The air was filled with smoke, ember's from the nearby fire drifting through the air. In the middle of all this chaos stood a lone boy, no older than six.

His blonde hair was caked with soot, and his blue eyes filled with shock and terror as he watched the village around him burn, explosions could be heard around him.

He didn't pay them any mind though. His eyes were glued in a single direction, where a giant nine-tailed fox was destroying his home. His father went to stop it, but he wasn't sure if he could.

It's not that he didn't believe in his strength, but how do you beat… that? He watched as one of its tails flung to the left destroying a home. It then seemed to recoil in pain and face a direction away from the village.

"Naruto!" A voice rang out from his left. But like everything else around him, he ignored it. "Naruto! What are you doing?" A hand landed on his shoulder forcing him to look at the person the voice belonged to.

It was the 11-year-old Anko, she'd recently been hired by his father as additional help around the house. "A-Anko?" He questioned.

"Yes, it's me. What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be home right now?"

"But Dad is fighting the monster, and Mom isn't home. Do you know where she's at?" He asked concern evident in his voice.

"She said she would give birth to your younger sister in private, then all this happened. I haven't seen her since they left a few hours ago." She answered also worried.

"Oh…" He said tears threatening to escape his eyes. "Do you think they're okay?" He asked looking into Anko's eyes.

Anko didn't know how to answer, how do you answer that question? "I-I don't know." She finally replied. "But that doesn't matter right now, we need to get you inside."

"No!" Naruto said almost yelling. "If Mom and Dad are in danger I need to help them!" Without speaking any further, with a new resolve he sprinted in the direction of the destructive fox.

"Naruto! Wait!" Anko screamed as she began after him.

xxx Meanwhile With Minato xxx

Minato wasn't having a good night. It was going fine all the way up until after his wife gave birth to their daughter, then a masked man barged in and ruined everything. Kidnapping and threatening his daughter's life and after Minato rescued her the man followed it up by kidnapping his wife next.

He then had to fight the man, who swiftly retreated but not before unleashing the 9-tails fox upon the village. Now he had to face an angry bijuu with Sharingan eyes? Combine that with the masked man who suddenly gained more confidence and it's a deadly and annoying combo.

What's worse his wife was on the sidelines holding their daughter unable to move to escape, at any moment they could be hit and killed. He needed to end this quickly, but the only option was one he really didn't want to do.

Seal the 9-tails into his newborn daughter and place a heavy burden on her young shoulders. But he didn't have a choice, the safety of the many outweigh the few and it's not like her life would be bad, she'd have her older brother. Minato knew that he and his wife weren't going to make it out of this alive.

She'd die sooner or later since having a bijuu removed from your body is always fatal, and he'd have to die sealing the fox into their daughter. 'Well, no point in thinking about it. I just have to do it.' Minato thought to himself. He summoned a ceremonial altar to place their daughter on.

"Hakke no Fūin Shiki (Eight Trigrams Sealing Style)!" Minato yelled while flying through hand seals, he proceeded to seal the fox into their daughter before collapsing… dead.

Kushina, with the remaining strength, crawled over to her daughter and deceased husband and cradled the young infant in her arms when a voice rang out in front of her. "Mom?" the voice of her son hit her ears. She looked at him as he fell to his knees.

"N-Naruto!" She choked out, happy yet sad to see her son staring at her with those sorrow-filled eyes. "C-Come here q-quick!" she managed to squeak out. Naruto dutifully moved closer. "I'm sorry, my son. But your F-Father and I aren't g-going to m-make it out of this f-fight, take your s-sister and k-keep her s-safe." she said barely conscious.

Naruto numbly took his younger sister into his arms. "W-What?" he asked tears now flowing freely.

"K-Keep your sister safe…Her n-name is Mito, I n-need you to p-promise me you'll k-keep her safe." she said nearly demanding it.

Naruto only nodded solemnly, before standing. "I l-love you, Mom." he said still crying, he began to walk away. Before his mother's voice stopped him.

"W-wait, N-Naruto." He turned to look at her. "I-I know y-you must b-be angry w-with the fox, b-but don't b-blame it. A m-masked man is r-responsible, h-he c-controlled the f-fox." She stated her stutter growing worse.

"What?" Naruto asked pissed yet confused.

"I-I w-was w-watching t-the f-fight. The f-foxes eyes were those of S-Sharingans, o-only Uchiha's have t-those eyes." she stuttered.

"Well, I'm going to find that man and make him pay. I promise." He said with conviction.

Kushina smiled a sad smile "J-Just don't l-let hatred c-consume you." she stated.

Naruto only nodded before saying goodbye and rushing off toward the Namikaze estate, blowing by Anko who had just arrived on the scene. She didn't even hesitate to follow him since she saw the baby he was holding and knew that it could only mean one thing.

"N-Naruto! Wait up, where are we going?"

Naruto didn't answer for a moment, choosing to focus on getting back to the estate without being noticed "We're leaving the village." he stated after a few ANBU leaped over their hiding place.

"What!?" Anko nearly screamed not believing what she just heard.

"The person who attacked and killed my parents knows that we are in this village. So we are going to leave it and escape to my dad's secret training base, where we'll live and get stronger before returning." he stated matter of factly.

Anko couldn't help but be impressed at how this was coming from a six-year-old. But she guessed seeing your father dead and watching your mother die would cause you to grow up fast. "How long will we be gone?" she asked genuinely wanting to know.

"I don't know, maybe 10 or 12 years. Long enough to get both of us as strong as possible, along with Mito." He said quietly while they waited for a couple of Shinobi to pass.

"Makes sense." Anko said with her hand under her chin. "In 12 years you'd be 18, I'd be 23, and Mito'd be… Well, 12." she said with a chuckle.

"Yes, and if everything goes well Mito will be able to use all of the 9-tails chakra." he said with his hand also under his chin.

"What? All of its power?" Anko asked stupefied.

"That's the plan, however, I refuse the let my little sister rely solely on the fox inside her. So we're going to the estate to pack up everything. From clothes to scrolls to food." he stated.

"So? We're leaving nothing behind in the village? Even money?" she said with a cheeky grin.

Naruto sweat dropped for a second before regaining himself. "Yes, even the money."

I did a small edit with this chapter, changing the (Meanwhile With Minato) to my normal (xxx Meanwhile With Minato xxx), hope the change makes it slightly better, alright, love ya!
