A/N: This is it, fans. This is no accident that this would imply it's the end, the last book of my MK Khronology. It's based on Mortal Kombat Armageddon, and sometimes these epics, even the material I'm unfamiliar with, can really be a grind. Perhaps in the future, I might make a oneshot here and there as filler, but as always, my brain won't shut up on closing the last chapter of the klassic era. Just like what the Great Clement did saying farewell to classic Sonic and eventually his Sonic retrospective, I'm doing the same here...

Of course, it's gonna be a large chore to create, even when highlighting the end and Konquest, like the other epics, but it's to be expected.

For now, it shall take place soon after the events of Return of the Dragon King...

Prologue

After Liu Kang reunited his soul with his recovered body, courtesy of Raiden and Fujin in the Sky Temple, he settled with Kitana at Edenia for a while, away from the konstant konflicts. The Palace Grounds had astonishing sights to explore, and the royals and inhabitants were surprisingly friendly, including the Shokan and Centaurs who used to war with one another. The guards and monarchs were just as welcoming, and Jade and Sindel gave the pairing the greatest appreciation. Night soon fell, and the beta couple began to relax within Kitana's chambers. She...even proposed to him with an Edenian opal!

Their love began to flourish since that serene day and evening, and Kitana wished it would last forever, even the pyrokinetic.

However, due to having his duties as protector of Earthrealm, Liu soon left and mingled with the stupefied and ecstatic monks. He went, leaving a bewildered Kitana recollecting all the wrong doings she committed as being one of Onaga's generals and lamented on all the wars she and her allies fought, deep within her violet chambers. She even looked out her tall, arched window which was slightly agape as she breathed in the crisp air...

Suddenly, she felt a rush of hot air at the back of her neck... and saw a bright orange hue in her peripheral vision. She looked behind her abruptly, only to find what looked to be like a male humanoid, who almost had the same shades and koverings like Iron Man klad in krimson and canary. He stood as stiff as one of the stagnant trees contrary to those in the Living Forest.

In a vehement tone, he introduced himself as Blaze, the embodiment of fire, heat and lava.

Kitana was astonished, "Agh-Blaze...? The deity of Edenia, the creation of Lady Delia and Lord Argus...!"

"Indeed, I have come to alert you on a very serious manner."

He informed Kitana that her premonition of a looming conflict was correct, and that she must unite the forces of good once more for a koming battle to preserve the realms and all of existence. Disheartened, Kitana just fell to her knees.

She began to hunch over as she sobbed, her eyes flowing with tears. "When will it end...?" she implored in a shrill cry. "Every victory leads to more conflict and greater adversaries!"

Blaze simply just rose a hand and replied, "If all goes as planned, your enemies will be destroyed."

The Edenian slowly rose her head, pondering on the foreign entity's words...

Meanwhile, there was a disturbing vision in which all the Kombatants, within two factions, clashed each other brutally and to the death, scaring away a lone vulture who was munching on the remaining meat of a leftover corpse. Kintaro led the charge as he rose his arms and roared, while a massive army of darkness ran into a devastating fray. The forces of light rushed into the same wall of enemies within a steep crater!

A gruffy voice with an otherworldly accent boomed,

"There have been many powerful warriors throughout the millennia. But ages of Mortal Kombat have begun to tear and shatter all the realms. The critical point has finally been reached. It was foreseen the Kombatants would one day would grow too powerful and too immerse. If left unchecked, there would intensify a Kombat that would later shatter all the realms. To bring about the apocalypse.

"The Elder Gods demanded a safeguard, to avoid total destruction. One that would make peace of the Kombatants' insatiable blood lust. Like moths to the flame, they would be drawn to battle."

Numerous warriors were slain left and right, making the living and deceased hardly distinguishable. Moments later, a colossal pyramid rose from beneath the quaking ground, and just standing before the staircase, Stryker punched an assailant which kickstarted the murderous race to the summit!

"At the heat of destruction... alliances would be broken... and old hatreds...would be revived.

Kahn was carried away by Onaga, Bo' Rai Cho was slaughtered by Shang after he impaled Quan Chi. Shang then finished off Kenshi who was just mangled by the Oni, and then he was being halted by a chain strangling him. The warriors witnessed the same elemental Kitana met, only fully engulfed in flames as bright as the Phoenix, roaring and declaring to erase everyone!

"Armageddon...has begun...!"

That lethal battle faded in light...as that vision played out inside Raiden's mind, filling him with dread and panic, amongst other negative emotions. After he calmed from what seemed to be a night terror, he looked down at his amulet after he held his head and his vision cleared; it was beginning to show cracks on the fragile, grey-blue surface...

"Master Raiden?"

From behind, Liu Kang witnessed his mentor in distress. The Thunder God turned to see his most promising disciple, though he wasn't relieved. "Oh, Liu Kang..."

"I followed the sudden booms of thunder and erratic bolts of lightning emanating from the Temple. Are you hurt?"

"Ergh, no. But I have grown despondent over this vision I had..."

His eyes perked up, "A vision...? You mean...?"

"...You saw it as well? The impending battle of Armageddon?"

He bit his tongue and only let out a slow nod. Raiden just stood up and walked slowly over to the devoted monk. Liu looked up, with his guardian wearing a somber expression.

"Liu Kang... What I'm about to describe to you was a long-lost secret, only shared amongst us within the pantheon. And is forbidden for mortals to know... Those malevolent visions that we apparently both saw... Was the beginning of the end. The end of all the realms, all of existence. And that fiery entity was Blaze, who's supposed to be the embodiment of the end... Armageddon has begun."

At an opaque cavern, a female Edenian received word from her lover as she walked up to him. A male which looked Oriental consisting of a pair of white eyes and a thick, silvery do tied back into a thin ponytail gazed onto the same sacred medallion with golden and clear blue. Cracks began to form on its surface as he muttered in despair, "It has begun..."

A/N: I won't unveil the identity of the...random Oriental just yet. Although he would be a special addition throughout the story here! In fact, I'd been dropping hints here and there of this...God's involvement. But I won't fill in all the details.

I can't seem to find the transcript of the opening dialogue, so unfortunately, I'd have to do all this myself, muffled and otherwise... It sucks I need to mimic as much as possible especially the fight scenes, which seemed contrary to the roster I have; if you guys had read my previous epics, you'd see how different.

Songs here would include Intro from MK Armageddon, the Overture in MK9, and the epic cinematic trailer theme/remix of the MK Immortals theme by Alex Besss; no the three s's are no accident like I thought.

Only three people received disturbing visions of the end. The rest shall fall into place later on...
