Chapter 4

All eyes were fixed upon a green plane with a Capsule Corp. logo printed on its side above the lookout tower. Slowly, the plane descended upon the marbled tiles below. The entire group that had already congregated before the new arrivals were silent. Goku was about to run over and greet his two long-time friends until he noticed Bulma's expression. She was not acting like the same cheery and bouncy scientist he knew her to be, at least not at this moment. She slowly stepped out of the plane and looked down at her feet, wearing a hurt, yet, disgusted mask upon her face.

'Something's not right here. Why does Bulma look so... hurt? I haven't seen her like this since, well... when Yamcha died.' Goku thought inwardly. He then took notice of Yamcha who got out and stood right next to the blue-haired scientist. The former bandit shoved his hands in his pockets and mimicked her same expression. Goku scowled. 'Do they even notice that I am here right now? It's been several years and they haven't even made an effort to acknowledge me.' The saiyan slowly turned to look at Vegeta, who was off at the edge of the tower standing behind a tree. 'Vegeta is being extremely distant, even for his standards.' The tall saiyan then looked down and saw an older version of baby Trunks, who was watching his mother with a confused expression plastered upon his face. He too seemed off, in fact, the entire atmosphere seemed a bit shaky and awkward. Goku decided to play it off and go greet his friends.

"Hey guys! Long time no see." the dead saiyan announced.

The blue-haired scientist slowly raised her head in disbelief. She saw the person who left her several years ago for reasons she still couldn't fully grasp. The same person who saved the earth countless times. The same person she called her best friend ever since she was sixteen. It was him. 'Yamcha was right. He tried telling me that he felt an energy that was similar to Goku's. I thought he was crazy, but-.' she thought. "G-Goku? But, how?" Bulma asked with tears vacating her eyes. The tall saiyan approached her with a signature smile that was all too familiar to her. Rubbing the back of his head, the saiyan replied, " well, that's a long story ha ha. I'll have to tell you guys later." She smiled sadly and wiped away her tears. It had been such an emotional day for her already. She couldn't believe that she didn't notice Goku at all when they had arrived.

"Hey, so it really was you that I had sensed. I can't believe it's really you Goku." Yamcha said as he followed behind Bulma's footsteps. He was in shock but remained in a calm state, sending his old friend a warm smile. "How come you didn't inform us on your arrival?"

"Yeah jerk! You weren't even going to tell us were you? Typical Goku." Bulma stated, hoping to turn the attention towards Goku's characteristics and away from her unawareness to his presence. Although, she did feel bad for her words, she wasn't exactly wrong. Goku just gave her an apologetic, yet confused, expression.

"C'mon Bulma. Give the guy a break. He just got here." Krillen piped in from behind.

Bulma ignored his statement. The blue-haired scientist leaned forward and embraced her long time friend. Goku looked down and looked up to Yamcha. The former bandit didn't look right ever since he saw him. Yamcha noticed Goku inspecting his features. He knew that Goku was usually ignorant about many things and even certain situations a lot of times, but he knew Goku could sense that there was something off about people, especially if it was his friends. Bulma and himself weren't necessarily feeling very proud of themselves at the moment, and in result, felt very dark within themselves. Yamcha stuck his hands in his pockets and turned away from Goku's vision.

Bulma was happy to see Goku, but more importantly, she just needed someone to be there for her. To hold and embrace her. But wait. Why is she using Goku for this action? Shouldn't she be getting this treatment from someone else? From the man who just attempted to propose to her just a little while ago? From the man who had his heart crushed by her childish actions? From a man in which she had no idea even had a heart, let alone one for her? From a man who...loved her? Loved. Her eyes snapped open and she released Goku. 'Vegeta! No! He has to be here somewhere! Please! I-I love him...' the scientist thought frantically with tears in her eyes as she looked all over for the prince. Everyone was looking on in confusion, including a certain lavender-haired child, who was viewing from a short distance. Then, at that moment, Bulma spotted a familiar spiky-haired pattern growing from behind a distant tree. She was frozen in her tracks. All this time she was searching for him, yet, she found herself to be more frightened than she ever had been in her life. It wasn't when Piccolo almost ruled the world, or when Vegeta first came to earth, or when she was on planet Namek, or when she was pregnant with Trunks, or when the androids and Cell almost destroyed her planet. No, this was the most terrifying moment of her life.

"I wouldn't go over there right now. He looks pretty mad to me. Here, let me go talk to him, alright?" Goku said with a wink, as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Wait, Goku! I have something that I have to tell him first!" Yamcha said aloud.

"Hm? No offense Yamcha, but I don't want to see you in the other world alongside me." Goku stated as he pointed to his halo above.

"What does he mean by that?" Yamcha questioned silently. 'You know something's up don't you?' Yamcha slowly walked up beside Bulma to watch the exchange. Neither one said a word.

Goku approached the prince with caution, but not in fear. It had been years since he had seen Vegeta, and even though he received little updates on his friends and family every now and then, he wasn't too sure about what had apparently just transpired. 'He's not within himself right now.' Goku noted as he walked up behind Vegeta.

"Hey Vegeta! Long time no see huh?" Goku said positively, trying to pull his superior back into this realm. The taller saiyan received no word, nor reaction, from the smaller saiyan. "Vegeta?" Goku asked. He received the same result. At this point, Goku looked back at everyone, who was watching with concern and curiosity. However, the two newest members were showing signs of irritation and frustration. Slowly reaching his hand out, Goku gently placed it onto Vegeta's shoulder. Goku soon realized that was a mistake. Vegeta quickly grabbed his hand with his full power in his base form and almost crushed it. Feeling a slight break, Goku winced at the pain, but he did not yell out loud. He knew that this would be one way to get Vegeta to respond, and if it meant fighting him, then so be it.

"Fool. You will immediately leave my presence. Do I make myself clear?" Vegeta stated, in low cynical voice. Goku felt like Vegeta could go off at anytime. Goku felt that maybe it wasn't the best idea or best time to be questioning the prince and that Vegeta would talk about whatever the problem may be when he was ready to. However, a certain blue-haired scientist had other ideas in mind. "It's okay Goku. I'll take it from here now. Thank you." Bulma said from behind with a sad smile.

"Bulma, I don't think now is the -" Goku tried pleading.

"No, it's okay. Vegeta, can we talk?"

Meanwhile on Earth Land

Nightfall had almost come over the town of Fiore and our usual suspects of Wendy and Charle, Natsu and Happy, Gray, Erza, and Lucy were hanging out by the bridge and riverside near Lucy's apartment complex. Lucy was taking her usual walk along the bridge wall carelessly, Erza was meditating, Natsu and Gray were surprisingly getting along and eating together, and Wendy was happily chatting with Happy and Charle. It had been a long day, and the group felt like relaxing out in the beautiful dusk-filled sky.

"Man, I can't wait for this tournament to start! What a great way to build our guild's reputation and kick ass in the process!" the fiery, pink-haired mage exclaimed.

"Again, for thousandth time, we get it Natsu. Can you talk about something else for once?" Erza replied. Natsu was about to respond until Lucy interrupted. She had been wandering around while watching the stars and thinking deeply to herself.

"Hey, do you guys ever wonder what's out there? Like, if there are others out there somewhere?" she asked aloud.

"Like alien fish with three heads?" Happy replied with hearts in his eyes.

"Well, that wasn't exactly what I was thinking, but something along those lines. Like, do you think there are others that are similar to us out there, to be more specific?" she continued.

"Why are you being weird right now?" Natsu asked.

"Shut up Natsu! Lucy is asking an interesting question, something of which you couldn't even come up with on your own." Erza replied with a smirk.

"Hey!" Natsu yelled. Behind him were Gray and Happy snickering.

"I bet there are! Why do you ask Lucy?" Wendy asked with a smile.

"Oh no reason at all. Sometimes, I just get to thinking things, ya know? It's fun to dream about crazy stuff like that I guess ha ha. Don't mind me, I'm just talking nonsense." the blonde beauty said just before a small meteor shower began raining across the midnight blue and burnt orange sky.

Everyone stopped and looked to the heavens. It was an array of colors streaking across the sky at forces in which they couldn't even fathom. They all couldn't help but smile. Wendy pulled her legs closer to her and smiled deeply. "I don't think it's nonsense, Lucy." the young dragon slayer softly said.

Back on Earth

She had never felt so guilty in her life. At the time, it had just been a harmless act. At least, that's what she had thought when she was in the moment. It was something that helped her take the edge off. She was so stressed from work, and dealing with "him" and Trunks all the time just added more to her already full plate. Little did she think, it was her family. That's what it was supposed to feel like, and be like. But why take care of a man who didn't care for you? One that only used you for food, shelter, and training equipment? He never tried being compassionate or intimate with her. All she wanted was to be shown that he cared for her. Whether it be by words or touch, she just wanted something. But, he did show something. He stayed on earth for her and their son. He never left them in all of these years and stayed close at all times. He would always mention that he needed to stay close in case danger would arise again. He did care. For Trunks. And for her. Vegeta was not a human man. He never thought of cheating or looking at another female, like Yamcha would do, or like most other men would do. No, he was a saiyan. A saiyan prince, who had been broken and scarred from a past life in which he would barely even talk about. He was a hard man. He tried his best in everything he did and would eventually do. He was trying his best, in his own way, for her and Trunks and she couldn't see that. Bulma thought she knew Vegeta better than anyone, and yet, she couldn't even see that he loved her. Loved her enough to break away from his strong pride and ask her to marry him in a human traditional fashion. And she threw it all away by having meaningless "fun". Just because she was "needing" something more. It wasn't even the first time that she even committed this treasonable act. In fact, it had been multiple times. She even committed such acts not long after Trunks was born. Vegeta had been in space training, and wasn't even aware that he had a son. Bulma felt that at this moment, she just needed to apologize. Asking for forgiveness wouldn't be enough. It would have to be a process.

"H-hi Vegeta. I just wanted to tell you something." Bulma said quietly. Goku began to get into defensive mode. He still wasn't sure of what was going on, but he wouldn't let anything happen to his best friend. However, Vegeta never answered and remained stagnant. She thought this would be her moment to continue. "Look, you don't have to say anything. I just wanted to come here and apologize. What I did was wrong, and you have every right to be angry. But you have to understand, I had no intention of hurting you! I never would have done such a stupid thing if I knew how you felt about me! Please, believe me!" she yelled as tears began to run down her face. The others were watching from a distance in confusion.

"Man, what is going on over there? Bulma is yelling, but I can't understand her. This doesn't seem to be like their normal fights." Krillen said, scratching is head.

"Why don't you enlighten us Yamcha?" Piccolo asked with a scowl. The truth is, Piccolo could basically get a read on what was happening from the lookout tower and from Dende. Using context clues, the namekian put two and two together. He can easily hear Bulma's words of apology. It was just a matter of common sense at this point.

Yamcha looked at Piccolo in surprise, then looked over to Trunks, who was watching his parents like a hawk. Yamcha scowled and looked down. "I'll tell you later. Now's not the time." he said. He then turned and walked back to the spaceship.

Bulma continued to plead towards Vegeta, but still, the prince remained silent. "Vegeta, all I ask is for your forgiveness! I just want things to go back to the way they were before. I want my dream to come true. We can work things out! I promise! Please- I need you. Trunks need you. We need you. Vegeta, I -I love you. I -I"

"Are you finished?" Vegeta said in a dark tone. He swiftly got up and started walking back towards the group. "Are you two ready? I have waited long enough! Get me off this damn planet for once and for all already!" Vegeta yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Ah, seems as though you have decided to go after all prince?" Supreme Kai stated. "However, you have forgotten that we have granted you all a day."

"Vegeta wait! What do you mean? You're leaving?" Bulma said as she reached out and grabbed Vegeta by the shoulder. He came to an immediate stop. 'Uh oh.' Goku thought, getting ready to jump in. Piccolo and Gohan noticed as well and joined Goku's stance. Vegeta turned super saiyan, but never looked back.

"Get ready guys." Gohan quietly said.

"Don't you DARE touch me, wench! A traitor such as yourself should be annihilated!" Vegeta stated.

Bulma jerked back but did not give in. She knew Vegeta, or at least she thought she did. She knew he was not the person he made himself out to be. He would never hurt her. Would he?

Meanwhile, Trunks had seen the whole action take place. The kid has seen his parents quarrel before, but nothing like this. His father had never turned super saiyan on anybody before, except when they were training. 'Dad's not playing around. Is he going to hurt mom?' the young half-saiyan thought nervously.

"Sorry bud, but I can't do that. You know me, I won't go down without a fight, just like you! Remember? It's kinda what brought us together." Bulma responded.

Vegeta's ki quickly rose. Everyone looked on in shock. They couldn't believe how strong he had become after all these years. "This won't work on me again woman." he said, now standing nose to nose with her. "You tricked me before and I won't fall for it again. You acted as if you cared about me becoming stronger than Kakarot. You said you 'believed' in me, and that I could become a super saiyan and beat that clown. As if you really did care about what was important to me! About my dreams! I believed you. But I was duped. Now you have humiliated me worse than the clown has. And with a weakling at that! You're despicable!" the prince yelled. Bulma tried to speak again but Vegeta cut her off. "You know what would happen if a traitorous wench as yourself performed the action that you committed within the royal family?" he asked silently. He then leaned closer with a devilish smirk and whispered, " they would be slowly burned alive". She slowly let go and he continued to walk forward. The prince parted the group like the Red Sea as he walked towards the Supreme Kai. "I have decided to go. Anywhere is better than this trash heap."

Bulma dropped to her knees. She held a blank expression the entire time and didn't even realize everybody's surrounding comfort.Goku looked down to his friend and then back up to Vegeta. This wasn't how he had planned his arrival. He was hoping everyone would be happy to see him, and in Vegeta's case, happy to fight him. Neither seem to be the case of right now.

"Damn it! He can't just talk to you like that. I don't care what happened." Yamcha said aloud. He began to walk forward before Piccolo reached a hand out and grabbed the former bandit's shoulder. "Hey, what's the big deal?"

"You know you're a fool if you try something. First off, he would destroy you without a moments notice. Secondly, this all happened because of your stupid, childish, human behavior. One of which, I will never understand." Piccolo explained. The scar-faced warrior gritted his teeth but then abided by Piccolo's words. Everyone began to mumble and question the scenario at hand, but they gained nothing from Bulma. The scientist continued to show little expression, that is until, a young boy with lavender hair spoke up.

"Mommy? Did you do something to dad?" Trunks said innocently, but with concern.

Bulma looked over to her son in tears. She couldn't believe it. This entire time, she had forgot that he was up here as well. He saw the entire thing. He felt it. He felt like something really bad happened. She got up and nearly tackled the young boy. She embraced him as tightly as she could. Trunks stood strong and did not give in to her emotions. He wanted answers and her balling was not going to distract him from the truth. "Trunks! Sweetie, I'm so sorry I've ignored you all this time. I bet you must be hungry. Let's go home okay?"

"Mom. What happened?" the young boy asked.

"Uh, well, you see sweetheart. It's a long story. How bout I tell you later, alright?"

"No. Mom, you have to tell me now. I'm not going to fall for this. I'm old enough to understand."

"But Trunks."

"The boy has the right to know. If you don't tell him, then I will! He may contain half of your traitorous blood, but he unfortunately, also contains half of my LOYAL blood." Vegeta yelled allowed.

Bulma was put into one of the toughest decisions of her life. How could she tell her son about this, "incident", and in front of everybody? Her day just kept on getting worse. She knew Vegeta wouldn't let up either.

"Trunks, your father and I just had a misunderstanding is all. I made a mistake, but I promise we will make everything-"

"Lies! That is all you must be good at woman! Are all earthling females like you as well? Listen boy-"

"Shut up Vegeta! Just stop -"

"ENOUGH! You do not speak to me with such insolence wench! BOY! The woman chose to partake in a ritual with the weakling. She has chosen that fool over me. So I give you a choice. Will you decide to be a traitor as well and stay with her? Or will you stay loyal and go with me?" The prince proposed.

Trunks was stunned, to say the least. Silence crept in and set the tone for the following moments. Bulma was enraged and infuriated that Vegeta would put Trunks through such a decision. No child should ever be put in a situation like that. "Vegeta you JERK! You can't do that to him! H-he's just a boy." she trailed off, as tears ran heavily down her cheeks.

Trunks gave both parents a look before smiling at Bulma. "Mom. It's going to be okay. I'm going to go with dad and watch him in the tournament, and maybe I can fight too!"

"T-Trunks. N-no, you just can't." Bulma pleaded shakily.

The lavender-haired boy squeezed his mother tightly, but not enough to hurt her. He smiled again. "It's not nice to pick Yamcha over dad, mom. I thought we were a family. But don't worry, I'm going to try and make dad change his mind. He gets angry a lot, but he always comes around. So don't worry, because everything will be alright!" Before the scientist could get a word out, Trunks left her side and swiftly ran over to his father. 'Trunks.'

"Well, with all that out of the way, I think it's time to go finish paperwork and get permission from Yemma before we go celebrating everything too soon. Goku, you can visit your family when we are done. This shouldn't take too long, well, depending on what kind of mood the big guy is in. See you in a little while." Baba informed.

"Right! Bye guys! I'll see you real soon! And Bulma, everything will be okay. I promise." Goku stated. And with a wave, the two were gone in an instant, provided by Goku's handy technique.

'It has to, right?' she thought.

Supreme Kai announced to the group to report back within 24 hours of the current time on top of the look out tower. Soon then, most of everyone went their separate ways. Vegeta was the first to fly off, leaving Trunks behind with his mother. The boy briefly explained to her about the tournament that would take place in another world. Bulma felt that if he was going, then she would make sure he had the necessary goods packed into capsule form for him. Gohan left with the biggest smile on his face that he had ever wore. 'Mom will be so happy to see dad! She might even faint! I'll need to set her down first.' Gohan laughed to himself. 'Oh! And also, Goten will finally get to meet him! He'll love him, I just know he will.'

With a lot of shouting and things getting thrown, King Yemma finally decided to grant Goku an extended three months, but only three months. Not a minute more. King Yemma appreciated what Goku had done for the universe as a whole, but he didn't want to let other souls see him giving special permission to chosen people. As a judge of heaven and hell, it wasn't in his personality to do so. However, Goku was not an ordinary soul, and had done much more good for the universe than anyone ever had done previously.

As expected, Chichi had a hard time believing in what she heard. It was even harder to believe seeing it in front of her. Goku had later arrived and stood before his family with the warmest smile known in existence. After all the things that the widow wanted to be angry for, she just couldn't focus it upon him. She ran into his arms like old times and embraced him like never before. She kissed him on the cheek, since she knew he didn't like kissing, and had never done so before hand. Gohan looked on in joy and Goten looked on in confusion. He had never seen this man before in his entire life. The look-alike older version of him just shows up out of the blue and calls him his dad. Goten didn't know how to act at first, but emotions got the better of the child and he ran up to Goku and joined his mother's embrace.

The Son family talked for several hours, discussing the events that transpired over all these years on Earth and in Otherworld. Soon came dinner and Gohan decided to bring up the tournament. He didn't have a good feeling about it, and he wanted to just use these three months to spend time with his father in peace and not fighting for once. However, he knew that was one of Goku's main reason's for wanting to return. Plus, he knew Supreme Kai wanted him to join as well.

'Here goes nothing.' Gohan thought as everyone was digging in to their food. "So hey mom, there was some interesting news that came up today."

"Oh yeah? And what would that be dear?" she asked after swallowing her food.

"Well, you see, this guy, who is VERY important, wanted me and dad to join a fighting tournament."

"Really? I swear, you saiyans. All you think about is fighting. At least I thought you had cooled down some over these years Gohan. Well, at least I still have faith in Goten, but even he has his delinquent ways. So, when and where is this tournament going to be held?" she asked.

"Y-you mean you're not upset?" Gohan asked.

"Well, normally I would be, but I'm not sure if we'll ever get a chance to be together like this again. And I mean, it's only for one day right? How bad can that be?" she added.

"I heard it's going to be a few months away on a far away, distant planet. Mr. Kai said that we have to leave tomorrow to go train there and get familiar with the people and the planet. I'm not sure why though." Goku informed all while shoving an enormous amount of food into his mouth.

"Now I'm upset." Chichi calmly stated, just before slamming her plate down and breaking it. "I knew it! There's always a catch. You didn't come back for us, you only came back to fight, didn't you!"

"Wait, mom! Don't!" Gohan yelled, before Goku chimed back in.

"Wait, Chichi! It's not what you think haha. You see, I was thinking, maybe we all can go and hang out. It would be like a vacation, but this time to a distant world. You've never experienced that before. King Kai told me a little about it. It's a beautiful planet, kinda similar to ours, but not entirely. And it's no more dangerous than Earth. I think the tournament is only going to last a few days at the most!" Goku explained while holding his hands up in defense.

"Ah! Great idea dad!" Gohan shouted.

"Cool! I want to go! I wanna see dad fight! Gohan said he's the strongest in the universe! Well, Trunks doesn't think so, but I bet he is!" Goten said.

Chichi wanted to go into strict mode, but she decided that this may be her only chance to see the family together. She smiled warmly and simply nodded. "You know what? Why not? I've needed a good long vacation for a while now. I think it would benefit us all actually. So it's a yes for me." All three males almost jumped through the roof with their excitement. It was happening, everyone was tagging along, and for once, it seemed to be a peaceful trip.

Meanwhile, at Capsule Corp., Bulma was talking to Trunks just before his bedtime.

"Are you sure about this Trunks? You don't have to go. Your dad and I will be alright. We always have been haven't we? He just needs a good fight with Goku to get all of his frustration out is all." the scientist explained.

"Mom. I don't know what you did, but whatever it was, it has messed dad up pretty bad. I may be a kid, and not understand it right now, but I do know that something broke inside of dad. I saw him today mom-" Trunks trailed off, with watery eyes. He turned his head away from Bulma in hurt. He quickly rubbed his eyes as to not show his weakness in front of her. His father would not be proud. Bulma was left speechless and was about to cry herself. She leaned in and was about to embrace her son just before he stopped her. "Mom, dad almost destroyed the planet today. And he was enjoying the idea of doing it too. I've never seen so much insanity, so much... EVIL within someone before. Not even in my video games or in a scary movie before. I think- I think dad doesn't ever want to come back mom."

"Oh honey-" Bulma moped. Tears were just streaming down her cheeks at a rapid pace. She knew some type of battle ensued thanks to Yamcha's sensing abilities. However, she had thought it was just a skirmish. She knew Vegeta was mad, but she never thought the man would turn back into his former self. 'Did I really hurt you that bad Vegeta?' she thought. Of course she knew it was bad, but honestly, with how he went about things, she imagined him to shrug such an instance off anyway. He always did anyway, and she was hoping this would eventually result in the same way. The beautiful scientist felt that Vegeta didn't even care for her in that way, and that they only had a one time encounter. This would end up creating her one and only ball of sunshine. She thought she knew everything about that man. But she was wrong. Would have been almost dead wrong at that. Vegeta was too shy to get too close to her. To make her his. But he tried. It was just in the instance of the wrong time. She didn't want to believe it, but her parents confirmed his true intentions.

"Mom. MOM!" Trunks yelled, snapping her out of deep thought. "It's okay. I promise to bring dad back. That is why I'm going, and maybe to fight a little too." he said with a slight smirk that resembled his father's. Bulma smiled sadly. " I think I might be the only one who he will listen to! I mean, he kind of stopped in his attack when he saw me. Actually, if it weren't for that little weird guy we saw today, Gohan's attack would have really hurt dad. Well, not too bad, because dad is the strongest in the universe, but still, it was scary."

Bulma smiled brightly. "You know, you're an amazing kid. Listen, I'm sorry for everything we've, well, what I've put you through. No kid should ever have to witness these things. I'll tell you something Trunks. The truth is, Mommy did make a mistake. A mistake that many people would consider unforgivable, and well, your father let me know that goes for saiyans as well. But I want to make this happen. For all of us. If you can get him back, then I think I can do the rest from there. Also, if you're successful, I will make that new virtual game system that you always wanted, but better. But you have to promise me that you'll both come back in one piece, okay?" she said with a wink. He smiled widely and hugged her tight. "Promise!" he yelled. Soon after, Trunks was in bed, fast asleep.

Bulma turned the corner and walked down a lonely white hallway to go pack up everything for Trunk's departure. She was feeling ecstatic just before leaving Trunk's room, however, she could not get the negative thoughts out of her head. "I have a bad feeling about this." she whispered to herself as she shakily turned on the lights to her lab.

Back on top of the lookout tower stood two divine beings. Piccolo was off in the distance meditating, all while trying to keep a close eye out for the two newest guests. Popo and Dende were resting inside. Supreme Kai glanced back at Piccolo and smirked. 'It seems as though our friend is a little suspicious, isn't he?' Supreme Kai asked Kibito telepathically.

'Hm yes indeed. He is a troublesome one for sure.' Kibito replied in the same sense.

'Never mind him. We must focus upon how we can locate this vile monster and rid him of this universe. I believe Babidi will use this tournament for recruitment, but he must have already figured out that there is really no power strong enough to awaken Buu. If my research and reasoning methods are to be correct that is. I feel as though this is our best option in luring him out and helping us find Buu without any major accidents happening. He is probably keeping him held somewhere secret. By bringing these warriors along with us, it will not only lead us to him, but it will also help in defeating anyone he brought alongside. If he is anything like his father, he surely came prepared. And he knows that we will be on him. We just can't let any catastrophic event take place, because if so, Buu might be released, and then there is no hope for this universe as we know it.' Supreme Kai informed.

'Sir, do you think all will go well?' Kibito asked.

'I believe so. These guys have defeated strong foes before, such as Frieza. And we know about Gohan's power. That will be enough to lure him out and into the open. We will just have to be patient. This will allow us to get familiar with the planet, come up with tactical strategies, and train with the natives. This planet is made up of a variety of human-like beings. A lot of them seem to be as normal as the ones are here. However, there is a certain percentage that wield magic. From what I gathered, a lot of these mages congregate and work together within guilds. Earning rewards and fighting monsters. I suggest we befriend a group and join a guild while we are there. That is one of the main reasons we are leaving so soon. After all, it is a requirement for entering the tournament.' Supreme Kai insisted with a wink to his taller companion. 'Buu has been confined for all this time, a few more months won't hurt anything. Hopefully.'

The next day arrived sooner than anyone could have anticipated. Once again, the old group would soon be together again and sent into another crazy adventure, far far away from home. One by one, each fighter showed up. Vegeta being the first, of course. As soon as everyone was accounted for, the Supreme Kai walked in front and smiled to the group.

"As you all know, we are about to embark on an adventure that many of you have never experienced before. Although the tournament does not start for a few months Earth time, we encourage everyone to take in the quality benefits of this new planet. It is similar, but also very different to this world. The atmosphere is similar, as is the weather. The beings are quite similar to humans as well, although they seem to have different features here and there. Now, I ask you all, have you prepared for everything that there is to prepare for?" the small Kai asked. Most nodded and shouted yes in unison. Taking that as the answer he was looking for, the Supreme Kai continued. "Good. Now, for all those who wish to partake in the tournament, please come forward." Vegeta was the first to join the two kais. Bulma and Trunks stood by and watched him. Trunks was next, but not before hugging his mother goodbye. "Be careful Trunks. I love you. And remember our deal okay?" she said as she leaned in with a kiss to the boy's cheek. Quickly rubbing the lipstick off his cheek, he replied, "geeze mom, not in front of everyone!" He then smiled and nodded. "You can count on me. Bye mom." he said with another hug. He quickly dashed over to Vegeta, who then turned his back to the lavender-haired child. Bulma wanted to go, but she felt that this was the best option.

"Hey, is it okay if I bring the family? This will be the only time I get to see them after all." Goku asked.

"Of course. Do as you wish." Supreme Kai answered.

"Um, I'm going too. 18 didn't want to go, so she is staying with the kid at home." Krillen said, finally speaking up from behind the crowd. " I wanted to spend time with my best friend. I don't know when I'll get to see you again man."

"Absolutely buddy! It will be like old times again! You and me in the ring! Ha ha! And wait a sec. Who is 18? And what do you mean by 'kid'?" the saiyan asked.

"Heh. Yeah, a lot has happened since you died. I'll have to tell you when we get there." Krillen said. Goku just nodded.

Piccolo was the last to join the group. "Alright! I'm glad you're going too!" Goku shouted. "Hmph! You think I would let this opportunity slide? I still plan on beating you one on one. I've gotten stronger over the years, so don't underestimate me." the namekian stated, while eyeing the Supreme Kai. 'Well, that's just one reason I'm going anyway.'

The Supreme Kai chuckled and asked, "Alright, I believe we have everyone, yes?"

The group consisted of the following:

Goku

Gohan

Goten

Chichi

Vegeta

Trunks

Piccolo

Krillen

Everyone nodded and the small kai smirked. "Great. We are all set to go then. When we arrive, I will explain where we go from there. We will talk about who enters the tournament and everything else that is needed for this stay later on. Now, if there are no questions, everyone hold onto someone one else. I am going to take us there by instant transmission. One person will need to latch onto Kibito." Everyone held on to some part of another, except for Vegeta. Trunks just grabbed his calf. Goku reached his hand out and placed it on Kibito's shoulder. "Okie dokie. I think we're all set!" the tall saiyan exclaimed. Kibito replicated the same action as Goku did, but to the Supreme Kai instead. "We'll be back Bulma. Don't worry!" Goku stated with a wink, indicating Vegeta to be included. She smiled sadly and nodded.

"Hold on tight everyone." the small Kai ordered. Within a flash, the group of people disappeared.

'Trunks. Be careful.' Bulma stated within.

Meanwhile in Otherworld

King Kai was chatting with East Kai when he felt Goku and the others leave.

"Everything alright King Kai?" East Kai asked.

"Yeah, I've just been monitoring my idiot pupil who is going to a random tournament on the other side of the galaxy. I swear, he will be the death- nevermind."

"Let me guess, Goku."

"You guessed it. But I can't figure out why Supreme Kai has asked them to go. It's a remote and peaceful planet, just like Earth. If he wanted to see a tournament, he could have just waited and watched the one that was about to happen here."King Kai stated.

"Supreme Kai huh? That isn't like him at all. I don't know, seems fishy to me."

"Yeah I know." King Kai's antenna began to twitch out of no where. 'Be careful Goku.' he said to himself.

The group soon appeared on the Earth-like planet at just the right time. Most everyone looked up at a beautiful sunset that was hanging on for dear life over a mystified waterfall. The waters held a pink sparkle that lay over a variety of blues and greens. The sky held an abundant of brilliant and pastel colors that collided with each other violently, creating an ambiance like they had never witnessed before. Strange, but innocent, looking creatures flooded the surrounding area with an abundance of joy for life. The atmosphere was nice and crisp and made everyone feel more at home. This was truly a blissful place.

"Wow, it's beautiful mom!" Goten expressed aloud.

"Welcome everyone. This is Earth Land." the Supreme Kai announced with a smile.

Meanwhile

In a dark green forest, a silhouette crept through. With each silent footstep, the land beneath him wept. All that lay beyond, would be soon laid to rest. The dark surrounding greens turned to brown and black. The dark figure reached a small pond, filled with fish and other aquatic animals. He bent down and dipped his hands into the water to wash his face off. He then looked down into the waters and sighed. All the life had died and the water became a grayish blue. The young man looked back down and noticed his image and stared at it for a while. His jet black hair fell down and covered most of his features. His eyes were empty and showed no signs of life. Just black voids. He wore a black cloak with a white cloth that is partially wrapped around it. "There is an unknown presence on this planet. A monster." He then looked up into the almost night sky. "It is not of my hands either. Is it time to be resurrected? Is this the reason you are weeping more than usual?" He asked aloud to the planet, as he placed his gentle hand upon a hollow and weathered tree. "This is the end of everything."
