Never Let Go

Summary: Sequel to "Can't Let Go." Read that first. After tragedy strikes, can Ashley and Andros find their way back to each other.

Chapter 14: White Wedding

One Month Later

"Please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Theodore J. Johnson." The announcer spoke as the newly weds walked onto the dance floor to have their first dance as husband and wife.

Kate and TJ started to sway to the music as Truly, Madly, Deeply began to play.

Watching their friends, Andros slid an arm around Ashley and kissed her cheek. "I love you."

Ashley smiled and kissed his lips. "I love you."

Other couples started to enter the dance floor when the announcer stated that they could join the couple.

Andros held Ashley close as they swayed. "So when are we going to tell them the news?"

Ashley laughed lightly. "TJ and Kate aren't leaving for their honeymoon until tomorrow. This is their day and I don't want to take away from that. We can tell everyone in the morning."

"I'm just really excited."

"I know." She kissed him, "But it's just one more day."

"Fine. I can't say no to you anyway."

"Remember that two weeks from now." She teased.

"Ashley, the day I say no to you on our wedding day will be when hell freezes over."

"That's what I like to hear."

The music played on and the time went by, leaving only the eight friends and their families at the reception.

"I can't believe I'm actually married." Kate glowed as she sat in TJ's lap. "I don't think I've ever been this happy before."

"I hope to keep you happy." TJ kissed her.

"Awww!" The others responded.

"Speaking of unbelievable," Carlos added. "Who would have thought Andros, Ashley Karone, and Zhane would be the last one's to get married?"

"I definitely didn't." Cassie smiled stroking her baby bump. "I thought you guys would get married right away."

"We thought about it," Zhane admitted. "But then we remembered that we have to go through the whole process of bringing Andros back from the dead and making him an official Earth citizen, and Andros and Karone's name changes."

"That and we didn't want to take away from Kate's day." Ashley added bouncing Ava in her lap.

"Thanks guys." Kate smiled. "It means a lot."

"You guys finally got the name thing done?" TJ asked.

"Yep, just today." Karone answered. "Which reminds me," She looked at her brother. "We should probably tell our parents now."

"I think you're right." He looked around. "There are our dads, but I don't see our mothers."

"There they are." Ashley rolled her eyes and smiled. Tricia Hammond and Sondria were talking to the band members that were left. "Ever planning our wedding."

"Well at least we only had to plan one wedding." Karone added. "I couldn't think of anyone else I would rather share my wedding day with."

"Same here." Ashley agreed.

"It really makes sense that you guys are having a double wedding." Cassie commented. "I know we're all friend, but the four of you have this bond that goes beyond words."

"You're gonna make me cry, Cassie." Ashley wiped the tear from her eye. "Mommy's okay baby." She assured her daughter when those big hazel eyes looked up at her with concern.

Just then Tricia and Sondria rushed to the table. "Sondria booked the band for the wedding." Tricia stated excitedly. She looked at Kate and TJ. "I hope you don't mind."

Kate laughed. "No it's fine."

"Tricia and I decided that we're going to cater it." Sondria added. "Put the two of us together and I don't think anyone could do better."

"I'm really glad you guys get along so well." Zhane added.

"Oh, Zhane," Sondria asked remembering. "When are your aunt and uncle landing on Earth? They need to be here in time for the first tuxedo and dress fittings."

"They promised they'd be here in a couple of days."

"Good." Sondria and Tricia began to discuss the wedding among themselves.

"Well the more they do the less work for us." Karone shrugged.

"Speak for yourself." Dewayne Hammond stated as he and Zavier with Trenton in tow came to the table. "You're not the ones who have to go out and get everything they need. Am I right Zavier?"

"Absolutely." Zavier agreed. "I don't remember doing this much for my own wedding."

The people at the table laughed.

"We have news." Andros started. "And as soon as our mothers stop going on about the wedding we'll tell you guys."

When the two women kept on talking, Ashley and Karone both called, "Mom."

"Sorry," Tricia smiled. "What is it?"

"Andros and Karone have something to say." Ashley answered.

"Go ahead." Zavier urged.

"Karone and I got our citizenship papers today." Andros started. "We are now officially Andros Rikai Slade…"

"And Karone Rebecca Slade." Karone finished.

"Rebecca?" Carlos asked.

Karone leaned against her brother. "I like it…and it starts with an 'R.'"

"She has to be like her big brother." Zhane teased.

"And what's wrong with that?" Andros countered.

"Yeah, I happen to like my brother." Karone stuck out her tongue.

Sondria laughed even as tears came to her eyes. "It doesn't matter. They're still my babies." She hugged them. "I love you both."

"Hey, what about me?" Trenton objected tugging on his mother's dress.

"You're my baby too." She smiled at him and brought him into the hug.

"So legally you're our kids now?" Zavier asked hopefully.

"Yeah dad." Andros smiled as his father joined in on the hug.

"Oh this is precious." Cassie pulled out her camera. "Tricia, Dewayne, get in the picture too." They did as they were told and Cassie snapped the picture.

Ashley laughed and turned to her father. She immediately winced. "Ugh daddy, what are you wearing?"

Dewayne frowned and sniffed his jacket. "It's the cologne you gave me."

"Oh god." Ashley quickly put Ava in Andros's arms and practically ran for the bathroom.

Everyone at the table was suddenly silent and staring at Andros, who was desperately trying to ignore them. Ava laughed and smiled.

"Andros?" Tricia asked sweetly. "Is there something you'd like to share with us?"

"Huh?" Andros asked dumbly. Ava continued to laugh as if she were in on some big joke, which she probably was.

"Andros," Dewayne spoke this time. "In the four weeks that you have been back, did you manage to get my daughter pregnant… again?"

"Oh god." Andros buried his face in Ava's soft hair in an attempt to hide the crimson on his face.

"Way to go, Andros." Zhane reached over Karone and playfully punched Andros in the arm.

Andros in turn glared at Zhane.

"Could you please stop torturing my fiancé?" Ashley said as she walked back to the table. "False alarm, just felt a little nauseous." She said to Andros then turned towards the others. "I believe this is a happy thing."

"Of course we're happy for you honey." Tricia hugged her daughter. "This won't affect your dress fitting will it?"

The others had to laugh. "No mom." Ashley smiled. "I'm not showing, and I don't think I'll be showing in the next two weeks."

"Oh my god Ashley!" Cassie exclaimed. "When did you find out?"

Ashley shared a private glance at her husband to be. "Officially, we found out last week."

"Why didn't you say anything honey?" Sondria asked.

"Because we didn't want to take away from Kate and TJ."

"We were planning on telling everyone tomorrow." Andros added.

"I guess this means we're going to be grandparents again." Zavier added with a smile.

"Congratulations you guys!" Kate smiled.

"Thanks." Ashley and Andros responded.

"You're gonna be a big sister Ava." Karone spoke to her niece. Ava smiled, her two new baby teeth showing and clapped her hands in response.

"I think she likes the idea." TJ smiled.

Andros bounced her. "You're ready for your little brother, aren't you?"

"Brother?" Sondria asked. "How do you know it's a boy?"

Ashley shared a private smile with Andros. "Trust us on this." Ashley started. "It's a boy."

"Oh!" Sondria grabbed Tricia. "We have to start planning the baby shower." They immediately started talking about where it should be held and the things they would need.

Dewayne groaned and looked at Andros. "This is your fault; therefore, we are dragging you along with us to get whatever stuff they need for this thing too."

Andros laughed. "Yes sir." Andros looked at the people around him; his friends, his family, his daughter and his soon to be wife and couldn't think of anywhere else he would rather be.
