An angel, a demon
Two creatures so different, yet the same
The soul, the core of our bodies
Fuses these two in stares, in clouds
In dark in light
A timeless dance neither can live without the other
You are the demon, you are the angel
The immortal blood runs thick in your veins
In the demon, the angel sleeps
Always there yet buried
Inside the heart of this monstrous beast
A faint light, a glowing sphere inhabits the heart
It is smothered, almost chocked by the Darkness
The frigid cold Darkness, consuming all
But the Light refuses to go out
Burning steadily within you
In the angel, the demon growls
It is a powerful force of nature
Though you have chosen to stride in Light
It is always there tempting you with
Its poisonous hate and seductive rage
Yet you push away the dark whispers
Of the animal, caged beast
For you want to be more, to have more
A rich full life is what you seek
So my magnificent creature of Dark and Light
