It's innocence when it charms us, ignorance when it doesn't-Mclaughlin

*Innocence*

It was her innocence that had struck Alec the first time he laid eyes on her. He could hear it in her voice,that spoke in a childish and naive tone. He could see it in her eyes,a warm brown that hadn't been affected yet with the cruelty and horrors of life. Even her bronze,soft curls made her seem more innocent. At first, he had hated her for it. He would never get his innocence back that was taken from him so many uncountable years ago. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that he resented her for something that she couldn't help,but still...

Then came the day that she noticed his resentment.

Ofcourse Renesmee didn't understand that anyone disliked After all she had grown up in a family that worshipped her like she was some kind of goddess. But Renesmee was raised to be a nice and polite girl,and nice and polite girls do something about negative feelings. She had approached him and tried to chat. Unfortunately she hadn't that great social skills(the result of an overprotective father,a giant dog that scared everyone near her and two uncles both skilled in intimitading people in their own way) and he had looked at her with disgust. But Renesmee wasn't a quitter and everyday she tried to talk to him,pushing him until she would find the orgin of his hate. She asked him about his past,his family,even his sister who scared the hell out of her,...

Alec never answered. So she tried harder.

Slowly Alec started to answer her questions in short,clipped sentences. In response she told something of her family and past. Was it her perseverance or his amusement with the girl's plans that made him talk? It doesn't matter.

Finally,Alec told her the orgin of his hate and frustration on a rainy had stared at him with round eyes. A couple of minutes later she had left without saying a word and Alec couldn't help but miss her company.

After a few days she came back. He felt joy,an emotion unknown for him. He tried to say something but she silenced him with her lips.

Because Renesmee had seen innocence the first day Alec talked to her.
