Good Times

After the tense conversation with Itachi, both Sakura and he decided to spend a little more time together. Sakura surprisingly felt a bit relieved at having Itachi know who she was.

Both sat on the plush couch given to Itachi, which was more like a bed than a couch. Itachi's Fukusho many quarters were filled with rooms in various different locations. Decorated and supplied just for the use of him, the future Hokage. It was a nice thing for Konoha to do; the only problem being the rooms weren't designed to Itachi's taste. He was a simple man, and did not need rich things.

This room in particular was very lavish; one could call it a high class loft. It had polished wooden floors, a large round crystal dining table with six chairs, and a large kitchen with a bar. Every appliance included was the most up-to-date technology. Outside a semi-circular balcony could be seen. High ceilings framed the room; along with large windows. Lush sofas, beautiful long chaises, and a huge floor-to-ceiling sized chimney furnished the circular room that they were in right now.

"This room is nice." Sakura mused showing appreciation for the fine things.

The two were on a chaise. Laying down on their side; facing each other. Sakura's posture slightly imitating the fetal position, with her legs tucked in, her arms in front of her and her head leaning on the top of the chaise. Itachi decided to incline his elbow on the chaise and lean his head on in his hand. He had one leg stretched out the other was bent at the knee with his foot resting in-between Sakura's legs. Both intertwining their hands together and taking comfort in their interlocked position.

Itachi shrugged in response. "I suppose."

"You don't like it." Sakura tried to hold back a laugh, but a small giggle slipped out.

Itachi responded by arching his eyebrow, and stoically stating. "It's unnecessary."

"What do you mean?" Sakura said, curious to find out more about Itachi. Even though she has lived with him all of her second life, moments where you can spend quality time like this with him were rare. He's always busy doing some official things for Konoha as future hokage.

"A lot of the items purchased could have been bought at a lower price, and some of the money spent could have been used for more constructive purposes." Itachi's face was thoughtful; his devotion to his village was shining through.

Sakura smiled softly up at him. "You really are going to be a great hokage Itachi." Her voice was warm and appreciative.

Now in a good mood he looked at her and gave her one of his infamous Uchiha smirks.

"Sakura." He breathed her name then closed his eyes. She looked up at him and waiting for him to say more.

When he didn't she prodded a little. "Hm?"

"I like the sound of your name." He said very matter of factly; in a deep voice

Sakura blinked up at him surprised. Itachi just had said her name, just because. No other alternative reason for the Great Uchiha.

She hid a smile by turning her head a little into his arm. A moment of comfortable silence passed over them. They sat back and quietly played with each other's hands; tracing and running their fingers through each other's.

Sakura and Itachi could enjoy each other's company in practically any circumstances. Both could be comfortable in absolutely quiet and not say two words. Or they could be chatty and still have the time of their lives. The back and forth verbal sparring was something Sakura looked forward too sometimes. Itachi was one the few ninja that could match (but was probably superior) to Sakura's intelligence. She smiled, this is exactly what she needed to help get her over the argument she had earlier with Sasuke.

Itachi broke the silence with his peaceful voice.

"So you have 'pink' hair." He said it in a way that if she didn't know better she could have sworn he was poking fun at her hair.

"Yes, I have pink hair. Is there something wrong with that?" Her usual attitude rising it's ugly head, but she was only teasing him.

Itachi reached out and gently took hold of some of Sakura's hair strands. His intense eyes focused on her face.

"No, I just wonder what you would look like with your natural pink hair." His voice deepening into what one might almost consider sensuous.

That voice, plus this proximately and take into account that he's an Uchiha, was too much for Sakura. She leaned back a little bit, making his tender hold on her hair drop. Itachi shrugged and went back to fiddling with her hand.

"You must be even more beautiful with your natural pink hair and green eyes, than what you already are with black hair and green eyes." He stated as if it were a mere fact of life.

Sakura never really understood her relationship with Itachi. At times it could be a mere friendly brother-sister relationship, where most of their interactions were purely platonic. But sometimes it was a more dare she think a flirty relationship? Seeing how this Itachi was allowed the opportunity to grow and mature with family and friends he was slightly more affectionate. Slightly.

Suddenly his face turned serious, and he dropped her hand.

"Sakura how did you-" but before he could finish his sentence he was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Itachi-fukusho, the preliminary matches are about to start. Your presence is requested at the opening speech." Some random officials had come to fetch him.

"Yes, I'll be there," he responded. Then got up from the chaise and held out his hand to Sakura. "Come. We'll finish this conversation later."

She took his hand and allowed him to help her up. Both walked hand in hand to the chunin arena.

Upon arriving Sakura made her way to her team standing behind Sasuke; who ignored her.

Sasuke briefly wondered if she was putting her tongue down his brother's throat as well. He internally sneered at the ugly thought in his head, before replacing it sadness. He would never tell anyone, but he wondered why he wasn't good enough for Sakura.

The hokage then mades his usual speech about why the chunin exams were held and what their significance meant.

All the while Sakura was stealing secretive glances at Neji, who also couldn't control himself from stealing some glances at Sakura. When he wasn't peeking, he was trying his best to pay attention.

Curiously, Sakura also felt another pair of eyes staring at her. Her first instinct was to look at Sasuke, but no such luck. He was busy giving her the cold shoulder. Next she glanced at Naruto, who was intently listening to the Hokage's boring speech. Then she turned to look at Itachi who wasn't staring at her at first, but did look at her when he felt her eyes descend on him. He then signaled Sakura to pay attention, and to stop fooling around by pointing at the hokage. Of course Sakura nodded and pretended to obey, only to later continue to looking around.

Lastly she saw Gaara; he was the one whose gaze was fixated on her. He was giving her the once over, as if checking to see if she survived the chunin exam alright. She gave him a smile and a small wave in acknowledgement. He small waved back, but didn't stop staring. She did and went back to paying attention to the hokages speech.

After the speech, Hayate was called forth to give his own little speech about the chunin battles that would follow shortly. After Kabuto quit and exited the exams, the chunin were asked to look at the screen to see who would fight first. Sasuke and Yoroi were chosen again; like they were in Sakura's dimension.

Sakura decided that no matter how angry they were with each other it shouldn't prevent her from providing Sasuke with vital information to help his match. "Sasuke-kun don't let him touch you, ok?" She tells him in what she thought was a polite voice.

However, Sasuke didn't even acknowledge that he heard her.

His dismissal left Sakura feeling hurt. She nodded, understanding Sasuke's reaction; he was hurt by her too.

Sasuke and Yoroi stepped out to bat, while the other chunin made their way to the upper section.

This time around Sasuke won the battle easily since he was able to use his Sharingan without difficulty. The benefit of not having the curse mark helped him greatly. The following matches were pretty much the same, with the exception of Sakura cheering on Kankuro during his match. Her cheering led her to receiving many ugly looks from her fellow Konoha nin.

During one of the breaks Sakura headed off to the bathroom. Ino was there waiting, which resulted in a harmless spat with the two. After Ino had left and Sakura followed shortly, however before she could make it back to the stadium she was stopped by somebody grabbing onto her wrist.

Sakura looked up to see none other than her beloved Neji Hyuga. "Neji," she whispered and smiled happily up at him. He gave her a smirk in return and pulled her into a dark corner for privacy.

"Hey," he nudged her towards him; which pleased Sakura head to toe.

"Hey yourself," her tone flirtatious as she pushed him against the wall; then pulled him down for a kiss. Their kiss quickly led to an intense make-out session. His tender lips skillfully manipulated Sakura's to his every whim. She was the first girl he had ever kissed, but nevertheless he managed to kiss like a pro without ever having previous experience (the hard life of a genius.) Neji wrapped his arms around Sakura's waist, while she slowly dragged her hands up his sculpted arms in a sensuous motion. She took his lower lip in between hers, and nipped at it gently. Asking for permission to enter his opening; internally Neji was smiling very pleased as well. He opened his mouth allowing her access.

In response Sakura started letting out small sounds of passion, while they connected. Sliding her tongue along his, sent her nerve ends tingling.

She slid one hand up to his face and caressed the side of it. Her hands destination ended up resting behind his head, interweaving within his hair, and deepening the kiss. Neji also couldn't resist giving in to his passion by making small sounds himself. He brought one hand up her back stroking it lovingly and in the process caused vibrations to pulse through her body. Then he let his other hand roam toward her bottom. The contact with her lower region caused Sakura to let out a surprise gasp and tense up her muscles. Neji didn't relent; he started massaging them causing Sakura to moan and get even more in the mood.

After the incident with Neji yesterday Sakura had been thinking about what she had revealed to him, and it wasn't much.

Neji was fully convinced that Sakura was a super obsessed fan girl. He had no other theories to go on. Unless she was a spy, but a twelve year-old spy for what? Or there was always the truth, Sakura is a ninja from the future who had a relationship with Neji and has come back for some unknown purpose but…honestly that's just not plausible.

And Sakura was ok with that. If he wanted to think she was a super obsessed fan girl that's fine, as long as she can be with him. She loves him and has missed him so much. Every second that she has newly been given with him is a blessing in her eyes.
