A Mother's Worry

Aphrodite's POV

Ugh, if you ever have the chance not to be the marriage counselor of Zeus and Hera, take it. I actually wanted to see my daughter Lynia, and give her, her new bracelet my husband had made after I saw how well she had shot those arrows, must be Nyx's genes kicking in. But I couldn't because Zeus was about to fry upper east Manhattan with a lightning bolt because Hera wouldn't stop going off about how he never cared about her, about how he hardly ever looked at her anymore, oh and my personal favorite, how he had cheated on her and spawned Ms. Thalia Grace. Ugh would this woman learn to shut up.

Thankfully Apollo had some time off and took the bracelet for me.

"You never say you love me anymore Zeus, what happened to what we had? I love you so much, but you act as if I don't exist!" Screamed Hera as she sat on the couch, gold tears forming in her eyes, I had to admit, she had a good way of making Zeus feel guilty. How did I know? Obvious, it was written all over his face.

"Listen, darling I do care about you, but with Kronos rising and the war coming in only a few months, I'm obviously going to be a little preoccupied." He said trying to sooth her, poor fool, he just set himself up for something ugly, I could tell.

"The Titan war, oh yes that has to be all you think about, of course because it's your fault that prophecy may come true!" Hera screamed, getting up from the couch.

"How is it my fault, one, Thalia is a hunter now, she can't be the child in the prophecy, and two, it's Poseidon's son who is going to be the child in the prophecy, and if not him, Hades so Nico!" Zeus bellowed, I new exactly where this was heading, so I just sat in the armchair and placed my head in my right hand, and my right elbow on the chairs arm. This was going to get really bad in 3 2 1.

"It is your fault because if you hadn't gone and spawned that girl, Poseidon probably never would have thought, oh hey Zeus went and had a demigod four years ago.(I got that from another fan fiction, AnnabethChase5450, she did the math on it, so I'm goanna go with what she got.) What does it matter if I go off and have my own little one with a human, even though I'm one of the big three too?Besides it will probably be Zeus's child who has to fight Kronos, not mine!!!! That is how it is your fault!!!" She screamed, Zeus was shocked, but he couldn't say anything because Hera's argument actually made sense when you think about it.

"Okay I think that's enough for one day, why don't you two go find some places to cool down. How about we meet next week to discuss the rest of your problems? Even though this will probably take about a mortal's lifetime to finally pull through with something" I said walking out, muttering the last of my comment. Man I know this is going to take forever to go through and I can't even use my love magic to make them feel all happy lovey dovey again, because my magic won't work on them.

I decided to see what was going on, on the flat screen Hephaestus had made me, so that I could check up on everything that was going on in the world. And when I did I saw Lynia shooting an arrow from the special bracelet I had given her straight into the trunk of a far off tree. I squealed with delight at this, I just new the gift would suit her.

The next thing I knew she was speaking to Apollo, about how amazing the gift was, I knew I would have to thank Hephaestus for making it. But what happened next made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, Lynia started to cry, but these weren't tears of sorrow, they were tears of joy, she was happy about getting gifts from Nyx and Myself. All I could do was smile at this.

Next thing I knew there was a tap on my shoulder from behind me. When I turned around I saw Nyx. Now I had always liked Nyx, level headed, kindhearted, and always truly loved any man who was the father of one of her demigod children, like Lynia's great, great grandfather. She was also very pretty; she usually looked like she was in her late twenties, when I asked her she had said "Because I look old enough to not be carded at any place I go to, but I still look young enough to have fun." She told me that with one of the biggest, most evil grins I had ever seen, though I knew what she meant by it, Nyx was the goddess of night, and a lot of fun and parties happened at night.

"Aphrodite, it is always good to see you." She said while giving me a light hug. She then looked into my face with a bit of concern.

"What is wrong Nyx, you seem distraught." I asked her, it was always easy to tell when Nyx was upset, she didn't hide it easily.

"Its Lynia, I'm worried about her, Chiron sent her to the Oracle to get a prophecy, but she isn't even going on a quest, and also Apollo doesn't even know about it. It doesn't make any sense, how could he have not known about a prophecy the Oracle had given her, I mean it is his Oracle!" She said, I could hear the dismay in her voice.

Also, how could Apollo not known about the prophecy? Like Nyx had said, He's the freakin god of them! It had me worried, neither of us wanted her to be hurt, we never wanted our children and kin to be hurt.

"I'm sure everything will be alright, she's a smart girl Nyx, she will know what to do, we just have to trust her." I said to her, I knew Nyx would still be worried, but I could feel her beginning to relax.

"Now what does this prophecy say?" I asked her, and Nyx repeated it to me, I was shocked. Obviously it was about Lynia but end their mortal life, it made me feel edgy. Then I thought something, end their "Mortal" life, that could mean something else, it could mean…

"Nyx, I have a feeling about something, something I think we're goanna have to keep to ourselves. If the others were to know about this it may turn out bad." I said as we both nodded in agreement.

But as we were making these arrangements we heard someone scream, and I turned to the screen looking at my daughters face stricken in fear.
