The response that I got for that one chapter was really awesome! Thank all of you guys for that! I wasn't expecting that, and especially not so long after I had last updated it. That was cool. Also, a big shout out to Duchess67, for reviewing a lot and giving me a lot of helpful hints and pointers.
"So, what happened, exactly, to your wife?" I asked.
"I would rather not talk about that, if that makes any difference to you." He said in a hoarse voice.
"Okay, so change of subject, then." I hesitated, wondering if the moment was right. "There was this woman, who came to visit me when I was in the hospital."
"What sort of woman?"
"Um, well she said her name was... well, she said to give you a message..." I hedged.
"And the message was?" he asked, starting to forget about the statue for the moment.
"Bad Wolf." I whispered. "I-I don't know if that makes any sense to you, but she seemed to think you would understand it. And she gave me this." I pulled out a letter from the jacket, handing it to him.
He, one again, looked like he had seen a ghost. His face was pale, and his hands were shaking as he delicately took the letter from me, as if it were carrying explosives. He pulled me over to an empty corner in the library hall, and opened the letter delicately and neatly.
Doctor,
I have entrusted this letter to your daughter in hopes that she will give it to you on time. I am not really sure how to go about this, so I will start off by telling you that that was the one and only jump left in the dimension cannon. I felt that it was important for you to know that my universe here is crumbling, and that the stars are continuing to go out, even though it was a temporary fix when Donna turned left, (though none of us knew it at the time). It is too late to save us, so don't really even try, we'll be okay, my Doctor and I. Plus Mum, Tony, Dad... and my baby. We have the TARDIS, and she is almost done growing. Be sure to tell Donna thanks. Back to the problems at hand. The Earth is just crumbling away, literally. There is only 10% of the land that used to be here. I know that this world is running ahead of yours, so try and stop whatever happened and went wrong with yours. There is someone that could help, however. An old friend. Go get her, ask her for help, even though I know it isn't easy for you to do.
Yours Truly,
Rose Tyler, The Bad Wolf
He read all of that all out loud for me. I looked at his face carefully, trying to judge whether he believed the letter or not. He looked horrified.
"Doctor?" I asked quietly. When he didn't reply, I tried again. "Dad?"
He took a shaky breath, quickly wiping a hand across his face to wipe away what I assumed was a tear.
"So, not okay?"
"I- we should get to the databanks." he muttered, walking away.
"Dad? Dad! Wait up!" I called at him. He continued walking at the brisk pace, completely ignoring me.
I huffed, started running, then tripped over someone's foot and landed face-first on the floor.
"Ow" was the first thing I said when I regained my balance. People were surrounding me, looking at me like I was about to explode or something. "It's okay people, completely fine. I'm... sorry I tripped?"
A/N- So this one is a bit shorter, because I have not really had that much time to work on it. Also, I really need a beta, like seriously. Without someone breathing down my neck all the time, I am not as motivated. Also, I was going to upload this a lot sooner, but got busy with finals and stuff. The waits will be shorter, I promise!
