Name: Mei Chang
Race: Asian-American. (Chinese)
Mei is a very sporty person, especially with extreme sports like on roller skates and running, who comes from a big family, being the second-youngest of six children. While she original starts out as a tough girl, she becomes more caring and understanding as time goes by. She is also tone deaf, and has a strong love for environment, due to her older sister, and often does what she can to help her and other people who try to protect it. Over time, she becomes close friends with the other Rangers despite their differences, and helps them out whenever she can.
Personality: Tomboyish, sporty, kind, caring, friendly, courageous.
Family: Grandma Chang, (Grandma) Mr. and Mrs. Chang, (Parents) Louis Chang, (Uncle), Harlod Chang, (Eldest brother), Sheldon Chang, (Older brother), Lucy Chang, (Older sister), Robert Chang, (Older brother), George Chang (Younger brother).

The Tryranozord roars.
On an island, Legendary Ranger Tommy Oliver, who had a small beard on his chin now, was standing in a building, breathing hard, as he was running away from something. He stopped to breathe for a moment, before he ran off down a hallway, passing several boxes and barrels with an A.M symbol that was crossed over. Sparks went off all around him as he kept on running, moving down some stairs.
A humanoid-dinosaur man in a black outfit with some spikes on, with three claws on each hand, a face like a skull with bits of red on the forehead called Mesogog came down the stairs, as a bunch of dinosaur-like creatures called Tyrannodrones came around him.
"Find him!" he ordered, his voice hissing. "Whatever it takes."
Tommy kept on running down a hallway, when he spotted a Tyrannodrone in front of him near some boxes and barrels. He turned and ran back the way he came, as the Tyrannodrone began to chase him. Sparks come up behind Tommy as he kept running, then part of the ceiling caved in, before he was knocked flying out of the building and into the jungle outside.
"AHHH!" he yelped, before hitting a wall. "Ah!"
He fell onto the ground on his chest, then he pulled himself up and panted. He looked at the building, before he turned and ran off through the jungle, knowing he had to get off the island.
Explosions went off all around the island, as Tommy kept on running, when two Tyrannodrones jumped up behind him from a bush. He stopped and turned as they made a noise, before they knocked him down onto his back.
"Ah!" he moaned, raising his legs up.
More Tyrannodrones popped up all around him as he got up and clutched his chest. He looked around and saw he was surrounded by them, some with tentacles for arms, telling him he was gonna have to fight his way out, then he gritted while getting ready to fight.
One came at him, but he kicked its chest, then spun around and kicked another, while dodging a kick from a third as it dived past him. He then punched a fourth's arm as it ran past him, then turned a blocked a fifth's kick with his hands, as a sixth dived past him, but ended up falling onto a seventh. He punched a eighth's chest, then he turned and elbowed a ninth's chest behind him, then he punched the eighth's chest and knocked it away. He spun around and grabbed a tenth's arm as it tried to hit him, while kicking an 11th's arm, knocking it down, then he blocked a 12th's punch with his forearm, before punching its chest. He turned and ducked as a 13th tried to pounce on him, but he hit its leg with his hand as it did, before it twirled around and landed on the ground.
It came at him via a sideways handspring, then tried to kick him, but missed as he ducked, then he blocked another's kick with his hands, before it got down to tackle him, but missed as he raised his leg up. He then blocked a kick from one with his elbow, but then it kicked his forearms while having one hand on the ground, knocking him away. Another two caught him and held him by the arms, then a third forward handspringed and kicked him with both feet, knocking him away.
"OH!" Tommy moaned, before hitting the ground.
He got to his knees and clutched his chest, then he rolled away as one tried to pounce and kick him. He kept rolling away as another two tried to do the same, before he stopped, then he separated his legs as a fourth nearly put its foot down on them. He then rolled slightly as a fifth tried to stomp on him, then the fourth tried again, before he wrapped his legs around its and tripped it up, then he tackled the fifth. He blocked a punch and then a kick from a sixth with his left leg, before kicking its chest, knocking it back before he rolled over, then he got up. He then jumped slightly and wrapped his legs around its head, knocking it down, then they both rolled away from each other.
Tommy got up and kicked ones arm as it came at him, then kicked another's chest, then stared at several more, before explosions went off behind him.
"WHOA!" he yelped, stumbling forward.
He fell onto his chest as the Tyrannodrones got knocked away, with some getting knocked down. More explosions went off around the island, then Tommy got up and ran for it as quickly as he could. He dived past a bush and out of the treeline, as several Tyrannodrones followed him, but then stopped when he came to the edge of a cliff.
"Not good." Tommy said.
He turned around as an explosion knocked the Tyrannodrones away, making him turn back.
"HA!" he yelled, diving off the cliff.
Explosions went off behind him as he did so, then he hit and went beneath the water, followed by some logs. He rose up from the water and looked at the island, as a massive explosion went off, causing it to sink beneath the ocean, telling him he'd escaped just in time.
Some years later, Tommy stood outside a building by a sign saying 'Reefside High School', as a bell rang, and a bunch of High School students ran towards the building.
"Holly, wait up?" a girl called. "Wait up?"
Tommy lifted up some glasses slightly, before he turned and walked towards the school, carrying some books under his arm, as the school bus arrived.
Once inside, he walked down a hallway, passing by people as he did.
"Hi." he said.
"Dr. Oliver." came a voice.
Tommy turned to a woman with pixie-cut black hair and glasses.
"I'm Principal Randall." she said.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you." Tommy said, holding his hand out. "It's, uh, your first day too, isn't it?"
"Yes." Principal Randall said, opening up a binder. "And I'm still trying to figure out why a Doctor of Palaeontology would come all the way to Reefside to teach science to teenagers?"
"Guess I'm looking for some peace and quiet." Tommy answered.
"So, you become a High School teacher? That really doesn't make a whole lot of sense now, does it, Dr. Oliver?" Principal Randall inquired, closing the binder as they stopped and turned to each other.
"You know, I was thinking; maybe we should get together." Tommy suggested. "This way, you can kind of fill me in on what you expect of me."
"I expect you to make it hard for them." Principal Randall explained. "Painful if at all possible. If they smile, you know you're doing something wrong. Now, I'm off to find my first truant. We'll talk later."
She walked off past him down the hallway, leaving him confused.
Inside the Science classroom, the students were all either sitting down or throwing paper at each other.
"Ah!" some girls freaked.
Among them, was an African-American boy in blue called Ethan James, a Chinese Asian girl in purple tomboyish clothes called Mei Chang, a girl dressed in yellow neo-punk clothes called Kira Ford, a blonde girl called Cassidy Cornell, and a boy with brown hair called Devin Del Valle.
Tommy opened the door to the classroom, seeing what was going on.
"Guys!" he called. "Settle down! Take your seats please."
Kira wrote something on some paper, while Ethan played on a laptop, while Mei turned to him and gasped. The students all sat down as Tommy walked towards his desk, then turned to them all.
"I'm, uh, Dr. Oliver, and this is first period Science." Tommy began. "Before we start, are there any questions?"
Cassidy held up her hand.
"Yes?" Tommy said, pointing at her.
"Cassidy, Cassidy Cornell." Cassidy said, getting up.
"Oh!" the class moaned, expect Devon.
Kira rolled her eyes and went back to her writing, as Mei put her left hand over her eyes in annoyance.
"Dr. Oliver, as you may know, I'm the Anchor and Field Reporter for our school TV Station." Cassidy began.
Some of the class laughed as Ethan turned away.
"Anyway, I'm sure our viewers are wondering... Well, you don't really look old enough to be a teacher." Cassidy said.
Tommy touched his glasses slightly, for she reminded him slightly of his friend Sophie Davis, the photographer, even though Sophie was never like this.
"Devin, are you getting this?" Cassidy asked, turning around.
Devon got up with a video camera as she turned back around.
"Cassidy, I promise you, I'm old enough." Tommy assured. "So, let's put the camera away?"
"You missed it!" Cassidy hissed, turning to Devin, who lowered the camera.
"For now, let's talk about you guys, and what you expect of yourselves in this class." Tommy said, getting everyone's attention, as Cassidy and Devon sat down. "'Cause that's what's really important."
He then noticed an empty chair in the front near Cassidy.
"Is, uh, someone missing?" Tommy asked.
The missing student, who was a brown-haired boy called Conner McKnight, was out in the field, wearing a red soccer uniform. He kicked up a soccer ball, as another boy dressed in a hockey helmet, gloves and leg pads stood by one of the goals. Conner kicked it repeatedly with his feet, then kicked it onto his right shoulder, which rolled over to his left, before it fell down, then he began kicking it up again.
"Ah..." the boy muttered, nervously.
Conner kicked the ball up high, then jumped up and twirled around, before he kicked and shot the ball towards the goal, but the boy was so scared, he ducked.
"Ah!" he yelped, as Conner landed on his feet.
"Dude, you're supposed to try and stop it." Conner said.
"You sure we're not gonna get in trouble for this?" the boy asked. "I mean, the bell rang and it's the first day."
"Look, if anyone says anything, tell them 'Conner McKnight gave you permission to be out here'." Conner explained.
"Yeah, but I heard the new Principal is crazy." the boy said, touching his helmet. "She worked in a prison or something before she came here."
"Don't worry about Randall. She's a woman." Conner scoffed, as Principal Randall herself came up behind him. "And woman are just grown-up girls."
The boy stuttered and pointed behind him.
"Need I say more?" Conner said.
"I think you've said quite enough, Mr. McKnight." Principal Randall said, making him gasp.
He breathed coolly, before he turned around and smiled at her, as the boy covered his mask with his gloves.
"Principal Randell? I have heard such great things about you." Conner said.
"Vicious rumours, I can assure you." Principal Randall said. "Go!"
Conner sighed before he walked off, defeated.
"What are you looking at?" the Principal asked.
The boy gasped as she kicked a ball right towards him, hitting his chest so hard, it knocked him against the net, and then onto his chest.
"Now get back to class!" she ordered, as Conner looked speechless.
The boy got up and walked off, as the Principal straightened her outfit, and walked towards Conner.
A little later, Ethan and a boy with glasses walked into a shack near the school.
"Okay, all clear." Ethan smirked, putting his bag off his shoulders. "Check this out."
He put it down on a table, then pulled out his laptop from it, which he opened up.
"I wrote a program." Ethan smirked.
The other boy watched as Ethan plugged a cable from the laptop into a plug wall, then he began to type on it.
"It generates a code, so that the sprinklers go off at different times every day." he smirked.
The boy watched with glee as Ethan worked.
Elsewhere, Mei was now skating on some roller skates along a pathway in the school grounds, with a backpack on her back. She turned right along the path, but then stopped when Principal Randall showed up nearby with Conner.
"Um, Principal Randall?!" she gasped.
"Miss. Chang, I'm afraid skating during school hours is against the rules." Principal Randell said.
"But-" Mei began.
"Especially in the grounds and on a pathway!" Principal Randall snapped. "Now, take those off and come with me?"
Mei sighed as she sat down on a nearby bench to take off her skates, as Principal Randall and Conner walked off.
A little later, Kira was sitting at a table, playing a guitar and singing, as other people either sat nearby on the grass or walked past her, including a couple who sat down behind her.

Principal Randall came over to her as several people clapped and cheered, with Conner and Mei right behind her, Mei in normal shoes while carrying her skates over her shoulder.
"Ms. Ford, I'm afraid you need written permission to play on the school grounds." Principal Randell said, writing on her notebook. "Let's go?"
"Are you aware that kids who play an instrument have a 50% higher chance of getting into collage?" Kira asked.
"Well, you're hardly collage martial, are you, Ms. Ford." Principal Randall said, lowering her glasses slightly, before closing up her notebook. "Now come with me?"
She walked off as Kira sighed and got off the table with her guitar. She began to follow the Principal, followed by Conner and Mei, when the sprinklers suddenly came on, soaking everyone.
"WHOA/AH!" people gasped, moving away.
Everyone moved out of the way as some people ran off screaming.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me?" Kira said annoyed.
She began to wipe the water off her guitar, as Principal Randall looked around.
"This is just great." Kira complained.
"Tell me about it." Mei agreed, looking at herself.
Principal Randall kept looking around, and spotted Ethan walking around with an umbrella, telling her who did this.
"Ethan James." she hissed, as he walked off proudly. "I should've known."
A little later, Principal Randall led the four teens down a hallway towards her office.
"Sit!" she commanded, pointing at a bench.
Conner sat down on it, followed by Mei, Kira, and then Ethan.
"Principal Randall, I'd just like to mention the fact that there's absolutely no hard evidence linking me to that unfortunate sprinkler incident." Ethan said.
"Save it for Judge Judy, Mr. James!" Principal Randall snarled. "The four of you have detention for one week, starting today. Now if there are no further questions-"
"What?" Conner and Ethan said.
"I have Computer Club!" Ethan argued.
"I have-" Kira began.
"I've got-" Mei started.
"I didn't think so!" Principal Randall snapped.
She turned and walked towards her office door, opening it up, before slamming it behind her, leaving the four teens alone.
"Okay, someone seriously needs a hug." Kira said.
Mei turned and hugged her from the side sympathetically.
"Will that do?" she asked.
Kira nodded.
"Dude, Computer Club?" Conner inquired, turning to Ethan.
Later, at the end of the school day, Principal Randall met up with Tommy in a hallway near some stairs.
"Dr. Oliver, how was your first day?" she asked.
"Ah, the kids were great." Tommy assured, as they walked up the stairs. "No problem."
"Good. You're gonna be seeing a lot more of them in detention." Principal Randall explained.
"Mind telling me what I did?" Tommy asked.
"No, you're in charge of it today." Principal Randall explained.
"Uh, no. Actually, I have plans to go to a museum outside of town." Tommy explained.
"Perfect, bring the little monsters with you." Principal Randall said, as they rounded a corner. "That should be sufficient torture for them."
They both stopped by the four students, who all leaned against a classroom door - Conner in normal clothes, with he and the girls dried up.
"You've all met, I trust?" Principal Randall hoped. "Well, enjoy your little outing."
She walked off as Tommy turned to her, then to the teens and took off his glasses.
"So, you guys like museums?" he asked.
Later, Tommy and the four teens were all in a black jeep, which he parked in front of the museum, which had a giant T-Rex standing outside.
"Whoa. Check out the T-Rex." Ethan said.
They all got out of the jeep and walked towards the museum, but saw a sign saying 'Sorry, we're closed'.
"That's weird." Tommy said.
"Oh, well, no museum for us." Conner sighed, putting his hand in his pockets.
"Great, let's go home." Kira said.
"I'll tell you what, I want you guys to have a look around the grounds." Tommy said, turning to the teens. "If any of you guys find anything Prehistoric, I'll cancel detention for the rest of the week."
"Sweet." Ethan said.
"Sounds good to me." Mei said.
"I'm gonna see if I can find someone who can tell us when they're opening up." Tommy explained.
The four teens all turned around and began to walk off into the woods
"So, let me get this straight; they have a club just for computers?" Conner asked Ethan.
Tommy approached the front door of the museum, seeing a sign on it, which had the same symbol from back on the island, saying it was under new management.
"'In case of emergency, call Anton Mercer Industries'." he read. "Anton Mercer? That's impossible?"
Meanwhile, the teens were all walking through the forest, looking around.
"Hey, did you guys ever hear the story about the guy who was hiking out here and fell in a giant sinkhole?" Ethan asked.
"Must've missed that one." Kira shrugged.
Ethan scoffed and turned around. "Come on? It was on all the Urban Legend websites." he said.
"I don't listen to that stuff unless it's in the news." Mei said. "I don't believe in legends."
"Dude, you know this isn't Computer Club, right?" Conner asked.
"Oh, I guess you're too big and bad to surf the web?" Ethan mocked, as Conner was the tallest. "Well, what do you do in your spare time?"
"Me? I go out with girls." Conner said. "You know, they're the ones at school who smell really good, with the long hair and makeup."
"Ugh." Mei said, disgusted, walking off.
"Oh, it's like that, is it?" Ethan asked, hitting Conner playfully as they stopped.
"Yeah, it's like that." Conner said, glaring at him.
Kira rolled her eyes and walked after Mei.
"Whatever." she said.
Conner smirked and walked after the girls.
"All I'm trying to do is give you guys the heads up." Ethan said, following them slowly. "Stuff happens out here. Just don't come crying to me when you fall in a giant sinkhole."
He then fell into one.
"AH!" he yelped.
Conner and the girls all fell through another one.
"WHOA!" Conner yelped.
"AH!" the girls yelped.
Back at the museum, Tommy turned around, but saw the T-Rex had gone.
"Huh? Where did...?" he wondered.
He backed away slightly, then turned around when he heard some large footsteps, then he looked up, and saw the T-Rex standing above him.
"Wha?" he muttered, as it roared. "Huh?"
The T-Rex blew stuff on him, then he spun around and jumped, kicking its head and making it move back slightly. He then ran off towards his jeep, knowing he had no chance against it. He turned around while opening the door, seeing the T-Rex moving towards him, then he got into his jeep and locked the door.
"Great. Yeah, lock the door, Tommy." he said. "Really good."
He took his keys out of his pocket, then began to start the engine, as the T-Rex approached him.
"Come on!" Tommy hissed.
The T-Rex roared as he fastened his seatbelt, then he reversed his jeep away from it. He skidded it around 180 degrees, then raced it along the road, as the T-Rex chased after him.
Meanwhile, the four teens all found themselves in a tunnel, covered in dirt. They all looked up at a light above them, seeing a hole in the ceiling of the tunnel.
"Alright, you guys, stay here where it's safe." Conner said. "I'll climb up and come back with help."
Ethan clutched his chest while Kira and Mei clutched an arm each, as Conner approached the left wall. He began to climb up it, but then his hand slipped,and he fell to the floor.
"Whoa!" he yelped, hitting it on his back.
"Back already?" Ethan asked sarcastically.
He and Kira helped Conner up slightly as Mei approached the wall.
"Let me try?" she asked. "I've climbed up walls before."
"Huh?" Conner muttered.
Mei began to climb up the wall, but then slipped and fell down onto the floor.
"Ah!" she moaned.
"Nice work." Conner said sarcastically, helping her up.
"Guess it's harder to climb than I thought." Mei deduced.
"What made you think you could?" Ethan inquired.
"I do extreme sports, which includes climbing." Mei explained.
"Oh." Ethan said.
Above ground, Tommy kept racing his jeep along the road, as the T-Rex kept chasing him. He turned back to it, then sped up his jeep, then turned back again, before the T-Rex banged the back of it with its head.
"Ah!" Tommy gritted.
He skidded his jeep along the road, still trying to outrun the T-Rex.
Back in the tunnel, the four teens were all walking along it, seeing no other way to get out, using the airholes for light to help them see, Kira singing her song as she did.
"Freak you out

Freak you out." she sang.
"Babe, can you keep it down?" Conner asked, walking past her. "I'm trying to stay focused here."
"Did you just call me 'babe'?" Kira asked offended, pointing at Conner, before turning to the others. "Did he just call me 'babe'?"
"I don't know." Ethan shrugged. "I wasn't listening. I was still grooving to your tune."
"Yeah, it's kinda catchy." Mei admitted.
Kira walked towards Conner in anger, who turned to her.
"What? Look, just chill out, why don't ya?" he said.
"Listen, my name is Kira." Kira said annoyed, pointing at herself. "Maybe you should write it on your hand or something, so you can remember?"
She turned and walked off, with Mei and Ethan right behind her, both shrugging.
Above ground, Tommy raced his jeep towards a small bridge, as the T-Rex kept chasing him.
"Oh!" he said, spotting it.
He sped up his jeep, then raced it past the bridge, but the T-Rex was too tall, as it banged its head on it, knocking part of it off. It then fell down onto its side, making Tommy skid his jeep to a halt. He panted as he unfastened his seatbelt, then he got out and ran towards the T-Rex, seeing it was a giant robot, as sparks and wiring came out of the head. He crouched down to get a better look, then turned right, wondering who could've done this.
Back in the tunnel, the four teens had come across a large skeleton of a Stegosaurus on a wall.
"This screams Jurassic Park to me." Kira said.
"This will get us out of detention forever." Conner said.
He reached for the skeleton.
"Do you think you should-" Kira began, as Conner pulled its jaw down.
"Whoa!" Ethan gasped.
"Look?" Mei said, as a wall began to rise up in front of them.
Once it stopped, they all saw a secret lab, filled with computers and other stuff, including skeletons of some dinosaurs. On some of the pillars, was a footprint symbol with three spikes on top and one on the bottom, and the floor had four larger ones close together.
"Whoa." Ethan said.
They all walked inside and looked around in amazement.
"This place is amazing." Mei admitted. "I've never seen this kind of stuff before."
"I could do a crazy video in here." Kira said.
"Whoa." Conner said, passing Ethan. "This must be like the Mothership for you, dude."
"Normally, I'd be insulted." Ethan said. "But when you're right, you're right."
Conner approached a small rock in the middle of the room, that had four gems on it, as he reached for one.
"Yo, don't touch that!" Ethan said.
"Why not?" Conner asked.
Ethan and the girls approached the rock. (Mei was on Ethan's right)
"You really are taking this dumb jock thing to a whole new level." Ethan said.
"Look, I have sat though enough lame Science classes to know that thing looks fully Prehistoric." Conner said, pointing at the gems. "And if I don't have to miss practice..."
"I hate to agree with him. Really, I do, but I already missed one rehearsal." Kira said.
"And I've missed training for the upcoming sports competition." Mei said.
Ethan sighed, giving in, then they all reached in and took a gem each, which glowed as they picked them up. Conner's was red, Ethan's blue, Kira's yellow, and Mei's purple.
"Well, what are they?" Kira asked.
"I have no idea." Mei said. "It's not like anything Prehistoric I've seen."
"Well, I can go online later and see if I can find out." Ethan offered.
"You in front of a computer." Conner scoffed, as the gems stopped glowing. "Wait, let me put on my surprised face."
"You know, 10 years from now, when your hairline's receding and you're playing pick-up soccer in the park because your dreams of turning pro never quite worked out, I'll have my own multi-million dollar software business." Ethan smirked. "Yeah."
"Oh, brother." Mei sighed, turning away.
Kira turned and walked away towards the doorway.
"Where you going?" Ethan asked.
Kira stopped and turned to the others.
"I don't wanna think about what kind of freak lives in a place like this, and I sure don't wanna be here when it gets home." she said, turning around.
"She's right." Mei agreed, following her. "We better go."
"Right behind ya." Conner said.
He and Ethan both pocketed their gems and ran after the girls.
Meanwhile, an island rose up out of the ocean, with a fortress building on a hill area. Inside the fortress, was Mesogog and six Tyrannodrones, who all stood inside a lab, which had cannisters filled with all sorts of objects, plants and animal parts, with water in them.
"The gems have moved." Mesogog said. "I can feel them."
He turned to the Tyrannodrones.
"Go!" he commanded. "Bring them to me."
The Tyrannodrones all turned and ran off towards a door, which opened up.
In the tunnel, Ethan ran down it towards some light.
"This way!" he said.
Kira, Mei and Conner all followed him, before they all came out of the tunnel and back into the woods.
"Well, we're back in the woods." Mei said, as Kira dusted off her sleeves. "Now what?"
"Compass. We need a compass. Anybody have a compass?" Ethan asked, as they walked off.
"Oh, I was gonna bring one." Conner said sarcastically.
They all walked off slightly, before they heard a windy noise.
"What was that?" Ethan asked, as they stopped.
"The wind." Kira guessed.
"Sounded like it." Mei said.
"That ain't the wind." Ethan said, as they looked around. "As much as we'd like it to be, it ain't."
A bunch Tyrannodrones came out of portal on their left.
"Huh?" they muttered, turning left.
More Tyrannodrones came out of another portal near the first bunch, which they stared at.
"Don't...move." Conner hissed quietly.
"Great idea." Kira gritted. "Make it easy for them."
"Yeah, nice idea." Mei gritted.
"New plan; run!" Ethan said.
The four teens turned and ran off into the woods, as the Tyrannodrones began to chase after them. Conner, Ethan and Mei all jumped over a ditch ahead of them, but when Kira tried, she fell short, and then rolled down it.
"Ah!" she yelped. "Whoa!"
The other teens all stopped and turned around, then ran back for her, as she got up.
"Come on?" Conner said, holding his hand out with Ethan.
Kira took them, then they both helped her out of the ditch.
"Let's go!" Mei said.
They all turned and ran off, just as a Tyrannodrone landed in the ditch, followed by two more. They all climbed out as more jumped over and down into it, then they all kept chasing the teens.
"Uh!" Kira moaned, tripping over.
She landed on her side, then turned around as some Tyrannodrones got close to her.
"AGHHHHHHH!" she screamed, but a sonic screech came out of her mouth, which knocked the closet Tyrannodrones back and onto their backs.
"AHH!" the other teens moaned, their hands over their ears.
They all turned around as Kira stopped screaming, shocked by what she'd done, before they ran towards her.
"Help her up?" Conner said.
He and Ethan took Kira's arms and helped her up.
"What was that?" Ethan asked.
"I have no idea." Kira answered honestly.
She felt something glow yellow inside her pocket, making her pull out her gem as the others looked at her, then she heard a Pterodactyl roar from it.
"Uh, guys." Mei said, pointing at the Tyrannodrones.
The others looked at them, then they all turned and ran off in different directions, hoping to split them up.
Kira then suddenly stopped and turned around to the ones who'd followed her, then she began to feel confident. She dodged as one tried to pounce on her, then she grabbed another's arm and punched its chest, knocking it down. She knocked another's arm up, then punched its chest, then spun around as a fourth came at her, hitting the back of its shoulder with her hand, then she blocked a fifth's kick with her hand. She then punched a sixth while leaning her right leg out to kick a seventh behind her, then she spun around to dodge as a the third came at her. She blocked a kick from it with her hand, then blocked a whack from a eighth's tentacle arm with her forearms, then ducked as it tried to punch her. She then blocked twos arms with her forearms, then she ducked as one tried to punch her, then kicked the other's arm, then spun around and kicked them both, knocking them down.
Mei dodged slightly as one tried to kick her, then another kicked her in the back, knocking her forward. A third then whacked her in the chest with its tentacle arm, causing her to fall onto her back.
"Oh!" she moaned.
She gasped and rolled over as it tried to stomp on her, then she got up and turned around. A fourth ducked and tried to tackle her, but missed as she jumped up very high, shocking her, before she dived down and landed crouched down near a tree.
"What the?" she gasped. "How'd I do that?"
A glow came from her hand, then she opened it up, showing her gem was glowing, then she heard a Camptosaurus roar from it. She then turned and got up, then jumped as one tried to tackle her, making it and another look up, as she dived back down, then she kicked them both, knocking them away. She then landed and turned around, then did a backwards somersault as a third tried to punch her, making it miss, then she landed nearby and tackled it and a fourth.
One kicked Ethan in the chest, knocking him as another two grabbed him, then he lifted his legs to try and kick two more, but they grabbed his feet, then all four of them then threw him away.
"AH!" he yelped.
He hit the ground and rolled over onto his chest, then he pulled himself up to his knees. One then moved to whack him with its tentacle arm as he crossed his forearms over, but they turned metal and blocked it.
"Huh?" Ethan muttered.
He separated his arms, knocking the Tyrannodrone down, then he looked at himself.
"Something's happening to me?" he said, looking at his forearms.
A glow came from his hand, then he opened it up, showing his gem was glowing, then he heard a Triceratops roar from it. He grinned, then blocked a Tyranndone's arm with his right arm, knocking it back, then he whacked another's chest with it, then slammed a third's chest with it, knocking it away.
Conner pushed one away from him while standing near a tree, then another kicked his chest.
"Oh!" he moaned, before it grabbed and threw him away. "Whoa!"
He hit another tree, then fell onto his chest near it. A glow came from his hand, then he opened it up, showing his gem was glowing, then he heard a Tyrannosaurus roar from it.
"Huh?" he muttered, turning right.
A Tyrannodrone moved to whack him with its tentacle arm, but he got up so quickly he was like a blur, then he kicked its arm, making it spin around and fall down.
"Whoa. Everything's so slow." he said, his voice echoing.
He turned as two Tyrannodrones jumped towards him slowly, then he moved and got between them both. He turned and kicked one in the chest, then turned quickly and kicked another's chest, knocking them both away. One hit a tree and fell onto its chest, while the other landed on its chest near some more, as Conner grinned.
"Over here!" he called.
The four teens all gathered together, all surprised by what they had done while holding their gems.
"Yo, how much do I love detention." Ethan grinned, holding his hand.
"Hey!" Tommy called, coming towards them.
The four teens gasped and pocketed their gems before he came towards them.
"Are you guys alright?" Tommy asked.
"Uh..." Kira muttered.
"Yeah." Ethan said. "Couldn't be better."
"Yeah, all's fine and dandy." Mei said.
"Nothing out of the ordinary happen?" Tommy asked.
"Nah. Just your routine hike the woods." Ethan said, as Conner nodded. "Lots of furry little creatures."
"And a few scaly ones." Kira added, mumbling.
Tommy looked at her confused.
"Nothing but tiny lizards, Dr. Oliver." Mei lied, assuringly.
"So, you get into the Dino Exabit?" Conner asked, changing the subject.
"Uh, they're still working the kinks out." Tommy explained. "We better get you guys back. Come on."
He turned around and walked off, with the teens slowly following.
"Don't you guys think we should tell him?" Kira asked.
"I don't know about you, but I've got over a thousand sci-fi DVDs." Ethan said. "You wanna know how many times the dudes with the superpowers ends up in some freaky government lab, lying on a table with wires in his head."
"Even I know that." Conner said, as they stopped and looked at each other.
"So do I." Mei said. "My little brother George is a comic book geek, and I've seen him read similar stuff happening to certain heroes who are considered freaks just because they're different."
"You mean the X-Men?" Ethan inquired.
Mei nodded.
Tommy stopped and turned to them all.
"Are you guys coming?" he asked.
The teens all turned to him, then walked towards him.
After getting back to the school, the four teens were all walking together.
"Okay, so we all agree, no one talks about this to anyone, no matter what." Conner said.
"I can do better than that." Kira said, turning around.
"What do you mean?" Mei inquired.
Kira handed Conner her gem. "I'm out of it." she said. "Just forget I was here, and I'll do the same."
"Wait; how come he gets it?" Ethan inquired.
"Well here!" Kira said, taking the gem from Conner and giving it to him.
Nearby, Cassidy and Devin were walking together near a wall.
"I'm telling you, there's something weird about Dr. Oliver." Cassidy said, as Devin put a small box under his arm. "I mean, seriously, I called Angel Grove High, and they wouldn't tell me anything."
Devon took her handbag as they kept on walking.
"It's like his private record is some big secret." Cassidy scoffed.
"Yeah, I kinda thought that's why they call them private records." Devin said.
Cassidy then spotted Conner, Ethan, Kira and Mei together, confusing her.
"I mean, if they were public-" Devin began.
Cassidy grabbed his hand and dragged him off past a car, then they both peeked out from behind the hood.
"What?" Devin asked.
"Don't you think that's a little odd?" Cassidy asked.
"A bunch of kids standing around talking." Devin said. "Yeah, freaky, man."
"No, think about it?" Cassidy said. "Why would Conner McKnight, King of all Jocks, be hanging out with Ethan James?"
Devin turned to her. "Huh?" he muttered.
"King of all Geeks." she said, annoyed.
"Oh, yeah, right." Devin said, getting her.
"Not to mention Mei Chang, the tomboy sportswoman, hanging out with Kira Ford, the Avial wannabe." Cassidy said, as Devin handed her some lipstick. "I mean, seriously, in the three years we've been here at Reefside, have you ever seen them look at each other? 'Cause I haven't."
"You know what, I give up!" Kira frowned, walking off.
The other teens all looked at her, including Cassidy and Devin, when the familiar wind hit her.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding?" she said, looking around.
Two Tyrannodrones came out of nowhere and grabbed her arms, making her drop her bag, as another two showed up.
"Get away, freak!" she demanded.
"Ah!" Ethan and Mei gasped.
"Kira!" Conner called, as they ran forward.
"Camera! Get the camera." Cassidy said, excitedly.
"Oh, yeah, yeah." Devin said. "Right."
"Kira!" Conner called, throwing his ball away.
Devin opened up the box, causing the equipment inside to fall to the ground.
"Oh, hurry!" Cassidy said.
A Tyrannodrone gagged Kira with its hand, before they all vanished via a portal.
"Kira!" Conner and Mei cried.
They and Ethan all stopped near Kira's bag and looked around, which Conner then picked up.
"So, what do you see?" Cassidy asked, as Devin looked through the camera.
"Oh, you gotta check this out." he said, taking his eye out of it. "I've got an awesome shot."
He opened up the side, but Cassidy saw nothing on it.
"There's nothing there." she said.
Conner, Ethan and Mei all looked around frantically.
"She's gone." Ethan said, as they turned to her.
"But where?" Mei wondered.
Later, Conner was driving his Camaro along a road, with Ethan sitting beside him, and Mei in the back, all wanting to find something to help find them find Kira.
"Okay, so where we going?" Conner asked.
"Uh, Dr. Oliver's." Ethan answered.
"What's he gonna do?" Conner asked.
"He's a Dinosaur guy." Ethan said, bringing a small tablet out of his pocket. "These things are Dinosaurs, sort of."
"He's got a point." Mei agreed.
"Alright, so where does he live?" Conner asked.
Ethan began to work on his tablet, getting Tommy's address and phone number.
"Uh, 19-92 Valancia Road." he explained.
"Valancia Road." Conner repeated. "That... That's like way out in the middle of the woods?"
"Why would he wanna live there?" Mei wondered.
"You got me." Ethan shrugged.
Conner drove his Camaro off along the road, and soon came towards a house in the woods. He pulled over in front of it, then he and Ethan got out of it, before Mei pushed the front left chair forward to get out herself, then the boys closed the doors. They all then ran towards the house, hoping their new teacher was in, then Ethan knocked on the door as Conner and Mei looked through a window, seeing no sign as no one answered.
"Knock again." Conner suggested.
Ethan knocked again, but again, got no answer.
"Maybe he's not in." Mei said.
"Well, now what?" Ethan asked.
Conner walked towards the door and opened it, shocking the others.
"What are you doing?" Ethan asked.
"Why would he leave it unlocked?" Conner asked.
"He's got no neighbours." Ethan reasoned.
"True, it is lonely out here." Mei said.
"What? You two never heard of the three bears?" Conner asked, walking into the house.
"Is that the last book you read?" Ethan teased, following him.
Mei followed them both, then they soon entered a room which had a desk with a laptop on, a few pictures, and a skeleton T-Rex on a table.
"Dr. Oliver!" Conner called.
"Hello!" Ethan called.
"You here?" Mei called.
"Hey, check it out?" Conner said.
He approached the T-Rex to touch it, as Ethan and Mei approached him.
"Hey, remember what happened last time you did that?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah, when we found those gems and got chased by those creeps that kidnapped Kira." Mei recalled, folding her arms.
"Dudes, the guy's a teacher, not..." Conner began, pulling the jawbone down.
All three teens saw a secret hatch open up in front of them.
"...Batman." Conner finished, speechless.
They all walked down a set of steps, which led them into the same place they found the gems.
"This is the same place?" Ethan said, as they looked around.
"Okay, I have a bad feeling about this." Mei gulped.
"Are you freaking out right now?" Conner asked.
"Yeah." Ethan answered, as they turned around. "I'd have to say I am."
"So am I." Mei gulped.
Tommy came up behind the three of them.
"If you're looking for extra credit, you're in the wrong place." he said, as the three teens turned to him.
The teens all turned to each other, shocked that their teacher knew about this place.
Meanwhile, Kira lay asleep on a long chair inside the weird lab in the Fortress on the island, as Mesogog approached her.
"Ah, excellent." he said.
He got behind her and touched the head of the chair, as Kira moved her head slightly, then he looked up, very pleased with himself.
A/N: Due to the Dino Thunder Rangers having certain things in common with the Mighty Morphin Rangers, I'm giving Mei certain similarities to both Sophie and Trini. Try and see if you can spot them, as I'm not telling you.
