Finally a new chapter in one of my stories! I apologize for all of the waits but I'm trying between; school, work, and all of the other stories by all of the other authors that I love on this site so much. I'll be honest I read far more of these then I write but I can't help it they'll all so good. Anyway back on track and on with the story!

The only thing I own in this story is Alan. (And I don't think I own him per say it's more like he does what he wants and just checks in with me on occasion.)

Last time

"Now was your petty jealously the only thing you wanted to discuss with me or would you like to talk about the danger room session?" seeing the look of shock on Jeans face she continues, "Logan's not the only one around here who can follow a scent. And you and Professor Scott should really stop trying to catch us doing anything, you do both have your own personal lives you could be dealing with. Maybe then you'll both be more relaxed." Kagome smiles and starts walking back down the hallway, "Thanks for the talk, I'll see you in class Professor."

This time

Still smiling Kagome comes back in the kitchen, Rogue takes one look at her, "What did you do?"

"I'll tell you when we go shopping."

Shaking her head Rouge starts putting noodles into a bowl, "Fine, but I'm going to hold you to that."

The rest of lunch and afternoon classes go by relatively quickly finally they all meet in the garage to leave for the mall.

Logan shakes his heads as the kids try to figure out what car to take, "Kid." He gets Kagome's attention and tilts his head in a come here fashion.

She walks over, "Yes old man?"

He slides on his bike, "Get on."

"I thought we were riding with them?"

"You may have played your cards getting me to come but like hell if I'm riding with them."

She smiles as she slides on behind him, "You're probably right. Besides like hell if I'm missing any chance to be this close to you in public." With that she slides flesh against him as he smiles at her use of his language.

Kitty finally notices that Kagome wasn't by them, "Hey, I thought you were riding with us."

"Nope sorry, I got a better offer." Kagome makes the hand motions to hurry, "Come on or we may leave you."

"Wait, no, no we're coming, hold on."

Logan shakes his head, "Finally." He looks back at Kagome, "You should put the helmet on."

She just raises an eyebrow and counters, "So should you."

He just shrugs before starting the engine and following Bobby out as he drives the car. A mile and a half down the road Logan leans back, "Do you know where we're going?"

Kagome smiles, "Nope, just the mall, but I don't know where it is. You're just going to have to suffer through this. And speaking of suffering though, I ran into Professor Gray after I left you outside."

He growls, "And what did she have to say."

"She went on about how if she were my mother it would hurt her for me to not come home right after finding out about them. And also how upset she would be if I brought home such an older guy, even more so if she found out I was sleeping with that older guy." Logan growls, "So do you want to know what I said?"

He looks over his shoulder at her, "Only if it put her in her place."

Kagome smiles as she continues the story, "I told her she was right." He looks back with a glare, "No, really I did, I told her she was right that she's not my mother and her petty jealousy wasn't going to get her anywhere. Along with the fact that I know she's threatened by me, she did the danger room thing, and that she just needs to get… What's the word Kitty said it before it's about sex?"

He chuckles, "You told Jean that she needed to get laid?"

"Yes, that's the word. I didn't use that particular word, I just told her that she and Professor Summers need to focus on their own personal lives instead of ours."

Logan chuckles again and slides his hand back to rest on her thigh, "Kagome that is the second greatest thing I have heard all day."

She slides her hand over his while the other wraps around his waist, "Oh yeah, what was the first?"

Stopping at a red light and looking back at her, "When you said you loved me too."

Without thought she guides his face back to kiss him.

Kitty leans out of the window of the car in front of them, "Eeeeewwwww! That's so nasty. Get a room."

Kagome smiles breaking the kiss, "We'll make sure to use yours next time Kitty."

"You better not!" they all laugh as the light turns green, ten minutes later they pull into the mall parking lot.

They all get out/off as Rogue walks over, "Logan, what did you do to Bobby and Peter?"

Logan just smirks as Kagome blushes, "Just taught them that they need to wait between knocking and opening a door."

Kitty looks confused, "What did they walk in on?"

Rogue smirks at Kagome's blush, "Seriously, both of you have heightened hearing, neither one of you could stop and listen."

"We just woke up, we hadn't gotten that far…" she stops as all but Logan turn to look at her.

"But wait, you just met each other yesterday."

Rogue stops and thinks, "No, if you think about it, when Kagome first got here they said her mutation was instinct based, she and Logan were already a lot alike, even before they met each other so it does make sense. The way their bodies see it they're the only two of the same species they have ever met so they would naturally move faster than anyone else. Where we have plenty of options of different mates they essentially only have each other."

"Okay that makes sense," Kitty smiles, "But when did you become a biology major."

Rogue smiles, "I didn't but when Logan and I first got here I was curious so I looked up animal traits and characteristics. All in all it seems like a really good reason for why you go by Wolverine, your traits alone match up really well."

Logan looks down at Kagome, "You know what that means, you get to get to be called she devil."

Smiling she elbows him in the ribs, "Gee thanks."

"I like it," Kitty comes around her other side, "You should keep it then you get to be all bad ass and rip things apart with your nails."

"Whatever, come on." Bobby leads the group inside, "Where to first?"

"Victoria." both Kitty and Rogue say at the same time as Kagome buries her face in her hands.

Logan looks at her and smiles, "Let's do this."

"Oh no, you're not coming."

"Like hell, come on kid, they're leaving you." He smirks as Kagome just shakes her head.

Walking in Rogue and Kitty lead them to the PINK section, as a very enthusiastic man in black runs around the corner to greet them. "Hello my dears, how have you both been?" he glances at the group before stopping to double take on Kagome, "Oh, my dear little kitten you look so fantastic!" he looks back at Rogue and Kitty, "I see the two of you have been working on my kitten."

Kagome speaks up, "Actually, they really haven't but they are trying."

Freezing he turns slowly to look back at her, "You speak now. That's so exciting!"

Kitty shrugs, "It's not that exciting, now she voices her disapproval instead of just shaking her head."

"Well at least we can get your opinion on what you would like to wear now. So what do you want to see first?"

"You can help them first, I just want to look around for a minute."

"Okay, but do you remember your size or would you like me to remeasure you?"

She gets a light blush on her face, "Wouldn't it be right on the one I'm wearing now?"

He smiles, "If it's one of the ones we got you last time it will be, would you like me to check?"

Logan lets out a low growl causing Kagome to shake her head quickly, "No thank you I'll have Rogue check it for me."

The salesman nods as Kagome goes to stand by Rogue. Rogue smiles as she checks for her, "It's 34D." Kagome nods before stepping back.

After a few seconds of quite Kitty steps up to the salesman, "Hey Alan, what was that bra I was looking at last time?" with that Alan switches gears and starts leading Kitty and Rogue away explaining the newest bra she had been eyeing.

Kagome smiles as she turns to look at Logan, her smile fading when she sees him going through the panty display, "What are you doing?"

He looks up at her and raises an eyebrow, "I'm finding you new panties, what does it look like I'm doing?"

"Will you please let me pick out my own underwear?"

"Nope, you wanted me to come along so I'm going to put myself to work. Besides I've seen what kind you pick out for yourself."

She glares halfheartedly before rolling her eyes and going to look at bras, checking the sizes she picks one up before going to the sports bras. Looking them all over she picks up two with the front clasp and zipper before moving to the yoga shorts and pants. Hearing Logan walking up she turns to look at him, she giggles at seeing him holding 15 pairs of underwear and two more bras.

"Is all that really necessary?"

"Yep." He smiles as she shakes her head.

"You're ridiculous."

"Yep. That's why you love me."

"Oh is it, I thought we bonded over more than that but you may be right, I only love you for the underwear you pick out."

"Well it's not the only thing but it is a good reason to keep me around."

She just shakes her head, "So does that mean we're done in here?"

"Nope, I still have more to look at." He smiles at her before walking to a different section, she rolls her eyes again as she follows him.

Seeing him about to pick up a white nighty she stops him, "Oh no, don't even try for that one."

"Why not?"

"Well for starters," she turns the back of it to face him, "It says bride across the back and it will be at least a little while before either of us are ready for that."

"What makes you say that?"

"The fact that we both seem pretty new to the whole relationship thing anyway and we still aren't telling people about it." She gives him a small smile, "But just because now isn't the time doesn't mean it's not ever going to happen, it just means you'll have to keep that particular item in the back of your mind for later."

Logan smiles at that before leaning down to kiss her.

"You know I hope it doesn't take too long to get used to that but I get the feeling it may take a while." Kitty states as she, Rogue, and Alan come walking around the corner.

Alan smiles looking at them, "I don't think it will take too long, they look more happy than anything else, it's cute. Besides kitten deserves someone who can look out for her," he shrugs, "that and older men are hot. Did you want a bag to shop with so you don't have to hold all that?"

Kagome shakes her head "No, I'm pretty sure we're done here."

Logan looks at her with a frown, "I'm not done yet."

She smiles taking his hand and leading him to the registers, "We can always come back later, Logan, but there are other stores they want to go to." he snarls his nose but lets her lead him back to pay.

A few minutes later they leave the store with everything in hand. Two hours later they're all at a table in the food court and Kagome is explaining what happened between her and Jean.

"You know," Kitty starts out, "I didn't realize how snooty and bitchy she could be."

"You wouldn't, she never had a reason to show that side of her until now." Kagome reasons.

"Yeah you're right, it just sucks that you'll have to put up with it every day."

"You would be surprised at what all I can manage to ignore, besides it's not like she can do anything worse to me than what I've already been through." Logan growls low at that as she just nudges her shoulder against him with a smile. "So what store to next?"

The group shrugs as Rogue speaks up, "I think we're all done here."

Logan smiles and gets up, "Great, the smell of this place is driving me crazy. I need a beer."

Kagome smiles as she stands next to him, "You know, it's too bad we can't get one on the way home."

He looks at her thinking before he frowns, "Why couldn't you be just a few years older?"

"Because that would have made life easier for you." she laughs as he grumbles. "Isn't there beer at the house?"

"Yes, but I don't want the audience that the house comes with."

Rogue shrugs as they all start walking to the car, "That's a good point. I would tell you that we would cover for both of you so you could go somewhere but you know as well as I do that two not-so-happy people are waiting for you at the house. And they will likely blow everything out of proportion. Also if they're thinking the way I think they are you two should not be sleeping in the same room Jean may feel obligated to check on both of you in the middle of the night and it's not like a locked door will hold her and her powers out for long."

Kagome huffs as Logan growls, "She has a point and it's not like we can ask Professor Xavier to do anything."

"Actually, he may be able to do something." Kitty starts out turning to face Kagome, "You have nightmares. I haven't said anything about it to any of the other professors but I spoke with Professor X about it. I live in the room next to you and as much as you can't control it I hear you wake up screaming in the middle of the night. But last night I didn't hear any of that, there were no screams last night, it's only now that I know it's because you went to Logan. Did she have any trouble sleeping after she came to you?"

"No, I know she said she had a nightmare when she came in but she slept just fine."

Rogue smiles, "Kagome actually goes through blankets like you do Logan. You both actually are a lot alike."

"Yeah and no one should have to go through that."

"How did you sleep? Any of your usual dreams?"

"No, once I went back to sleep I was out."

"Then you both should talk to Professor Xavier about it when we get back and see what he says about it, maybe you two can sleep together after all."
