Tami waited for Eric to get home from practice, when he entered the door he found his girlfriend scrubbing the floor. "Tami? What did the floor do to you?" She stood up, she clearly had been crying. Eric rushed to her side, "Baby what's wrong?" She didn't say anything just shook her head, "It's nothing I'm fine." She was fiddling with the promise ring he gave her last year, "Tami it's not nothing you've been crying. You can tell me anything. Come sit with me." He took her hand leading her to the couch where she sat in his arms, "I'm just having a rough day." Eric pulled her closer to him, "Tell me all about this rough day." She smiled into his chest before breaking down into tears again, "Eric we messed up." He looked at her confused, "What do you mean?" She removed herself from his arms, "I have to show you something." She got up and walked to their bathroom, when she came out she had her hands behind her back. "Tami, you're scaring me what's wrong?"
She handed him the object in her hand, "Is this real?" He asked she nodded letting the tears fall to the floor. "You're pregnant? How? We've been so careful." Tami shook her head, "We haven't remember the night you won that game against TMU, we celebrated. We were in such a rush to get our hands on each other we must have forgot." Eric stood up facing his wife, "Tami, we will get through this together. I promise you. Whatever you decided I will be there for you." Tami pulled him into a hug, "Marry me?" He whispered in her ear, "What?" She said pulling herself away from him.
"Marry me, I love you Tami I want to marry you." She looked at the ring on her finger, "I don't want you to marry me just because I'm pregnant." He shook his head taking her hand in his, "I'm not marrying you because you're pregnant. I'm marrying you because I love you and I'm going to love you forever. Please just say yes." She pulled the ring off her finger, "Ask me again?" She handed him the ring and watched him get down on one knee, "Tami Lynn Hayes will you marry me?" She nodded letting him slip the ring on her finger, "Of course I'll marry you." Eric stood up pulling her into a kiss, his hand slid down to her stomach. "What do you want to do?" He said resting his hand on her stomach, "I want to keep it, it's our baby."
"Our baby I like the sound of that. I love you Tami, and I love you baby."
