That night with Billy had taken a toll on the medic. Rebecca always worried, and wondered what happened to Billy Coen. Where he was. What could have happened to him? Rebecca's night had just begun that day. After departing from the man she would later file as deceased. She headed her way to the big mansion down the hill to try and find the remaining members of the stars team.

Rebecca Chambers had awoken in a cold sweat about 30 minutes ago. Just now cooling off with the help of a large glass of milk. She hadn't expected joining the stars team would cause as much trauma as it did. But then again she wasn't expecting a t-virus outbreak..

Rebecca was sitting at her dining room table. Looking out of the window, and thinking about the dream that caused her to wake up in that state. The dream she had wasn't new. In fact, she could picture it perfectly in her mind due to how frequently it occurred.

Billy was in it. She could see him walking through the woods, after they had departed, and slowly being surrounded by the monsters. He shoots, and uses up all his ammo. He tries to run but ends up getting the insides of his neck bitten out.

She looks down at her almost empty glass. Anxiously tapping it with her fingernail. Wishing the brain didn't make things up as you slept.

Rebecca had worried about Billy for 2 years everyday since that night. She had wished for nothing more than to be able to hug him and know that he lived. She had faith in Billy, she knew damn well he could fight and fend for himself. But that doesn't mean she didn't fear for the worst.

She got up from the wooden chair and put her glass in the sink. The time was 3:27 am. Her alarm was set for 6 am. She felt tired, but at the same time it felt like her mind was wide awake. She just couldn't stop thinking. Her mind always raced, especially after having a dream like that. Sleepless nights were common for her. It seems like it was for the other living members of stars as well. It wasn't uncommon to see a member online in the middle of the night. Or even to receive a text from one because they noticed she was online too.

Rebecca headed for her dark room and laid down on her bed. Not tucking herself in. She rolled to her side and grabbed her phone. The time was 3:30 am. She didn't want to go back to sleep. She couldn't risk having another terrible dream about Billy. Rebecca decided to start her day. Despite how early it was.

Since the day at the Spencer mansion she wanted to get stronger. Going to the gym had become something Rebecca did when she had nothing else to do. She had to train for the mile run at the police academy anyway so getting back into working out wasn't difficult at all. So actually quite enjoyed it, but figured it wasn't something she needed to do since she was the medic of the team. How wrong she was!

Rebecca quickly got dressed and headed to the gym. The only one that was open this late was over 30 minutes away. She figured a good late night drive could do good for her current mental state anyway.

She arrived at the gym and walked into the bright building. After paying for the visit, she began running on the treadmill all the way in the back of the building. Rebecca ran 5 miles for 30 minutes. She was really good at running and actually really enjoyed it. She was a medic but being fit could never hurt. After lifting weights and doing other various exercises and decided to quit and head for the showers. The showers here were actually really nice and there was never anybody in them. That's probably why they are nice.. Rebecca giggled to herself. Finally feeling better.

She checked her phone as she was walking to the showers. It was 5:04 am. Just in time to take a quick shower and be home around 6. The showers had a white tile floor, and benches several feet away from them. She placed her phone and her change of clothes on the bench and turned on the water.

Rebecca was studying medicine more in depth. She's had the plan to create medicines for viruses since the incident. With the zombies and all.. So that was her plan after she got home. She had some books and online classes waiting. She planned on possibly quitting stars in a couple of months. But for now she supported her team in any way that she could. No matter what, she would always be working to help take down Umbrella.

She washed her hair and her body. The water was cold but she didn't mind. It felt nice after being all sweaty anyways. After drying off, she put on a black tank top and a pair of light blue jeans before walking out of the shower room. Looking around at all of the work out machines and few people there.

Out of the few people there, only one stood out to her. A face she only ever saw in dreams since that night. A tall, fit figure with a queen tattoo on his right arm. He was running on the treadmill.

Billy? She only thought to herself.

Rebecca couldn't believe her eyes. She had thought she'd seen him in public many times before, but after a good look she always had her hopes crushed. But this time there was no terrible feeling after realizing it wasn't the man she had hoped it to be. Because this time it actually was. She felt the cold metal of his dog tag around her neck. She felt her heart squeeze.

She took multiple steps towards the line of treadmills, looking around to make sure no one else was around. She spoke. "Billy?" Rebecca said loud enough for just him to hear.

The tall man froze. He stopped the treadmill and slowly turned his head to look over at source of the familiar feminine voice.

He looked up at her. "Rebecca?" She was probably 10 feet away from him. About 4 treadmills away from each other. He quickly got off the treadmill and walked over. "Billy? Is it really you?" Rebecca said, shocked, and wondering if she ended up falling asleep when she layed in bed hours ago.

"How've you been doing dollface?" Billy said, now breaking the distance between them. "I've been okay.." Rebecca said in a shaky voice not believing what was happening. Billy pulled her in for a hug. "I've missed you a lot I didn't know if you were ok-" The medic cried and blushed– embarrassed. She hadn't imagined she'd start crying once they were reunited again. "I missed you a lot too Rebecca. Now stop crying, I want to see your pretty face" Billy jokes, lifting her chin up.

"I really thought I'd never see you again." Rebecca said finally calming down. Billy listened, hand still resting on her chin. "What are you doing here so late at night?" Billy asked. "I couldn't sleep," Rebecca said, wiping her eyes. "Dreaming about me?" Billy flirted trying to lift the mood. Rebecca giggled. Little did he know the actual answer.

The two sit down on benches by the weights. It was around 5:30 by now. They had so much to talk about and catch up on. What Billy had been doing since that day, where he went, how he'd been doing. Billy had many questions about Rebecca too. How she had been doing, if she was really okay?

Loneliness was very present in both of their lives. Billy was pretty much always on the run. He couldn't become close with anyone due to fear of his identity being exposed. He changed his name and of course moved far away from Raccoon city. But with how big the crime of which he was accused of, many people knew about him. He couldn't risk anything.

"So what brings you to this gym, Billy? I figured you had gone states away. Maybe even out of the country." Rebecca asked curiously. Billy chuckled, "I probably should have. Shortly after that night in the mountains I bleached my hair, and started wearing more long sleeves to cover my tattoo. I like to come to this gym since it's open and empty at night. Only about an hour away from where I live." Billy explained, "with the outbreak, and with 'Billy Coen' being deceased, nobody looked for me anyway." Billy clasped his hands together and looked down at them.

The bleach in Billy's hair had grown out. It was now longer in the back with a small ponytail. He had a wife beater on right now, but he had an excuse for that, being in an empty gym and all. "I'd like to see you with bleached hair!" Rebecca chirped. "Haha, I hated it but it was better than constantly trying to hide. My description was basically 'black hair and mother love tat sleeve,' Billy smiled, despite talking about a horrible situation. He was just happy to be finally talking to Rebecca again.

"Enough about me. What have you been up to, dollface?" Rebecca smiled at the nickname. She had missed this. Talking with Billy. They had many great conversations that night. Mainly trying to fill the sounds of groaning from the dead, but still great conversations nonetheless. "I haven't really been doing much." Rebecca scratched her wet hair. "I'm studying medicine for viruses." The young medic smiled. "Wow dollface, that's great." Billy straightened his back and smirked. He glanced up and noticed a group of people walking in. Rebecca checked her phone. It was now 5:58. Most people come to the gym at 6 or 7. "Hey Billy, how about continuing this conversation at my place? We can cook or go out for breakfast. If you haven't eaten yet." Rebecca didn't know how to go about this. She couldn't just leave. Not after missing him every day for the last 2 years.

"That sounds good to me."

This is the first fic I've ever uploaded. I hope it's not too terrible lol! I'll make another chapter. Depending on where it goes I'll make multiple chapters. Thank you for reading!
