Instead of going back upstairs to their room after their drinks with Bonnie and Jeremy, the exes went to the room where their team was. Kol was in the room with Matt, Rebekah and Klaus. Caroline was in Elena's and Elijah's room checking for the bugs and to see if they had cameras.
"What was Silas like?" Rebekah asked in her soft English accent as she was setting up the surveillance equipment for the team.
"Unusual. He wasn't cruel." Elena replied as she removed her leather jacket and tossed it on the sofa. "I thought he was suppose to be that way."
"He wants money from you Elena don't be naive." Elijah sneered rolling his eyes as he removed his suit's jacket. He unbuttoned his cuffs and and rolled his sleeves up his arm to his elbows. Elena could see the black cursive writing on his inner right forearm. Елена. It was Elena's name in Bulgarian; she remembered the time when they got those tattoos. She had his name on her right hip in the same language and same cursive writing. She was in the process of getting the tattoo removed, but she didn't have time for the laser treatments.
"I am not. He is a monster, I hate him." Elena rolled her eyes and walked away from him to help Rebekah with the equipment until Caroline came into the room.
"All bugs and cameras done if Silas asks tell him that you don't like being spied on." Caroline said while she was taking her maid uniform off to put back on her regular clothes. "So how is tapping into security cameras, sis?"
"Sis in law." Rebekah laughed "Only Lena can call me sis."
"Not anymore." Elijah breathed under his breath while he was going over photographs taken of Silas hoping to find one of his silent partners. But all the photographs had either Silas with Tessa or Silas with Amara. "We are going to need to get really close to him."
"Actually it seems he only wants to be close Elena. She looks like the Petrova sisters, he didn't threaten her and he shooed you out of the room just to be alone with her." Caroline said as she pulled up the video from Silas's cameras onto her IPad showing them the video from Silas's cameras. Caroline was right Silas's focus was on just Elena the whole time Elijah was in the room even after Elijah left.
A low growl grew in Elijah's chest; it was one mixed of jealous and protectiveness of his ex wife. But mostly Elijah was jealous since he had seen Elena blushing as her reaction to Silas. He walked away from the group and stormed into the adjoining room.

"Elijah?" Elena asked timidly as she closed the door behind her after entering the room. She saw through the darkness Elijah had a drink in his hand as he was looking out the window. A sigh passed through her lips and her feet lead her over to him.
"Talk to me please." She placed her hand on his shoulder only for him to shrug it off. "You know what Elijah I am not sorry for blushing. Being complimented is nice and I am not going to be sorry for a natural reaction." She snapped before she started to step away from him until he grabbed her arm.
"I am angry because of Silas. He wants you Elena, he wants to turn you into all of the girls he had wanted before. You saw how scared Amara was and how tough Tessa tried to act before they both cracked." Elijah said as he was pulling Elena close to him.
"I am not going to let Silas hurt me or brainwash me." Elena assured him moving her hand away and placed it on his shoulder like she did earlier. "We are going to stop him and go..."
"...go what? Home? Back to normal?" He questioned her. "My home is an apartment. My normal is getting to see my daughter a week out of the month and seeing my love with another man. When we go back it is going to suck for me while you get to live your life the way you probably dreamed of."
"You think I dreamed of being divorced before I was thirty, that I grew to hate the man I once loved and that helped get over the pain I went through. No this isn't what I dreamed of. I had my dream before and then it was all a nightmare." Elena exclaimed before she stormed out of the room going out onto the balcony.

"And Uncle Ric plays Frankie for me." Ava told her mom over the cell phone conversation the two were having.
"That is nice of him, are you playing with the baby and Jo too?" Elena asked Ava with a smile on her face as she was looking out at the city view.
"Yes mommy. Luke bites the head of my toys."
"Sweetie he is just a baby. Soon he can play Monster High with you" Elena laughed a little.
"You and daddy will be home?"
"When will daddy and you be home. Soon sweetie. I promise sweetie." Elena missed her daughter so much and hated leaving her alone. Usually Elena took a week off between jobs to spend time with Ava, but the Silas case had her swamped in work. She planned on taking a whole month off to be with Ava.
Elijah walked out onto the balcony quietly and smiled when he heard Elena talking to Ava. He knew Elena hated leaving Ava alone. He did too, it wasn't how he wanted to raise his child. With nannies and family members watching Ava instead of Elena and himself. He had to learn about Ava's speech problem by Lexi since he was out on a mission and Elena was busy at the office. His parents raised him like they were raising Ava but he didn't want to do that, though that is how exactly he was raising her.
"Ok mommy. Daddy talk?"
Elena felt the phone slipping from her hands making her turn her head to see Elijah.
"Hey little princess tell me how you have been." He said with a chuckle in his voice and a smile on his face.
"Ric plays Monster High with me. Luke bites my dolls. Jo is busy. Teacher says I am doing better." Ava told her dad excitedly. She was happy she was able to talk to her dad about what was going on in her life. She might have almost four but she wasn't clueless, she knew something was going on with her parents. What she didn't understand why she saw her mom more than her dad, well she saw Lexi more than both parents.
"Well that is good to hear princess. Tell me everything I have missed." Elijah gave Elena a nod to let her know he was ok, that he just wanted to talk to their daughters now.
Elena mouthed 'ok' before she went inside to find out what the team had planned to get Elena and Elijah closer to Silas.

Caroline had found out that Silas owned a club in the city and went there every night. Elena and Elijah decided that they would show up there, and the two would try to see who Silas hangs out with. Elijah was waiting for Elena to come out of the bathroom in their suite; usually Elena could get ready in five minutes but with the missions she took a little longer. He enjoyed her natural beauty over the glammed up version of her.
But his jaw dropped when he saw her exist the bathroom. There she stood in a black mesh panel club skater dress with a pair of black platform pumps decorated with silver spikes. Her natural waves showed off after she blow dried her hair. Her make up was simple except for the smoky eyes that showed off her warm brown eyes.
"Too much?" Elena asked sheepishly like she used to when the two went out to a club or on a mission like this one.
"Not at all. You look beautiful." He assured with a boyish grin that usually Kol would have in front of a beautiful woman. Elena blushed extremely before remembering who he was and moved aside to grab her gold chained black purse. She slid it up her arm to rest on her shoulder. Double checking her purse making sure she had her ID, hotel key, gun, cell phone and lip gloss. "You ready?" He checked with her as Elena was closing her her bag.
"Yes I am, let's go before I change my mind and call Mikael." Elena walked out the door with Elijah as he was calling Kol to come give.

"Tell us about Silas's partners and we can cut you a deal." The lawyer Davina told Amara Petrova.
"I would have told you already none of us knew who his partners were. Just because he was sleeping with all of us didn't mean he shared everything with us. I just know them by nicknames. He called them E, S, D, M, K and Dr. M. That is all I got from listening to him on the phone." Amara said in her softly Bulgarian accent.
Davina turned her head to Mikael and shook his head at her. Davina sighed and turned back to the scared girl. "I am sorry that isn't enough for a deal." Davina stood up and went over to Mikael.
"Call Marcel he is talking with Tessa maybe those could get some rise out of Tessa." Mikael ordered Davina.
"We should still cut her a deal, she is terrified and she didn't do anything." Davina whispered to Mikael while her gaze was on the panicking scared Amara.
"She did by being with Silas now follow my orders Davina." He growled at her before he left the room and leaving Davina to let out a loud sigh. As Davina was leaving she ordered the Law agents to send Amara back to her cell

"Do E, S, D, M, K, and Dr. M sound familiar to you?" Marcel asked Tessa as he getting quite annoyed that she was just talking about what an ass Silas can be or just reading the book she was allowed to read.
"Yes, that is what Silas called his partners." Tessa confirmed Amara's information.
"Great do you know their names?" Marcel said hoping for a breakthrough on the case.
"No but I met S, D, M and E. They are all guys. I've never met K or Dr. M before. Silas never partners himself with a woman though. He said women are meant for the bedroom not the boardroom." Tessa told Marcel as she was looking down at her nails. "Do I get a deal now?"
"Once you can identify these men or give us names, until then no." Marcel said standing up and leaving the room to get the guards to take Tessa back to her cell.
"Wait. I can tell you about S and D. They are Silas's younger brothers. I know that for sure, I have seen the family tree." Tessa yelled at Marcel. Marcel turned back at her before turning to Mikael
"We will pull his family tree to identify this." Mikael said once the guards took Tessa back to her cell kicking and yelling in Greek. Marcel walked off seeing Davina looking upset. He understood but it came with the job. The guilt.

Silas looked at two of his partners who decided to join him at the club for a drink. They were looking for women for him since his three girlfriends seemed to have vanished. Silas didn't really care for Tessa just her power and Tatia had been great in bed. However he had a true relationship with Amara, poor innocent Amara who he had been trying to tame.
"Silas mate, how about that little redhead." Enzo suggested nodding his head out to the dance floor below them from Silas's office.
"I hate redheads. Just like blondes or girls with unnatural hair colors. They are annoying or boring. Like Genevieve was or worse that annoying twit Sarah." Silas smirked as he threw back a shot Mason had poured him.
"Well how about her. She came in with someone. Totally your type, she looks a little like Kathy." Mason said looking down. The other man stood up from their V.I.P booth and looked over the edge with Mason. Silas smirked even chuckled when he saw who Mason was speaking of.
"She looks like Katherine because she happens to be Katherine's twin sister and that is her husband. But I always liked a challenge." Silas said with a wicked grin on his face before he left to catch up Elena and Elijah to not only find out why they were here, but to hopefully flirt his way into Elena's panties.
Sorry for not updating for a while, but I have been working on my other stories so don't hate me. So obviously two of his partners are Mason and Enzo, you can figure out who the rest are but I think it is obvious who they will be. Also there will be another flashback and a little steam between Elijah and Elena in present time and past. I wanted to give more than Elena and Elijah's pointview. Also I wanted to show more of the tension between the pair but then see them calm down with Ava which is awww. Lol. I love the reviews please keep them coming. Oh and if you read my Great Stallion story ideas I will be doing both. The first one will be The Great Stallion and the second will be The Mates because it was a tie and I love both stories.
