Chapter 1: What Liza Marie Knew

Kurt Hummel-Anderson and Santana Lopez-Pierce saw a bruised and battered Noah Puckerman lying in a hospital bed in a coma. When Blaine arrives holding his two-year-old daughter Liza Marie. When Liza Marie sees Noah, she says, "I told you that Mean Queenie hurt Nono! But would you listen? No! Now look at him! I told you she drank too much, but you didn't listen! He told me not to tell, but I told you anyway! Yet you didn't believe me! This is all your fault!"

Santana was about to speak when Liza Marie yelled, "Like hell, you didn't know Auntie Tana! You saw his bruises and didn't ask how he got them! I knew because he called my phone every goddamn time she attacked him! My teacher helped me count how many times he called! He called my cell phone fifty times, screaming for help! It started a month after she lost her baby! Now, here it is, three months later, and he is in the hospital! Three months!"

Norah and Sarah soon enter, and Norah says, "I hit him when he was a kid, and the MILF's used him for sex. Kurt, your dad helped him get his life back on track, along with Mr. Shue and Coach Beiste. Burt even helped me and Sarah. Puck wanted nothing more than not to be like his dad. Only to end up an abuse victim like I was, and Liza Marie even told me about it! I am his mother, and I didn't believe her either! I saw the bruises and heard the lies! Lies! I, myself, used to hide the fact that Nick was abusing me!"

Soon Norah is crying, and Liza Marie is lying on Noah's chest, saying, "Nana Norah, you stopped being mean to Nono, and he did try to leave Meanie Queenie! That's why he is here! She wouldn't let him leave and shot him in the back! He called me during the attack, and I called 911! Before texting General Young at the base! I'm just glad Meanie Queenie shot herself!"

Later that same day, Burt and Carole visited Finn's grave. When they notice Santana yelling at Quinn's grave, as she says, "How could you be so stupid, Quinn? You knew about his mother hitting him, then you turned around and did the same goddamn thing to him!"

Then she falls to her knees before saying, "How could I not know you were hurting Puck? How could I think you two were good for each other? You are dead, and Puck is in a coma! Why?!"

Soon Burt is picking up Santana as he says, "A good question, Santana is. Why didn't Puck leave?"

Santana says, "Liza Marie said he tried the day Quinn killed herself, and she shot him in the back like a fucking coward!"

Then Santana gets a text from Kurt saying, "Puck's dad is here, and Liza Marie is yelling at him."

Soon she gets a video text from Blaine of Liza Marie being held by Norah as she yells at Nick, saying, "My G' Pa Burt has been more of a daddy to Nono than you have! Why the hell are you here anyway?"

Nick just looked at Noah as he said, "Tell my son I'm sorry." Then they heard Noah's heart monitor go off before the video clip ended.

Later, when they enter Noah's hospital room, they see Nick has left, and Blaine holds Liza Marie as she cries. Blaine looks at the others and says, "Puck is fine, and his heart monitor going off scared Liza Marie. Nick just left, but not before he had a few words to say about Burt and Kurt, which upset her more."

Then Liza Marie says, "Nick is a fucking dick! Sorry for my language, but you all know Nono would have said that about him! I'm just saying it because Nono can't, and I think that too."

This made Norah say, "I think Puck would have even said what you said earlier too, Liza Marie. Your Grandpa Burt has been more of a dad to Puck."

Then Norah looks at Carole before saying, "And your Nana Carole has been more of a mother to him than I ever was."

Carole says, "You were always his mother, Norah; you just lost your way for a little while. Nick was never a dad to Puck."

Then Liza Marie says, "Will you two shut up? You are making Nono sad!"

Before she gets up and climbs into bed with Noah, and says, "I am the only one here that cares about Nono! You are just here out of guilt because you didn't save him from Meanie Queenie!"

She told Norah, "If you knew he was lying about his booboos! Why didn't you help him leave Meanie Queenie before this happened? He is your son, and he needed help to escape Meanie Queenie! He was so desperate for help that he called me! A two-year-old girl, for God's sake! I haven't slept in my bed since Meanie Queenie's funeral because I keep hearing him screaming for help! I even started wetting the bed again because of my nightmares! If all of you listened to me! Meanie Queenie would be in jail, and Nono would be awake and able to walk! Now, get the hell out of here and leave us alone!"

Burt and Norah were the only ones that stayed as Liza Marie fell asleep on Noah's chest, listening to his heartbeat. Soon Norah says, "Ha, how can Blaine handle that his daughter and my son love each other? Puck would talk about Liza Marie like he would talk about Beth."

Burt looks at Liza Marie and says, "Liza Marie had a crush on the Hulk, if that tells you anything."

Norah chuckled before saying, "Nick left some of his old Hulk comics behind in his guitar case, and Puck tried to make himself look like the Hulk with a mohawk. He thought mohawks were cool because Nick had one. But I never let him have one, and the day Nick left, Puck shaved his head. Then I drowned myself in alcohol, and Carole is helping him raise Sarah. Knowing what I know about Elizabeth, I am surprised that Kurt didn't try to get us together."

Burt glared at her and replied, "Puck wasn't Kurt's type, and you know Puck can hear you, right?"

Norah winks at Burt before saying, "So can Liza Marie. Plus, I don't see her getting up to defend Kurt or Puck. I bet you haven't had a private conversation with Kurt since Liza Marie was born. I know Puck has kept secrets from me, but you can't tell me your son or granddaughter hasn't either. Why else would Puck call her the most?"

Soon they hear Liza Marie say, "No, Papa, stop! Dada didn't call Nono! I did! Ow! Stop Papa! Please stop! I'll be a good girl! Please let us get dressed, Papa! I don't like seeing Dada naked every day!" This made Burt storm out, and Norah texted Carole about what Liza Marie said in her sleep.

When Liza Marie wakes up, she sees Kurt in the other bed, bruised and battered, as Burt stands over him, fuming. All Burt says is, "Did you talk to Puck about Bad Papa when you called him?"

Liza Marie starts to cry before saying, "Nono was going to come to get us the day he was shot! He told me he was in love with Dada and planned on being my new papa. Dada and Nono had planned to tell you two that they loved each other before they even told each other that! I didn't tell them I knew they loved each other because I wanted to hear them tell each other! God, this is all my fault! I didn't say anything when Papa and Dada were here earlier! Now, Nono and Dada are in the hospital!"

Then they heard Jake Puckerman say, "So is Bad Papa, Liza Marie, and your Dada called me."

Jake walks up to Norah and says, "Hi, I'm Jake Puckerman, and I believe you know my mom, Sally. Sorry, we had to meet like this."

Before he turns to Burt, then says, "Blaine was never my friend, and Finn was a good guy. I mean, with him being Puck's best friend and Kurt's brother. I thought I would help Kurt out here, and nobody needs to go through the hell they did."

Then they hear Santana say, "I couldn't agree more, Jake."

When Blaine woke up, he saw Burt and Santana with their arms crossed. He sat up and said, "I can explain."

Burt and Santana say in unison, "Oh, really? Let's hear it!"

Blaine clears his throat before saying, "I was drinking because I was stressed, and Liza Marie wasn't helping. Kurt wouldn't discipline her and would leave it up to me."

Santana screams, "So, you made them run around naked and spanked them both with a goddamn belt?! What happened to your vows? What happened to a work in progress? You stood up there in front of us, proclaiming your love for Kurt! I know why you did this! He told you he loved Puck, and you couldn't take being dumped. You cheated on him so many times, and the one time he decided to be with someone else, you couldn't stand it! You are just like Quinn! I'm glad Mr. H. will see you pay for your crimes! Puck's Ma will never see Quinn pay for what she did to Puck!"

Then Blaine smirks and says, "That's only if he lives."

Soon, Burt grabs him by the neck and says, "You can still be charged with murder! By the way, you better pray Puck doesn't wake up because we both know he can do worse than Jake did!"

After that, Santana says, "Mr. H., Jake just texted me."

Then she glances at Blaine and says, "Puck's awake."

This makes Blaine piss himself before Burt and Santana leave. When they enter Noah and Kurt's hospital room, they see Noah looking at Kurt and crying while he holds Liza Marie. Before he looks at Burt and says, "I'm sorry, I didn't tell you about Kurt, Mr. H. I was going to tell you about it the day Quinn shot me, but I never got to. I thought she would tell you."

Then he looks at Liza Marie before saying, "The day I realized I loved Kurt was her second birthday. I fought with Quinn, and I was the last to leave when he kissed me goodbye. She dared him to, and I am glad she did. Because he told me about Blaine, and I told him about Quinn."

Noah breaks down again and says, "Mr. H, Liza Marie told everybody because she was more afraid of Blaine than Quinn. There were many times we were attacked simultaneously, and Quinn knew about Blaine too. She didn't help her because Liza Marie happened to be Rachel's daughter, and she tried to kill me. Because in her mind, I was trying to replace Beth with her."

Noah wanted to say more, but Liza Marie woke up and started hugging or kissing Noah, as she called him, Papa Hulk between kisses. With Blaine in the room next door. They soon heard him yelling, "She is my daughter, you son of a bitch!"

Before Norah comes in with a wheelchair and Burt lowers the rail for him. Noah soon wheels himself and Liza Marie into Blaine's room, which makes Blaine scream in fear in front of his parents and brother. Noah says, cracking his knuckles, "You're nothing but a sperm donor, and she is my daughter now!"

Then Norah walks in and says, "You're right, I am a bitch, and if you come within fifty feet of my new granddaughter, you'll have to deal with us! That little angel is the best thing that has happened in my son's life, and I will help ensure none of you ever see her again! She needs my son, and so does Kurt. Plus, I guarantee your son will never hurt Kurt or my new granddaughter again!"

Then Norah approaches Blaine and says in a low growl, "If I see you near Kurt again, I will cut it off!" Before long, Blaine pissed himself again. Then she wheeled Noah out of the room with a smirk.

When they enter Noah and Kurt's hospital room, Burt says, "I couldn't have said it better myself, Norah. Liza Marie, I just wanted you to know. Mama Rachel is on her way to talk to Bad Papa."

Soon they heard high heels running down the hall, and a door slammed open. Before they hear Rachel say, "You promised me you would treat her like gold, and now Kurt is in a coma! I hope Puck loves Kurt, because I know my daughter loves Puck and has since birth! This restraining order states that if you come within ten feet of Liza Marie, you will be arrested. Now, I will see if Liza Marie's Papa Hulk is okay!"

Then Rachel comes in with Jesse giggling before saying, "I don't know how many times Blaine peed himself before I got here, but when I called Puck, Papa Hulk, he did it again, and now it reeks in his room."

Then Liza Marie holds up two fingers as she stifles her laughter. Noah says loud enough for Blaine to hear, "Hey, Rach, if we become a couple here? Would you like to help give Liza Marie a sister?"

Rachel smirks as she replies, "I would love to, Papa Hulk!"

Suddenly, they hear Mr. Anderson say, "Son, seriously, that fly-boy loser is in a wheelchair, and you can take him. Now, man up, and I don't care what this paper says! Liza Marie is your daughter, and you have more rights to her than Rachel or Kurt!"

This makes Norah storm out, and they hear her say, "Not when there is spousal abuse, you arrogant son of a bitch, and you know I saw Kurt's bruises or broken wrists. I was the one that would bandage up his wrists."

Then they heard Mrs. Anderson gasp before Blaine replied, "God, I think she broke my nose!"

Soon Norah walks back into the room and says, "Liza Marie, I can't wait to be your Nana, and I can tell your dada liked what I did."

Noah was the first to notice the smile on Kurt's face. This makes him try to stand up and kiss Kurt on the lips before telling him, "I love you, Kurt. Please wake up and show that son of a bitch how strong you are."

As he says this, Burt holds him up and looks over his shoulder to see Kurt crying. Before Noah kisses him again and whispers, "Blaine will never hurt my princess again,"

Noah pets Kurt's face as he says, "I will do whatever it takes to prove to you that I do love you, and I am gay, Kurt."

Soon Kurt's eyes are open, and he pulls Noah in for another kiss before whispering, "I love you too, Puck."

A week later, in group therapy as Noah talked about the time his dad left while in group therapy, his mind wandered to the past. He soon sang Never Again by Nickelback. As the song ends, he holds Kurt and cries. Soon, the men were in their hospital room, and Burt walked in with Liza Marie as Noah cried harder. Burt puts Liza Marie on Noah's lap before she put her head against his. She says, "You're okay, Papa Nono. Your mean dad is gone, and you are safe."

After this, the men stay with Kurt's parents while awaiting his divorce. That night, Kurt and Noah were alone in a guest room. They stripped naked, and Kurt noticed Puckzilla standing at attention. Soon Noah rode Kurt's cock as they kissed. The moment they switched positions, Noah pulled Kurt onto his lap, then grabbed Kurt's ass and said, "I've been wanting to do this for months now." Then they hear Carole giggle before Noah gets a ring box from the nightstand and asks, "Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, will you marry me?"

As he slips the ring on Kurt's finger, Kurt says, "Yes, Noah Elijah Puckerman, I will!"

Then Kurt whispers, "Rachel, Dad, and your mom bet when and how you would ask. Dad thought it would turn out like this. I noticed Liza Marie had been watching him for a week. Ha, she may love you now, but we both know you'll be worse than Dad used to be. Ha, Carole and Norah hit him while you napped with Liza Marie. After he showed us the refurbished gun closet; he had just put some locks on."

Soon, Burt whispers, "Ow, I had to put them somewhere! Besides, I'm not the one that made them kiss Little Missy!"

Before Liza Marie yells, "Papa Nono kept looking at Dada's butt all day! That's why Queenie fought with him! I did nothing, Grandpa Burt! Now, you can sleep here! I'm sleeping with Nana Carole!"

Then Noah says, "You can get back at her when she is thirteen, Burt."

Carole soon says, "Not if I'm still around by then, Puck!" And they hear Burt chuckle.

In the morning, while Noah and Kurt had the house to themselves, Noah held Kurt in his arms as they lay in bed. Then he says, "It wasn't Brittany or Santana that wanted you to share their wedding. I felt sorry for you after Finn died. I planned to tell you, but feared you would say I was going soft. That first time we kissed, I was about to tell you, but Liza Marie didn't want me to. Then this all happened, and I didn't care if you knew it. Kurt, I promise, I'm nothing like my dad, and I will do right by my princesses."

Kurt looks at Noah up and down, then says, "Noah, I'd rather be your princess than Blaine's punching bag. Blaine wasn't that jerk all the time, but after Liza Marie was born, it was like a switch was flipped."

Noah chuckled at this and said, "Quinn was the same way once we got married. She flipped after the first miscarriage. Nothing I did was right for her, and I caught myself staring at you. I knew it was only a matter of time before I left her. Suddenly, Noah looks away from Kurt before crying uncontrollably. As Kurt sings, Not While I'm Around from the movie Sweeney Todd.
