Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.
Megumi wasn't sure how or why it began but what he did know was that it began when he turned three, if he believed the stories he heard from spying on some of the elder members of his clan.
He was different from the rest of his family.
The glaringly obvious difference were the two milky white horns protruding through his raven blue hair. The pair of horns were long, about seven and a half inches long, thick and slightly curved out.
It made the other clan children wary of playing with him because, as far as they knew, there was no one else in the Hyuga clan with horns. It made the adults of the clan disdainful of him, though they hadn't been too keen on him before it happened.
Even his own father didn't bother to pay him much attention to him. His mother hadn't treated him differently.
Megumi felt the phantom touch of when she used to run her hands over his horns as if they weren't a deformity. He could remember muttered words but could never make sense of them.
And if the horns hadn't put him on the bad side of his clan, him being a twin was icing on the cake. A younger twin at that.
So, to sum it all up, he was the black sheep of the Hyuga clan and was hated for it. Not that the feelings weren't mutual.
Megumi stared at his reflection in the lake at his feet. He ran a hand up his right horn fondly before dragging it back down and pushing his bangs away from his forehead to catch sight of the seal his family cursed him with.
Something ugly curled up in his heart at the sight of the green ink that marred the fair skin of his forehead. Even though they were the cause of a lot of his pain, Megumi could never bring himself to hate his horns. Something in him was extremely proud of them.
But the curse mark, that was foisted upon him at the age of three, made him want to scratch the skin off his forehead in hopes it'll rid him of the horrid curse. He dropped his hand from his forehead and continued studying his reflection.
Pale eyes with no pupils, fair skin, raven blue hair cut into a bowl cut, and finally the curse mark.
I hate how I resemble her. His mind flashed to his meek twin. How I resemble them all. With a sneer, he turned away from the lake and looked up the hill where he could hear the other children squealing and yelling with delight.
Megumi sighed and began to walk back up the hill before his guardian came back and realized he left his sister alone. That would only get him punished by his father.
Once he made it to the top, he stopped beside a tree and sat down. He knew better than to try and approach any of the other kids. It could only end with him feeling rejected and scorned. Children can be cruel without realizing. Were the words one of his guardians used when he came home crying.
And Megumi agreed. He got that he was different but he never gave anyone a reason to think he was anything other than different.
They hated him. They cursed his very existence and called him every name they knew. The older kids cursed at him with words his guardian used when angry. Sometimes it would start with a few and then others would join in.
After a while, the teasing and hateful words no longer brought forth tears but in place of those tears was anger. Sometimes he lashed out in anger without even realizing it but never apologized.
But none of his actions went without punishment.
His fingers raised his fingers up to the mark on his forehead and could practically feel it vibrating as if anticipating its use and excited to bring him to his knees with a pain he found unbearable. Apparently, many of the elders in the Main house found it fitting to use it when he acted out in violence.
They thought it would snuff out the violent tendencies in him but all it did was make him angrier after he recovered and made him slightly more vindictive when he was provoked, only for the cycle to repeat until the other children settled for whispering and harsh looks.
With another sigh, Megumi immediately sought out his sister and rolled his eyes when he found her hiding behind a tree. Megumi couldn't hold back the scoff. How is she even a Hyuga? How was she chosen to be heiress?
Hyuga Hinata, his older twin sister by eleven minutes, was everything he knew an heiress of a Shinobi clan shouldn't be. If she hadn't been born first there was a chance, even with his horns, that he'd have been crowned heir and his sister would have been branded with the Caged Bird Seal.
Megumi immediately dismissed the thought as he spotted their guardian, Hyuga Mito, enter the playground with her Byakugan activated. He fought the urge to stomp his foot, because he wasn't ready to go home, the prison walls of the Hyuga compound.
I really hate this life.
"The two of you will be starting the Academy tomorrow." Their father stated once their food touched the table.
Couldn't even wait for us to eat. He thought with a strong urge to roll his eyes, something he learned from Mito.
Megumi could feel his father's intense gaze on him while he stared down at his food, suddenly losing his appetite, and tried his best to present himself unbothered by it.
"Megumi." Megumi lifted his head and made eye contact as he allowed his face to fall blank. Annoyance welled inside him but that was a decidedly unhealthy emotion to show in front of his father. "Your assigned guardian gave me a report of your skills and I find them acceptable." He turned to his food and took a small bite before continuing. "I'm sure you'll have no problems in class."
Megumi muttered a short. "Thank you." Before turning back to his food but kept sending glances at his sister as their father turned to her.
"Hinata." There was a tone Megumi was familiar with when he spoke to their sister. Stern etched with frustration and disappointment. Megumi could see Hinata trembling and fighting to meet their father's eyes. "We'll be working on your technique everyday after class."
Megumi covered his snort with a cough. "Also, Megumi, Mito has informed me that you've been sneaking out of the compound."
What business of that is your's, old man? Is what he wanted to spit out at him but Megumi knew if he didn't give an acceptable answer, he'll be grounded from leaving the compound. "I've been sneaking into the Library and reading up on Village History."
Hiashi stared him down but Megumi didn't look away and tried to keep his face blank but he knew he failed to keep the annoyance at bay. "Village History?" His father repeated, flatly.
"Yes, father, I'm starting the academy soon and I wanted to stay a step ahead of everyone else." Megumi felt relieved when his father seemed to ponder his words before nodding to himself and going back to his food.
"Well, then you'll allow Mito to accompany you, next time or there will be consequences."
Sitting with the two of you is punishment enough. Was at the tip of his tongue but was shoved down and swallowed. "Of course, father."
Once they finished eating, his father sent them to bed. Megumi knew he was probably going to go meet with the nanny to talk about his newest siblings: Hanabi.
Megumi slipped inside his room and after closing the door behind him, immediately climbed out of his window and leaped from the windowsill to the closest branch of the tree across from his window.
Sneaking out of the Hyuga compound wasn't hard, especially when the guard that was supposed to guard it at this time was suspiciously absent. Always at the time after Megumi's family finished dinner.
Which was perfect to him.
Megumi sat in a tree with his Byakugan activated.
When he first activated it, he had been flabbergasted at the overwhelming ability to see everything around him. The insects, the animals, the people and the chakra. It was all so clear to him.
The ability to see through anything was amazing. The ability to see people's chakra, even civillains, was fascinating. His eyes were better than any telescope. It was one of the few things he didn't resent about his bloodline, despite the fact that possessing the dojutsu was the reason why he was branded with the Caged Bird Seal.
Dismissing the thought, Megumi focused back on what he could see through the forest before him.
There were two people, boys, and they were fighting.
Not tumbling through the grass and pulling each other's hair fighting but fighting like professional Shinobi.
He narrowed his right eye, his byakugan eye, and noticed that both of the boy's eyes were different from anything he's ever seen outside of his own clan. Both boys in both eyes had red eyes with the pupil surrounded by three tomoe.
There was a slight itch in his brain, he heard of something like this before but he couldn't remember from where or what it was called.
His heart jumped when the taller of the two boy's spat a giant ball of fire at the other. The chakra was so dense and bright it almost made Megumi wince. But even as the fire left his mouth, the taller boy hadn't stopped moving, as if he knew that his opponent would dodge it.
Megumi watched as chakra began to build up inside his core as he already began flying through hand seals faster than Megumi could keep up with.
He turned his attention to the other in time to see the smaller boy finish a series of hand seals. Water surrounded him and was instantly turned to steam when fire met water. The smaller boy pushed through the steam as he pulled a small sword from his back.
The taller of the two, Curly Megumi dubbed him, spat a bullet of water but it was swiftly avoided by Ponytail as he dropped under the jutsu and slid to Curly with his sword prepared to slice.
It was met with black steel as Curly guarded his body with a kunai and gave a wide grin before disappearing. Megumi bit his lip to keep from giving a similar grin. This is the third time this week he was able to watch the two of them spar.
They were both, obviously, ninja but they didn't look much older than him.
The first time he spotted the two of them had been an accident, that had been the third time he activated his byakugan as asked by his guardian, to see if he could spot Hinata. He saw them arguing, though it seemed one sided, before they broke out in a fierce spar. If he had been alone he would have stayed and watched but Mito forced him home after spotting his sister hiding behind a tree.
Seriously, what's with her and trees? And the clan calls me a weirdo.
He comes back to this tree everyday hoping to catch sight of them again. The first week he hadn't been successful but his second week, on the fourth day he saw them.
Watching the two of them made him feel like he was watching a movie.
He frowned when the two of them began moving too fast for him to follow and crossed his arms over his chest. He focused and tried to follow but the best he could do was see the chakra saturate the air as they moved about.
He frowned and instantly got bored. I hate when they do that. Ponytail was fast but Curly was faster and it seemed like Curly had more stamina and chakra than Ponytail.
By the time they slowed down Megumi was already bored and looking elsewhere. Even with only one Byakugan eye, his perception and visionary field was just as good as those with two, Mito's words.
He focused on the boys again and they were only talking now. Curly was laughing while Ponytail was standing there smiling at him.
Megumi felt himself frown. He wished he had someone to talk to like that but with his appearance and the tight leash his father kept on him, it made it hard to make friends. There's Hinata but…there was that ugly feeling curling inside him again. He couldn't help but detest her very existence but he also couldn't be bothered with hating her, the most he was willing to display towards her was indifference.
It was no fun ripping someone apart that wouldn't fight back.
I could be worse, I could act like Neji. He rolled his eyes at the thought of his older cousin.
He was broken from thought when both boys disappeared and sighed, disappointed and deactivated his Byakugan. Maybe I could try one of those jutsu. He knew the hand seals to only one of the jutsu because there hadn't been many and Ponytail hadn't been speeding through it.
Clone Technique. He recognized the jutsu used by some of the genin in the compound. He never had the chance to use it but now was as good a time as any.
He carefully, but speedily, climbed down from the tree and grinned as he made the appropriate hand seals. He frowned when they appeared but they were transparent. When they disappeared he thought about it. Maybe I didn't use enough chakra…or I used too much chakra…
"You didn't distribute enough chakra to them all for them to be stable." He jumped, startled, and spun to find himself staring into a pair of dark eyes. Curly had taken to lounging in the spot Megumi once occupied. "You gathered the chakra but you didn't distribute them evenly enough, leaving them with not enough chakra."
Megumi took a step back when Curly leaped from the tree and landed within arms length of him. He looked down at him contemplatively. "Hmm, a Hyuga kid, and not just any Hyuga kid, the leader's son."
Oh, no. He wasn't supposed to be here, in the training grounds. He could get in so much trouble.
"You're actually pretty good at hiding your chakra, I thought you were a squirrel or something…until you attempted that jutsu." He pulled out a kunai and began spinning it around his finger, carelessly. "Spying isn't very ni-"
"I wasn't spying." Megumi corrected, slightly panicking. He flinched when Curly raised a brow. "Ok, I was spying but I just wanted to see you and Ponytail fight, I'm not spying for someone."
The kunai stopped twirling and Curly chuckled. "Ponytail? You mean Itachi?" He bent forward slightly and laughed. "Oh, God, I can't wait to tell him!"
He's…laughing? Megumi thought blandly. Does this mean I'm not in trouble? He hoped that was the case. "His name is Itachi?" He questioned curiously. That name sounded familiar…
Curly stood up, wiping away a stray tear. "Yup, also, we knew you were watching." He admitted.
Lavender eyes widened. "But you said-"
"I said that I thought you were a squirrel, yes, and that was true." He smiled and took a step forward. "But that was the first time we caught you spying on us." Megumi felt his cheek reddened. "Don't be embarrassed, it's hard to get many things past Itachi and I, and you are good at hiding."
Megumi wished for the conversation to be over. It was the longest he's ever gone with someone talking to him, let alone explaining where he went wrong with a jutsu and not at all disturbed that he had been spying on them.
Curly held out a hand and smiled. "My name is Uchiha Shisui." He introduced himself.
Megumi eyed him warily. "Hyuga Megumi." He said politely and grabbed his hand to shake. Manners were ingrained into his brain by his father and guardian. Always keep eye contact, never lower your head and always present yourself with the pride of the Hyuga clan. Mito's words rang through his mind.
Shisui snapped his fingers. "I knew your name started with an M." And crouched slightly so they were eye level. "So, why were you attempting an Academy level jutsu without supervision, it's dangerous, you know."
Megumi frowned at him. "I know that, I'm not stupid." He said curtly as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned his nose up at Curly, now Shisui. "I just thought I'd give it a try."
Shisui hummed and went silent for a moment. That made Megumi nervous. Is this where he takes me home and tells father what I've been up to? Megumi lowered his head slightly to look into pondering dark eyes. "Are you going to tell my father?"
Shisui snapped out of his thoughts and smiled. "Nah." He stood his full height. "You didn't actually do anything too dangerous." He reminded him. "Though, I'm going to need you to tell me that you won't try that jutsu again without supervision."
Megumi frowned and bit his lip. It's not much of a loss, I could try other jutsu or... With that in mind, he nodded his head. "Fine." He agreed. "But can you teach it to me?"
Dark eyes stared down at him. Megumi knew if Shisui turned him down, he would try the jutsu again when he was alone…but that was almost never. The only time he's alone is when he's in his room or when he is watching Shisui and his friend.
"Mmmm, sure." Shisui grinned.
"Wait, really?" Megumi questioned, surprised. He expected a lot more pushback on it.
"Yeah, sure." He shrugged. "When I was your age, I learned the basics, besides you're a Hyuga so probably already trained in taijutsu and know how to control your chakra, a little."
Megumi nodded. His style of taijutsu was different from his cousins. His father noted that he was more durable and flexible for someone his age, it didn't always fit with the Gentle Fist but he incorporated it in his fighting style anyways, despite the rigid regime his father tried to force him to stick to.
Shisui clapped his hands together. "Alright, this wasn't what I was expecting today but I'm kinda glad." His grin seemed to grow bigger, Megumi wasn't sure his face wasn't going to break in half. "Itachi always talks about his brother and I always wanted to know what that would be like."
"You're crazy." Megumi insulted flatly. He had two siblings and he didn't want another.
The Uchiha teen laughed, not the least bit offended. "Optimistic." He corrected.
"What's the difference?" Megumi questioned with a roll of his eyes.
Shisui's smile dropped as he eyed the boy in front of him. He sees the anger simmering in those pupiless eyes. He's so young. But those eyes also held a glint of fire and Shisui couldn't ignore it.
The wind blew and through the thick strands of his bangs, he could see wrappings around his forehead. He was aware of the animosity between the Main House and Branch House. And he was aware of the second affair after the clan leader, Hyuga Hiashi, gained twins.
And like before, with Hiashi's own twin, the eldest was kept in the Main House groomed to be the heir/heiress and the spare was tossed to the Branch House.
Shisui's eyes traveled up to the boy's horns. In the eyes of most clans, the men are held to a different standard than the women, and he knew for a fact that had the boy not been born with those horns, he'd have been chosen to be heir.
"The difference is hope." Shisui claimed as he took two steps forward, causing Megumi to lean his head back to look up at him. Shisui placed a hand between his hand, between his horns. "Hope that things will be better and that peace is on the horizon."
"Did your parents read that to you from a children's book?" Megumi questioned, his tone disgusted.
"No, my older brother did." Shisui's smile was back but the tone he used made Megumi aware that the conversation of that nature was over. "Ready to learn the clone technique?"
Megumi had questions and was more interested in learning. "Yes."
A year and a half flies by.
Megumi finds a lot of the things in the Academy tedious but keeps those thoughts to himself.
His skills in taijutsu were praised better than anyone currently in the Academy, which was a given. Not only was he being trained by Mito, a Jonin, but also secretly being trained by Uchiha Shisui of the Body Flicker. He was lethal in hand to hand combat and he was fast, even without the body flicker technique that he hasn't mastered to the extent of Shisui.
His jutsu arsenal only consisted of the basics but that was pretty much more than most of the other kids in the Academy. He knew for a fact that none of the other kids had been taught tree climbing or the body flicker.
His genjutsu skills were nonexistent.
His hand traveled down to the scroll hidden in his pocket. Shisui was also training him in Bukijutsu and had gifted him with a polearm. It was so sturdy and definitely expensive. He hasn't actually used the weapon yet but instead used a staff.
All in all, he was pretty well-rounded for only being seven years old and would be turning eight soon, mid-may.
It was only after he was noticed to be rising in the classes in terms of both his intellect and physical skills that he's transferred to the same class as his sister, under Umino Iruka.
He noticed that a couple of the children in his classes were heir/heiress of their respective clans. Yamanaka, Aburame, Hyuga, Nara, Akimichi, and Sarutobi. He also spotted some Uchiha and Inuzuka clan children.
Uchiha Sasuke. He came up, a lot, in conversation with Shisui. Mostly Shisui laughing about how the boy tried to upstage his older brother, Itachi, and always fell short.
Suddenly, dark eyes were looking back at him as the Uchiha turned to him. Megumi didn't care he'd been caught but he turned away anyways. He'd see what was so special about Uchiha Sasuke, soon enough.
His mind immediately wandered to the man with those same eyes. Uchiha Shisui. A legend amongst his clan and village. He had a Kill-On-Sight order and a sweet-tooth. And, for some reason, was incredibly kind.
For the first few months after meeting Shisui, Megumi expected for him to become bored with him and leave but that never happened. Shisui trained him, fed him, tutored him and joked with him. Megumi couldn't help but be flustered by the affection because he couldn't remember ever being given that.
His elder sister was terrified of her own shadow, his younger sister was too young to hold a conversation, his mother was dead and his father…enough said.
Megumi felt warm when Shisui would smile at him, tried his best to make him laugh, shared sweets with him and encouraged him. Never afraid to praise him when he did good and offered constructive criticism when needed.
Shisui was the best person he knew and made living in the Hyuga compound more bearable with the knowledge the Shisui would be in their meeting spot when Megumi would awake.
He felt his eyelids drop slightly and yawned. His training regime with Mito and Shisui often left him exhausted but that was only when they were both in the village at the same time, which was happening more often than not.
He turned his attention to the scroll sitting in front of him. One on fuinjutsu. It's something he's been studying with a single minded focus he didn't think he'd be capable of. He couldn't ask Mito for help, he didn't know how she'd react but Shisui was more than willing to share what he knew while giving him what he could find on the subject.
Fuinjutsu was archaic and there weren't many masters left, and the few he knew about were all outside the village. It frustrated him how little information was inside the village. Seriously, wasn't Konoha supposed to be the sister village to Uzushio? Not that there was much information on that village besides her people's use of Fuinjutsu.
Megumi put away his scroll. If anyone outside of Shisui knew that he was studying the Sealing Arts, they'd easily put together the pieces of why he'd want to learn.
Hyuga or not, Megumi would not live his life branded by a curse. It made his lip curl in disgust at the thought and made him want to hurt everyone.
He will become a powerful Shinobi.
He will break the Caged Bird Seal.
And he will make those who placed it on him pay.
He was snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of his teacher yelling and turned to the source of it.
Uzumaki Naruto.
The bane of Konoha's existence.
Many people think I look like a demon and don't treat me nearly as bad as they treat him. Megumi had witnessed the cold indifference of many of the villager's treatment of the blonde boy. It seems indifference won over outright violence as they all seem content to ignore and avoid him.
Megumi, honestly, couldn't blame them. There was something about the blonde that made him incredibly wary. It was like he was familiar but at the same time not. Uzumaki's chakra…it disturbed and confused him.
Like it was…broken? Missing something? Not his? There was that headache again.
"What an idiot." Megumi heard after Iruka told them they would be sparring today. He glanced over at his deskmate. Ino Yamanaka. "Why do we always have to pay for his screwups?" She demanded.
Megumi sighed and decided not to answer. He didn't mind sitting next to the Yamanaka or the civilian boys on the other side of him. They weren't friends and they were both easy to ignore. "Let's just go."
And with that he found himself watching the spars before he was the one in the sparring wind with one Inuzuka Kiba.
Megumi eyed the boy blandly. The Inuzuka and Hyuga were close allies, both their clans used for their abilities that made them a good matchup for tracking missions.
He watched as Inuzuka lowered himself into a crouch that reminded Megumi that he was a beast in the making. Inuzuka gave a confident grin. "Hey, freak, you ready to lose?" he asked, louder than necessary.
The Hyuga boy gave him the most deadpan look he could muster. "Tell me, Inuzuka, how many times have we sparred and you ended up on your back?" he asked, haughtily.
Inuzuka sneered and Megumi immediately tuned him out as he let his body fall into the Academy's basic fighting stance and didn't bother with activating his dojutsu.
Inuzuka rushed at him. He's fast. Megumi noted as he caught the boy around the wrist and flung him over his shoulder. But I'm faster. He let go of Inuzuka and danced away from the kick aimed for his stomach.
Megumi readied himself for the next rush and decided to end the match, rather than draw it out. He jerked back, away from Inuzuka's claws, and spotted the opening Inuzuka left open when he raised his arm back, in preparation to strike.
It took one quick strike, just one, that brought Inuzuka to his knees and grasping at his throat with both hands. Megumi didn't feel even slightly bad as the boy struggled to breathe. When Inuzuka fell to his knees, Megumi lowered himself and kicked him in the stomach, sending him skidding back twice like a skipping stone across the water.
"Megumi!" He heard Iruka call in alarm.
What? He was slightly annoyed. He hadn't called out to Inuzuka when he went to claw my face off. He bristled as Iruka dismissed him from the ring and went to check on Inuzuka, who was on his hands and knees, giving short pants with a red face.
It made Megumi snort in amusement. It was always like that in his spars, the instructors knew he was a step above the rest in taijutsu and, sometimes, urged him to learn moderation. Megumi couldn't be bothered to listen because what he had done was tame in comparison to what Mito put him through.
He claimed his spot next to Yamanaka, who hadn't been paying attention, and was instead sending cutesy glances over at Uchiha Sasuke. Seriously? He wanted to ask her. It's pitiful how all of these girls were only here to stroke the Uchiha's ego.
"Hey!" Megumi glared down at the finger being pointed in his face, almost touching his nose. His gaze traveled up the arm and glared into blue eyes that glared back. "You just think you're hot stuff, don'tcha?"
Megumi raised a brow but said nothing.
Uzumaki lowered his fingers and growled at him. "Tch! You're such a freaky mute!" He claimed. "You just think you're so much better than everyone but just you wait! I'll be the one to defeat you!" He was hollering.
Megumi sneered at him. He could feel Uzumaki's chakra, and while his sensory abilities were average, him being so close was grating his nerves and giving him a headache, on top of his yelling.
"Do you have to be so loud?" Megumi heard the Nara heir question from his place beside Ino. "Geez, Naruto, you're so troublesome."
"Shut it, slacker!" Uzumaki snapped at him. "I wasn't talking to you." Suddenly, that finger was in his face again, this time, brushing his nose. "I was talking to this horn head bastard!"
Alright, that's enough. Shisui, I tried, I really did. Let it be known that he didn't have the best control of his temper, despite Shisui's best efforts. That chakra was grating his nerves.
Megumi was about to grab the finger and break it when Uzumaki was, suddenly, snatched away. He blinked and looked up to find Iruka-sensei standing between them. "That's enough Naruto, stop harassing your classmate."
Uzumaki was being held in the air by the back of his shirt, flailing around. "But sensei! You saw what he did to Kiba!" He yelled.
Megumi sighed and walked away from the spectacle the two were creating. He took a seat against the Academy building's wall and sat in the shade it provided.
He felt eyes on him and glanced up. Uchiha and Inuzuka were both staring over at him. Hinata was also looking but when they made eye contact, she turned away and faced forward.
Megumi rolled his eyes. Kami, when will class end?
Unfortunately, he had four more hours.
Six more months passed before it happened.
It had been four hours and Shisui hadn't shown up.
Megumi frowned, Shisui was never late. More times than not, he was here before Megumi was. No matter how much I try to beat him here.
Megumi had gone through Shisui's regular regime of fifty laps around the training ground, one hundred push ups and sit ups, etc.
But he still hadn't shown up.
This is his week off. The eight year old thought confused. But maybe he was needed for an emergency mission, it wouldn't be the-
Megumi's thoughts were interrupted by a pitched whistling tone before an eagle landed on his shoulder. It took a moment before Megumi recognized the eagle to be a summoning…Shisui's summoning.
"Where is Shisui?" He asked the bird. He knew that it could talk.
The bird stared at him in solemn silence. "There's a letter for you." Megumi noticed the folded up paper attached to the bird's leg but hadn't thought much of it. When Megumi untied it from the bird's leg, it flew from his shoulder. "I'm sorry, Hyuga."
What? Megumi thought as his heart stuttered and watched as the eagle disappeared in a poof of smoke. He looked down at the folded paper in his hand and gulped. His hands were shaking but he untied it.
Pupiless lavender eyes search the paper.
The spot Shisui chose to train him in was the same place he and Itachi frequently trained in. It was a spot meant to be far away from anyone else so there were no interruptions, no matter how loud they were.
So the loud cries of despair from an eight year old went unheard by everyone…except the dark blue eagle that also let out it's own cry in despair for his fallen summoner.
Uchiha Shisui was dead.
End
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I wrote anything since the loss of my aunt and decided to come back.
How did everyone enjoy the start of my new fanfic? I tried a couple times to write a Naruto story but always dropped the ball so this time I plan on seeing this one through.
So, constructive criticism is welcomed and encouraged.
Let me tell you about Megumi because I know many people won't like how he acts but I'm tired of writing overly kind characters who go out of their way to help. I wanted to go for something more realistic and considering Megumi's circumstances, I think we can all get the way he keeps people at a distance.
Also, I will be going more into detail about the Shisui/Megumi big brother/little brother relationship.
Question even though I'm sure it'll be easy for you guys. Anyone know what Megumi is?
See you guys next time!
