Hotohori- What Can I Do For Her?
_
I can't believe it;
the man, a friend, who stood tall
before my power and love
in the name of his love for her,
has forgotten everything he was.
There is nothing I can do for her,
Not when I want to hold her Yet call her mine.
_
She's asking forgiveness, again,
tears and emotions overflowing.
Her pain is tearing me up inside.
I love her with al of my being;
I want her to know she's not alone.
Perhaps another love can help her forget.
"I'll stay by you" and protect you, I promise.
"I love you" I whisper, holding her weak body and aching heart
against mine; she cannot die, for both my sake and hers.
_
He's here? Light flares
in her eyes, with fear and hope?
She's still trapped in turmoil.
I cannot stand her despair, again.
In the name of my love for her,
I will not let this continue,
One way or Another.
_
"Have you truly forgotten
how much you loved her?'
Am I shouting to spur on his anger,
or wake him by calling to his dormant passion?
My sword's edge is justice and love;
as he is, I will not let him win.
He is just an ordinary man, so I will protect her.
_
Her scream echoes into my soul.
With my blade, I want to protect never hurt her.
I can only stand by, helplessly,
as his sword raises again to kill her.
but he hesitates. Can it be? I hope . . .
_
His sword trembles and falls.
She smiles once more,
And with the rain's end,
she stops crying.
It is enough.
Tamahome's perspective is next and in progress. I might break it into two sections, a before and after.
