"No."
"Why?"
"Because I dislike you."
"YAY!"
"Why are you happy I dislike you?"
"Because last year you hated me, so if you only dislike me now it's an improvement."
"You're a sad little man, Potter."
4th year:
"I still dislike you, James."
"YAY!"
"Why are you happy this time?"
"Last year you called me Potter, this year you call me James."
"I only did that because you started calling me Lily."
"It still counts."
5th year:
"I guess you're not that bad, James."
"YAY!"
"Why are you happy this time?"
"Do you even need to ask?"
"No, but I have nothing better to do."
6th year:
"I like you, James."
"YAY!"
"You say yay too much."
"But you are very yay-worthy."
"Ok then. I take it that you like me too?"

7th year:

"WHOOP!"

"Whoop is much more mature than yay."

James' and Lily's mouth were too busy for yays or whoops. Though that didn't stop him from yaying and whooping in his head.
