Hello readers, this is a continuation of Wonder Of Elements fanfiction but with a twist. The subtitle is called Parasitic Dragon Of Darkness, the twist is the addition of my own dragon ocs my own twist into the original story line. The story will be through Volkossah's pov. I would like to give a big thanks to AnthroLover for giving me permission to continue his story and the credit goes to AnthroLover for creating his own oc dragons and the story that he made belongs to him, so a big shout out to him from letting me do this. Summary: Volkossah, a long forgotten dragon trapped with a nature, a nature with a bloodlust to infect the dragon realms. While trapped Vlokasrexz, Malice and Soul had poisoned the world in record time. The overlord's time is near as the clock is ticking down to Armageddon, Volkossah must hurry. The parasitic dragon will go through betrayal, love and hardship with Spyro and the other young guardians. Will Spyro trust Volkossah? How will the others react to Volkossah's dark secret? How will Cosmo react in see his long lost friend? And what about overlords, how will they react to the mortal last parasitic dragon alive?
In the morning, the young dragons of the temple were sleeping including a young purple dragon by the name of Spyro who was dead asleep after helping out Cyril. An ice dragon who was scrubbing the floors of the temple yesterday. The arrogant young ice dragon get punished by the overlords of the elements after making Spyro cry. But Spyro felt pity for him as he saw Cyril clearing the floors of the temple and decided to help out hoping to befriend him. Right now Spyro was waking up very slowly while between Ignitus and Luminous, he knew that Cosmo will have to teach him for now on until he mastered Convexity. However far away, deep into the core of the plant behind a locked seal, was something that had awakened and that is me. I guess you are all wondering who I am and what kind of dragon I'm?
Well… I'm Volkossah, a parasitic dragon from a long forgotten forbidden clan called the parasitic clan. You see, my clan was deemed a threat in the dragon realms many years before Malice and Soul's murdering spree you could say. Who are the evil dragons gods that are hell bent on crushing the gods of this world? If this happens then they will create a world of death, hatred and grief. But I'm getting ahead of myself, I guess you are wondering why I'm called a parasitic dragon. That is because I can infect other dragons and drain their life force away within seconds.
I'm a male dragon that can breathe a forbidden element that is similar to Convexity called Parasitic Darkness. Parasitic Darkness is an uncontrolled element that can destroy large mountains and corrupted a whole plant if I allow it to spread. But enough of my element, let's talk about me. I'm a very muscular black plated scaled dragon with seven yellow beast-like eyes, one on top of my head and three on each side of my head. My horns are light blue, shaped like a crescent moon with four side horns. My bottom jaw is split down the middle while my tongues are split into three separation tongues with serrent ends.
My red & purple underbelly is split open down the middle like a mouth, it continues down my hind legs before stopping at my pelvis. My ribs stick out like multiple bone-like teeth that are very sharp, while a thick hard protective layer of flashy scales covers my organs. My neck is the same as my ribs but without the protective layer, but with many tentacles which can react while my esophagus is fully showing my neck organ.
My light blue wings are split into two other wings from one joint each altogether making four wings in total. All four of my wings have one side that is torn, showing the wing membrane bone and the other side is perfectly fine. My tail is split into five long like-whips with serrated blades at the tips. I've five hydra-like heads on my back that can tear apart tough scales. They mostly seek their targets but I can retract them because I can control them with ease. I basically look like a dragon of death in the eyes of normal dragon,
At age one and a half I started to develop my parasitic darkness and I don't mean a small single fireball here or there that could damage someone's arm, then could be healed up. Oh no, I mean utter destruction and what I mean is limbs flying off, mutating limbs into weapons, mind control or bending other's will. My first time using that kind of power, I caused 1½ of my home to be destroyed. Though there is always a negative side to that kind of power. That negative side can cause me to be uncontrolled and very dangerous to be around with others.
My species is long forgotten and hated by the gods due to my kind nature, a nature that can destroy lives of other dragons in seconds. My kind got banished within the plant's core by the god's cause over the course of the early days, the parasitic dragons decided to annihilate all life. But the parasitic dragons had managed to survive by creating and living in an underground city called Parlyilies Dracoiyz, which means Parasitic Dragons in the dark language. Even though the dark language is forgotten today, it is extremely ancient and was used before the dragon realm was formed. I was born nine-five years ago and have been alone since then. You see my egg was laid in this underground city away from Malice and Soul's eyes and ears. If they had found my egg before I hatched, then both would try to control me, something I don't want at all. Right now I was currently chained to an altar, in front of the seal that had locked me away for generations.
I was the last parasitic egg laid by my species in an attempt to repopulate my race. The reason why the parasitic race died out except for me and the parasitic gods, is because the other adult parasitic dragons had starved themselves before I hatched from my egg. Food was very scarce here, the only food that I found was the bodies of my kind. Going above ground would be very risky but there was food there, but every time I try to go above ground. I would run into the seal that the dragon gods had placed to lock me in this core, not to mention the dark god's influence who are known as Malice and Soul. If they discover me by breaking this seal then both could use me as a weapon of war. My race can mate with other dragons, but the adult dragons here are literally half my size. Plus the young dragons are smaller in size than the parasitic dragon hatchlings, so mating with the adult dragon here would be disastrous because my gigantic size can crush them with ease.
In my early life I had to eat my own kind, I know it's cannibalism but it was either that and survive or starve to death. The parasitic race can constrict their food in their stomachs, let's say I eat a deer. It will last a couple of weeks within me, but the bigger the prey the more it will last. I snapped out of my thoughts as I thought about the current Overlords and their pupils.
Blazer the overlord of fire, he is the leader of the group of dragons. Blazer's apprentice is Ignitus, who is Spyro's one of two adopted brothers. Next in line is Aquarius the water overlord, apprentice of the water overlord is Depth. Bolt the electricity overlord, his pupil is Volteer, next is a ice dragon overlord, whose name I have no fucking clue but his pupil is Cryil. Tempest the wind overlord, her pupil is Whirlwind. Quake the earth overlord his pupil is Terrodor, Luminous the light overlord his pupil is Lumino, who is the second adopted brother to Spyro. Opposition element to Luminous is Void the overlord of darkness, his pupil is none other than Cynder. There is another overlord, a dangerous one that was locked up in a vault, Cosmo the Convexity overlord, his pupil is Spyro. But Spyro's training must remain a secret. How do I know all of this while sealed up?
Well… many years ago before Spyro came into existence and before Cosmo was locked up, the young purple: Cosmo accidently found me via a Convexity portal while experimenting with the element. He was had trouble controlling his element. Cosmo was very scared at my size but I reassured him by telling him my name, what kind of dragon I am. I also told him about my past, about how I was a threat to the gods and they had banished me for no apparent reason.
He was… surprised that I was born an orphan. Cosmo told me his own parents abandoned him after he was born and threw him in the wilds. Cosmo was barely alive for a few days without food or water, the purple dragon thought that he was going to die until three young guardians by the name Blazer, Quake and Luminous saw him hanging by a thread. The Guardians at that time take Comos under their wings and train him, until he starts having trouble with Convexity. I remember he started to visit me every week to chat, it was fun to have some company and a friend. Until Comos was locked up in a vault by the current overlords due to losing control and harming other dragons. Cosmo still visits me to this day, but it's not every week now it's twice a month.
I was kept up to date by Cosmo in the current state of the dragon realm since his imprisonment via a Convexity portal or I contacted him through a Parasitic Darkness portal. Either way it's still fun talk to him, I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts about Cosmo as I felt the seal suddenly crack with a familiar energy, before I could think about this. The seal suddenly exploded as Parasitic Darkness somehow destroyed the seal for a short time. Shortly after that one of the parasitic gods that my kind worships: Zikdralinrcx pooped his dragon head in as I looked at him, beyond his head I saw the outside world. The seal was like a mirror that I could see through as I heard his dark voice rung within my head.
"I finally you, Volkossah. I came to free you, my brother Dracoslhyziy is currently talking to the overlords at the dragon temple, cause somehow Malice and Soul had recently joined forces with Vloikasrexz the pure dragon god of unholy darkness. I know that you have questions about how I manage to break this seal and their alliance, but trust me Malice and Soul's spies are everywhere. Come with me if you want to live your life to the fullest." Zikdralinrcx roared out as I felt the chain weaken for their holy power that kept me locked away. Within a split second I ripped the chain off completely without thinking or saying anything, cause I wanted to be free instead of being locked up.
This left burn marks on my ankles as I opened my four dragon wings. I immediately took flight as the seal was slowly regenerating, within a quick burst of speed. I managed to fly out of the core as I and the parasitic dragon god landed roughly on the ground.
"Zikdralinrcx, where am I?" I asked growl in shock as I was surprised that the seal had been a portal all this time. I looked around my surroundings. I saw a barren wasteland of a forest, dead trees surrounding us as I was surprised by this forest's state.
"You're in Avalar, miles away from our destination. A dead forest with no life at all. The water has been poisoned by Vloikasrexz's dark power alone, the life has died out due to Malice and Soul's effect. The forest has succumbed to what I know is a Parasitic Toxicity, this is what Malice, Soul and Vloikasrexz's effects have done to this forest alone. The only places that are not affected are the Dragon Temple, Parlyilies Dracoiyz and several other key major cities like the Dragon City. They all are protected by light magic barriers that were created by my brother several years ago." Zikdralinrcx growl in anger as I nodded in understanding, while saw purple and red glowing goo that was eating at the soil in front of me like poison or acid. It was almost everywhere as I was thinking this, I though about the overlords and their pupils. Zikdralinrcx took flight as I followed him to the Dragon Temple, my thoughts turned to my long time friend: Cosmo. I hope that Cosmo remembers me as a friend and not as a stranger, cause I'll need his help on defeating Vloikasrexz and the evil gods.
