A hand was resting on her stomach as she took a few deep breaths. She heard her stomach growl a tad as she rested her head on his shoulder. Ellie hummed along with the song that was on the radio softly. The thought of what she was doing, how she should be at home with Ryan went through her head. Yet, she could not bring herself to leave Dean's side.
"We should get you fed and back home," Dean said as he pulled into the parking lot and parked his car. He looked at her for a moment before he got out and shut the door behind him. Dean waited for Elle to get off the car. His heart ached when he looked back at the woman sitting in his beloved car. He perked a brow at her when he saw the shocked and pained look on her face.
Getting out of the car, Eleanor kept the shocked and pained look on her features, closing the door before she walked up to him. She shook her head at him. Elle couldn't believe what she just heard come out of his mouth. They had just had a fight about all of it the night before when she told him she couldn't go back to Ryan. Ellie knew how Ryan would react to her being pregnant with Dean's child. She knew he would flip shit and she knew she would not be able to handle how bad she had ended up hurting him.
"I can't go home, Dean. In case you haven't noticed, I have gained quite a bit of weight. I look like a beached whale, Dean. Plus, Ryan knows something is up. He's not stupid, he's starting to put things together. He'll figure out that I'm pregnant with your kid," She said as she ran a hand through her hair and walked up to the diner. Ellie walked in, Dean hot on her heels as she made her way to an empty table.
The waitress showed up shortly after they sat down and asked if she could get them anything to drink. Elle heard Dean order a coffee, she couldn't help but sigh. What she would do to have a coffee or a beer or to be able to hunt. She could feel the waitress' eyes on her, Ellie glanced up at her before ordering a Pepsi. Before she could ask if they were ready to order, Dean changed his coffee to a Pepsi as well. He also ordered a bacon cheeseburger for himself before his green eyes moved to Ellie. After ordering a stack of chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, hash browns, and scrambled eggs, the waitress left them.
Ella let her eyes move down to her stomach, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. She could not bear to look at him. He was her first love, the one guy who would always have her heart and soul. Dean was one of three people she could count on, no questions asked. If she needed him, he was there. There were things she had told Dean and no one else. Bobby, Sam, Katie, nor Ryan knew that was the way she wanted things to be like, at least for the time being. She wanted nothing more than to go back in time where things were simpler and easier. A time where the only thing she had to worry about was what she was going to wear to school and if any girls were hitting on Dean when she wasn't around.
"Ella, I didn't mean it like that. I just meant that we need to get you home to tell Ryan then take you wherever you would like to your dad's or wherever," Dean's husky voice broke into her thoughts. His greens eyes that normally looked at her with love, lust, and wanting were now filled with pain. He wished he had thought about what he had said before he opened his mouth. Reaching across the table, Dean reached up and brushed the tears that from threaten to fall off her cheeks.
Leaning into his hand, she lightly held his hand there with one of her own. Ellie wanted nothing more than to be able to keep the warmth from his body next to hers'. She gave him a gentle smile when he said he meant he was going to take her wherever she wanted to disappear. Eleanor simply nodded her head at him as their waitress came back with the drinks, giving Dean a wink and a smirk before leaving them alone again.
Ellie looked over at Dean after their waitress left, she rolled her eyes when she noticed that their waitress was checking Dean out with her sitting right there. She didn't look up until she felt his hand under her chin, forcing her to look at him. The love, lust, and wanting were back in his green eyes as he gazed into her hazel ones. Dean gently pushed a piece of her hair out of her face with a smile. His rough thumb brushed against her soft lips gently before he stood up a little and reached across the table, his lips crashing with hers' briefly before he sat back down. His smile grew wider as he let his green eyes fall back on her.
"I love you, Ellie Mae Singer," his voice was soft, sweet, and filled with love and lust as he spoke to her. Dean took her hand in his before kissing it gently, he glanced down at her stomach with a smirk. It was still surreal to the hunter, he was finally having a child of his own. One that would call him 'Dad', the thought alone caused the thirty-two-year-old to smile. The idea of being called 'Dad' and his childhood sweetheart being called 'Mom' by the same child was starting to make all of his childhood dreams come true.
"I love you, Dean Winchester," she said as their waitress came back with their food and topped their drinks off before asking if they needed anything else, leaving when they shook their heads at her and started to dig into their meals. Eleanor only hoped that she'd be able to keep the food she was eating down, she was far from the mood to rush to the bathroom to throw up. She was new to the whole pregnancy thing, she had gone and seen a doctor when the four tests she took at home came back positive. There weren't many people that she had told yet, mainly because she wasn't sure if she still believed it herself.
Dean ran one of his hands through his hair as the other dug his wallet out of his jacket pocket. He smiled over at Ellie as she finished off the last of her bacon and chocolate chip pancakes. Reaching across the table, he grabbed her hand in his before giving it a gentle squeeze, kissing it softly. He was ready to hit the road if she was and only when she was, he didn't want to make her feel like he was rushing her. Dean was already preparing himself for what her father would do once he found out his daughter was carrying a child that he helped make. He wasn't sure how Bobby would react when they told him. Yet, he was more worried about when she told Ryan she was leaving, what she was going to be telling Ryan. The look in her eyes put him at ease a bit, he had always seemed to be relaxed when she looked at him with a sweet and caring look.
"Ready?" His voice was laced with love and longing as he stood up from the booth they were sitting at, reaching out a hand to help her out of her side. She ran a hand through her hair before nodding her head as Dean placed two twenties on the table as he gently pulled her up. He kissed her cheek gently before he started for the door, Ellie close behind him. They walked out to the Impala, hand in hand. It didn't take them long to get to the car and get in before they were backing out of their parking spot and heading towards the motel Dean was staying at for a while now.
"It might be best for you to stay in the Impala, I'd even park around the block when I go tell Ryan. I don't want you getting in the middle of it, it would only make things worse. If things go south, I'll call, okay?" Ellie said as she turned to look at him, her hazel eyes were soft, scared, and filled with love. She rested her head on his shoulder as he drove down the road towards the parking lot. Dean leaned over and kissed the top of her head before giving her a nod of his own head. Before either of them knew it, they were back at the motel and getting out of the Impala that they both loved and shared so many memories in.
"No, I get it, Ella. Trust me, I'll just be around the corner if you do call. J-just be careful in there and remember that whatever happens in there, I still love you no matter what." Dean said as he pulled her closer to him before walking into the motel room. He quickly picked up his clothes around the room and packed them in his duffle bags before grabbing them, heading to the door. Dean kissed her passionately, one hand through her red hair that he could never get enough of since the day he first met her. His other hand rested on her left side, his fingertips just barely pass the scars from the wendigo when they were eighteen years old. A small frown appeared on his lips but he never broke the kiss. He couldn't bring himself to do it until Eleanor broke away, resting her forehead on his chin. She pulled away from him and towards the door.
"Let's go get this over with, huh?" She asked her left eyebrow raised with her hand on the doorknob. She was not ready for this nor did she have any idea what she was going to tell Ryan. Ellie knew it wouldn't really matter in the end as she knew that whatever she came up with was going to hurt him no matter what she did or said. Opening the door she looked back at Dean who nodded at her before he was hot on her heels on the way out the door. She took a deep breath before she unlocked her car and tossed her purse in once she had the door open. She took a deep breath in before glancing over at Dean who was getting into the Impala, she nodded at him before getting into her own car. It didn't take long for her to make her way to the house she was living in with Ryan after she had started the car up. Putting the car in the park gear once it was in the driveway nicely, taking a deep breath in as she grabbed her purse before getting out of the car. Ellie ran a hand through her red hair as she got out and headed up towards the front door. She unlocked the door, walking in as her eyes searched the area. So far there was no sign of Ryan, but that didn't mean that he wasn't somewhere else in the house. The smell of toast and coffee came from the kitchen, while the smell of his aftershave came from the bathroom. Making her way towards the kitchen, she glanced at the clock on the wall. There was a small chance that he had already left for work but a gut feeling knew better. A small sigh left her lips as she pushed the swinging door to the kitchen open and peeked in only to find it empty. She shrugged softly before she started for the stairs that were to her right, her eyebrows knotted together when she heard it. Ryan and another woman, she wasn't sure what they were doing but it didn't sound good nor right. Eleanor took a deep breath once she got to the top of the stairs, heading towards their bedroom door. She wasn't surprised to find it unlocked but she was surprised to find Ryan in bed with his best friend's wife, both of whom were shocked to see Ellie.
"El-Ellie, what are you doing here? I thought you were going to be spending the day with Kate?" Ryan asked, his face turning red as fear crossed his eyes. He was trying to quickly get out of bed while making sure that the other woman stayed covered with the bed sheets. He pulled on his boxers on as he made his way over to her, his arms outstretched for her but she shook her head and took a few steps back from him.
"Something came up and I needed some extra clothes but I guess I'll just be packing all my things now," Ellie said as she walked over to the dresser and started to pack her things. It didn't take her long to get her clothes and things from and around the dresser before she moved onto the closest. She figured at this point she could just not tell him about what she did with Dean and how she is now pregnant with his child but she also knew there would be a chance that Ryan would just hear from the grapevine and just figure it out for himself.
"I didn't mean for you find out this way, I was planning on telling you tonight when you came home. I'm so so sorry, Ellie." His voice was soft, caring, filled with self-hate. Of course, he knew that what he was caught doing was not the way he wanted to break things off with her, he was hoping to tell Ellie about his affair when she got home. He ran a hand through his hair as he grabbed his clothes, passing his best friend's wife her clothes. Ryan watched Eleanor as she packed up every little trace of herself that she could see or at least wanted.
"Don't worry about it, Ryan. I had a moment of weakness while you were overseas and slept with my ex, I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. No hard feelings, Ry. Trust me, I deserved worse than this. I hope you two are happy together," she said with a small smile as she packed up the last of her things from the closest, quickly moving towards the bathroom. Eleanor gathered up all her hair, makeup, and other bathroom things up and packed them in a bag before making her way towards the bedroom and towards the stairs. "Whatever I left behind, feel free to do whatever you'd like with. Give it away, burn it, donate it, whatever." Elle nodded at the two of them before she took off the engagement ring and set it on the dresser. She then grabbed up the duffle bags and started for the door to the stairs. She could hear Ryan calling after her but she didn't look back, she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled her phone out before calling Dean.
Dean didn't even wait for the second ring before he picked up the phone when she called him. He was worried something went wrong, that he would have to go save her again. His heart raced as he put the phone to his ear, there were a thousand thoughts going through his mind as he waited around the corner in the Impala for her. Dean had started her up and pulled away from the curb as he pushed the thoughts out of his mind. He could hear her voice on the other line telling him that everything went pretty much as planned and that she'd explain more when she met him down at the corner. Of course, it didn't take him long to meet her at the corner nor did it take her long to throw her bags in the back seat before climbing into the front with him. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders before kissing her head. Knowing her for as long as he as, he knew that if she wanted to talk about what happened back at Ryan's that she'd say something. The fact that she wasn't talking meant she really didn't want to talk about it or that she was still trying to process it herself.
"I walked in on him with his best friend's wife in our bed, he claimed he was planning on telling me if I had gone home tonight. I told him not to worry about it because I cheated on him while he was overseas with you and now I'm carrying your child. Ryan doesn't know it's you as in you, I told him I slept with an ex. I packed up what I wanted and what was mine and got out of there, I didn't want to know what else he had to say and I didn't really have anything else to say to him. What else could he really say other than sorry again and again with that woman in our bed," she said, shrugging her shoulders at the end. Her voice was hoarse a little, she couldn't sit there and let him wonder what happened back in the house with the guy she was due to marry in less than a year. Elle leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder as he drove down the road, her hand moving to turn the radio on ever so quietly. The memories of their younger years flooding her mind as she watched the trees go by on their way to her father's house. She felt him kiss the top of her head as he hummed along with the song softly, listening to her talk and rubbing her right shoulder. His humming calmed her before she even knew it her eyes were closed in a matter of moments. Ellie soon found herself humming along with Dean and the song, excited for the fact that she was going to get to see her father after a few years of living in California, out of the hunting life.
"Well, he didn't deserve you. I bet he didn't even know how that you take your coffee different in the morning than you do at night," he said as he pulled her closer to his side as he sped up down the road. Dean knew that Eleanor took a shot of Irish whiskey in her coffee at night normally, she had to have four spoonfuls of sugar and a dash of cream in her coffee in the morning. He knew that she preferred bacon to sausage with her breakfast, that she loved pancakes but wasn't a huge fan of waffles. She liked whiskey over beer and not the cheap whiskey either, his Ella had high standards for the liquor she put in her body. Eleanor loved bacon on her cheeseburgers and her favorite pie was apple, she was far from a morning person before at least three cups of coffee. He had picked up on these little things over the years they had spent together, on and off the road. Dean ran his hand through her hair softly as he continued to drive down the road towards Bobby's house. He knew that she was on edge even if she never said she was, he knew messing around with her hair a bit would calm her along with playing some of their favorite songs on the radio. He saw her push in the cassette that was barely poking out of the radio, a smile appeared on his face. Dean hummed softly along with the tune as he noticed her eyes close softly. He figured she was out of it with everything that had been going on, he wasn't about to keep her from getting some rest if that was what she needed to get at the moment. Dean knew that they still had a couple hours worth of driving left to do before getting to her childhood house, the thought of her being at Bobby's put him at ease a bit. It gave him a sense of relaxation, knowing that both her and Bobby would have each other to look at for the other. He knew with Eleanor being pregnant meant she'd be out of hunting at least until the baby was born and Bobby was getting to the point where he was too old to be hunting.
