Yuffie stood in the shallow waters at the edge of her hometown, spear in hand. She had wanted to try catching a fish on her own. The local fishermen all use giant nets to pull in huge catches, but Yuffie wanted to do it without one. She was the Great Ninja Yuffie after all. She didn't need any net to catch her game. Silently she waited, not moving a muscle.

A medium sized fish lazily swam its way towards her feet, not sensing the danger that awaited it. Ever so slowly, Yuffie inched her way into a more suitable position to stake the fish. Rays on sunlight glinted off the silver fish's scales as it came closer and closer. Then in a blur of motion, Yuffie stabbed downward with her spear with all her might. The water churned and became cloudy with the disturbed sand. She lifted the spear out of the water, the fish thrashing wildly on the end of it. A smile came to the ninja's face. She knew she'd be able to catch one of these slick creatures without a net.
