uff well here it is, this may take a bit to update but the story was driving me crazy. I had to get it out

just so you know Naru isn't that much of a narcissist here but still a bit demanding. There's a reason for that and I will reveal it as we go further

but as you may notice the characters do the story their way, I have no way to control it, so if you see it a bit of Out of character is because they freaking rebelled against me. ugh

anyway enjoy

"Hello, this is Taniyama Mai from the Shibuya Psychic Research alliance. We will begin the removal of harmful spectres throughout block 1 to 12. As per accordance to the paranormal pact, Yokai, humans and hybrids please remain on your residence. This is the third and last warning"

Turning off the microphone, the brunette girl turned to her boss.

"Naru, everything is ready"

The black haired teen nodded and his voice was heard through the channel.

"Begin"

As soon as he snapped his fingers, a chant was made. The red haired Miko named Ayako Matsuzaki instantly stabbed the ground with a branch and a blue barrier began to form through the streets.

bang*

The barrier was set in place and no later the air suddenly changed, along with the atmosphere in it. It turned red and cold. two individuals stepped forward. One of them had his eye covered with his hair while the other was wearing monk like robes.

The tall looking guy called Lin suddenly whistled and spirits ball like creatures shot to the sky, leaving a faint bright trace... it didn't take long for them to dive in and slam themselves to the ground.

boom*

Multiple red colored spectres rose from the ground. all of them were evil spirits.

"Monk"

"I'm on it"

Takigawa the monk responded to the Miko who was doing her best to keep the evil spirits from escaping.

Clap* the monk brought forth chains that suppressed the spirits in place. He then quickly turned to look at the figure that had shot up.

tap.*

Naru landed on the highest roof. His blue eyes suddenly turned red. The moon above in the sky made his shadow darker and his cape fluttered with the air. It certainly looked like a villain entrance.

His voice echoed through the place

"Disappear"

Crushing the air in front of him with his fist. a snapping sound was heard.

blob* blob* blob* all the red spirits bursted and scattered like gas.

Mai shuddered but turned towards the priest besides her.

John nodded to her glance. Masako who was beside him spoke at that moment.

"the rest of the spirits are benign. they do not pose any danger you may begin" her blue uniform with the alliance logo stood out among all of them.

The priest began to pray, and soon the air began to be purified. It quickly changed from red to it's usual transparent state.

Tap.

Naru stepped besides Mai.

the brunette blinked but simply sighed at his nonchalant action. she was already used to it.

"do you require blood?" she offered her arm for him to bite it.

"No" Naru glared at her and walked towards the van. "finish this"

"yes sir" she grabbed the microphone and communicated that the removal was over.

the brunette couldn't help but smile. She was supposed to be Naru's blood supply but she was instead treated as an assistant.

She didn't mind, actually she was quite happy. It was better than her previous job, she used to disarm bombs due to her innate nature to sense danger. Although at that time she was mistreated and overused like a tool not to mention she was without proper pay.

plop*

Mai began to clean up the equipment as she remembered how she met Naru, or better said how she discovered his true identity.

...

The alliance had sent SPR to her school to remove the evil spirits on the old building.

She was on her final year and was returning home as classes were over, when she saw a black haired teen standing in front of the old building. he was blanking out staring at the old windows

At that time Mai simply walked pretending not to see him when suddenly, she felt a chill. Her instincts kicked in and before she knew it, she had saved the teen from falling to his death.

There was a whole beneath him. At first the boy simply blinked and then his face instantly turned to annoyance.

"..."

Of course, Mai didn't care and simply stood up and cleaned herself, she was about to continue walking, but there was a silver name tag near her feet.

'Oliver Davis' it said 'vampire, quarter of a human' was written there.

She realized it was his identification tag. She knew foreigners that weren't human were given this.

shrugging she simply picked it up and gave it to him. He stared at her with a poker face.

turning around she attempted to leave but a hand on her shoulder prevented her from doing so.

"you're coming with me"

"no"

"you don't have a choice"

"you can't make me"

"don't you know who I am?"

"what if I don't care?"

"so you know"

"there's no way I wouldn't know"

that's right, He was the famous Oliver Davis. it was the most shocking name on the history of vampires. why you ask? He doesn't necessarily need to always drink blood, food could satisfy him and he had an amazing reputation as a paranormal hunter. Kids these days wanted to be him.

His birth was even recorded on history. It was due to him being born with a twin human brother. His father was a very high ranking vampire while his mother was a human Psychic user. it was pretty novel.

However due to an accident his twin brother Eugene died, he used to be a powerful psychic user like their mother but humans have limits. Oliver Davis had disappeared since then.

The media made a fuss about it. This world was weird after all. Yokai, ghost, spirits, hybrids you name it, they exist. But unlike the fantasy genre, magic and aura doesn't exist. In turn, humans have psychic powers and some religions even grants them skills.

"if you know then the more reason you need to come with me"

"I don't want to, I could care less about you"

the teen flinched but smirked, his fang was showing slightly.

"you have no protection, no skills and your psychic abilities are useless right now"

"are you threatening me?"

"yes"

"I just saved your life"

"I wouldn't have died from that, you know how vampire regeneration works right?"

"I thought you were human"

"a mistake you made"

"just so you know I have no money, so don't get big ideas"

"that's good to know "

Mai growled as she let herself be dragged to a van behind the old building.

"Lin"

...

And that's how she was made to sign a slave like contract under the disguise of a job offer.

Blood suppliers were humans who had willingly or under any monetary agreement agreed to provide blood to a vampire.

To avoid misconduct or illegal transactions, the society of human rights requested to have short contracts with the duration of a year, once the year passes the human decides wether to continue or not providing blood.

Humans under this contract are treaded well and are often protected from any harm under both vampire and human society so is not frowned upon them

Yokai even go as far as to avoid contact with them, that's why after a few months Mai was happy to have this opportunity and willingly offered her blood to Naru but he refused.

The only blood Naru had ever drank was from his brother.

Vampires have to brand their blood suppliers in order to drink their blood but the twins never had this issue, they were initially one so even the bite effects of the fangs didn't affect them.

among the usual effects is the aphrodisiac one that occurs when the bite is on the neck, it affects both the vampire and the human. It is used when the human is unable to produce enough blood. The second most common is the kiss bite which charms the human and provides satisfaction to the vampire, this is most often used to stop vampire frenzy. the bite on the arm is a bit painful but is the only one where the human is not affected and the vampire can calm his hunger. This is the preferred one among blood suppliers.

Mai cleaned the sweat off her forehead. She had finished packing up.

You may be wondering, how do humans become vampires then? well it can only happen if all circumstances are met:

1. Both, the human and vampire should agree to the conversion.

2. The human, after being bit has to drink the blood of the vampire that branded them

3. Part of the lifespan of the vampire will be shared with their branded human.

4. The vampire has to have drank the human's blood for over a year.

5. The human needs to be alive

Most humans as shocking as it may sound, refuse to become vampires, if converted they loose their psychic powers and the thought of giving up on food prevents them to do so, but even if they don't convert to vampires, the humans and vampires can still have children.

It is hard to get pregnant though, they should mate until the human feels the energy of the fetus.

it is easier if a vampire and vampire give birth than to cross races but there's still cases that want that to happen but as previously mentioned it is hard. Humans have low stamina after all.

vampires are similar to humans with only a few differences. 1. they live long life spans, 2. full vampires can only drink blood but it can be from any creature, 3. they are strong and agile, 4. they can recuperate and regenerate cut off limbs and 5. they feel cold.

they can use mirrors, they don't care about garlic and can walk under the sun.

Now Humans can fly with telekinesis, move objects and some even have healing like abilities so although it may be weird to an extent, humans are not inferior to vampires at all.

You could say they are equal. However both of them are allies instead of enemies, the reason is, Yokai and spectres are everywhere and they harm both races indiscriminately, they also multiply quickly which is a pain to deal with.

Yokai are easier to control with brute force but spectres are harder, psychic users and religion like skills are needed for these. So Vampires handle the Yokai and humans or hybrids handle the spectres.

spectres are those that have no physical bodies and can be spirits, ghost, blobs, and the like.

leaving all this information aside, this world is a mess and has been barely surviving thanks to the alliance made thousand years ago. No one knows what happened on how or why the spectres and Yokai exist, that's why groups like ours do research as we remove spectres and report to the alliance or have a member like Masako accompany us.

Masako Hara is a medium that works directly on the human alliance, she can identify spirits, they are rare even on humans that's why they are dispatched only when a group is strong enough to protect them.

But to be honest our group is pretty strong

Lin kōujo which is the one with an eye covered by his hair is an onmyouji. We have Ayako Matsuzaki a Miko, John brown a priest and Takigawa Hōshō a monk. We also have a very dependable research team, one is Osamu Yasuhara whose clairvoyance is outstanding and Madoka Mori, a vampire and Naru's teacher.

As surprising as it may be, Lin is also Naru's teacher, additionally he is Madoka's partner, meaning they are going out. He also provides her with his blood but is not under a contract but relationship.

A chill suddenly passed through her back as the van was moving towards a cross section.

"Lin-san the breaks please!"

without doubting her, he slammed the breaks and turned on the warning lights on the vehicle

A Yokai suddenly slammed his body down in front of them. It was big but it quickly stood up and ran away from the Yokai watch police that was pursuing him

with shiny eyes Mai turned to look at Naru with expecting eyes.

"bonus"

"yay! thank you!"

Lin sighed and began to drive again, he couldn't remember how many times the girl had saved them so far. The equipment as well, they had previously lost countless of tapes and money due to repairs but after she joined they managed to save quite a lot

Fires, blackout, earth quakes, Yokai, spectres you name it, she had warned them and avoided the materials from being destroyed.

...

it's been a week since then, nothing major had happened, no cases and the like. So Mai cleaned the office to the best of her abilities making it quite shiny.

it's been over 8 months since she started working here, and as per Lin's input Naru didn't drink blood for over a year, so she was told to remain by his side as much as possible which she didn't mind...

"Mai tea!"

scratch that, she did mind when he asked quite a lot of times for tea. He was quite annoying too, because he was rude... he was quite a handful

"ok!"

But the pay was good, really good to be exact, she could buy many things now and she didn't mind renewing the contract, although of course the fact that Naru could have a go at her body still worried her but she was 19 it was bound to happen if she got a boyfriend.

She had graduated from high school last month, she needed to decide what to do with her life now...

But would she like Naru to do it? mmm I guess he has a good face, body and smell. If it was necessary and he was good at it she wouldn't mind but only if necessary, if possible she wanted to do it because she wanted to and not because of a clause in the contract.

yup vampires sometimes needed to stimulate the human to produce enough blood and to do that they needed to excite them, the vampire does it mostly by instinct and the causes may vary but among them, humans lacked vitamins, or nutrients that made them unable to satisfy the thirst for blood.

that's why humans agree to provide consent on the contract, the vampire under thirst can't control themselves when they have branded the human.

"Naru your tea"

"come in"

she set down the tray, and was about to leave when a chill ran down her back.

Naru was reading a file, he raised an eyebrow when Mai suddenly turned around and pulled her sleeve up.

"blood"

"No" he glared at her

"Naru-"

"No" he growled

"dangerous"

"N- What?"

"you're dangerous" Mai used the hand sanitizer to clean her arm

he stood up, something was wrong his heart was beating too fast...

"what?"

"blood withdrawal" Mai answered instinctively

"my pills-"

"won't work, May cause frenzy" the brunette came closer to him "bite, or I will slash it up"

"sh*t"

he brushed his hair back, his eyes had turned red.

"hurry"

"..." Naru grimaced

"I'm fine, it's my job "

he grabbed her arm reluctantly and slowly a mark was made on the back of her neck. Naru had branded her as soon as his fangs pierced the skin of her arm.

"ugh" Mai kept her complain low

suck* suck*

Naru's eyes shut close, her blood was too sweet but it wasn't enough, he needed more. Abstaining had backfired him.

he licked her arm, her wound healed...

her eyes widened when she understood what that meant, she began to open her shirt but Naru's hand touched her lips instead.

She stopped and nodded, it was safer this way. She bit her lower lip and Naru instantly leaned in to kiss her as soon as blood came out.

She felt the desk behind her, the rusty taste of blood and his tongue interlacing with her's gave her goosebumps.

She responded to the kiss, it felt good, was this what they meant by being charmed?

His heart began to settle down, it felt good, too good, he wanted more.

his hand grabbed the back of her head and brought her body closer to him.

His other hand began to open her shirt.

He let go of her lips, his eyes were still red, although he was satisfied he wanted more.

Mai simply exposed her neck to him.

his hand pulled her hair out of her neck.

Naru's eyes narrowed down as his pulse quickened once again.

She heard the door close and the sound of the lock clicking in. Naru had done this, as he had a quarter of human within him, he had a degree of psychic powers.

She shivered once his breath brushed her neck.

"I won't hurt you" his deep voice sent shivers through her body

Mai nodded, the charm was still on, she felt like she was watching his every movement under a sexy like filter.

it made her heart beat faster and her cheeks stained red

'is this what they meant by exciting the human?'

she swallowed hard, he licked her neck

"eek"

Mai squeaked as she felt his fangs piercing her neck.

"ah" she felt a wave of pleasure then

her arms surrounded him in a hug like action and he used that to bring her body closer to him and away from the desk.

Naru's hand went down her back towards her bottom.

he squeezed her once, then began to dive into the crack

She shivered this time more strongly. Naru instantly sucked more blood. It was addictive

his fingers reached her entrance and once more she shivered under his touch.

"oh"

suddenly he felt himself shiver under her moan and reason began to kick in, he returned to his previous path and Mai shivered one last time before he pulled his fangs out and licked her neck, the wound was gone.

"N-Naru?"

"I'm satisfied"

Mai smiled as Naru faced her, his eyes were back to normal

"you need vitamins"

"mmm can you be more specific?"

"go for a multi vitamin one. I was unable to tell"

"ok, can I take a nap? I think I'm still under the charm"

"charm?"

"yeah, you are throwing sparkles every time you move or talk"

"I see"

he picked her up and laid her on his couch

"I think I can walk by myself "

"no, I drank quite a bit. You may not feel it due to the charm. I will bring you something to drink, drink that and sleep"

"alright "

Naru went outside and bit his lips, the thirst was satisfied but he wanted to taste her more.

He frowned, unless necessary he should restraint himself but now that he had tasted her in order to avoid attacking her he needed to schedule in takes.

...

"are you awake?"

Naru asked when he saw her move

"yeah just woke up"

"how do you feel?"

"hungry"

Naru nodded and pointed out to the food on the table "that's yours"

"thank you, do you by any chance know when will the charm worn out?"

"is it still on?"

"yeah"

"probably until tomorrow"

"gotcha"

she nodded and began to eat the food in front of her, there were multiple plates ranging from meat and rice to soup and bread.

"I will probably need to drink your blood more often"

"ok, I will buy vitamins on my way home"

"is that all?"

"mm? yeah"

"I know it's under the contract but I almost ate you"

"I know, if you ever do it. Make it good, I won't regret it that way"

"what?"

"what? I'm a healthy 19 years old and I am curious too" Mai blushed as she glared at him

he blinked, and brushed his face dry.

"you don't have a lover? or saving yourself for marriage?"

"no and no, I will check compatibility first if I ever decide to marry"

"I am your boss"

"that's right and I'm your blood supplier"

"do you cherish yourself?"

"are you telling me you are bad at it?"

".."

"I'm telling you already all i care about is, if it will feel good or if it will hurt"

"..."

"so are you good at it?"

"I haven't done it either"

"I see, it felt good, what you did"

"the charm definitely makes you more honest "

"is because you aren't glaring at me or being a jerk"

"..."

"sooo how often will you drink my blood?"

"twice a week probably"

"okay I will eat tons"

... few days later...

"where would you drink from?"

"arm"

'ok"

she pulled her sleeve up, this time Naru didn't hesitate and went for it.

She closed her eyes.

suck*

again his eyes narrowed.

he licked the arm and turned to look at her.

"um neck?"

he nodded as he pulled the scarf off her neck.

she closed her eyes again, glad that they were skipping the charm.

"oh"

goosebumps traveled through her legs. without the charm, this felt more intense.

his hand sneakily went inside her shirt.

as soon as the bra was opened, the hand grabbed her chest.

Suddenly Mai felt hot, her place was itchy, her clothes felt bothersome

"mmm"

Naru bit harder then, as soon as he heard her.

"ah" she grabbed his clothes and held on to them like a lifeline.

her legs trembled.

Naru smirked as he licked her neck but blinked when he looked at her face.

"Mai?"

"I- I can't keep standing" as if it was a warning, her legs gave up.

With fast reflexes he grabbed her and sat her on the couch

"what's wrong?"

"my body feels hot"

"certainly... your blood definitely felt richer than last time... this may be due to the vitamins, your body now has enough energy to react"

"ugh, it wasn't because we skipped the charm then?"

"I don't think placing the charm would be a good idea"

"...really?"

"you want to?"

"...it felt good"

his heart began to beat faster again.

"I am telling you now, you were branded by me, if you tell me such things I will want to do it, this is done by instinct so be careful when you talk"

his eyes turned red and his teeth sank on her lips then parted to pull out her tongue.

"um"

her body shuddered with excitement

Naru groaned* he wanted more. His hand slid up from her ankle towards her tights.

he stroke her and just then both of them groaned.

Naru stepped back, both were panting

"the order matters, why on earth was this not explained" Mai fanned herself in an attempt to cool herself

"probably on purpose"

"what"

"if humans knew, it wouldn't be exciting"

"oh" Mai nodded, and avoided his eyes

"what?"

"remember I told you, you were throwing sparkles last time?"

Naru nodded

"I see some sort of filter around you now, like your eyes and lips are for me to focus. It feels like, it is telling me to go to you"

"what nonsense is that?"

"you tell me, aren't you the vampire?"

he took a thinking pose

"as far as I know it depends on the receptor"

"what?"

"in other words the charm works differently for everyone, you seem to be weak against visual attacks"

she groaned "oh wait I also have a different weakness why isn't it happening?"

his scientist self couldn't help but inquire

"what is it?"

"smells, I like smells"

"definitely animal like preferences' Naru murmured

"I didn't hear you, did you say something- oh your eyes turned red" she pointed out

"what?"

"oh you smell so good now, awesome. Was that on purpose?"

"no, but it's interesting that my body reacted to your preferences"

"would that mean you will be good at it?"

"Dam* it, Mai!"

Naru scolded as he glared at her, he suddenly began to feel excited

"wait! why?! we talked about it last time too- ah"

Edit: fixed the "am" to I am or I'm

hahahaha cliffy xD

see you, soon
