You are my Commander

In Musutafu Japan, four young boys were running through the forest. One with ash blond hair was leading the three others. The others were a kid with dark brown hair, black with green highlights, and a chubby kid with red wings and gray hair. Their names were Katsuki Bakugou, Nagai Tesaki, Izuku Midoriya, and Akairo Tsubasa, respectively.

"Come one!" Bakugou ordered, "Keep up! We're almost there!"

"Where are we going, Katsuki?" Tsubasa asked.

"Trust me, you will love it!"

The four eventually passed through a stream, and reached a very large tree. Easily thirty feet high, and twice as tall as the others around it.

"Woah." Tesaki exclaimed.

"Yeah. What did I tell you?"

"How did we miss this?"

"No idea, but I want to climb it!"

Tsubasa and Tesaki looked worried.

"Climb that?! Are you crazy?"

"Kacchan," Midoriya said, a nickname he used for Bakugou, "That tree might be a bit too tall."

"Ha! Maybe for you, Deku. But, for a true hero like me, it will be easy!"

Without another word, Bakugou started climbing the trunk, even against the wishes of Tsubasa and Tesaki, while Midoriya simply looked awed at how fast Bakugou was climbing. Eventually, he reached one of the lower branches, and sat on it.

"See! Told you it was easy! Now, you guys!"

"Okay." Tsubasa exclaimed, and began to flap his wings. Tesaki extended his fingers, intending to get a better grip on the tree.

"Eh!" Bakugou scolded, "No quirks! I didn't use mine! You can't use yours!"

"What? But I can't climb that!"

"And I'm not that good of a climber without it."

Bakugou simply smirked, crossing his arms. "Too bad! What about you, Deku? Going to earn that name?"

Bakugou's nickname of Midoriya, while only a playful jab, was still a jab at him. Midoriya earned that name when Bakugou learned that reading the kanji for his name backwards would read as Deku, meaning useless. It was only due to Midoriya trying to do everything Bakugou did, but to a lesser extent. Bakugou didn't use it maliciously, but it still hurt him. It didn't help, despite each of them being five years old, Midoriya's quirk hadn't appeared yet. Some of their classmates were starting to wonder if he even had a quirk, as rare as that was. He was actually going to see a quirk doctor this month to finally get the answer to that question.

Midoriya rolled up his sleeves, and started climbing. A foot up, he slipped and fell back to the ground, to Tsubasa and Tesaki's giggling. Midoriya shook his head, and slowly started to climb up. After about ten feet, he was starting to sweat.

"Come on, Deku! You can at least do this, right?!"

Midoriya shimmied his way higher, and, at fifthteen feet, he was nearing the branch Bakugou was on. However, Midoriya's face was beet red.

"Kacchan," Midoriya cried out, "I can't go any higher."

Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Alright. Let me help you." Bakugou reached down to grab one of Midoriya's hands. However, at that moment, Midoriya slipped, and fell.

"Izuku!" Bakugou cried out as the other boys screamed. Midoriya himself clutched his head, waiting for the ground to meet him. A deep WHOOSHing sound was heard, before a new voice spoke up.

"I've got you."

He felt something grab the back of his shirt, stopping his fall. Opening his eyes, he saw that he was only a foot from the ground. Midoriya looked up, seeing a brown horse wearing bronze armor.

"Who~?" Midoriya was interrupted when the horse flipped the boy onto the saddle. Midoriya looked up at the rider, a woman adorned in dark gray and yellow armor. Her blue eyes gave a focused look.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

Midoriya nodded.

"Dude," Tsubasa exclaimed, his shocking leaving as he flapped his wings, "That was awesome!"

"Where did you come from?!" Tesaki added.

"Why, from the Commander, of course." The woman replied matter-of-factly, as if it was the most obvious thing in the word.

"Commander?" Midoriya questioned, "Who's that?"

"Um, Deku…" Bakugou exclaimed, making the kid look up, "You may want to look at your arms."

Midoriya looked at his arms, worried he might've gotten hurt. However, they weren't injured. Rather, blue translucent tendrils came off his arms…and permeated around the mystery rider.

"Wait…" Midoriya's curiosity turned into pure joy, "Are you my Quirk!?"

"Indeed I am. I am Estrilda, the Knight of Valor. And you are my Commander."

In a world where everyone has powers, it's nearly impossible to be 'unique'.

However, there are those who do not let that stop them from carving their own mark in history

There are those whose quirks alone are enough to make them stand out.

But there are a select few whose hearts match the strength of their quirks. Those who not only pave their own path, but inspire others to go beyond, creating a generation of champions.

It is those that truly become legends.

This is the story of one such individual. The story of…

The Esperian Hero

Author's Notes: Hooo, it's good to be back. Side note: When I was making this story, all I could think of is 'Tokoyami's got it easy. He's only got one persona that can take over his body. Midoriya's going to have dozens!' Now, I know that it's been a long time since I posted anything on this website, so I'm going to give a brief explanation on why I've been gone. But, first, some ground rules regarding 'The Esperian Hero'.

FIRST: Izuku will be able to summon MOST of the heroes from the mobile game. There are a few exceptions, mainly the Dimensional Heroes. He's already going to be busted enough, we don't need to bring in Ainz Ooal Gown or Yennifer.

SECOND: Because he'll already be broken, he won't be getting One for All. I have someone else in mind for that role.

THIRD: Wu Kong will have his faction changed. He's being shifted from the Celestials to the Dimensionals. This is for narrative purposes.

Now, onto why I've been gone for so long. A series of real life events started to stress me out, slowing down my writing. What stopped me writting entirely was Hearts of Iron 4's Fallout Mod, Old World Blues. I was using it to make maps of the world for an eventualy RWBY/Fallout: New Vegas. However, when they released their newest expansion for the base game, it cause all the save files for it to get corrupted. Which means all the world building I had was now obliterated. That may sound minor, but, when added to all the other real life events (which I won't get into), it was the straw that broke my back. I just didn't feel like writing. So, this story will be my primary focus as I get back into a groove, and reevalute what I'm going to do with the rest of my stories. However, there are some things that I'm setting in stone right now.

MAMA HOUND-Will be continued. I don't know HOW I'm going to write the first half of Volume 2, and, if anyone is willing to have themselves spoiled, I'd love to chat with any of you in helping me plot out what the first half should be like.

THE WARLOCK AND THE HARPY-This one will be getting a remake some time this year. I'm not happy with certain aspects, and I want to start fresh. I will leave the original up for those that liked it, but I feel a remake will help me further down the line.

With that, I'm officially back, and I look forward to giving you more content.
