( To Skin an (Evil) Cat... )

The sun had only now just begun to set in the west, as Usagi and her friends once again found themselves assembled at Rei's home. Usually they would come here after school to do their home work together, but this evening was diffirent. As Setsuna had contacted all of them and asked that they meet both her and Hotaru at the shrine, as they had something inportant to tell them. The girls were curious as to what the senshi of time had to say, as recent events had all of them on edge and with Tin Nyanko still on the loose, they wondered just what Setsuna wanted to talk to them about.

But one thing which didn't go unnoticed by Usagi and her friends, was the absence of Morrison and McKenzie. As none of them saw the Air Force team or their black SUV for the day, making the girls wonder if what ever Setsuna had to tell them and to do with the American's absence.

"Usagi-chan!" Hotaru yelled happily, as she ran up and hugged the young woman. Just as the rest of the girls came up and greeted the youngest member of the Senshi.

"Good to see you too, Hotaru." Usagi said happily as she hugged the young girl back. Just as Setsuna came up and was greeted just as warmly by the girls.

"So Setsuna, you said that you had something important to tell us?" Makoto asked the senshi of time as she, along with everyone else, was curious as to why the Senshi of Time wanted to see them .

"Very much so." Setsuna began. "Last night, the General and his men were able to track down Tin Nyanko and apprehend her."

"What?" the younger senshi gasped in surprise, as they could not believe the General and his team were able to capture the rouge senshi without their help. "They must have been able to track her down in the same way they were able to locate us at the school." Ami commented.

"But why didn't they call us to help?" Minako asked curiously, as she and the rest of the girls were confused as to why their new "allies" would conduct such an operation and not have them along.

"They had their reasons." Setsuna replied cryptically, "But I believe through Tin Nyanko, we may be able to gain more information on Galaxia."

"Really?"

"Yes... Something happened to Nyanko the last time you faced her." Setsuna explained as she faced Usagi. "I think you may be able to help her and in turn, she would be willing to help us."

There was a moment of silence as Usagi and her friends allowed Setsuna's words to sink in. The memeory of her last encounter with the evil senshi was still fresh on her mind and if it were not for the combined actions of Sailor Star Fighter and Morrison, the outcome could have ended far differently. But Usagi also remembered that she was able to launch an attack with her scepter and strike her would be attacker before she was forced to flee. Maybe her attack had more of an effect than she once previously thought and if that were the case then maybe, just maybe she could help the fallen senshi. Maybe even save her.

"Very well then." Usagi replied. "So when do we leave? How do we even get on board their ship?"

"Leave that to me." Setsuna answered, as she suddenly changed into he alter ego and with a few motions of her garnet rod, she opened a portal which would lead the senshi team to one of General O'Neill's warships in orbit.

"There, are you ready?" the Time Goddess asked the princess, as she held the portal open.

Usagi and the rest of girls just nodded in reply, before they entered the opening with Pluto and Saturn behind them.

If there was one thing which could be said about the U.S.A.F. Daedalus, it was that it was a major upgrade from the much smaller Prometheus. Using technology gifted to Earth by the Asguard, the Daedalus was by far the fastest and most powerful warship to be built by the "Tau'ri" and already there were plans to build more of them. Today though, the Battlecruiser was now playing host to a one Sailor Tin Nyanko. Who herself was being held in one of the vessel's holding cells and under heavy guard.

Upon arrival, (and after explaining just how they got there to a very confused Daedalus security team) the Senshi met with General O'Niell on the battlecruiser's bridge. From there O'Neill lead the group towards Nyanko's holding cell, all the while informing the girls on what had happened the night before while attempting to capture the rouge senshi. For the most part the girls were surprised that the General and his team were able to capture Tin Nyanko so easily, but were still a bit crossed as to why the O'Neill did not ask fot their help. But, he did have a valid reason as to why...

"Because after what had happened at the school, I figured you would want a little down time." the General explained, before he added... "Besides, I am very certain its was a school night." Well, they couldn't really argue with that logic.

Soon the group came to a large, metal door which had several heavily armed guards in front of it. Apparently they were not going to take chances while Tin Nyanko was on board.

"She's been in here since last night." O'Niell finished, as the group came to a stop. "Sailor Pluto here said that you may be able to help with Nyanko's... um... condition."

"What?" a very confused Usagi asked the older man, just as Sailor Pluto came up beside her

"Morrison said that just before Nyanko fled the school, you were able to attack her on your own." The General began to explain. "But when my team confronted her last night, something was wrong with her."

"What do you mean?" the young blond asked fearfully, as she began to wonder if her attack may have done more harm than good for the Evil Senshi.

"I think it would be easier if you saw for your self." O'Niell replied, as he motioned for the security detail to move aside and opened the cell door. Inside the holding cell was what looked like a force field surronding it, but it was the individual inside which really caught their attention.

At first glance they immediately recognized her as Sailor Tin Nyanko, but something was off about her. She was huddled in the corner on the metalic floor, her head was buried into her legs as she hugged them in her arms. But the one thing which stuck out the most, was that her outfit was now black AND white.

"When we found her, she was litterally fighting with herself." O'Niell explained, "It was as if she was trying to convince herself not to hurt my team. Didn't stop her from putting one of them in the infirmary over night though."

"What happened to her?" Ami asked, as the entire group all wanted to know just what was going on with their would be adversary. But it was Sailor Pluto who spoke up and replied...

"I believe what ever control Galaxia had over Tin Nyanko, was weakened when you used your attack on her at the school. Nyanko's self, her true self may now be trying to retake control and defeat Galaxia's influence."

"Then maybe I could help her break free from Galaxia." Usagi replied, as her mind began to race with idea of helping the senshi. Usagi could still remember the look of fear Sailor Lead Crow had before she faded into nothingness. She was afraid in her final moments, full of regret and there was nothing the Moon Princess could do to save her. But now maybe there was a chance to save Tin Nyanko and free her from Galaxia. It may have been a long shot, but it was a chance she was willing to take.

Without warning, the young blond pulled out her brooch and yelled, " Moon Eternal... MAKE UP!" and in an fantastic display of light and color, Eternal Sailor Moon had appeared. Very much to the surprise of General O'Neill, who was not sure what he had just seen or if he should have even seen it.

"Let me in." Sailor Moon spoke with an neutral tone, as she gazed at the evil senshi inside. There was a bit of hesitation on the part of O'Neill, but he eventually gave the order for one of his men to deactivate the containment field surrounding the cell.

With everyone looking on, Sailor Moon entered the cell with both Saturn and Pluto following close behind. While the rest of the girls held on to their transformation wands just in case Nyanko tried to attack. But for the most part the captured senshi did not move or even aknowledged the other Senshi's presence, not even making an attempt to move from her position.

"T... Tin Nyanko?" Moon said softly, as she knelt down to speak with the woman before her. "Nyanko... I'm here to help you."

"No..." the senshi suddenly squeaked out with a soft sob, her head still buried into her legs as she hugged them. "You... can't help me. No one can."

"But I can." Moon replied. "Or at the very least, try."

"I've done things... horrible things." Nyanko shot back, as she lifted her head and glared at the moon princess. Her eyes now blood shot, as if she had been crying for hours. "She... She made me do those things... and I couldn't stop her. I... don't deserved to be saved."

"But you are fighting her now." Saturn suddenly spoke up. "On the roof top, Sailor Moon was able to partially heal you before you fled. Thanks to Moon, you are fighting her right now and with her help, you can win."

"Even then, I may still lose..." Nyanko replied, as she held up her arm to show her remaining gold bracelet. "This... this is what Galaxia uses to control us. What she used to control me... when... she came to my world, she destroyed everything and everyone. I... was the only one left on my world when Galaxia came to me."

The tears in Nyanko's eyes began to flow down her cheeks once again, as the senshi continued her story... "Her... her minions brought me to her and thew me at her feet. Galaxia told me that... that if I joined her, she would... bring my people back. That is what she does... she takes everything away from you. Breaks you down and when you have nothing left, you have no choice but to join her thinking she will restory everything you lost. But once... these go on you, you are her slave. These bracelets are the only thing keep you alive... they... it is keeping me alive."

"What...?" Moon gasped out, as she and everyone who could hear her were stunned by the alien senshi's words. "What do you mean?"

Nyanko winced as if she were in pain before she replied, "These bracelets... when you become one of Galaxia's minions, she still takes your Star Seed but these bracelets prevent you from dying. If you stepped out of line or fail her... in any way... she will remove them... and you die." she then buried he head back into her legs again. "There is... nothing you can do for me."

There was a long silence as Sailor Moon and her friends mulled over what Nyanko had said and it had a rather sobering effect on them all. Out of all the threats the Sailor Senshi had encountered in the past, Galaxia would be quite possibly thee most ruthless enemy they my ever encounter. Not only was she powerful, but she controlled her minions by manipulation and trickery. Forcing them to become apart of her army with restoring to them what they had lost, but they would become nothing more than helpless pawns in her unholy quest to destroy everything.

Nyanko was just another victim of Galaxia's madness and just like Lead Crow before her, the cat like senshi was now showing real remorse. Not only for what she had done, but what she had now become. Sailor Moon knew that she could not leave Nyanko the way she was, especially now that she was fighting Galaxia's influence after losing one of her bracelets.

Nyanko was still huddled in her position, trying to win the mental battle for her mind and quite possibly, her soul. It was a battle she had been fighting for so long ever since she became a minion of Galaxia. So lost she was in her mental battle, Nyanko did not realize that Moon was now standing over her with her scepter in hand and her eyes closed.

Suddenly it began to glow as the Moon princess brought it up to her face and held it there for a moment. All the while her friends and the Air Force security team looked on, none of whom knew just what this young woman was planning to do. Nor did they dare try to interfere, as they did not know what would happen. All they could do was look on as the glow of the septor became brighter and brighter, causing some of O'Neill's men to shield their eyes.

Then as if she were in a trance, Sailor Moon lowered her scepter onto Nyanko's head and no sooner had the object made contact with the feline senshi's head, a blinding light flooded the cell area. Nyanko herself could feel could feel an overwhelming sense of warmth and comfort fall over her body, it was a feeling she had never felt before. So lost in this feeling, she did not even notice that she had begun to levitate off the floor, nor did she notice that by this point both her eyes and those of Sailor Moon had begun to glow.

"What is she doing?" O'Neill asked Rei, still not sure of just what he was seeing.

For her part the young woman was just as confused as the General but replied, "If I had to guess... she's trying to save her." that was all the priestest said, before there was a blinding light which exploded out of the cell. Catching everyone off guard and by the time it faded away, Sailor Moon was now standing over an a new individual who layed before her. It was still Nyanko, but gone was her cat like Fuku.

She was now dressed in a simple sleeveless dress with was pale blue in color and flats on her feet. Her eyes were closed and her chest moved ever so gently up and down as she slept, a look of peace and tranquility on her face as she did. Moon for her part , just stood there for a few moments before she fell backwards. Fortunately Pluto was there to catch her before she hit the cold, metallic floor.

"Get a medical team here and have them take both of them to the infirmary!" General O'Neill ordered on of his men, before he rushed over to Moon to see if she was alright.

"She used a lot of her energy up." Saturn commented, "But why didn't she ask for my help?"

"She may not have wanted to risk hurting you." Pluto replied, just as Moon began to revert back into Usagi. "She just needs some rest, later we can ask her just what she did."

"Our docs will check her out and make sure she's alright." O'Neill stated, just as the medical teams placed Nyanko on a stretcher and began to move her out of the holding cell. "Maybe when Nyanko wakes up, she could help us."

"Maybe..." Rei replied, her mind still fresh from what Tin Nyanko had said to Moon about Galaxia and how she manipulated senshi to join her unholy cause. "Let's just hope what ever she has to say, could help us against Galaxia."

A/N: Like I said, a short chapter but I hope it is enough to hold you guys over. It looks as if Tinyanko has been saved by Sailor Moon, but just what did she do? Has Nyanko dodge the perverbial bullet or is this the calm before the storm?

Well obviously I know, but you will just have to wait until the next chapter to find out. Until next time...
