JAMES:

In dwindling light of the morning, summer sun entered through the gap in the curtains. A boy with emerald green eyes squinted at the bedside table next to him, attempting to get a better look at the time. Six am. He could have had at least another hour but he decided against it, the day was young and they were on a countdown after all.

Looking beside him was a mass of brown engulfing over his side of the bed.

"Morning sunshine." He whispered gently into her ear, placing some small kisses down the side of her neck.

The girl turned sleepily and buried herself deep into his chest. Nuzzling her noise against his familiar and warming scent, she slowing came to her senses.

"Whatsa time?"

"Six in the morning sleepyhead. I was going to let us stay in bed but boy have I got some plans for us today. So wake the fuck up!" He replied cheerfully. She gazed up and stared at him, a smile creeping onto her face. Her dark brown eyes meeting his emerald.

"You're going to have to make me" She said mischievously. He tried to resist the eyes and the look but he couldn't. She was a drug to him and he could not resist her. No matter how hard and how long he tried. She was the same though. He went against all of her personal morals and politics, but again she couldn't resist him. He was comfort and home, she was excitement and love, and together they were both happy and vulnerable in each-others presence.

"Is that so?" He asked playfully. He leant down and kissed her gently. The two were in sync with a lot of things in life. They could read each other like a map and this was also the case when it came to their physical intimacy. The pair were like thunder and lightning. One always came after the other, one was always needed to have the other, and one was more destructive.

And so, on that perfectly sunny summers morning, a storm was occuring in James Potter's bedroom.

The smell of coffee brewed throughout the kitchen of the Den, and Ginny Potter levitated over a plate of croissants along with some toast to the long kitchen table. None of her children had yet to emerge downstairs but she knew it was a matter of time due to the movement she had heard coming from upstairs.

"Thanks love." Smiled her husband. He was sitting at the table, coffee already in hand and enjoying the morning newspaper. Something was lot more relaxed about him in summer. Like he always said even Voldermort respected the school holidays, and other less prominent dark wizards seemed to respect the same.

"You're very welcome. Any news?" She asked sitting down next to him and placing a loving hand on his knee.

"Nothing of interest really, everything seems a bit dull at the moment. I know that usually means I am literally about to jinx it all." He muttered.

"Not with that attitude." Ginny smirked rolling her eyes. There was a clatter from the hallway and in came her very energetic son, followed by the girl she considered her daughter.

"Morning" Them both chimed out.

"Good morning, you two are very perky this morning." Harry smirked from behind his paper. At first the couple debated whether to let the girl stay over so much, but they could not help but have her. She slotted right into the household and they much preferred the person their son was when he was around her.

"Well we have big plans for the day." James announced, pouring him and the girl a large cup of coffee.

"Oh you do now." Ginny implored.

"Well Jamie here won't tell me the what, he is all about being on a countdown before he's got to go back to that school of his." The girl laughed rolling her eyes.

"Yeah well patience Lex, all will be revealed." He laughed in response.

"Morning." Groaned a voice from behind. In entered a flash of orange heading straight towards the coffee pot.

"Oh what I would give for one of my children not to be addicted to this god awful caffeine." Ginny said rolling her eyes.

"Blame dad for that! He gave me my first cappuccino." Lily cried out.

"Yeah or blame Alex, she got me into what do you call them? A macha?" James asked.

"A mocha, you dimwit." Came another voice in the kitchen. Albus in all ways physical looked like James, except for his eyes, he had his mother's eyes.

"Indeed, it is." Alex confirmed, backing up the younger brother's statement. To the family's pleasure the girl was a squib. Her mother had been a witch and her father was a muggle. Sadly, she had followed in her father's footsteps and not inherited any magical ability, but she loved to still be around it. For the Potter's this made their lives easier as they technically weren't doing anything illegal.

"Well I tried. Anywho finish that croissant and meet me at the front in ten. We are heading off to destination one." James declared, upping and leaving the table in a flash.

"Honestly I don't know what the fuck you do to him but he is such a wet wipe when he is around you," Albus laughed.

"Language Al!"

"He's got a point mum, he is a right sulking bastard at school."

"Lily."

"Nah Dad don't even you admitted it as well the other day." Albus started.

"Harry!"

The girl sat back giggling at the scene before her. She was accustomed to life at the Den and was more than entertained by the constant family bickers. The fast talking suited her a lot more than the silence she faced at her own dining table.

"What can I say, I am secretly charming him." She laughed before getting up and taking both his and her plates to the sink.

"I told you, you don't need to do that Lex."

"Please I insist it is the least I can do here." Alex replied, cleaning the plates and placing them on the self-drying rack.

"Have a good day everyone," She called out before heading to the front door. This house had been her home for nearly ten years now, yet she constantly felt the need to repay the Potter's for their hospitality and kindness.

"Took your time."

"And you didn't clear up your plate."

"That is what magic is for," James retorted. "Now come here and close your ears or I will blindfold you." He ordered. Alex stepped towards him trying to look deeply into his face to reveal what he had planned. He had a look she couldn't quite decipher but she knew that whatever they were going to do today would be spectacular.

Not wanting to be told twice she closed her eyes and felt his hand slip in hers. Her senses were heightened without sight and his touch gave her the usual shivers. Sensing he was in front of her she leant out, and gently kissed him.

"You know I love you Lex."

"I know."

There was a loud thud which told her she could open her eyes. There in front of her were two gleaming motorbikes with helmets attached.

"So please, will you do me the honour of taking a trip down memory lane. A tour of us." James gleamed proudly. The deal was sealed with a kiss. A long one at that.

The brown and green met. Today was going to be a good day. Today was going to be a storm.
