Lily's parents were sitting down to dinner
Brutus spent a few days alone in the forest, weeping dryly over Emily. It was foolish to think he could ever be with her. He would have to watch himself every day. If she was happy, he must glide away. But if he stayed with her, he had to always protect her. If he let her see something that would scare her, even just a little bit, he would have to leave, or he would force it upon her. He knew that leaving her, going off somewhere else, would be best for her, and that was all he wanted. But he couldn't just turn away. It would definitely, he thought, raise the question: Can a dementor feel immense sorrow? The answer:yes.
