Chapter 1: Screams in the Night

Twenty-nine-year-old Noah and his wife, Quinn Puckerman, were waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of Kurt Anderson's ringtone on Noah's cell phone. When he answered the call, he heard Blaine say, "Liza Marie, run! Get out of here! Go to Uncle Puck's house!"

He soon heard Kurt scream before Blaine said, "Let him go, you son of a bitch!"

Then he hears the voice of Azimio say, "Die faggots!" before the call drops.

Soon Noah is in his truck heading to Kurt's house when he sees a naked three-year-old Liza Marie Anderson in the middle of the road. When he stopped, he opened his driver's side door. Liza Marie gets scared and pees on herself out of fear before Noah says, "Liza Marie, it's Uncle Nono. Don't be scared; I've got you, Princess." Then Noah picks her up before grabbing his duffle bag and taking out a t-shirt plus his son's underwear. Then he helps Liza Marie put them on before putting her in his son's car seat and driving to Kurt's house.

When he pulls up, Burt Hummel pulls up behind him, and his wife Carole Hummel gets Liza Marie as Burt says, "Puck, we were on our way here already when we got a call."

Then Blaine runs out of the house naked and bloody, along with Dave Karofsky, and says, "Z tried to kill Kurt and Boss. He's headed to Santana's and blaming Kurt for his daughter being gay. She is five and came out as a transgender boy."

Dave looks at Burt before saying, "Z's parents took custody of him and accepted him. They were the ones that told us about him."

After this, Quinn calls Noah, saying, "I'm at the hospital. Brittany called me. Santana is in a coma. Z is arrested for raping Brittany and attempting to kill Santana. I know about Kurt and Boss." Before Noah can respond to Quinn, he hears screaming and gunshots, and then the call drops.

Soon Noah finds himself pulling up to the hospital, and Burt is in his passenger seat. As they pulled up, they noticed that the police had surrounded the hospital. Then they see Azimio walking out while holding Quinn and hear him say, "Puck, I know you are here with Mr. Hummel! Let's make a trade, Quinn, for Mr. Hummel!" Before Noah could respond, Azimio was shot by a sniper. Then Quinn was in Noah's arms, crying.

In the morning, Noah was standing by Liza Marie's hospital bed. Carole had brought her in with Dave and Blaine. Soon, Santana is brought in on a gurney, and Blaine is in a hospital gown, sitting between the beds. Then he says, "It was Liza Marie's idea to call you. Z has tried to kill us several times, but the cops wouldn't do anything to protect us. Liza Marie called Santana last time because you were overseas. After the last attack, I made you and Quinn Liza Marie's godparents. Well, Liza Marie begged me to. She thinks you are like the Hulk, and Quinn is like the Black Widow. Kurt is in a coma, but the hospital won't let me see him. Dave saved us from Z, and Liza Marie tried to fight him off. She has been weightlifting since she was a baby. Kurt nicknamed her She-Puck because she acts a lot like you."

Noah chuckles before saying, "Mr. H sent me a video last week of her bench pressing a hundred pounds, and I almost choked on my coffee when I saw that. I asked him how long she had been doing that, and he didn't know. He tried to help her put the barbell back and almost threw out his back. Then he lied to Kurt about it so he wouldn't have a fit over it."

They soon heard Burt say, "If I told him the truth about it, I'd never hear the end of it. By the way, Blaine, you can see Kurt now. Your dad and I talked to the hospital administrators about the situation. As Liza Marie would say, I went all Hulk on them. Even Santana's mom, Mirabel, yelled at them for Brittany, who hasn't been able to visit Santana either." Then Quinn comes in, wheeling Brittany in a wheelchair, and as soon as she sees Santana, she breaks down.

Later, when Noah is alone with Liza Marie and Santana, He looks at Liza Marie and says, "Little She-Hulk, you need to wake up here because I doubt your Papa wants to lose you or your Dada here. Show Z just how tough you are."

Then he looks at Santana before telling Liza Marie, "Squirt, you are my best friend here, and I don't want to lose another best friend. I lost your Uncle Finn. There is no way I am losing you too. That goes for your Auntie Tana, too. You both need to fight here." After he says this, he sees that they both opened their eyes, and he goes to get a nurse.

After Kurt woke up and got released, Noah and Quinn have Kurt and Blaine move in with them. One day, Noah is a spotter for Liza Marie as she uses his weight bench when Junior walks in and says, "Liza is strong, Dada!"

Kurt soon comes into the room and says to Junior, "I think someone likes Liza Marie," before Junior blushes and runs out of the room.

Noah chuckles at this and says, "It's not her that he likes, Kurt. Haven't you noticed how Junior acts when you're around? Since you moved in, Junior has been staring at you the same way you would stare at Finn. Even Liza Marie and Blaine noticed it. Quinn, on the other hand, refuses to believe it."

Then Noah puts his weights back as Liza Marie says, "I heard Junior fight with Papa earlier when he said, "Kurty Pretty, love Kurty." Ha, I think Queenie doesn't want Uncle Puck to be like Grandpa Burt was before he met Nana Carole."

Soon they hear Quinn and Blaine yelling at each other before Blaine screams, "Oh, God, Quinn, I'm sorry! Puck, Quinn had a heart attack!" As Blaine dials 911, Noah rushes into the room, followed by Kurt and Liza Marie.

When Quinn woke up, she saw Blaine with Kurt and started crying. She kept trying to speak, but Kurt only heard severely slurred speech. Then Kurt gets a doctor, and Quinn learns she had a stroke. Noah was soon yelling, "I'm not your dad, Kurt! I'm not losing Quinn. Do you hear me? I may have a son like you, but I'm not like your dad! I'm not giving up on Quinn!"

Soon, Noah was walking up to her as Burt and Carole had their arms around him. Then Quinn looked at Burt as she took Noah's hand and said, "I'm not going. I'm not her! Nono, hear me? Son, like Kurt! Who cares, Nono? You are, Burt! I'm staying, okay? Watching like a hawk! Carole will help! Tana will help! Burt, talk alone." Burt had to pry Noah's hand from Quinn's as Noah started to sob.

Then Quinn says, "Kurt, tell me, you retired. I know. Bought, shop and came back. Give Nono a job, okay? He has guns, as you claimed. Plus, more, Burt. Don't borrow when, Liza, teenager!"

And Blaine says, "Does that go for me too, Quinn? Kurt took Junior and Liza Marie home, and Puck went with them. He wanted me to stay so Burt wouldn't be in the bed beside you. By the way, my parents met yours. According to my mom, your mom is planning to ruin Puck's life more." Quinn then gives her phone to Burt as she squeezes his hand.

Burt was about to call Judy when they heard Noah yell, "You are not taking my son from me, and I'm not signing this!"

Then there was a pause before Noah yelled, "Kurt being my friend didn't confuse Junior, and he is not being sent to hell! I'm not signing anything! Quinn is still my wife, and Junior is my son! I'm not handing him over to you, and what makes you think Quinn will come with you? I'm not signing those divorce papers, and I don't care about some court order! That's my family, and I'm not giving them up! Now you can take that paper and shove it up your ass!"

Then Russell screams, "My nose!" Before, Noah walks up to Quinn's bed and lowers the rail.

He soon lay down beside her as Burt left. Then Burt yells, "You have no right to come here and try to take Puck's family from him! My in-laws were just like you, and I almost lost Kurt. Puck may not be my son by blood, but I will tell you the same thing I told you when Quinn was pregnant with Beth. He is still my son, and that is his family! Puck is not that guy anymore and doesn't deserve this! I accept Junior and will fight for him like I fought for Kurt!"

Quinn looks at Blaine and says to Noah, "Nono, I'm glad you're straight! Don't tell Kurt about that. I don't need him there." Then she points to the bed beside her, and they all laugh.

When Quinn was put in a hospital room, Burt came to see her and said, "Blaine is playing referee with Puck and Kurt. Kurt pissed us off by saying something he shouldn't have said about you."

Then Quinn screams, "I'm not her! Call Kurt now!"

Burt calls Kurt, and they hear his cell phone go off before he enters Quinn's hospital room. Quinn throws a vase of roses at Kurt before screaming, "I'm not your mom!" Her speech was a tad better, but she still had a rasp.

As Noah walks in with Junior in his arms, Quinn says, "Kurt, Junior is just four. He doesn't need you to scare him. I'm not dead yet, Kurt! It's bad enough that I'm here! This was my real fear, Kurt! I didn't want this, Kurt! Yeah, Junior is gay. Yeah, Nono is Burt. But take a look at me, Kurt! I can't walk anymore! Look at my right hand! I can't move it, Kurt. I just peed myself, Kurt! You know what? Go! Get out of here! Nono, take Junior out! I want Burt here!"

Noah chuckles and whispers to Burt, "Elizabeth's diary was in that box of Finn's things. Ha, Blaine is the only other person who knows, and he is glad Kurt hasn't found it yet. I'll be back when she's asleep."

Then Junior says, "Mama's acting like Tana. She needs a nap!" Kurt and Noah tried to stifle their laughter as they left.

Quinn looks out the window as she says to Burt, "I wish Z had killed me now. I didn't tell Nono, this. I'm pregnant again, Burt. I was told to abort it."

Then she shows Burt some pills on her tray table before saying, "I know about the diary. So does my mom. She won't back down. Keep fighting for us. She hired Z, Burt! Do you understand me?"

Burt hears Judy yell, "Russell, she's lying! She doesn't know what she is saying!"

Then Russell yells, "No, she's not! He was planning to kill Quinn because you didn't pay him! If the cops hadn't tricked him into thinking Burt was at the hospital the whole time! She would be dead right now! I'm done! I want a divorce!"

Russell soon walks in with Norah and Sarah Puckerman. Norah hugs Quinn and says, "I'll be right back, Quinn."

As Norah walks out of the room, she yells, "Junior is my grandson too, Judy, and I accept him! I regret telling Puck to give up Beth every day! Now you want to take Junior from him? You know what? I'm done being your friend, and if you try to take my grandchild, again! You will be the one regretting it. Now, go!"

Then Norah enters, holding Liza Marie, before Kurt yells, "Do you know how scared Quinn is right now? She is afraid to leave Puck to be a single father to a child like me! She has seen every bruise I've ever gotten and helped me cover half of them. Liza Marie came close to being your granddaughter, and she is being bullied for having two dads! Puck is her best friend, and she is his. Puck is not known for expressing his feelings. Yet, he talked to my daughter since the night she was in a coma! She is the only person he will open up to more, and he hardly talks to anyone else about his true feelings. Because he knows she won't tell him things he doesn't want to hear."

Soon, Kurt walks in, followed by Noah, who picks up Liza Marie before falling to his knees, sobbing as he says, "I'm not Mr. H!" repeatedly.
