I was having an average day until I got attacked and kidnapped. Well, an average day for me anyway. I woke up in a monotone room with grey walls. I was on my back, laying down on a pretty comfortable bed. At the far end of the room, was a bulky door with a keypad next to it. The room was like a hospital room, silent and chilling.

I had been placed nicely on the bed, and I imagined that I had looked almost peaceful sleeping. I carefully examined the room I was in and noticed a small camera in the upper right corner of the room. I looked up at it and smirked. I'd let them figure out what that meant.

I stood up from the bed, but before I could do anything else, I heard the door hiss open. I turned around and scowled at the now familiar face.

"Hello Ms. Damaris, we have some questions for you."

Confused? Let me back up a little. Hi, my name is Cassandra Damaris. I am a demigod, daughter of Aphrodite. I am 14 years old and go to Camp-Halfblood, like most demigods. I only stay at camp for the summer, because I go home for the school year. Unlike most of the other campers, I am on good terms with my father and don't stay year round. Recently though, my father has taken a girlfriend. Before you ask, no she is not the devil incarnate. Despite popular opinion about stepmothers/almost-stepmothers, Amber is really nice.

I had been one month in on my second summer at Camp Half-Blood. I found out I was a demigod last year. It was an interesting way to start the summer, to say the least. I then started going to camp at the beginning of last summer. I was immediately thrown into the middle of the war against Gaea. I quickly adjusted to life around camp and survived the war.

Like most of my siblings, I am quite attractive. I have light skin, dark black hair, full pink lips, and dark piercing blue eyes. My cheeks are rosy and I wear very little makeup. Only a little bit of mascara, lip gloss, and some concealer.

My day started out like any other day, training and hanging out with my friends. I know you may be biased and think Aphrodite girls can not fight, but this one can.

Ever since my cabin counselor, Piper, came back after the war, many girls in the cabin have been following her example and learning how to fight. I prefer to fight with two daggers. The Hephaestus cabin made me two daggers made of celestial bronze, and two leather holsters for the daggers on my forearms. My daggers are named omorfiá and and agápi, beauty and love.

Despite the fact that I was really good with my daggers, I was sidelined when Gaea invaded the camp last year. I worked in the healing tent and learned that I had a knack for healing. I was not as good as some of the Apollo kids, but I was better than mortals. I learned some chants and songs to heal people, and could diagnose an injury pretty well.

I am also gifted with charm speak, like Drew and Piper. I got my charmspeak when I was 10. I am excellent at controlling it, almost as good as Piper.

Anyways, it had been a pretty ordinary week at camp. We'd played capture the flag the other night and my cabin was paired with the Athena cabin. Naturally, we won. I had taken down two Ares children and three Hermes children, I was pretty proud. I was so tired after capture the flag, I immediately went to bed after the campfire.

I woke up at 9:00 the next morning, ready to start my day. I brushed my teeth and washed my face before putting on some light make-up. I let my silky black wavy hair fall down, past my shoulders. My hair was fairly long, going down a little bit past my shoulder blades. I got dressed into my orange camp half blood shirt and some jean shorts before going to eat breakfast. On the way there, I tied the front of my shirt into a small knot, making the shirt cropped.

Lacy and Piper were the only ones at my table, for the rest of the cabin needed their "beauty sleep". As I walked over, I listened in on their conversation.

"Stupid Asgardians!" Piper huffed as she rolled her eyes. I sat down and raised an eyebrow.

"Ummm what are you talking bout Piper?" I questioned.

"You haven't heard?" Lacy exclaimed, obviously surprised.

"No," I replied, "after capture the flag I went to bed early." All of the gossip usually happens after the campfire. I didn't really care for gossip like my sisters did, so I didn't really care if I missed out. The only thing I have in common with my sisters is my love of fashion and my looks.

"Oh yeah, I forgot!" Lacy said. "It's a kind of long story though."

I shrugged. "I have time." Piper and Lacy then took turns telling me about the so called "Avengers" that saved the city from aliens. They went on to say that we demigods couldn't have helped out because we couldn't interfere with the other pantheon.

"Wait a minute," I interrupted, "what other pantheon? There are more?"

Piper sighed and shook her head. "That's what I said," she muttered. "It was all well and good that the Avengers saved the day bu-"

"-But they have an Asgardian god on their team!" Lacy shouted, interrupting. Piper shot Lacy a glare and Lacy giggled nervously. "Sorry!" she apologized.

"At this point, I'm not even that surprised." I sighed. "But wait, I'm a little...lost," I said slowly. "How is that a bad thing?"

"Well," Piper said apprehensively, "now that the mortals know about the Asgardians... the mist has...well...kind of been weakened."

After she blurted out the last part, I just froze, shocked. "But..but..huh?" To be honest, I relied on the mist a lot. I had a natural talent to minipulate it to cover my tracks in the mortal world.

"Don't worry though, the Hecate kids are working on it," Lacy said reassuringly.

I was about to reply, probably with more intelligent stuttering, when the rest of the Aphrodite cabin arrived, gossiping about the newest camp relationship. I forced it out of my mind for now and stood up with my plate in my hands. I walked over to the fire and pushed a piece of sausage and some eggs into the fire.

"Aphrodite," I whispered.

I walked back to my table and I ate breakfast while listening and talking to my cabin mates. I heard Drew boasting about how she had finally broken so and so's heart and blah blah blah. Once I was done eating, I left the table and went on to start my day.

I went about the next few hours normally, briefly forgetting about what I'd learned that morning. I climbed the lava wall a couple of times, practiced my healing, and practiced with my daggers. I had lunch somewhere in between my activities. Anyhow, I was on my way to dinner when Lacy ran up behind me.

"Cassie!" she called. For some reason, she had rainbow hair that looked hair sprayed up in spikes.

I turned around and scrunched my eyesbtows together, "Oh... hey Lacy! What's with the..." I gestured to her hair. "Wait, no, let me guess. Fashion statement?" I joked.

"Haha very funny" she glared her eyes. "More like a run in with the Hermes Cabin. I swear I'm gonna kill the Stolls!" Lacy rolled her eyes. "Anyways, Chiron wants to see you in the big house!"

"Oh ok." I replied back, my smile failing me. "See you later!" I hollered as she ran off. I sighed and trudged over to the big house. I'd already been through a war, and I didn't need anymore excitement. I inhaled deeply as I strolled past the strawberry fields, the delicious scent of strawberry filling my nose. I passed the archery range and other campers as I waved hello and greeted them.

Once I reached the big house, I walked up the steps of the porch and slowly opened the door not knowing at all what I would be getting myself into.
