What seemed like hours stretched on, and Jane was still holding a shivering Maura. "It's not your fault, Maura,," Jane whispered.

Maura shook her head. "If I could have just ran away..."

"Maura, he had a knife. You had to stay to survive."

:"I know, Jane," she said. "I know, but it hurts.

"I know it must, Maura. Can you tell me, did you know this man?

"No, but he knew me."

"He called you Dr. Isles," she said, nodding.

Maura followed her gesture.

"Was there anything special about him? Any moles, scars, tattoos?"

"Jane, he grabbed me from behind, I I didn't see his face."

"Okay, anything about his hands that you remember?

"Rough, Worn. I figure he was older, maybe 40s."

"What was his skin tone?"

"White, but tan, and he wore Red Musk cologne."

"Okay," Jane said. "This is good, Maura. We can get him this way.." She made her some hot tea. "Here, drink this."

"Thanks." she smiled.

"That's what friends are for," Jane told her.
