Chapter 11 Long legged Cinderella
Jamie happily swayed in the middle of the lounge, enjoying the way her bright blue dress moved. She had been told that Shawn was taking her instead of Raven's boyfriend, she also had been told that John would be there too. Jamie couldn't believe that she got to dress up and see John, she was so happy she couldn't stop moving.
"Dad! Come on! We're going to miss it" Jamie said inpatiently her dress still moving. She couldn't wait to see John and all her other friends. She wondered if they missed her as much as she missed them.
"Hold your horses, I'm coming" Shawn laughed grabbing his keys and wallet "Alright lets go"
When they got there her eyes lit up even more, everyone was in there best and happily talking to each other about the night.
"Wow I've never seen so many sparkly people in one room, its like an Elton John concert" Jamie giggled still fiddling with her dress "And Ravens here, this night just gets better"
Shawn looked at his daughter surpised, he didn't expect to see her here. In typical Raven fashion she was the only one wearing a black dress and no other colour to be found.
"What are you doing here?"
"My boyfriend took me" Raven shrugged hugging her sister.
"Ooh can we meet him?" Jamie asked practically bouncing up and down.
"Sure, hes around here somewhere"
"How long have you been dating one of my wrestlers?" Shawn snapped
"You don't own them Dad"
"How long?"
"About eight months" Raven answered before he could explode she pointed out John "Hey look Cena"
"Aw he looks so sad"
"Maybe you should go and say hello, maybe that will cheer him up" Raven suggested knowing that would get rid of Jamie.
"Can I?"
"Sure can sweet" Shawn said nicely watching Jamie practically skip over to John. He had to admit that it was very sweet to see Johns face light up when he saw Jamie. Shawn turned back to Raven still angry that she had kept something like this from him.
"Eight months, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I knew you would react like this"
"Who is it?" Shawn demanded "Which one of them am I superkicking in the face?"
"If you do I'll never speak to you again"
"Which one Raven?"
"Do you know Sheamus?"
"Yes"
"Well its not him, its Randy Orton"
Shawn just looked at her stunned "How is that even possible? You met him two days ago"
"No you think I met him two days ago, I've known him for about eight months now"
"I thought I told you to stay away from him"
"Yeah but he had a problem with staying away from me"
Shawn rubbed his temples, this was too much to take in right now. "I cannot deal with this right now"
"Well you deal with this when you can in the meantime I'm going to spend some time with my boyfriend" Raven shrugged heading off to find Randy.
"I can't believe your here" John smiled again, everything just seemed right now that Jamie was here. John admitted that his feelings had dived from friendship into something more. He missed everything about Jamie but for one night everything was alright.
"Me either, you look so pretty" Jamie gushed looking at his suit, "I really like the tie" Jamie fiddled with the black tie. She couldn't understand it but being here with John made her nervous but in a good way. After the ceremony John had taken Jamie out to a private part of the hall so they could talk. He had told her all the latest gossip and now they were just reconnecting as friends.
"You look just as pretty Jamie" John couldn't take his eyes off the girl, she looked so grown up that the dirty thoughts just over took him, he had to keep reminding himself that she was still only sixteen.
"I still say its like an Elton John concert" Jamie gushed looking at Kelly's bright pink dress, "And Barbie looks really pretty"
"Not as pretty as you"
"Thank you John but you still can't have my chillie"
"Aw and I wanted it so badly"
"So what else has gone on while I was away?"
"Everything that I told you, oh and your psycho sister broke Molly's arm"
"Yeah she told me" Jamie laughed "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure can"
"Why did you look so sad?"
"Because I was without my buddy, I missed you Jelly-bean"
Jamie's eyes lit up, "You remembered!"
"Course I did, you'll always be Jelly-bean to me"
Jamie hugged him, every bulging muscle moulded her small frame perfectly and those butterflies took off madly "I missed you too John"
He kissed the top of head lovingly hoping the gesture looked innocent, taking her hand he wrote something down. "This is my new number, text me and I promise to text back"
Even Jamie knew that was wrong, she could really get John into trouble by doing this. "Are you sure? I don't want you getting fireds because of me and the twilight vampires"
"I won't get fired Jamie, I give you my word on that"
Jamie lent up and kissed his cheek, in the last split second John turned, his lips catching her's in a sweet tender kiss. Jamie pulled away surprised and confused. She just looked at him wondering why her friend did that, friends didn't kiss friends did they?
"I have to go"
"Jamie, wait!" John wanted to explain but she had taken off too fast, just like Cinderella.
