tearful Krystal turns her head to face him.
Krystal: "Then why'd you vote out Sam? You knew how much she meant to me!"
Josh shrugs and gives her a weak smile.
Josh: "Because I was insecure…"
Krystal: "Insecure about what?"
Josh turns his gaze to hers.
Josh: "About my standing in the game if we didn't unify the team… I thought that if we merged with Haley and Henry, and they didn't trust us, they'd see me as the least valuable member and vote me off."
Krystal looks away, unsatisfied with his response. Josh notices this and looks down sadly.
Josh: "And that if Sam stayed any longer, you'd like her more than you liked me…"
Krystal senses the genuity in his answer, and turns to face him once again.
Krystal: "Josh.."
Josh: "I know, it's stupid and I should've brought it up to you… I've just never really had any friends before and I was really worried if I didn't do something then…"
Krystal shakes her head.
Krystal: "Josh, you and Alex...You guys are the best friends I've ever had. No one, not even Sam, is going to change that."
Josh gives another bleak smile, which Krystal now returns.
Josh: "I'm sorry…."
Krystal nods and then embraces the boy.
Krystal: "I know."
This touching moment ends how it began, with a white flash overtaking the both of them.
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal: "Josh opening up to me about his feelings regarding the bond between Sam and I, it was huge. Not only from a game standpoint, but from a personal perspective."
Krystal smiles and shakes her head.
Krystal: "To have someone in your life whose confidence you nurture, and they nurture yours in return…"
Krystal begins to get teary eyed and chokes up as she continues to speak.
Krystal: "I've never had that, like… that person in my life who believes in me and has faith in what I do when I don't have any faith in myself."
Being touched by Josh's notions, tears begin to stream down her face.
Krystal: "And I feel genuinely bad that I disregarded his insecurities."
Krystal begins wiping at the tears residing on her face.
Krystal: "But this whole situation has really reassured me that I won't go back on my word to those boys again. Not for anything… Not even for a million dollars."
The Clifftop.
The friendly embrace ends, Josh meeting her gaze as the sun shines down upon the two.
Josh: "You, Alex, and I...We're going to prove everyone wrong about us… And than we're going to go on to win this game…together!"
Krystal smiles and nods at his encouraging words.
Confessional Booth: Josh.
Josh: "Before coming here, I was just a kid who ate lunch in the bathroom stall."
Josh laughs at the thought.
Josh: "But this game, and the people in it, it's changed me. Alex and Krystal have given me a faith in myself that I've never had before…"
Josh frowns, as if to conceal his tears.
Josh: "With all the conflict being put behind us, the bond the three of us share is unlike anyone else's in this game, and it puts us in the best possible situation heading into the merge. There's no doubt in my mind that the three of us can take this entire game by storm."
The Mud Pits.
When the confessional fuzzes out, Chris is shown to be standing in front of a giant mud pit, surrounded by eight of the eleven teens.
Chris: "Welcome, campers, to the final part of today's challenge!"
Haley sticks her head into the camera shot in an effort to interfere with Chris's instructions.
Haley: "Uhm, excuse me, Chris? We're actually missing thr-"
The concerned girl is pushed away from the camera's view before she can finish.
Chris: "Cyborg is in the infirmary with Hatchet, and nobody gives two craps where Josh and Krystal are! Does that help?"
Haley: "Not re-"
Chris: "Okay, moving on!"
Haley rolls her eyes after Chris dismisses the absence of Alex, Krystal, and Josh.
Chris: "In the final part of today's challenge, one member from each team will hop aboard a lawnmower while one opposing team member will be pulled through the mud, standing on this!"
Chris gives a slight chuckle after holding up a pair of skis.
Chris: "The team member riding on the skis will have to simultaneously collect as many flags as they can while being pulled through the terrain. Once that member is pulled past the finish line, the challenge is over. The camper to collect the most flags for their team will win today's challen-"
Steven: "Uhm, hello?! I think you're forgetting something! Aka, our advantage!"
Steven yells this impatiently before rolling his eyes.
Chris: "I was getting there…"
Chris scowls at Steven before putting his face just inches in front of the egotistic teen.
Chris: "IF YOU EVER LET ME FINISH!"
Chris backs away, but not before getting his flailing saliva all over Steven's face. Steven glares at Chris before wiping the spit from his face using a single finger.
Steven: "Gross…"
A fairly irritated Chris stands up straight, and clears his throat rather obnoxiously.
Chris: "As I was saying… Since the Killer Bass won the second part of today's challenge, they will be able to select who competes!"
When this is revealed, all of the Gophers gasp. A smug Steven crosses his arms and begins sarcastically tapping his chin with his index finger.
Steven: "Well, well, well….Who will it be?"
The arrogant boy begins to walk past the members of the opposing team, flaunting his dominance over them.
Steven: "Haley… Henry… Maybe Hector?"
Steven continues tapping his chin as he walks past each other of them. Haley and Henry are looking up at him angrily while Hector begins to growl, only being contained by Henry's grasp.
Steven: "Oh, I know! What about, Krystal and Josh?!"
Haley rolls her eyes at this obvious decision.
Haley: "But Chris, how can he choose them if they aren't even here!"
Chris smiles, and shrugs carelessly.
Chris: "If the members of your team aren't here to compete, than I guess the Bass win by forfeit!"
After Chris says this, the Bass all begin to cheer. Steven walks over to where Nourhan is standing and begins to gloat.
Steven: "What's that, Nourhan?! I DIDN'T HEAR YOU!"
Everyone, with the exception of Vittoria, gives Steven a look of confusion.
Nourhan: "Well… Sounds like a problem for the ear doctor because I was screaming pretty loudly."
Nourhan says this with a hint of spite in her tone. Steven simply looks over his shoulder carelessly in response.
Steven: "I just thought you'd be cheering a little louder considering it was you who was going home tonight if we lost!"
Steven turns his menacing gaze to the girl in front of him. Before Nourhan can retaliate against him, a shoe comes flying towards his face. After the shoe knocks the boy over, it loops around in a boomerang like fashion, only stopping when it's owner catches it. As the close up of a frail hand beings to pan out, it's revealed to be Krystal with Josh at her side.
Krystal: "Not so fast, you sister-stealing man with an inferiority complex!"
Nourhan clasps her hand to her mouth in an effort to conceal her laughter. Steven immediately stands up and begins wailing about the pain inflicted upon his face.
Steven: "OW!"
Chris begins laughing cheerfully.
Chris: "Well, champ…"
Chris rubs his palm on the top of Steven's head in a child-like fashion.
Chris: "It looks like we've got a challenge on our hands!"
Steven lets out an agonizing scream before marching back over to his team.
Steven: "Where are Jonathon and the weird vegan girl?!"
Nourhan shrugs.
Nourhan: "Beats me… they could be anywhere, really."
Nourhan leans her body against the tree next to her.
Nourhan: "Could be swimming at the lake, kissing in the cabins, plotting an alliance against you for tonight's campfire ceremony…"
Steven's jaw drops when she says this, much to her satisfaction.
Nourhan: "But who knows, those are just a few examples…"
Nourhan smirks as the boy begins to throw a tantrum, shrieking again and storming off to find the aforementioned. A pleased Nourhan sees this, and begins to stroll over to where Vittoria is sun bathing.
Nourhan: "Well, well… Look at this coincidence… Seems as though we are the only two here to compete."
Nourhan's body is now blocking the sun rays from hitting the Italian. She props up her sunglasses, and props herself up with her forearm.
Vittoria: "Che cosa?!"
Nourhan walks away while holding her stomach, erupting in laughter all the while. Vittoria jolts up and begins to chase after the girl, yelling profanities in Italian.
The Cabin Porch: The Killer Bass Side.
When the scene transitions, Nathalie and Jonathon are seen sitting next to each other on the cabin porch. Their feet are resting on the steps below.
Jonathon: "The night we voted Sarah… I wanted to tell you, I just couldn't."
Nathalie shakes her head.
Nathalie: "Why not?"
Jonathon: "Because... I made a pact with Steven on day one."
Nathalie: "And that pact was more important than our friendship?"
Nathalie says this with irritation in her tone, not understanding what Jonathon is trying to get across.
Jonathon: "No, that's not it! I just can't go back on my word to him!"
Nathalie rolls her eyes and shakes her head again.
Nathalie: "And why not?!"
Jonathon: "Because he's not like you and I, Nathalie! He's different, he's hurt!"
Jonathon sighs and buries his face in his hands. When he does this, Nathalie places a comforting hand on his shoulder before looking down somberly.
Nathalie: "Well when you voted for me, I was hurt…"
When she says this, Jonathon lifts his head to face her.
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon: "This game, it's a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Going into it, I was anticipating the strategy, I was anticipating the deception... But I wasn't ready for the social aspect of it all…"
Jonathon lets out a heavy sigh before resting his chin on his palms.
Jonathon: "Being homeschooled for most of my life, I don't have these types of hurdles to overcome back home. I've spent so much of the game focusing on the analytics of my situation that I've completely looked past what will truly be the hardest part of it all... breaking the relationships you've formed."
The Cabin Porch: The Killer Bass Side.
Nathalie gently places her hands on Jonathon's face.
Nathalie: "It's not about protecting Steven anymore… Everyone hurts, it's not an excuse for him to act the way he does!"
Jonathon sighs and looks the other way, breaking their gaze.
Jonathon: "It's not that simple…"
Nathalie pulls his face back in her direction.
Nathalie: "It is that simple! Stop thinking about what Steven wants you to do, and start thinking about what you want to do! Just because he has a lack of control back home does not mean he can come in here and demand it! He, just like everyone else, will have to work for what he wants!"
Jonathon shakes his head vigorously.
Jonathon: "But I can help him!"
Nathalie lets go of his face and begins to raise her voice.
Nathalie: "But you don't have to, Jonathon! You're not responsible for him!"
Jonathon returns this notion.
Jonathon: "But if I don't, then who will?!"
Nathalie shakes her head and rolls her eyes once again before standing up.
Nathalie: "So that's that then?! Just because Steven has a rough time, you're going to let him walk all over you and do whatever he wants!"
Jonathon stands up to face her.
Jonathon: "No! That's not it! That's not what I'm saying!"
Nathalie: "Then what is it that you're saying?! What do you want, Jonathon?!"
After the brief altercation, there is a silence. As the boy ponders this final thought, he becomes lost in Nathalie's eyes. The rage slowly fades from both of their faces as he pulls her body into his own. The two share a passionate kiss and become lost in the moment. All rage and logic is put behind them, if even only for a moment. It's only once their lips are no longer intertwined, that all reasoning comes back to him.
Jonathon: "I don't know what I want…"
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon: "Coming here, everything was written in the stars. I knew exactly what I was going to do and when I was going to do it. But now, there are complications."
Jonathon lets out another heavy sigh.
Jonathon: "And how I decide to handle these complications will be the deciding factor of my overall success in this game."
The Mud Pits.
After the confessional fuzzes out, Nourhan is seen hopping off the lawn mower after Josh has finished collecting flags for his team. The Gophers are all clapping for his success, having grabbed all but one flag on the course.
Haley: "Beat that, Killer Trouts!"
Nourhan rolls her eyes at Haley's inaccurate statement.
Nourhan: "Bass… Not Trout…"
Chris places his hands on Nourhan's shoulders before pushing her out of the camera's view and into the mud.
Chris: "Nobody cares! Krystal, since you were selected to compete, it's your turn to drive the lawn mower."
Krystal grins excitedly.
Krystal: "WOOOO!"
An eager Krystal begins clapping and runs to jump onto the oversized contraption.
Chris: "And since you're the only other Trout here, it looks like you're grabbin' flags, Vittoria!
Chris takes Vittoria's shoulders, in the same fashion he did Nourhan's, and pushes her into the lawnmower."
Vittoria: "Oof!"
Vittoria makes a grunting sound when her gut hits the side of the lawnmower rather harshly. She than looks back, and glares at Chris angrily.
Confessional Booth: Vittoria.
Vittoria: "You know what, I'm starting to think that I'm too good for this stupid show! Between dealing with a psychotic host and taking orders from that egocentric brat, I'm losing my freakin' mind!"
Vittoria rolls her eyes and flips her hair in a snooty fashion.
Vittoria: "I can't believe I turned down Jersey Shore for this…"
The Mud Pits.
Chris is standing at the front of the lawn mower, which Krystal is now on the back of. He taps the hood of the contraption.
Chris: "Are you all ready to go?"
Krystal takes out a bandana and ties it around her head before revving the engine.
Krystal: "I was born ready, McClean!"
Vittoria, who is already on the skis behind her, rolls her eyes.
Vittoria: "Mi stai prendendo in giro…"
Chris: "I don't speak Italian, but I assume that means you're ready!"
Vittoria rolls her eyes again.
Vittoria: "Imbecille."
Chris stares at Vittoria, unamused by her comment. He then raises a red flag and leans down to whisper in Krystal's ear.
Chris: "Make this entertaining for all of us."
Krystal gives a maniacal grin in response to his comment.
Krystal: "That's the plan!"
Without another word, Chris brings down his arm and the lawn mower begins trotting through the mud. Vittoria is immediately taken aback and nearly falls off of her skis. She lets out a brief gasp before catching her bearings. Mud begins sprouting up from the ground below, covering the prestigious Italian. She at first looks very upset by this, but immediately channels her aggression back into the challenge. As the skis are pulled along by a laughing Krystal, Vittoria squats down low. She reaches her hand down towards the brown ocean, and begins retrieving one….two...and then three flags. Narrowly avoiding all the obstacles and clinging on for dear life, Vittoria continues to collect flag after flag until no more remain. Krystal, having already driven through all the obstacles, has no choice but to head towards the finish.
Vittoria: "Succhialo, è molto piccola cagna!"
Krystal grins before looking ahead of her. Just inches before the finish line, the small, yet smart girl stomps on the lawnmower's breaks. When she does this, Vittoria is jolted from her skis and thrown up into the air. As she flies over head, she lets out several horrendous screams before landing in the mud below.
Krystal: "You were saying?"
Incredibly pleased with her quick thinking, Krystal crosses her arms and legs in a satisfactory manner. Nourhan rests her arms down on her knees, looking down in disappointment.
Chris: "And with that, the Screaming Gophers win yet another challenge!"
Upon saying this, the girl's team mates erupt in cheers. The four run over to her, Josh and Henry propping her up onto their shoulders. When Krystal looks down at Josh, he gives her a heart warming smile (a gesture which she returns).
Chris: "Not so fast!"
Chris happily interrupts their cheers as all of the screaming campers turn their attention towards him.
Chris: "Just because you won today's challenge doesn't mean you will be spared from attending tonight's campfire ceremony."
When Chris says this, everyone's jaw drops. Including Nourhan, whom a very pissed off Vittoria is quickly approaching. When the Italian reaches the girl, she takes her by the back of her hair and pulls her in close.
Nourhan: "Ow!"
As Vittoria speaks, she grits her teeth, spit flailing from her mouth. The girl's words quickly become spite filled, her rage no longer containable.
Vittoria: "You're so lucky that I have to split up those two boys, or it'd be you going home tonight!"
A once timid girl musters up the courage to turn the tables on her biggest adversary. She reaches back her hand and clasps it tightly onto Vittoria's wrist before breaking her grasp.
Vittoria: "Ow!"
The girl squeals in pain as Nourhan tightens her grip on Vittoria's wrist, nearly bringing her to her knees.
Nourhan: "No, you're lucky that there are bigger fish to fry, or you'd be the one going home tonight!"
Chris breaks up the impending fight by wrapping his arms around the two girl's shoulders.
Chris: "Ladies, ladies! Please! Save the drama for tonight's campfire ceremony."
Nourhan angrily throws Vittoria's arm away from her own.
Chris: "As for you Gophers…"
Before finishing his sentence, Chris throws the Gophers a rolled up parchment. Haley outstretches her arms to the air, clasping both palms around it.
Chris: "Make sure and bring that to tonight's ceremony, but don't open it until instructed otherwise!"
Haley and the others somberly nod before walking off. Nourhan rolls her eyes in disgust before heading off. Before she can make her way back to the cabins, she is stopped by an infuriated Steven.
Steven: "Where is he?! Where is Jonathon?!"
Nourhan grins, and without stopping, gives a careless shrug.
Steven: "HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU!"
Steven angrily points his finger down at the ground.
Steven: "GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!"
Confessional Booth: Nourhan.
Nourhan is sitting in the confessional booth with her forearms rested on her thighs.
Nourhan: "We may've lost the challenge today, but for me it definitely feels like more of a personal win. Steven and Vittoria have gotten way too comfortable in this game, and I'm so ready to finally Dethrone the King."
Nourhan lets out a laugh as she finishes her sentence.
The Killer Bass Cabin: The Girl's Side.
When the confessional has fuzzed out, Nourhan has already joined Jonathon and Nathalie inside the cabin.
Nourhan: "So you're with us for the long haul?"
Jonathon looks at her with a very evident sense of hesitation in his eyes. Nevertheless, he nods.
Jonathon: "Yeah, I'm with you guys all the way…"
Nathalie seems to pick up on this hesitation, but does not say anything.
Confessional Booth: Nathalie.
Nathalie: "The conversation I had with Jonathon earlier, it doesn't have me sold that he's with us one-hundred percent. Everything happened so fast, and there were so many emotions incorporated into the whole thing…"
Nathalie looks down sadly before shaking her head.
Nathalie: "I don't want to get my hopes up and have that level of trust broken again..."
The Killer Bass Cabin: The Girls Side.
Nourhan: "Okay then, so we're all in agreeance. It's Steven tonight."
Nourhan says this with a hint of desperation, also seemingly hesitant to trust him. Jonathon nods again, this time holding out his hand.
Jonathon: "I swear, I'm with you."
Nourhan nods.
Nourhan: "Okay, good!"
Nathalie watches as Jonathon shakes Nourhan's hand. He sees her sorrowful expression out of the corner of his eye and looks down guiltily.
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon: "On a personal level, I think my bond with Nathalie is the most genuine bond that I've built out here. But at the same time, with all the things Steven confided in me about…"
Jonathon pauses before looking away from the camera lense.
Jonathon: "I promised I wouldn't turn my back on him and…."
Jonathon pauses before looking away again and letting out a heavy sigh.
Jonathon: "And so as of right now, I'm leaning more towards voting out Nourhan tonight and staying true to the alliance I've built with Vittoria and Steven…."
By the Unlit Firepit.
The Screaming Gophers have gathered around the unlit fire pit to discuss the unique circumstances that they have found themselves in. Alex, who is now recovered, has rejoined his teammates.
Alex: "So everything between you two is good now?"
Alex points at his two friends when he says this. Krystal and Josh both nod in response and smile back at him.
Josh: "Yeah, we're all good."
Alex's face breaks out into a huge grin as he throws his arms around the two. They both laugh as Haley, Henry, and Hector cheer for the rekindled friendship. When Alex pulls away, the tone amongst everyone has changed. Everyone becomes much more serious and the conversation becomes much more strategic.
Josh: "We need to discuss the note that Chris gave us."
Henry nods.
Henry: "I agree, does anyone have an idea of what it could be?"
Hector shrugs.
Hector: "The omen for some type of sacrificial ritual maybe?"
Henry frowns and shakes his head.
Henry: "No, I don't think that's it."
Now accustomed to Hector's strange behaviour, nobody thinks much of this statement and the conversation carries on without a second thought.
Krystal: "Well, what if we have to vote somebody off?"
Alex: "But that defeats the entire point of having an immunity challenge."
Haley nods as she comes to the same conclusion that everyone else has.
Haley: "Then there's only one thing that it can be… It's the merge."
Smiles are shared amongst the six as eagerness and anxiousness begins to overtake them.
Henry: "I know that some of us have had our differences, but after everything we've been through I think we've built a really strong foundation with this team!"
Grins are fixated from ear to ear on everyone's faces, as if they are glued on and can't come off.
Henry: "If tonight is the merge, and we go in six strong… None of the Bass stand a chance."
Everyone immediately begins nodding in agreement.
Haley: "I'm in."
Haley smiles at her boyfriend before putting her hand in the center of the circle formation. Henry nods and puts his hand on top of hers, causing her to blush in the process.
Hector: "If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't be here… So you know that I'm game!"
Without another word, Hector adds his hand to the center. Alex continues this pattern by doing the same.
Alex: "Me too!"
Krystal and Josh look at each other and smile. Both having come into the game without knowing what a true friendship felt like found that bond within their very own team. Without saying a word, the two cheerfully add their hands to the pile and pledge their allegiance to the union that they had helped create. Henry smiles and nods confidently, entrusting the newfound allegiance that he has founded amongst his friends.
Henry: "Then here's to the Screaming Gophers, and the final six!"
The six teens begin cheering as they raise their hands to the sky, similar to the fashion that Alex, Krystal, and Josh had in their first days at Camp Wawanakwa. No longer fearing the world around them or the social anxieties that arise within it, the three teens were able to overcome all odds and obstacles to reach this point. By leaving all insecurities and fears in the past, they were able to forge a relationship for the future; not only amongst themselves, but amongst others who differentiate from them. With nothing standing in their way, a new fire ignited within them. They no longer simply strived for an internal success, but grew a desire to win the game that could prove to be too big for even the strongest of friends...
The Cafeteria.
As Jonathon is preparing for his potential final supper, he is approached by Steven and Vittoria.
Steven: "About time you showed up, traitor!"
After saying this, Steven snatches Jonathon's food tray out of his and dumps it over his head. Jonathon lets out a loud gasp after he does this, surprised by his friend's actions.
Jonathon: "What the hell, Steven?!"
Steven frowns and shrugs his shoulders.
Steven: "Seems like a fitting punishment for someone who's trying to become everybody's best friend, wouldn't you agree, Vittoria?"
Vittoria smiles at the mischief she's caused.
Vittoria: "Seems fair to me…"
Steven grins at her response.
Steven: "If I think it's fair, and Vittoria thinks it's fair, then I guess it's fair…"
Confessional Booth: Steven.
Steven: "I don't know who Jonathon thinks he is, but I will leave this game before I give up my power to someone like him!"
Steven crosses his arms, rolls his eyes up towards the sky, and curls his lip.
Steven: "I've controlled the entire game thus far, and I'm not going to let him have a single inch added to his leash! This is my game, MINE! And I will remind him of that as many times as I have to before it's engraved into that thick skull of his!"
The Cafeteria.
Jonathon wipes the mashed potatoes from his eyes and angrily flicks them down onto the floor.
Jonathon: "Is that it? Are you done? Or would you like to pour some gravy onto my head before I move?"
Steven rolls his eyes and begins to walk away, but is stopped by Jonathon.
Jonathon: "Why're you acting like this?!"
Steven turns around angrily and begins to yell at Jonathon.
Steven: "You voted off my sister!"
Jonathon begins to yell back in retaliation.
Jonathon: "I already told you, that wasn't me! I voted for Nathalie!"
Steven rips his wrist away from Jonathon's grasp.
Steven: "Good.."
Steven looks up at the tall man before giving a menacing grin.
Steven: "Then you won't have a problem voting for her again!"
Jonathon's jaw drops when Steven says this.
Jonathon: "What?!"
Steven gives a snide smile in his direction.
Steven: "Did you really think you could have the best of both worlds? Have a best friend, and get the girl too?"
Vittoria is intensely watching the conflict unfold as if it were a soap opera.
Jonathon: "Voting out Nathalie doesn't make any sense! Nourhan is a threat! It was her idea to vote for Kimi, she's been behind every single strategic decision on the other side!"
Steven laughs in disbelief at Jonathon's reaction.
Steven: "I don't understand, I thought I was doing you a favor."
Steven intentionally says this in a whiny tone and gives an over exaggerated frown.
Jonathon: "How is voting out Nathalie doing me a favor?!"
Steven laughs again as he continues to mock Jonathon.
Steven: "Didn't you just say you voted for her at the last Campfire Ceremony?"
Jonathon's rage immediately fades from his face as he comes to realize what Steven is doing.
Steven: "If you wanted her out then, what's changed now?"
Steven is no longer laughing, and finishes off his spiel in a rather serious tone.
Steven: "If you really didn't vote for Kimi, if you're really loyal to me…"
The boy takes a step forward, now just inches away from Jonathon's face.
Steven: "Then prove it…"
Jonathon is left speechless as the camera turns it's attention to Vittoria. The scheming girl is laughing silently to herself, having just witnessed her plan unfold.
Confessional Booth: Vittoria.
Vittoria's laughter transitions similarly into the confessional booth.
Vittoria: "Those boys are such morons!"
She continues to laugh as she takes both of her hands, and brushes her hair off of her shoulders.
Vittoria: "Steven, he's such an emotional player! And he's honestly screwing himself by making such brash decisions."
The girl continues to laugh at the chaos she has created.
Vittoria: "But it's so glorious to just sit back and watch as everyone self destructs for something that I did! To know that I can so easily manipulate them into doing what I want…"
Vittoria simply smiles and nods at this thought.
Vittoria: "I mean, it's a masterpiece at this point. It really is."
The Beach.
The camera is panned out to show the outline of a man sitting on the edge of the seashore. His feet appear to be in the water, his arms leaning against his knees. It isn't long before another silhouette is shown to be joining him. As she takes a seat next to him, the camera closes in on the pair of shadows. These dark figures are soon revealed to be Nathalie and Jonathon. As Nathalie rests her body against the grains of sand, she turns her head to face Jonathon. Although she is looking at him for quite some time, he seems unphased by this. He doesn't acknowledge her presence nor say a single word. Instead he chooses to focus his attention on the sun setting overhead. As he watches the sun slowly submerge beneath the clouds, he thinks of the relationships he has created with both Nathalie and Steven, all the while desperately clinging onto the ball of light for the fear of destruction that will follow with nightfall.
Nathalie: "I don't do this with other people, you know….."
Although the girl breaks her silence, Jonathon does not break his.
Nathalie: "Opening up to people isn't really my thing…"
Nathalie's voice begins to crack when she says this.
Nathalie: "I've always been made fun of and told horrible things because of what I support… One time in middle school someone told me that when I get mad, it reminded them of Bob the Tomato because my face gets really red and I'm a veggie just like he is, so…"
Nathalie trails off before placing her hands on Jonathon's cheeks once again.
Nathalie: "My point is, you have to stand up for what you believe in… regardless of what others think about your choices. You can't base your decision off of what Steven thinks is best for you or what's best for him, you have to do it for you!"
For the first time that evening, Jonathon lifts his gaze to meet hers.
Confessional Booth: Jonathon.
Jonathon: "Tonight's going to be a first for me. Not just in this game, but in my everyday life. I'm going to have to choose between two people that I genuinely care about. Steven and I have been together since day one. He's opened up to me about aspects of his personal life that he's never been able to share with anyone, but lately… I've been having doubts."
He nods when he says this.
"Am I loyal to him because I care about his feelings, or because I feel obligated to be? And then there's Nathalie. We've had a rough road, and I've only just begun to gain her trust back. But more than that, I'm seeing more to who she is as a person and there's a lot more to her deep down than she lets come to the surface."
Jonathon holds his head in his hands as he ponders which way to go.
Jonathon: "And I know that deep down, the anger that Steven has inside of him, the negativity that Nathalie exerts… It's all just a cover up for pain."
Jonathon begins to choke up when he reveals this revelation.
Jonathon: "And I know that because I've hidden behind sarcasm my entire life…"
The young man continues to doubt himself and his impending decision.
Jonathon: "This is a tough one for me, it really is… because no matter which way I go, I'm going to hurt someone in the process… Someone that's already suffered their fair share of pain."
The boy sighs again before lifting his head back up.
Jonathon: "In all honesty, this decision for me… It'll be the first one that doesn't have an ounce of strategy factored into it… It'll be entirely personal."
The Beach.
Nathalie: "Jonathon, please… I know you care… And I know that you're better than those bullies… I'm not ready to go."
Jonathon lets out a large sigh before covering his head with his forearms. Nathalie wraps her arms around the troubled boy and whispers into his ear.
Nathalie: "Just promise me that whatever you do, you're doing it because it's what you truly believe in…"
Their eyes meet once again, Jonathon's body still in her arms…
Jonathon: "I promise."
The Campfire Ceremony.
The sun has now set deep below the dark, gray clouds. There is no light left to be shed upon the situation, no hope left to cling onto...Only consequences to be received. Chris McClean has tallied all of the votes and is heading back to the few remaining Bass with a tray consisting of four marshmallows in his hand. Jonathon is sitting directly across from Chris, and right between both Nathalie and Steven. Steven crosses his arms angrily and glares at Jonathon from the corner of his eye. Nathalie's expression, however, is one of hope. For the first time in the game the girl does not seem ready to protest her fate, but rather confused in the way she feels for Jonathon and in how he feels for her.
Chris: "Well Bass, there's not much of you left! Regardless, the rules are the same. All but one camper will receive a marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow must walk the dreaded dock of shame, and board the boat of losers.
Nathalie looks to her left, attempting to get some insight as to which way Jonathon swayed.
Chris: "Tonight the first Marshmallow goes to…."
The music's beat begins to pick up as the setting intensifies.
Chris: "Jonathon!"
Chris tosses Jonathon his marshmallow. This does not please him, however, for he already knows what price he must pay for his safety.
Chris: "The next marshmallow goes to…"
Nourhan is smiling , completely confident with the plan she set into place as she receives her marshmallow.
Chris: "Nourhan!"
Nourhan raises her hand and catches her marshmallow with ease. She eats it tauntingly while staring at an enraged Vittoria. Beads of sweat begin to form on Steven's forehead as he starts to realize that he may not be as safe as previously assumed.
Chris: "Vittoria! You're also safe!"
Vittoria catches and eats her marshmallow in a similar fashion to Nourhan in an effort to mock her. Nourhan shakes her head and laughs, ready for the blindside that she so flawlessly constructed. Nathalie, however, is not so sure that everything will go as planned…
Chris: "This, campers, is the final marshmallow!"
Chris reveals the last marshmallow on the tray to the bottom two. Nathalie turns her head away from the others, choosing to focus all of her attention in Chris's direction. Preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. Steven, who has now turned his body to Jonathon, is looking for an indication that he is safe.
Steven: "Jonathon…."
Jonathon avoids eye contact with the boy, simply staring down at the fire. Steven turns his head towards the flames in front of him, thinking of the day that he watched his father's picture burn in that very pit.
Chris: "The final marshmallow goes to…"
He reminisces of the love that he gave away, along with all the things lost within those very flames. Thinking of all the bonds that were once so strong, so unbreakable… Or so thought to be. Realizing the true nature of the game, of the position he is in, Steven once again turns to face Jonathon.
Steven: "Jonathon!"
Jonathon shuts his eyes tightly, tears now streaming down his face as Chris calls out the final camper who will remain in the game. The last thing to be seen before this is revealed is the widest grin this game has seen thus far… Nourhan's grin.
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
Chris: "Steven! You're safe!"
Nourhan's grin is immediately wiped from her face as her jaw hits the floor. She is stunned beyond belief. Everything she has worked for, all the scheming that has taken place, all for nothing…
Steven: "Shocker.."
Steven's attitude immediately changes as he pops the marshmallow into his mouth, reassured that the grip he has gained over the others is unwavering.
Nathalie: "Wow."
Nathalie turns to face Jonathon, who says nothing to the appalled girl.
Nathalie: "You're a coward."
As she stands up, Nourhan follows.
Nourhan: "I'm so sorry!"
Nathalie smiles reassuringly before wrapping her arms around the girl.
Nathalie: "It's okay, we tried."
Nourhan is seen to be much more shocked and emotional than her vegan counterpart. After Nathalie pulls away, she grasps Nourhan's arms tightly before giving her some parting words of encouragement.
Nathalie: "You are beautiful, and strong, and smart. If anyone can beat them, I know it's you."
Nourhan nods tearfully before embracing her friend one last time before she makes her way down the Dock of Shame. Jonathon wipes all the tears that rest on his face, preparing himself for what is to follow.
Chris: "Well, that was by far the most dramatic campfire ceremony this game has seen!"
Nourhan is shown wiping her tears away after losing the only remaining friend she had on the island.
Chris: "As promised, however, there is still a twist to be revealed at tonight's ceremony!"
With these words, the Screaming Gophers begin to join the Killer Bass at the Campfire Ceremony. The six of them all scan the opposing team to discover that Nathalie had been voted out just moments ago. Haley, Henry, Hector, Alex, Krystal, and Josh all take a seat. Haley is still clinging onto the parchment that she was given at the conclusion of the immunity challenge.
Chris: "Gophers! As you can see, Nathalie has just been voted out in a rather dramatic campfire ceremony."
The gophers are all nodding, attempting to catch up with the pace of the game. Krystal turns her head to see Nourhan sniffling.
Confessional Booth: Krystal.
Krystal: "After today's challenge, all of the Gophers agreed that we would stick together if there was a merge tonight. But what the others don't know is that Nourhan and I formed an alliance in order to oust Kimi, and I promised her that if she carried out that plan then I would protect her. So for me, moving forward, it's a no brainer. Alex, Josh, and I continue to lead Haley, Henry, and Hector to believe that we are going to stick with them until the final six and then have a free for all when in all actuality, if we use the three of them to get rid of Vittoria, Jonathon, and Steven, we can then use Nourhan to gain the upper hand and proceed to the final four."
The Campfire Ceremony.
Chris: "Haley, has there been any speculation as to what the twist could be?"
The camera zooms in on the piece of paper in her hand.
Haley: "At first, I think that a lot of us were concerned that tonight would be a double elimination, but the more we talked about it we drew the more welcoming conclusion that there could be a merge..."
Haley crosses her fingers and laughs, drawing the attention of the Bass when she brings up this speculation.
Haley: "Maybe.. I hope so!"
Chris smiles and nods.
Chris: "Well, why don't we find out!?"
Chris signals for Hailey to open up the parchment and reveal its contents. As she unrolls the paper, several heads can be seen peering over her shoulder, including a hopeful Nourhan who is just barely hanging onto her life in the game.
Haley: "For the last several weeks, the ten of you have competed against each other in grueling challenges that test your physical strength, wits, and willpower…"
Henry and Hector, who have already read ahead of Haley begin eagerly cheering.
Haley: "You have all demonstrated the social and strategic prowess necessary to survive the first twelve eliminations…"
Nourhan's jaw drops and the corners of her mouth begin to form a smile.
Nourhan: "But now, everything is about to change…"
When Haley says this, all of the Gophers begin to cheer loudly.
Haley: "The two teams are now officially merged!"
Haley lets out screams of joy as she raises her hands to the sky and kicks her feet in the air. The only person's cheers who can rival her own are Nourhan's, who has just been given second life in the game. Jonathon, Vittoria, and Steven are not as excited by this news. Jonathon has once again buried his face in his hands, Vittoria is left in utter shock, and Steven is seen shaking his head in disappointment.
Steven: "Unbelievable."
Confessional Booth: Steven.
It's evident by the sound of Steven's voice that he is displeased by the announcement of the merge.
Steven: "An hour ago, I held all the cards. But now…"
Steven shakes his head and begins running his hands through his hair.
Steven: "Now team Kum Ba Yah has the upper hand and that cat-worshiping freak is an absolute liability to us…We're screwed."
Steven throws his hands up into the air, a feeling of absolute defeat now setting in.
The Campfire Ceremony.
As the Gophers continue to cheer, Nourhan's smile grows wider. In this moment, after every defeat she's endured, this turning point is all that matters because she knows that, just like the note had said, everything is about to change…
Confessional Booth: Nourhan.
Nourhan: "Jonathon, Steven, and Vittoria have been absolutely horrible to me this entire game! They've made fun of me, they manipulated me into voting out my boyfriend, they lied to me on several occasions, and they just voted out my best friend!"
Nourhan is so enraged as she speaks that she is on the verge of yelling.
Nourhan: "But now, sweet justice has come!"
Nourhan clasps her hands together and looks towards the sky.
Nourhan: "The merge is here, and every last one of them is done."
The girl flattens her palm and moves it across her throat.
Nourhan: "They're dead to me. Everyone single one of them. Dead!"
