Chapter 19 I'm not stupid
Early the next morning Shawn took Jamie to see Raven who was already amitted into hospital. Jamie was stil thinking the worst about Raven being in hospital, she had told her father this and now he was trying his best to cheer her up.
"Hey your ok!" Jamie squealed happily seeing her sister, Randy right by her bedside. Shawn didn't say anything even though it was clear he wanted to.
"I'm gonna get some coffee" Randy kissed her forehead before side stepping past Shawn and leaving them alone. He knew that deep down fighting with Shawn was slowly killing Raven.
"Most decent thing hes ever done" Shawn muttered sitting in the spare chair. "So how are you, nervous?"
Raven ignored him and turned to Jamie "How are you feeling"
"Much better now that I know your ok" Jamie hugged her "Is this gonna make your leg better?"
"Yep, I won't have to worry about it ever again"
"Jamie can you go and find Randy for me, I need to talk to your sister"
"Ok Dad" Jamie said happily bounding from the room and going down the corriders shouting Randy.
"Are you nervous?" Shawn asked again looking at his daughter. She just gave him the coldest look he had ever seen from anybody.
"I'm fine"
"I need your help Raven"
"And why would I help you"
"Because your sister is in trouble, alot of it" Shawn started. Now he had Raven's attention.
"Why is she in trouble?"
"I know she's been seeing John, I'm not stupid"
"Could of fooled me"
"Raven could you not make this about you" Shawn snapped annoyed at her attitude.
"Apologize to Randy and I'll be more inclined to listen like a good girl"
"Why am I saying sorry to that douche?"
"For letting him think that he hit me when we both know it was your fist that got me, not his oh and for calling him a douche"
"I am not apologizing to him"
"Fine" Raven said settling down in her bed. Nothing was said and for once Shawn relented.
"Ok I'll say sorry to him now can we talk about your sister and how I need your help"
"How do you know that shes been seeing John?"
"Well lets start with the fact that shes calling him Mandy and Mandy wears bright orange shirts"
"That doesn't proove anything"
"Oh and I saw him climbing out of your sisters window yesterday"
"Yeah that would do it"
"You already knew this didn't you"
"That depends are you going to explode?"
"Yes"
"Then no, I had no idea"
Shawn closed his eyes annoyed "Raven Michales, for a super smart girl you sure do act dumb"
"Yeah I know, I'm still failing to see how this is a problem, let them have their secret"
"You don't understand, Vince has called it official meaning" "That you gotta tell him or else you get fired" Raven finished for him.
"So I either take away your sisters happiness or I get fired, thats why I need your help"
"Ok before I tell you the soloution can I just ask why aren't you mad that they've been seeing each other"
"Believe me I'm not happy and right now all I can think of is tearing the mans head off but I can't do that, Jamie isn't like you Raven, she can't handle it the way you can"
"Thanks that makes me feel so much better" Raven rolled her eyes "Ok let me talk to Jamie"
"What will that do"
"You and I both know what will happen if they get caught and eventually they will get caught so maybe I can convince Jamie to stop it before it gets any more dangerous"
"That will break her heart Raven"
"She will be more heart broken if John loses his job because of her, this is whats best even if I don't agree with it"
"Well what do you agree with?"
"I agree that the two should be allowed to live their lives however they want and not be bothered by stupid Vince and his stupid self righteous ideas that only cause more trouble"
"Who else thinks that?"
"Randy, uncle Hunter and I know deep down so do you because when have you ever seen Jamie that happy"
"He does make that smile come out"
"She will see its for the best in the long run with any luck"

"Dad I'm sorry for calling you a knob head"
Shawn laughed "I guess I was acting like a knob head"
