"Today I don't feel like doing anything~""Yuki, pipe it down. I hear more you then I do the radio!"I frowned, craning my neck back to get a clear glimpse of the review mirror, which was angled just perfectly so really, I was just staring at Jacob who was well rested in the back of the my car. He was lying down at such an angle that his feet were hanging out the open window, and though his stature appeared leisurely, his expression held silent worry. Couldn't blame him with the current situation. Visiting his maybe-vampire-girlfriend-imprint who had been taken in by a cult of other vampires that he, apparently, didn't particularly get along with. Oh yeah, maybe I should catch you up to date? We'll, that's the story. I woke up, got well acquainted with everyone again, and somehow winded up in a car with lover boy and Paul, who was driving, when I really did not want to go anywhere. Driving, and nearing close to, the Cullens family home, where that crazy imprint of Jacobs was sent after just about killing 'll, can't exactly say were a functional bunch."Do you hear the static from that thing? I'm sure my voice is a lot better!""One could argue."Gasping, I dramatically turned my gaze onto Paul who was more attentive to me then the road that he really should have been watching... Then again, what's the worst that could happen? Car accident, yeah, but with our speedy healing we'd probably come out of it with a mere scratch or two. Anyway, we made eye contact. And I was once again overcome with that fluttery feeling in my chest. The thought of only being with him for the rest of my life, cause of the imprint thing, was terrifying... But it was moments like that that made me think it wasn't all that myself I mentally clenched my hand into a fist and pouted to go along with my voice, "Did you hear Jacob? He's being really mean!"Deciding to play along Paul gave me a small smirk before looking forwards once again, as any good driver should. "I will turn this car around.""You don't scare me." Jacob scoffed, from his tone it was clear that he knew we were all kidding around, but still trying to challenge Paul. If there was one thing I learned from the few days being here, and the experience that it gave me... We'll, it's that all the guys... Are such... Men? Yep. Men. Can't find a better word to explain it. Now, clearly there of the male type. Duh. I mean Men as in their attitudes. Always acting macho, attempting to be the best. You know, men.I gave a quiet huff and looked out my own side window, now separating myself from the conversation that issued between the two of them. For some reason calmed by the low muffle of static, and the vision of trees that we constantly passed by. I was nervous, to say the least. I mean, the last time I seen that vampire girl she had tried to kill me... So, paying a friendly visit really wasn't on my list of priority... But I could tell being around the cullens, for some reason, didn't sit well with Jacob either... Couldn't let the poor guy go in alone. And as for Paul? We'll, he hasn't left my side since I'd woken up. There was absolutely no way he was just not going to tag along. Didn't really mind it anyway, at least with him by my side I felt safer. Even though Jacob promised I wouldn't be attacked again if I tagged along. Apparently the Cullens were in full control of there thirst, and wouldn't let any MORE harm come to ! THIS WAS ALL JUST CRAZY!A little while ago the thought of werewolves and vampires was just a story book fantasy, but now it was all real. Hell, I was a werewolf and I was on my way to VISIT vampires! I wanted to get as far away from it as possible, maybe even go as far as curling up in a cave somewhere and hiding from all this messed up-"Yuki. Were here."I winced back into admission, my once closed eyes now wide opened as I stared up at Paul who stood outside, in between me and the now opened passenger door. Had I fallen asleep? Must have... In the blink of an eye the day had turned to night and we were suddenly parked beside the house we had been traveling to. In all fairness it had been nearing dark while we were driving, so it wasn't that much of a time lapse... Just wish I would've felt the energy kick that a power nap usually gave me...Guess that would be asking for too my neck I took Pauls awaiting hand with my free one and smiled lightly as he pulled me out of the car to his side. From what I could see Jacob was nowhere in sight, meaning he probably already headed inside... Honestly, what was the point of bringing us along if he was just gonna leave us alone anyway? Not sure what to do now I stood directly beside Paul, my arm snuggly wrapped around his body as his own hung over my shoulders in a protective way. The head and smell of his body was intoxicating... And I wanted absolutely nothing but to loose myself in it."Yuki, it is good to see you up and well."Like some kind of guilty child I moved my head away from Pauls chest to look at who had been speaking to me, awed almost instantly by the man that simply smiled in return. Compared to Paul, he wasn't anything special, but my god he was gorgeous. His well brushed and styled blond hair seemed to shine in the little light that the podia offered, his skin was pale and eerie, as I guessed a vampire should look, but all in all he was still so inviting. It was all too obvious that he was a doctor. THE doctor that Paul said took care of me."Carlisle, right?" I smiled lightly, taking Paul by the hand and leading him the rest of the way to the front door. As much as I didn't want to, I needed to seem friendly. I was exceeding the boundaries of my safety zone, but, I couldn't just NOT acknowledge the man that saved my nodded in response before taking my hand and giving it a quick shake. I nearly jumped out of my skin to feel just how cold he was. Compared to my overheated body, it was no treat. Yet I couldn't tell if the shivers that ran up my spine were because of fear or that girlish jittery feeling I often became a victim to around attractive men."I didn't have a chance to... Properly thank you for keeping me alive." I spoke up, my voice meek compared to before as I retreated back into Pauls embrace. Safe to say I was un-nerved by how put together Carlisle man laughed lightly, and I would've guessed that he was going to say your welcome when the doors opened and his attention was temporarily distracted from the first I didn't really think much of the people walking outside, as the first was the ever-recognizable Jacob. It was when he castes me a quick glance, and moved out of the way to revile who was following close behind that I froze on the spot, just about nearing having a heart was the girl. The girl that was almost the death of body tensed and almost instantly Paul stepped in front of me. I could see his muscles ripple at the chance of a fight. And that seemed to terrify me more then the thought of being attacked myself."Calm down. I am not here to cause any more pain."Calm, cool, and collected... Was this.. Her voice? How could such a monster sound so human?Nervously I placed my hand on Pauls back and peeked around his form at the women. Her eyes were now a dull form of red, but still red... Either way, it didn't seem as if she was going to attack. Our gazes locked, and for a moment I felt as if I was going to run off again, but I didn't."I believe I owe you an apology."
