Duck & Pony Tales

.

"WOO-OO!"

Author's Notes

Hey everyone, and welcome to my first and original double cartoon crossover, Duck & Pony Tales. A crossover fanfic of Ducktales (2017) and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I still hope you're big fans of these two hit animated shows.

A reminder that all the original characters belong and are owned by both Disney and Hasbro. I also want to give a special thanks to Matt Youngberg & Francisco Angones for creating Ducktales (2017), and Laura Faust for creating My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They created two memorable shows that we fans will never forget.

Normally I'm a huge Anime fan, but I have loved these two shows since I started watching them. These two animated shows were popular around the late 2010s. I love the characters, each one of their own personalities, behavior, and skills. It gave me a lot of thought, and I finally decided that these two shows with their characters should collide in this fanfic.

This fanfic story takes place after the series finale of both Ducktales (2017) and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Ensure you're up-to-date on how both stories end before reading this fanfic. Don't spoil yourself!

I hope you like this crossover. And feel free to review a comment and/or private message (PM) for any questions and improvements. More chapters will be published in the future.

With that said, please enjoy Duck & Pony Tales. Thanks! (Woo-oo!)

Prologue: Let Me Tell You a Tale

In a wonderful world where magical and mythical creatures roam, there lived a glorious kingdom near the cliffs and waterfalls consisting of griffins, dragons, hippogriffs, yaks, and, most of all, ponies. This luxurious place is called Canterlot, a sophisticated popular society full of expensive shops and high-class creatures. There is also a huge castle where a magical alicorn princess lives, ruling all over the land with peace and tranquility.

Inside the castle is a historic relic room where all artifacts and mystical objects are displayed for a museum exhibit. A pink female unicorn pony with a dawning sun image on her flank and wavy orange hair cleans every object to make every display case spotless. The unicorn also has friends, a young female kirin, a girly griffin, a male dragon, a puffy feminine hippogriff, a young male insect-like pony creature called a changeling, and a young manly yak. They are all placing artifacts in the cases and cleaning the room.

"There, just perfect," said the unicorn with a smile who cleaned a glass display.

"Always organized, Luster," said the griffin. "Just like your teacher."

"Of course. Organizing is the key to preparation and proper care for any task and job."

"Teacher's pet," the dragon whispered to the hippogriff. The hippogriff giggled in response.

"More like the tree's close apple," said the kirin in a tease.

"How's everything going, students?" Just then, the seven creatures heard a voice. They turned to the source, and appearing to the creatures was a big purple alicorn with long purple hime waving hair and a magenta six-point star on her flank. The big alicorn also wears a golden crown with the same six-point star on her head.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle," the changeling said and bowed, "please to meet you, your majesty."

"Guys, for the hundredth time. I'm just your teacher," Princess Twilight said, being a bit modest by her title.

"Sorry…, we're kind of seeing you as something superior," the dragon said bashfully.

"It's all right." The princess then looks around the room, seeing how all the artifacts are safely placed inside the display cases. "My, such great organization. You students sure know how to set up a great exhibit."

"Thanks, Princess Twilight," Luster happily replies to her mentor. "But we're not done just yet. We have a few more artifacts to put up before we're finished."

"There's no rush, Luster Dawn. Remember, slow and steady wins the race."

While Luster Dawn puts another artifact in a display case, the yak digs through the box containing the artifacts and relics. Just then, the yak found something and pulled it out of the box.

"Hey…, what this?" the yak asked.

Everybody heard the yak, and they all looked. The yak holds a shard made of sky-blue crystal with a yellow pointy tip. Luster and the other students don't know what it is, but Princess Twilight knows as she grins.

"I remember that piece," the Princess speaks to her students.

"You do?" Luster said with curiosity.

"Yes indeed. This shard is once a magical star created every thousand years. A powerful star that can let you travel to different worlds across the whole universe."

"The whole… universe?" the hippogriff wonders.

"What universe?" the yak questions.

"Oh, of course," Twilight said as she giggled in realization. "I tell what it is, but first, let me show something. And I hope you will like a good history lesson."

"Aw man," the dragon complained, "not another one. The last history lesson I learned was boring that I fell asleep with a pencil stuck in my nostrils."

"I understand, but this history lesson has a friendship lesson."

"It does?" the kirin wonders.

"Actually, this history story contains another lesson similar to friendship."

"What? Similar to friendship?" the griffin said in shock.

"But Princess," Luster said in concern, "What's another lesson besides friendship?"

"Now, now, students," Twilight speaks as she tries to calm her students, "Follow me, and I'll explain." The princess leads the way, and the students follow the alicorn princess. "Of course, friendship is the most magical power and gift any pony and creature would ever have. But there's another powerful magical thing that's just like friendship."

"And what might that be?" the changeling asks.

Just then, Princess Twilight stopped as everyone arrived at two large doors. The doors, however, have a magical barrier prohibiting anyone from entering the room.

"I'll explain that very soon," the Princess replies. "Since you've been very good students of mine, including you, Luster Dawn, I want to show you, young ones, that you are worthy to see this firsthand. This room is almost finished but is not yet ready to meet any creature. Until it's complete, you can see this room as a sneak peek."

"Ooo! What is it!? What is it!?" the hippogriff asked in excitement.

"I want to see! I want to see!" the yak happily and eagerly shouts.

Twilight Sparkle then used her longhorn and magic to disable the barrier and open the doors. Everyone stepped into the room. Once they did, the young creatures looked up and saw a huge statue of carved creatures. But the creatures on the statues don't look like ponies or anything like the princess and the students.

"Whoa, who are those guys?" the dragon asked in surprise.

"I have never seen any creature like that," the changeling noted.

"Are they… heroes or something?" Luster Dawn ponders.

"Yes indeed," Princess Twilight answers. "These creatures came from their world to ours, way before you became my student, Luster." The Princess then pulls out the shard to show to her students. "And this shard of the star is why they came to our world. They came to save not ours but theirs too. It's because of them, Equestria and I are pleased for them as our friendly heroes. And how much I learned about them."

The yak then asks, "Princess said there's history lesson about this?"

"Absolutely, but this history lesson is a long story. And I was planning to tell this story when this room is officially open on the first day for all creatures to come here."

Luster then speaks, "Um, Princess–"

"Luster, remember?"

"Oh! Yeah… I mean, Prof. Sparkle, I want to know more about them and your story with them. It is okay? I really want to know. They make me very curious."

"Yeah, I'm interested too," the dragon stated.

"I want to hear as well," the changeling said.

"Me too! Me too! Me too!" the kirin begged.

All the students eagerly want to hear the history story from Twilight. The princess is a little surprised, but she smiles. She's delighted with her students.

"All right then, every pony," Princess Twilight speaks, "grab something to sit on, and I'll tell you."

The students found soft objects for them to sit on, and the princess magically summons her comfy royal pillow for her to sit on. Once everyone is seated, the students listen, and Princess Twilight Sparkle starts to narrate.

"Before I start, have you wondered what other worlds are out there… in space?" The students shook no and shrugged in response. "Well, Equestria is one of the many worlds in the outer and far reaches of space and the stars called the universe. And there are other worlds out there that have different creatures and places that we don't know. And these creatures on this statue happen to be in another world where they have their own home and creature society.

And I learned from them that they have this busy town just like Manehattan. And these special creatures went on adventures and traveled to many places in their world. And they've been doing this stuff for a long time.

From what they told me, they said that their life is like a hurricane in their hometown. There were racecars, lasers, airplanes… it's their own blur to them. They might solve mysteries or rewrite history.

And what I'm about to tell you… is a very important lesson from this tale you'll never forget.

…A duck tale, of course.

To start, I will tell you their side of the story first."

Every creature is eager to hear the princess's tale as Twilight continues her story…

"It all began in this city called Duckburg…"
