so sorry I never updated yesterday, I was watching Disney movies with my 3 year old son but here's the next chapter hope you all enjoy
"What are you doing here Hunter?" I growled
He laughed "Well dear lady, you left us without a word and we had to find you and why you here of all places?" his southern drawl was a bit hypnotic but nothing ever came of us two I couldn't let another romance ruin my job
The other rider was a woman
"Hey Storm" she said to me
They gave me the nickname when they could trust me, as Hunter had said once I reminded him of a very brutal storm and so the name stuck one I liked at the time but here there was no need for it.
"Bloodstone how you been?" I asked as I hugged her too
"I've been bloody worried about that's how I've been" she retorted
I turned to the guardian on the gate
"Its fine they work with me" I said he nodded
Bloodstone and hunter looked at me a little confused as to why they were suddenly allowed in
"I'm the Queens Guard what I say goes"
Hunter let out a low whistle, I directed them to the garage and they soon sped off
"So who are they?" Dimitri asked
"They are the best free lance guardians out there and they are my friends" I stated
Dimitri didn't look convinced but said nothing more
Flashback
It was dark and I was walking back to my apartment when I heard a scuffle I went to investigate it and soon found an old building where the noise was coming from, the sound of shattering glass caused me to look up and there out the third story window was someone coming down. The body crashed to the floor and it had a stake sticking out its chest, strigoi. I grabbed the stake from my coat pocket and made my way inside the building.
All along the floor and heading up the stairs where dead truly dead strigoi. I followed the trail and soon came to a stop outside a room where all the noise was coming from. I threw open the door and found two people surrounded by strigoi.
"What the hell" I said a few red eyes turned to me
"Hey girly you shouldn't be here" came a southern accent
I soon found the speaker he was tall with black hair and green eyes beside him was a woman she had striking red hair of the dyed type I mean it was bright red
One of the strigoi took a double take at me
"You can't be here they say you ran"
I chuckled "clearly you have your sources wrong as you can see I am here" I replied
"Who are you?" the Red-haired woman asked
"Me I'm Rose Hathaway" I smiled at her
Her face fell and the other strigoi left in the blink of an eye the one that had the guts to talk to me stayed behind
"I'm not running from you, I'm not scared of you and I will take great pleasure in killing you" he laughed and it was cruller and twisted
"Oh, really?" I asked
It simply nodded the stake in my hand flew across the room and hit home in his heart the things face contorted to one of fear
It slowly began to fall I went over to it
"Bet you fear me now" I hissed as drove the stake deeper and with its last breath it shrieked and raked its nails down my face. I pulled out the stake and put it back in my pocket
"I'm Hunter and this is Bloodstone my sister" Hunter extended his hand I shook it
"Yeah nice to meet ya"
End of flashback
From then on we were a team. My scar never faded not that it shows I cover it up with makeup, the scar covers my eyebrow and another is over the corner of my lips.
Over the next few days people began to except Bloodstone and Hunter, it was nice to have my new friends here, people who really cared about protecting not just moroi and court but the whole damn world. I was in the gym training with a few weapons. The door of the gym opened I looked up and instantly stopped. My mother was standing at the door with a sword the same height as her which isn't hard
"Rose can we talk?" she asked
I nodded; she came closer and drew the sword
"I know you wouldn't talk with some kind of weapon"
She was right but last time we sparred she punched me right in the eye and it was embarrassing having to say my mother had given me a black eye.
I picked up the nearest sword it wasn't as big but I knew it'll sand up to my mother's.
The second I was ready my mother went for a jab I blocked it
"So talk what to you want?" I snapped avoiding a body shot
"Rose I just wanted to say I'm glad you're back but give up the charade that you are this person who couldn't care less about those she loves"
I threw the sword down, my mother straightened up
"Listen here I don't give a crap about you think, you were never there for me, so do me a favour and butt out" I yelled
"Your father has less of a right to advocate in your life then I do" she yelled right back
I had nothing to say well I never got a chance to say anything since my mother stormed out of the gym
"You stay the hell away from my daughter" my mother yelled
I went to see who she was yelling at; I quietly opened the door and leaned against the frame. My mother was yelling at Dimitri
"Haven't you hurt her enough you're the reason she's like this, you destroyed her and you boy are lucky she still loves you or you'd be out of here and you wouldn't have that pretty face of yours either"
I hid my laugh behind my hands. Dimitri stood his ground, which was surprising because my mother is one scary woman.
"Guardian Hathaway, I'm very sorry I hurt Rose, that was never my intention I could spill my guts and tell you but Rose needs to know first" he said quickly
My mother turned to me and pointed Dimitri followed her and his eyes lit up as he saw me
"Well spill those guts I want to hear you explanation" I snapped
Dimitri took a huge breath
"I was compelled, Tasha compelled me, I wouldn't hurt you on purpose, it would kill me and it's killing me now, knowing that I will never get to hold you, wake up next to you in the morning or even see you smile. Tasha begged me to sleep with her-"he was cut of my mother's fist in his face
He stumbled back
"Janine that's enough" my father yelled from down the hall
My mother looked up and glared in his direction
"You stay out of this" she snapped
My father laughed "Come on let's go" he said as he picked her up and carted her back the way he came
"I don't want to hear the rest" I snapped at Dimitri, as I handed him a tissue he took it and wiped the blood from his lip.
Christian came down the hall
"You I've been looking for you everywhere now follow me Guardian Hathaway"
My eyebrows shot up but followed him
"Ozera what's this about?" I asked but I got the silent treatment but as he pushed open the doors of the throne room. My worst nightmare was coming true
"Rose it's a trap, get out!" Lissa yelled
My vision blurred and black spots appeared
"Not again" I muttered the fell into darkness
