Growing up in the shadow of the apocalypse, all Shinji Ikari ever wanted to do was reconnect with what little family he has left. On the cusp of his sixteenth birthday however, it would seem his father, and fate itself for that matter, have much more in mind for him.

Set in the anime, starting with the end of the Twelfth Angel attack, Shinji, along with NERV, find themselves having to deal with the unexpected, and very unimaginable arrival of a new generation with a tie to the hurtful past. Since there is an infinite number of alternate universes, the same scenario can be visited over and over again, with different results.

Rei finds Asuka home alone, a plastic guitar in her hands her only company. She doesn't appear to be having fun.

The Hedgehog's Dilemma dictates that despite the intention of a reciprocal relationship, it may not occur for reasons that two individuals cannot avoid. Shinji Ikari is taken from his mundane existence back home and is confronted with the horrors of war as he learns to come to terms with his existence.

A story depicting what happened outside the Evas during the time of Two Souls; it outlines how Asuka/Shinji interactions changed under influence of Kyoko and Yui. It happens chronologically during chapters 8. and 9. of Two Souls.

Sometimes a nightmare can lead us to question things, but even the worst nightmare can fade into a pleasant dream with the ones you love.
