"I'm telling you the truth." He held his hand against his chest. "Honest I am."
"Yeah right." His friend rolled her eyes. "You are such a girl."
His eyes widen. "Am not!"
"Sure you are. You gossip even better than any girl that I know." She leaned back on the bed.
"Hey all because you don't like to gossip and be girly that doesn't mean that ..." He paused. "Okay so I'm like a girl." He shrugged his shoulder. "No crime in that." He smirked.
"Never said it was." She sighed as she rested her head on her pillow. "Okay so what else is the core four up to now? What new murder mystery is hunting them?"
"You know that the trial is still going strong right." He sighed. "But what I have to tell you has nothing to do with that. Matter of fact what I have to tell you has nothing to deal with the core four." He shook his head. "Although there really isn't much to this town that doesn't involve the core four." He stood to his feet. "I'm hungry. How about you?"
"Sure I can eat." She stood to her feet also. She knew her friend wasn't going to tell her what he wanted too. She fully knew that she messed up with her thoughtless joke. She watched silently as he walked from his bedroom.
