There were so many choices. The maid had brought about fifteen or so of different elaborate dress styles. Naoto saw one that she had recognized. It was the same as Kougyokus, but with different colors & patterns. Naoto thought that it would be nice to wear something similar to Kougyokus but, she preferred something more simple if she wanted to move easily. That's when this traditional dark red with black dress caught her eye. The dress itself was all black with two layers, while the second part to the dress that went around the stomach was red with gold outlines & a black thin silk belt that held everything together. It was the same style as Hakuei's. She couldn't wear it now since she was unable to move, so Kouha grabbed a transparent loose mini dark red undergarment dress for "play time" after the maid came back & left with the other dresses.

Two golden marble pillars had golden marble stairs that led towards a familiar blue character. The Golden Sacred Palace, yes, this was this place's name.

Since that conversation happened, let's go back to Naoto shall we? After they bathed, ate breakfast, & relaxed a bit in their bath robes, Naoto was in Kouhas room changing. He on the other hand, got changed into the traditional black & white funeral outfit. The reason why Naoto didn't change into the same outfit was because Kouha insisted that she didn't need to. They all walked in the palace & headed towards the big room where the diseased Emperor, Koutoku Ren laid, surrounded by the people who used to serve under him.
Naoto noticed how there were men who were covered in black cloaks, held golden staffs, & wore thorn'ed crowns over their white short veils that covered their face. They were Al-Tharmen. The other group wore the same white outfits used for the funeral, but they had black veils & a golden ring that held the veil in its place in order to cover their faces too. They were part of the Kou Empire. Seeing a difference amidst these two unknown groups, Naoto saw the black ruhk coming from Al-Tharmen.
Naoto- ... Kouha, I think I'll stay in the back.
Kouha- What? I want you to stay with me in the front.
Naoto- That's understandable, though I have to decline. This is a family event so I can't.

Naoto remained standing while crossing her arms, she also noticed a woman with black hair & two braids, wearing the same funeral outfit. Suddenly, her eyes shifted towards Naotos direction for a second. That woman was Gyokuen...
Naoto- *murmurs* Did she just look at me- ugh!

Then, when they began reading the will of Koutoku Ren, Gyokuen stared towards the whole crowd of people attending the funeral with a smile.

Once they announced that Gyokuen would be the new Empress, Hakuryuu stood & proclaimed that she be the new Empress of the Kou Empire.
Naoto- 'No no, stop thinking about it. Besides, *looks at Gyokuen* that woman is no good. There's black ruhk swarming around her. It's so much, apart from seeing Hakuryuu again & his few black ruhk in him... she's fully consumed by the black ruhk. I should be careful when I get a chance to be near her.'

When they made it to the outer halls, Naoto stopped & let Isham walk first so she could follow. He thought that it would be good to start up a conversation with Naoto after such a terribly long time of being apart.

Isham- So why did you come to the Kou Empire?
Naoto- I came here with Kouha because he invited me. Even if he didn't, then I'd follow him.
Isham- But wouldn't that make you seem desperate? Following him all the way to the Kou Empire. What if you run into trouble while pursuing him?
Naoto- If I encountered trouble then it wouldn't bother me. I'd only take care of it.
Isham- You're strong I take it?
Naoto- Who knows? There could be others out there who may even be stronger than me.
Isham- You have a point there. What about following him here?
Naoto- There's a distinction between being desperate & accompanying someone who you don't want anything to happen to them. & maybe that sounds a bit audacious as well, but it depends on how you or the other person feel about it. It's only desperate if you have barbaric feelings for the other & want them, though the other does not feel a single thing for you. Accompanying is different from following someone desperately. You accompany someone when they allow you to, meaning... *looks straight at Isham w/ serious eyes* you guys have no problems at all with each other. That, & you need the other's permission to let you follow or accompany them. I may have described it extensively, but hopefully you understood my statement.
Isham- A brilliant way to put it in.
Naoto- Thank you. I've been aware of this by seeing how bold women try to get my Fathers attention. But to no avail, he ignores their desires & pushes their feelings away nicely just so he wont hurt them.
Isham- He's a very kind & thoughtful man then.
Naoto- He is. He also draws the line when it's necessary.
Isham- That's good.
Deep inside, Isham was enraged since Sinbad wasn't the one he wanted to talk about. So he changed the subject as they walked out to the garden.
Isham- So besides being here for the third prince, is there another reason as to why you're here?
Naoto- *looks up at sky* Not really. 'Of course I can't tell him, inspite of his position here. I haven't even told Kouha of my awareness to the Kou Empire preparing to attack Magnoshutatt.'
Isham stopped walking when he stood on a small bridge that was on top of a pond. Naoto stood beside him & looked at her reflection in the water.
Isham- ...
Naoto- ...
Isham- ... I wonder, *looks at Naoto from the side of his eye* why is it that we look alike?
Naoto thought about it for a while before she gave an answer. Nothing came to her mind at all. Memories wiped "forever", not sure of her past which she saw in Magnoshutatt, Naoto knew things, yet she made people believe she didn't, until she revealed it to them which only petrified people when they met her. This matter on the other hand, was a situation that she didn't know how to respond to. She wasn't apprehensive about the question that she was asked, but confused because she doesn't have the proper right answers.
Naoto- In all honesty, I don't know what other explanation there could be as to why we look alike.
Isham- *looks at the pond* Not one?
Naoto- Not one.
Isham- *gazes up at the sky* ... It looks like it's about to rain.
Naoto looked up too & a droplet of rain fell on her nose.
Naoto- *twitches nose*
Isham- *looks at Naoto w/ a small smile* Would you like to go inside for some tea before it begins to pour?
Naoto- *smiles* I would love to.
Isham escorted Naoto to Judars & his' chamber. He asked her to sit down on the sofa in the living room. There wasn't much decoration to the room. It did have a few things here & there, just not a lot. When Isham came back from the kitchen that Judar had, but never used, he was holding a large platter with a black tea pot & cups. In each round tea cup was a white flower that was at its blooming peek.
Isham- This is a special tea that soothes the body. *pours hot water in Naotos tea cup* Here.
Naoto- Thank you.
She observed how the petals stretched out.
Naoto- Amazing!
Isham- Isn't it?
Naoto- *blows on the tea & drinks a bit* The scent & taste are lovely.
Isham- I always loved that about this tea. It never fails to remind me of someone important.
Isham sat beside Naoto while placing his tea in front of him.
Naoto- I wonder if they're done with the funeral.
Isham- I doubt it. It might take some time before they're done with things.
Naoto- I understand, but ... *places tea on table*
Isham- What is it?
Naoto- If you're the second high priest, then who's the first?
Isham- Ah, the first. He's not here right now.
Naoto- He isn't?
Isham- *nods* He's dealing with an important matter at the moment.
Naoto- Oh.
Isham- I live in this chamber with him. & I wasn't the second head priest until six & a half months ago.
Naoto- You look awfully young to be a priest, with a mature side.
Isham- That's what they keep telling me. I'm only sixteen, although the first is 20 years old, he acts like a child at times when need be.
Naoto- Reminds me of someone I know 'Father'. I'm also sixteen. It's quite surprising, for us to be the same age & look alike.
Isham- Almost as if we were twins?
Naoto- Almost as if we were twins. Except we're not.
Isham- ... I used to have a sister.
Naoto- *looks over to him with no expression*
Isham- She died young.
Naoto- I'm sorry to hear that... From what, may ask?
Isham- *stares at the ceiling* ... People used her, used her body, & power. She was a magician. A powerful one at that, so, she was used over & over.
Naoto- Over & over? *makes a sorrowed face* Why, did you choose to tell me this?
Isham- Because... *looks at Naoto with emotionless eyes* You look just like her.

Naoto stood up from what Isham said. The black ruhk appeared behind him from the words he had spoken. At that moment, Kouha came storming in. He was panting from looking everywhere for Naoto. Once he saw her, he was relieved. Then he saw Isham.
Kouha- Wha-...
Naoto- Kouha?
Isham- *stands up* Third Prince of the Kou Empire, Prince Kouha. *bows* It's a pleasure to meet you.
Kouha- ... Who're you?
Isham- Me? *straightens himself* I'm the second high priest. *cockily smiles* Isham.
Kouha- I never even heard about you from En.
Isham- Kouen's never told you about me? Hm~
Kouha- How dare you disrespect my Older Brother like that! Show some res-
Naoto walked towards Kouha & pulled him out, she looked back at Isham & said goodbye. When they got out of Judars & Ishams' chamber, Naoto stopped walking fast when they reached the outer hall connecting to the palace. She didn't look back at Kouha.
Kouha- Naoto?
Naoto- *trembles a little* How did you find me?
Kouha- *notices the tremble* Why're you trembling? Did that guy do something to you?
Naoto- He didn't.
Kouha- You sure? If he did then I can go teach him a lesson or two.
Naoto- You don't have to do that!
Kouha- ... Then why are you trembling?
Naoto- That's because... *gasps* Dammit!
Kouha- What is it?
Naoto- I haven't talked to my Father since yesterday or today.
Kouha- &?
Naoto- If I don't then who knows what he'll do!
Kouha- You did say he was overprotective.
Naoto- I know my way back to your chamber so I'll go on ahead. *runs off*
Kouha- Wai-
Isham- Let her go. I'm sure her Father wouldn't be too happy seeing you with her.
Kouha knew who it was behind him & was enraged with the given comment.
Kouha- *turns around w/ enraged face* What did you say?
Isham- As I have said. He won't be pleased seeing a Kou mongrel with his daughter.
Kouha- You're starting to get on my nerves!
Isham- Doesn't it annoy you? That she had to tell her Father she was using you all in favor of covering up the fact that you both are lovers?
Kouha- How do you know that!?
Isham- *appears behind Kouha & whispers in his ear* I know everything when it comes to Naoto.
Kouha- *eyes widen in shock* What? *turns around* ... He's gone. Who the hell was that guy?
Going back to Naoto, she was rushing her steps towards Kouhas chamber. Every attendant & soldier that passed by her bowed in her presence. Before reaching Kouhas chamber, Meihou Kan, Kouhas subordinate, passed by Naoto & was paralyzed from seeing her.
Meihou- Th-... That was... *turns around* It couldn't be!?
He decided to follow Naoto. When Naoto was about to open the door to the chamber, she turned around to find Meihou walking towards her.
Naoto- *stares at him for a while* Is there something you want?
Meihou- What are you doing going inside Lord Kouhas chamber?
Naoto- I'm his lover.
Meihou- You mean to say that you're his betrothed?
Naoto- He hasn't proposed yet, & we're still young to be married so I'd rather wait. Of course, he has the option of proposing whenever he wants, I'm not going to force him. May I ask who you are & why you were following me just now?
Meihou- I-I'm terribly sorry! *gets on knees & bows* I'm on of Lord Kouhas subordinate, Meihou Kan.
Naoto- Stand. I only asked who your were, bowing down to me isn't necessary.
Meihou- *raises head* But you're someone important to my Lord if he allowed you to go in his chamber.
Naoto- Even so, I'm the same as you, a person. *smiles*
Meihou- *stands up & smiles* I can see why my Lord fell in love with you. I did hear talk of you from the soldiers & other attendants, some say you're probably after a high position or money, & others say, more impolite things. But I can sense that you're kind & different from other women if my Lord gave you a key to his chamber... You're honest.
Naoto- Thank you for those kinds words. But I'm afraid I have to go now, it was nice talking to you. Hopefully we'll talk more.

Naoto went inside & Meihou walked away.
Meihou- 'Why is she here? The last time I saw her was in that village where Lo-... * stops & makes a surprised face* No... if Lord Kouha or her find out the truth then... Should I tell Lord Kouen about it? *starts walking again while holding chin* Considering it happened ten years ago, she could be another person who happens to look like that child. Naoto grabbed the eye of the ruhk & sat in the living room sofa.
Naoto- *hesitates* He's probably angry. *gulps* Here goes nothing. *activates it*
She waited for a while, & once an image of a familiar room appeared, she came to a sure conclusion of whose room it was.
Naoto- F-... Father?
Nobody replied... Until Naoto heard murmurs in the background which she could make out.
?1- Don't you dare get mad at her! She forgot for only a day. At least she's contacting us now.

Besides being mad, don't you think you should be thankful that I'm at least talking to you now? The present is everything in order to consider what we'll do with the past & future. Sinbad roughly placed both his hands on his desk, while making a serious face & getting closer to the eye of the ruhk.

Nope. Before Sinbad could finish saying something, Naoto ended their conversation as if it were nothing serious. But it was, she knew & regretted ending their talk in such a manner.

Kouha entered the room seeming quite odd. After that little discussion he had with Isham, he began thinking about how an unknown person to him knew about Naoto. About how Isham knew that she lied to Sinbad that she was "investigating" the Kou Empires' movements.
Naoto- *notices* Is something wrong?
Kouha- ... You can say that. That damn priest said something that got to me.
Naoto- ?
Kouha- He knows you lied to Sinbad about being here for research.
Naoto- What?
Kouha- Did you tell him?
Naoto- I didn't. I only told him I was here for you, *looks down* & then we talked about other things.
Kouha- Like?

Okay... so it took long. But there are reasons why. I made a chapter 7 for magi & finished it around September... I was going to edit it the next day... then, I opened my file & IT WASN'T THERE! *takes deep breath* So, this one is the same as chapter 7... just not as awesome as how the original was...
