~Author's Note:
In order to finish some unfinished work from the BIONICLE realm, I decided to collide with a previous work (BIONICLE: Brotherhood of the Elements Books 1 – 4) into this crossover with Free! Thus, it will be my 2nd BIONICLE crossover arc with the swimming anime since Gen 2.0 Book 3: Realm of the Bio-Chronicles.
The previous title "War of the Allegiant Twins" is a major story arc that will start here in Book 5 but will be more prominent in the Movie Novel.

Prologue: The Allegiant Twins
Flashback: Idaina Magna…
A woman…or rather a concept force of a woman screamed out in labor as she held her hands onto the nurse and her husband on each side.
"Take it easy! Breathe in! Breathe out!" the nurse chimed in.
Pandora gasped in and out as she hadn't felt this pain of labor since Alex and Rasputin back on Duniya all the while ago. She looked at her husband, the former king of the Chiropterans, briefly for a moment before making another attempt to push the baby out.
"You're almost there! Just a little more!" the nurse continued.
"I'm with you," Dodecadron reassured her.
Finally on three, Pandora made her final cry as they both heard a sync of cries of the newborn.
"W-wait a second…" Dodecadron muttered.
The nurse revealed a new pair of baby twins, both male like the last time. Despite the fact that was their reveal, Pandora begged to hold them by her side as she cried tearfully with joy once more. Once the dust finally settled, the couple looked at each other while the babies were being washed and cleaned.
"I…I don't believe it," Pandora realized the truth of nature, "Again?"
"Is it another prophecy?" her husband asked.
"I hope not. We only had one name…Artemis…I don't know another name for the other child…I…" she began to slightly panic.
"Well…let me pick one this time," he said as he thought for a moment before answering, "Apollo."
To his surprise, she agreed on it, "Artemis…Apollo…our new twins to the family. We'll have to let the others know soon."
"Including…them?" he asked.
"It's the right thing to do," she replied as the nurse returned the twins, each of them to hold onto.
"What about your…sister…wouldn't she know their future fates?" he asked.
"…I don't want to roll that dice again. Let's believe that everything will be alright now. This world…or rather…this afterworld is secured from all the other realms and the grasps of Chaos," she answered.
"I do hope so too. But…being both of us as the former Dark Ones…I'm afraid that whatever we have done…it isn't over yet," he shrugged.
Pandora kept silent but deep down she knew her husband was right. Chaos is still out there in the realms of any and all that exists. Was this place no exception? Now that Cosmos' original body was destroyed, a new one had to be inherited. Pandora looked at her child Artemis and realized that the time was approaching to select the one who will continue the existence of space-time.
"What's the matter?" Dodecadron asked.
"…It's nothing," Pandora sighed, "I need some rest."
Present Day: Taiao, Polaris, Articora…
Artemis stared at his twin Apollo as a small sphere of light returned to him, floating above his left hand.
"Half of my soul. I gave this to you...a long time ago. After I awoke and the seal was broken...the bridge between Chaos and Cosmos did what it could to stop it," Artemis narrated, "But...it doesn't matter how hard you try. Once broken...a seal made by the Omni Contract cannot be repaired."
With a swift of his hand, he uses his powers to release the guardians from the darkness's grip
"I'm sure the megane knew that...but he only kept on trying...for YOUR sake. But because of that, he lost one of his eyes," he continued.
"R-Rei-chan?" Nagisa trembled.
Apollo looked at the fallen megane as the blond was screaming in panic in the background. Artemis ignored him.
"I have always been watching you through my heart this entire time..." he stares at his twin more seriously, "Everything that you've been through with your life, everyone that you met...IT WASN'T MY SOUL THAT LOVED WHAT COSMOS CREATED, THAT PART OF IT WAS ALL YOURS, WASN'T IT!?"
Without another word, Apollo lunges forward, attacking his twin with his feet like a martial art and karate fight. Artemis responded in defense but was being thrown across the area.
"We can't let them wreck this place!" Alex gasped.
"Are we able to transform!?" Makoto asked.
Before anyone could attempt, they turned to see the arrival of the four spirits and Articora!Alex as they saw Rei tossed to the side with a small puddle of blood. The latter screamed in distress as the four spirits soared over to protect their master. Apollo turned his head to see them and fired a shadowy attack. However, Artemis leaped in and repelled with its light magic.
CRACK-CRACK-CRACK
The voided ground cracked a little like glass as some mysterious magic leaked out a little. Apollo narrowed his eyes before manipulating it to create a new outfit of his own.
"Enjoy this moment you have…" Apollo spoke through Suiei Chaos, "BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE MANY LEFT!"
Before anyone could reply, Apollo roars and unleashes dark explosive magic to throw everyone around. Artemis quickly threw up a bunch of magical circles to keep everyone afloat as everyone was knocked out by the explosive magic unleashed.
By the time everyone else opened their eyes, they were all outside again in Polaris as some of the villagers arrived on scene.
The four spirits turned to the Swimming Guardians.
"Go! Hurry back to Duniya!" Arizona said.
"Don't worry about us! We'll take care of our Rei! Go to your Rei!" Iwatobi answered.
Articora!Alex approached Rei and held him close in his hand, his face tearing up horribly by the mess that Apollo has unleashed.
"H-How can we get back to Duniya...?!" Makoto cried out in panic.
"I'll get you all back," Artemis answered, unleashing its wings, "But we must make haste!"
Flashback: Idaina Magna
Pandora rested her two twins on a small bed crib, humming a tune to them to rest. With word out about this birth, it was only a matter of time before the prophecy would be said about them.
Please don't let this be another crisis, she thought, how much longer can this war between Chaos and Cosmos uphold?
"I'm afraid that as long as any form of existence is…so is the conflict between the two," a voice was heard.
Pandora turned her head to see Kaarina along with her husband and son. She approached to the new family, "The birth you have now is a much larger scale problem compared to the others."
"And why is that? Why do I remain to be cursed?" she glares at her.
"You of all know the reason…" Kaarina said.
Finally, the truth sinks in a little as her eyes began to tear up, "Because I am a descendant…isn't it?"
"Anyone, especially of a direct descendant multiplies that power between the two forces," Kaarina continued, "And for such a reality like this to exist…also violates the taboos between them."
"But it was my wish along theirs to make a new home, a better place!" Pandora protested, "As being the Dark One myself, I know that…"
"Where there is light…so does darkness," Kaarina finished but added on, "True. This world may seem far better for an afterlife but…even the darkness follows. In fact, this dimension is so unstable based on where it's located in the space-time field. We're not far from…that point."
Pandora narrowed her eyes a little, "What are you talking about?"
"Think back to your power as the Dark One…think about where it all came from," she hinted.
Closing her eyes, Pandora could hear the whispers of darkness looming around before visualizing something foreign…and far…a place where it all started. However…a split second she saw another figure standing there with an evil smile on its face. She gasped and opened her eyes.
"W-what in the name of…?" she muttered.
"Both light and darkness reside there, and whoever is living there, is clearly waiting for the opportunity to have it all," Kaarina revealed.
"No…" Pandora growled softly, "Not at the cost of these twins! I failed the first time as a mother…I can't fail a second time."
"Then you must know what to do," Kaarina answered back, "Make your decisions that you value on."
Despite this, Pandora vowed to make them happy. She and her redeemed husband Dodecadron would raise the two on their own as Artemis and Apollo got along very well. Everything seemed well for this family until Verrado and her clan raided them, snatching the twins from their grasp.
However, in the midst of that, the great evil also emerged as Chaos itself had finally manifested a temporary physical form later known as Ataxia.
Ataxia brought the twins to its domain, using one of them as a new vessel to contain itself. Artemis watched in horror to see the twin being engulfed by the darkness and evil. At the last split second, Artemis ripped out his own eye and shoved it into the eye of the twin. Ataxia restrained Artemis inside a glass cage while trying to remove the inner light from the other.
"Damn, Cosmos really knows how to toy with my fate," Chaos/Ataxia growled, "Just like what my disciple has said about him…"
With no other choice, the great evil sent Apollo on its way to wherever while keeping the true Artemis sealed away. Extracting the innate powers within Artemis, Ataxia would create this realm later known as Hyperion to trap the major key players of the Magic Six.
With the remnants of Hyperion finally being destroyed (the Castle of Nothingness), the chunk of Chaos that was left in its wake departed before sucking this 'realm' back in itself before returning to an undisclosed location somewhere deep in the unknown space.
It traveled vast and far before finally arriving at a divided wall and merged back in it. However, this grasp of energy wasn't the only thing that was here…someone else stood on the cold, hard, marble floor of darkness.
"What a waste of time," the entity spoke, "Must I do this myself?"
Unknown Location, Spherus Magna
A great darkness falls on the entire planet of Spherus Magna where scattered survivors have hidden themselves away from the source of the earthly attacks. In one said location, one of the survivors looked at the makeshift sandpit they made and tried to recite the story…so they would not forget.
"Gathered friends…listen again to our legend…of the BIONICLE."
The sands shifted, showing the seven stones representing the Element Lords.
"In the time before time, the world of Spherus Magna faced varying conflicts from the galaxy and beyond. As fate would have it, one of the Element Lords was chosen to become the next pillar of power but vowed to relinquish it, wishing to be with his beloved."
The sand changes color to represent the outer space as the same seven stone shimmer, each representing the worlds that were seen and visited in the Solis Star System.
"A peaceful reign was ensured and after a while, the Element Lords returned to start a third era when an evil from within our planet emerged. She casted a spell over everyone and everything…forcing separation to all the victims. This dark magic, foreign to even our world has sent waves radiating to many other realities beyond our own."
An eight stone appears, showing a symbol of darkness spewing over the area, infecting the stones and the sand. However, a crystal now appears, symbolizing the birth of a star or something…
"And now…a foreign power will soon come to this world, bringing the planet to its Judgement Day."
The Beginning of the End slowly approaches…in 2023!
