~ The Collectors Keys ~
You know items or magical powers which can capture creatures, sometimes take control of them? You probably think of Pokeballs from pokemon or Prisms from Final Fantasy. Now, what would happen if you got the ability to capture anything be it an item or an omniscient being… With a key. You heard me right, A key. Not even a fancy one, just a bland iron key. Then you can use those creatures to either combine them together to form chimeras, steal the powers of the captured thing or creature, or finally just use them as companions or pets.
OP Right? Now, what would happen if you gave that to an otaku… while also sending them to an anime universe which they have almost no knowledge of. Well, you get a chaos filled adventure of gigantic proportions. Did I also mention they get a system to keep track of their abilities? No? Well they do. Enough explaining, Let's get into this Story!
~ The Collectors Keys ~
A blach haired, extremely skinny, dude lays on the stone floor of a cavern. Then as if a switch was turned on, he jumps awake, revealing two light-gray eyes. His hand launches to his chest, an instinctual reaction to his rapidly beating heart. After a few minutes, he finally manages to get his breathing under control.
He looks around confused, "Where am I…? Who am I?" He starts to hyperventilate again before his emotions are suppressed… no more like his negative emotions were completely wiped.
[System has used 200 skill points to buy skill, 'Calm Mind'. 800 points left.]
"Huh…?"
He stares at the screen before it fades away. He shakes his head, deciding to just pass it off as an illusion. He gets up, walking around the small cavern. He walks around a corner, before stiffening at the giant black bug moving slowly across the floor.
He stares at it in shock, 'I don't remember seeing a bug that big.' He walks towards it, noticing the large barbs on its legs. 'I really don't want to be grabbed or attacked by something with those barbs.' He thinks, his face in a grimace.
He walks past it not noticing the beady red eyes watching him hungrily from the shadows.
~ The Collectors Keys ~
He has been walking through the cave, looking for an exit for about 15 to 20 minutes, he is guessing of course. From what he has observed he has found a couple more of those large bug things. After the 12th one he decided to stay near it for a bit, to see what it does… A time waster really, since it was too slow to actually provide any useful information.
The only thing he really discovered was the grass or plants that walk on rots away. He really doesn't want to discover what it would do to human flesh, so he hurriedly walked away after finding that bit of information.
After walking away, he has decided to either create a weapon or find a very sharp rock. Though he really doubts he will be able to find either with how the caves are mostly made of smooth rock. So he decided to postpone that for now. He also found these silver? Iron…? Let's just go with metal keys in his left pocket. For now he just decided to keep one in his hand as a weapon, a not very good one, but a weapon nonetheless.
He also found out that from his experimentation that the keys are limitless. Mostly because he was bored and decided to pull out all of them to count… There were tons of keys on the floor before he figured that it was limitless. So many keys were just left there because he didn't want to pick up all of them.
He stops monologing to himself hearing a rock fall behind him. He looks back to see a somewhat large white spider staring at him with hungry red eyes. His flight and fight response kicks in, making him run away from the charging spider. I mean who the fuck would try to fight a spider that looks like if Australian spiders were given performance enhancing drugs? That's fucking suicide.
He runs, noticing the spider is not slowing, while he is starting to run out of breath. He takes in a deep calming breath before stopping. He turns around and chucks the key at the spider. The key jams into the spider's head, going straight through the exoskeleton of the spider. He starts as the key turns and the spider disappears.
He stares at the key for a moment before walking towards it. The once bland metal key, now is the same color of the spider. The round butt of the key now is the arachnids legs curled inwards, leaving two holes. The square tip that went into an older door now looks like it can go into a more modern door. He stares at it before getting an idea.
The 19-year-old swipes the air with the key, creating a black portal. The same exact spider, however instead of white now is the same color as his eyes. The tips of the legs now are a deep black, you would feel as if you were staring into the void. The spider looks at him, waiting for a command.
He was about to say something generic, like sit, before his stomach rumbled. Loudly. An embarrassed blush ecompases his face as he says, "Find food." The spider looks at him for a moment before walking off. He stares confused as the spider walks off, after seeing the spider wave at him he decides to follow it.
After a while of walking he finds a large spider nest, he stiffens at the dozens of spiders suddenly locked onto the intruder. Him. 'Fuck.'
