Chapter 9 Bumming out the boogeyman

After she had been given the hard word about staying away from Randy and any other WWE superstars Raven headed over to see how Jamie was. She wasn't sure why the others couldn't see it but John was good for Jamie, he was the first person to see past her brain injury and see her as a person. John had been nothing but a sweet kind friend to her and now she was forced apart. Raven knew she would be hurting so she bought her some chocolate cookies in an vain attempt to cheer up.

"Hey uncle, hows Jamie?" Raven asked putting her sunnies on top of her head.

"Bad"

"How bad?"

"Miraih Carey in Glitter"

Raven just nodded her head, an odd look on her face. "Right, wanna see if she'll come down?"

"I don't hold much hope, shes been staying in bed a lot" Hunter said going upstairs.

"Sweetie? You have a visitor" Hunter said opening her door, a lump of blankets suggested that Jamie had gophered underneath them.

"If its not John then I don't care" Jamie answered making Hunter look around, her voice not coming from the bed,

"Sweetie where are you?"

"Under the bed"

"Ok I think I'll take away the tweezers so we don't have a repeat of the If-I-can't-have-Eli-I-don't-deserve-eyebrows incident" Hunter said taking the tweezers from her drawer. "And you know what else I need"

"No!"

"C'mon Jamie hand it over" Hunter said leaning down beside the bed.

"No"

"If you don't I'll have to call Iziah" In a flash Jamie threw out a jar of face-cream, "Thank you."

"Well its gotten worse" Hunter said coming downstairs "She's now under the bed trying to bum out the boogeyman"

"Want me to go upstairs and talk to her?"

"Could you?"

"Yeah I guess" Raven butted out her smoke "I hate your boss"

"Yeah me too" Hunter agreed "Am I the only one that sees it? Jamie needs John"

"And from what I hear John needs her just as bad" Raven said going up the stairs to Jamies room.

She took a seat down by the bed "Is there a reason your under the bed?"

Jamie popped her head out and lay on the floor beside her older sister "Me and John played hde and go seek once. It was fun"

"I can imagine. Hows the arm?"

"Itchy and scratchy. I like them" Jamie giggled for a moment before sighing sadly. "I miss John"

"I know but if it helps I broke Mollys arm"

"Yes it does help, thank you"

"Anytime. I take it you haven't been well?"

Jamie shook her head, loose blonde strands falling everywhere, "I miss him. Does he miss me?"

"Yeah I think he does"

"Yay I'm special"

"If it helps I think I've got something that will make you feel better"

"No Raven, no more sailors that think their coming over for their physical"

"Its not that" Raven chuckled pulling out her cellphone and dialling a number. "Trust me you will like this"

"Ok" Jamie trusted her sister completely but she was still at a loss for what she was going to do, knowing Raven it could be anything.

"Hey babe, how are you?" "No I'm not gonna give you that seeing as how I'm here with my sister" "Your a freak you know that" "I need a favour" "It will only cost you one night" "I need you to take Jam to the Hall of fame as your date" "So she can see John, duh"

"Your the best, thanking you and yes I will do that for you. I was going to anyways." "Ok hanging up now"

Raven put her phone and turned to Jamie's confused face "There and now you get to see John and I need to stretch so I don't pull my back out"

"Who was that and where am I going?"

"That was my boyfriend and hes taking you to the hall of fame so you can see John"

"When did you get a boyfriend?"

"About eight months ago" Raven shrugged, no one knew about her relationship and she wanted it to stay that way but as weird as it was she knew she could trust Jamie with her secret.

"Dad isn't going to like it"

"Yeah well since I started screwing the rules I've been a lot happier. Maybe you should do the same"

Jamies eyes bulged "Your telling me to screw the rules?"

"Only if it makes you happy"

"You know I should be with John"

"Yeah I do thats why my boyfriend is taking you to the hall of fame instead of me now go and pick a dress and I'll tell Uncle your going"

Jamie rushed out from the bed and pounced on Raven knocking her to the floor. "I love you so much! Thank you, thank you!"

"And thats stretched my back out, thanks Jamie"
