'Is my hair really graying that much?' I remember thinking that morning in the locker room while I looked in the steamy mirror. I was wondering if traveling through the 'gate adds years to you. I was debating whether or not to ask Carter about it when Teil'c walked in.
"Good morning Coronal O'Neill." He stated in his jaffa worrier voice.
"Morning," I responded as I stretched. Teal'c walked over to his locker and grabbed a towel and walked away to take a shower. He was just heating up the water when those nascence lights started flashing and we heard the alarm for an unscheduled wormhole. The two of us rushed to the gate room to see what was ending the world now. By the time we got there the Tokra had already walked through and Sam was hugging Jacob. When they broke apart I knew there was something terribly wrong, because Jacob Carter wasn't smiling, and Jacob always smiled when he saw Carter. After I saw the look on Jacob's face I rushed the team to the briefing room where the General was waiting.
