AN: this is my first fanfic and i'm dyslexic so sorry for any spelling mistakes or grammar issus

Prologue: my life before

I wake up in my futon, sun shining through the window of ouer small one person apartment. Sitting up and stretching I look over to the futon next to mine and see my little sister, Akira, still sound asleep. I smile and give her a pat on her head. She smiles and mutters "Onii-chan" in her sleep. I then get up, grab a change of clothes, and head to our tiny bathroom

After a quick shower I check on Akira and see she is still asleep. I smile again and head over to our tiny kitchen and grab the magnetic note pad and pen off the frig and quickly scribble down "going out today. don't wait up for me -Kotetsu" and with that i grab and apple and head out the door.

After finishing my apple and tossing the core in the garbage of the nearby playground, I start free running to my destination. As I go I feel a buzzing in my pocket. I stop the roof I was on and take out my phone. Flipping it open I see a text from my friend asking me if I was still coming to our meeting spot. I quickly confirmed that I was on my way, and picked up the pace.

Arriving at our meeting spot, I made my way down to ground level. One of my friends sees me and waves saying "hay Tesu, over her" i jog over and great my friend.

"So how are you holding up Tesu?" one of my friends asks

" i'm alright, Work is hell but I'm getting through it. How about you guys hows normal life?"

They all gave me answers ranging from their hatred of homework to their parents and teachers on their backs to new manga they readed

"Speaking of, Tesu, did you read the new chapter of My Hero?" one of my friends asked

" oh not yet, what chapter are we on now, 336?" i asked

They all gave a chuckle as one replied " 337, but i think its safe to assume that you didn't read 336"

I give an awkward laugh and reply with "yeah i haven't really had time to read the most recent chapter."

"Oh, i actually have a copy if chapter 336 here" other friend chimes in handing me a copy of shonen jump

"Sweat!" I excitedly took the book, turned to the chapter and quickly read through it. When I got to the last panel I fall to my hands and knees. My friends burst out laughing.

"Not my Toru, why ,why ,why" i say weakly

"Don't worry dude she is not the trader." one of my friends say as he rubs my back

"She isn't?" i ask with hope in my eyes

" Nope but I ant spoiling who is the trader." he replied with a cheeky smile

I get back up sighing in relief. I then feel my phone buzzing in my pocket again. i pull it out and see it my… "boss"

"Sorry guys but we are going to have to cut this short" I say apologetically.

There were grounds of protest but ultimately they understood. Plans were made for next time and I left unknowing that that was the last time I would ever see them.

As I'm walking I take out my phone and call the last person to call me.

"Kid? Where are you?" a gruff man's voice sounds over the line

"Sorry I was hanging out with a friend, and plus I thought it was my day off?" I asked a little annoyed.

"Kid i told you already, there are no days off in this line of work" the gruff man replied "just get over here. The boss needs you for something"

"I'm on my way" i sigh and hang up

Parkouring my way to my destination I arrive at a fairly nice house. A yakuza house. Though you couldn't really tell just by looking at it. I walk through the gate and use my key to get in.

"I'm here" i yell out

"Up here" came the reply from upstairs office

Putting on the guest slippers I make my way upstairs. Knocking twice on the door I hear "come in" and I walk in and see my supervisor and the head of the family of all people.

"BOSS!?" I cry out, quilty bowing. " If I may be so bold as to ask, why are you here?"

"It's alright" Boss replied "I wanted to thank you for helping me with my little pest problem."

"Oh it was no problem, a little bit of blackmail goes a long way." i say cheekily

The boss gave a hardy laugh and said "One of these days you are going to have to share your information network with me."

"One day" i say with a chuckle

"Anyway i'm giving you a rase for your help" Boss says

"Honestly boss, you've done so much for me and my little sister that it's the least I can do. And after helping me with everything last year…."

"Nonsens, all I did was give you the name." Boss said, cutting me off. "You did the rest."

"But after I got what I wanted I was directionless and you gave me purpose again." I wanted to say but held it in. there is no use arguing with the Boss on this. I should be grateful

"Anyway I hear it's your day off so i'll let you get back to it." Boss said

"Thank you Boss." I say bowing once again and leaving the room.

I head down stairs, put my shoes back on, and leave. Walking on the street like a normal person now I check my phone. I see it's only 2 in the afternoon so I decide to find a bookstore so I can read the next chapter of My Hero. When I got to the crosswalk I saw someone I was not expecting. Akira in a group of girls across the street from me. Akira and her friends haven't knowtes me yet. I was half tempted to walk across the street before the light trend turned green, But decided against it seeing a box truck coming at a fairly fast speed. Then out of the corner of my eye I see two stupid kids playing in the street. Before I knew what was going on I was in the street reaching out for the kids. I managed to grab one of them by the shirt and yank him to my side of the road switching places with him but I couldn't reach the other kid. "This stupid kid is going to be the death of me '' I thought to myself. Then at the last second I see Akira pull the exact same move I just did. My eyes widened and I went to push her out of the way but it was already to late.
