Chapter 6 – Harry's Birthday
It was the morning of Harry's birthday. Their guests were due to arrive today, and Ginny wanted to get as much time with her boyfriend before that as possible. And since it was his birthday, Ginny planned on waking him up in a very pleasant manner.
Harry Potter was having a very pleasant and erotic dream. He was laying on his bed as his girlfriend knelt between his legs, teasing him with her tongue and sucking him deep into her mouth. He groaned and grabbed her hair tightly as he came with a blinding flash. As he awoke, he realised his dream had been somewhat real as he saw Ginny using her tongue to clean his dick. "Happy birthday, birthday boy." Ginny said in a sultry tone when she saw him looking at her. He reached for her and kissing her neck he replied "the best so far."
All too soon, the young house elf Reddy came in telling them they had to get ready for the Weasley's arrival at 11.
"Oh my dears." Mrs Weasley caught them up in a bone crushing hug the moment she saw them. "You must have been so lonely in this big place by yourselves." "We weren't by ourselves." Ginny replied brightly. Mrs Weasley looked at her in confusion. "Who else was there?" "That would be us." James interjected. Mrs Weasley looked wildly around, until her eyes latched onto James's portrait. "We are so pleased to have you all and to get to know you." Lily said. "Especially you old friend." Said James, spotting Remus, who had come with the Weasley's. "God you've got old." "He's distinguished." Dora replied. Remus was looking at his friends' portraits with tears in his eyes. "James." He finally said faintly. "Perhaps we'll give you some time to catch up." Ginny said tactfully, and led her family and Teddy away.
"I can't tell you how sorry I am." Remus said. "All is forgiven Remus." Lily said firmly. "Harry told us all the things that happened. There was little you could have done." Remus ran his fingers through his hair in agitation. "I should have looked for Harry and checked up on him and I definitely should have believed in Sirius." James frowned. "They were dark times when you could trust no one. And we know Dumbledore hid Harry." "Now tell us about this lovely lady." Lily said, gesturing to Dora who had stayed behind to support her husband. Remus smiled. "This is Nym-" Dora let out a pointed cough, "Dora Tonks, well Lupin now." He looked at his wife with fondness. Lily clapped her hands together. "I'm so happy for you Remus. You deserve to be loved." Dora smiled. "It was a challenge, but eventually I got through to his thick skull and we've got a young son named Teddy." Lily's smile seemed to grow wider.
Meanwhile Ginny and Harry were giving the family a tour of the house. "There's even a quidditch pitch." Ginny said, pointing to three hoops in the distance. "We's is ready to show your family to their rooms now." Said the oldest elf, Petal, appearing at Harry's elbow. "Thanks Petal." Said Harry. "Over to you then." The elf blushed as all eyes turned to her. Hermione's lips thinned, but Ron elbowed her to keep her quiet. Leading them up several staircases Petal said "we's have put Mr and Mrs Weasley senior in here and the mischief twins next door. Then she continued to assign rooms, giving Ron and Hermione a suite similar to Harry and Ginny's. "Where's Ginny sleeping?" Bill demanded. "Near Miss Granger." Said Petal without missing a beat. Then she fixed him with a stern stare. "And each room can only be opened by its occupant. In fact, once everyone is here, the only door you will be able to see and find is yours, unless you are invited in." This was a nifty addition to the house Ginny had come up while playing around with the different room settings. Petal continued "If you encounter any problems, yell and one of us will most hear." Ron frowned. "What if we want to find someone's room?" The elf replied, "just think of who you want to find, it can be one person or several and a room will appear that each bedroom will connect with. Then just knock. You can also think of your room from another room and they will connect." "Cool." Exclaimed the twins. "But I will be checking on you, so don't think you can get up to any mischief." Mrs Weasley warned. "As it is, I'm not happy with you two for leaving without any adult supervision." Harry looked apologetic. "I'm sorry Mrs Weasley, but my parents really wanted to spend time with me and Ginny and I couldn't tell you that without ruining the surprise for today." Mrs Weasley softened. "Harry, I understand. But you, young lady should have sought my permission." She said turning on Ginny. "Sorry Mum." Ginny said, hanging her lead like she was apologetic. "But perhaps let's not do this on Harry's birthday." "Oh Harry dear I'm so sorry." Mrs Weasley said at once. "Perhaps if we give Harrykins his presents, he'll forgive us." Fred said with a wicked grin. "Good idea. Ginny said firmly. "Let's go to the informal parlour."
"Did I hear the word presents?" James bellowed as they entered the room. Lily smacked the back of his head. "Would you mind if we go first?" She asked the Weasley family. "We got Petal to arrange a gift from us." Harry looked at his parents in amazement. Petal placed a red and gold box in front of Harry. "Open the gold one first." Lily instructed. Harry opened it to find what looked like a blank photo album. "This is a memory book, so you can place any memories you want to forever treasure and share in it. In the other box is James and I's memory book, so you can share in some of our memories." Harry opened the second box and stared and clutching the book tightly he thanked his parents. "Us next." Said George and thrust a huge box of the latest WWW products at Harry. "I'm pretty sure we don't get a box that big." Charlie said in an undertone to Bill. Bill and Fleur had got Harry a wristband charmed to detect animagi, Charlie had got him dragon hide boots, Mr and Mrs Weasley had brought him new robes for starting work, Ron had brought him new Quidditch gear to replace some of his very worn gear, Hermione had brought him a book to help him choose a career and Ginny had brought him a wallet that had a charm like Hermione's beaded bag. Percy had shyly given him a pocket sized sneakoscope, just in case he needed it and the Lupins' had in a likeminded fashion brought him a book on wards. Dora had also thrown in her old Auror manual, for if Harry was still interested in joining the Aurors.
They then all sat down to a birthday lunch before the rest of Harry and Ginny's guests arrived. At 5 o'clock, the rest of the guests flooded in. After everyone had been shown around, they sat down for a birthday dinner that rivalled one of Mrs Weasley's. James and Lily's portrait become monopolised by the older crowd, while the younger crowd caught Harry up on the latest gossip; from Angelina Johnson's promotion to starting chaser, to Katie Bell dating Oliver Wood again, to Neville Longbottom's travel plans to see rare plants. They ended the dinner with the biggest birthday cake Harry had ever seen, in the shape of a quidditch pitch, with hoops made from liquorice wands and miniature marzipan Gryffindor and Hufflepuff players playing a game of quidditch on top.
After directing those who were staying the night to their rooms, Harry and Ginny finally crawled into bed in the early hours of the morning. As he snuggled under the covers, Harry said "I love birthdays, but next year I think I'll have a quiet one." Ginny lightly snored in response.
