Disclaimer: do we still do these in 2023? I dunno but here's one I guess. I don't own Naruto or Warframe, wish I did, would've dropped Lua on Kaguya. Enjoy.

"The gaping hole in what seemed like reality hovered over Konoha for exactly three months. Despite Danzo and the other veterans protests, Hiruzen Sarutobi would not be throwing 'as many jutsus as possible' at that thing.

Wasted chakra and possible friendly fire were dangers that were much too concerning to ignore. He understood their worries, after all, it was a gaping hole in y'know...reality.

Still, he couldn't just allow them to toss fireballs and wind bullets at the thing as they pleased.

"Feh, as if that would even SOLVE anything. It's like they just want a reason to destroy something."

At the end of the first month, the portal had grown from a miniscule speck in the air to a swirling maw of purple and black. It still loomed, but it didn't really do much else.

By the second month, Danzo was ready to commit all-out war against Kumogakure.

His reasoning? 'It had blue lightning and only Kumo had shinobi with lightning affinities.'

While the others on the Civilian Council began to screech their agreements, Hiruzen locked eyes with Danzo.

They were best friends for a reason, even in spite of Shimura's vast overstepping of boundaries, so it wasn't as if Hiruzen couldn't see the ploy. You can't spend years in a viper den and not learn how to be a viper after all.

"Rowdy up the civilians..."

"...and get the Shinobi Council to respond."

Shimura smiled ever so slightly, swimming in self-satisfaction. His plan would work, the portal gone, and soon peace would be r-

The portal decided to start screaming at that very moment. A sickly scream that pierced even ROOT HQ itself, filling many with the deepest feeling of dread. Weirdly, as many would later report, none felt threatened but rather, the feeling of impending mischief.

On the final month, the portal collapsed rather suddenly, and for a brief five minutes the village celebrated avoiding possible doom. Until it appeared again, and spat out a flaming comet, fizzling out with a small -plink-.

Said comet crashed well past the village proper, a large boom and rather substantial smoke cloud appeared behind the Hokage Monument.

ANBU were on the scene within minutes, a 50-meter perimeter surrounding what appeared to be a...

"... dunno what the fuck it is honestly. Sir."

ANBU Commander Dragon stared at the wreck, still smoldering from its' entry. Hiruzen stood on his left, Shimura on his right, and Shikaku behind them all co-ordinating the on-site efforts.

"Well then, crack it open I say."

Shimura balked, how could Sarutobi see this obvious trap and walk further into it? Was he finally running senile in his old age? Whatever it was, if it meant doom for Konoha, then he'd be the first to run the old monkey through.

A groan sounded from the wreck, putting everyone on alert. Danzo palmed a kunai, Hiruzen puffed away on his pipe, and Dragon readied a water pistol jutsu. Whatever crawled out of this thing was meeting Kami as soon as it did.

And something did crawl out the wreckage, something grotesque, and purple, and why is it raising its' hands-

"We... mean no... harm...", it said, before collapsing outside the wreckage.

Another hand reached out, one that was significantly more human than the thing that had crawled out thankfully.

"Vyot kohri... medic... please...", Val begged, the Corpus Pressure Suit he wore torn apart and bloodied.

Hiruzen nodded and two shinobi approached, a medi-nin and his... security in case this was in fact a trap. However, admittedly Val would later add, it was rather hard to fake what exactly they had went through in order to end up on Konoha's doorstep, battered and bruised anyways.

So... I'm updating this. I'm warning you ahead of time, this will not be one of those 'everything is great and everyone is so cool' stories. It's not exactly a crackfic, but like, be for real, no one in Naruto was acting with any common sense. So I might tweak characters here and there. If that's not your thing, my bad but it is what it is.

I'll try to stay somewhat consistent, but sometimes life will tie me up, sorry in advance. However, I'll answer any questions or reviews whenever I can. Thanks for reading this far, apologies for the shortness, but that's the great thing about intros.
