Chapter 13: Slaughter at the invasion
As the genjtusu fell all the Konoha Shinobi broke through it and brandished their weapons. Immediately sand and sound Shinobi descended on the crowd.
"You might as well give up," a sand Chunin said to a civilian.
"You should give up punk," the civilian said before he was covered in smoke revealing himself to be an ANBU.
Plenty of other civilians did the same revealing multiple ANBU.
Back in the kage's booth four sound jonin had risen up and set up a huge box around the top of the arena trapping the disguised Minato and Orochimaru inside of it.
"You may have prepared for my invasion old man," Orochimaru said, "but on this day you will die,"
The disguised kage chuckled and said, "Who said I was going to die? Also…who said I was the old geezer?"
The man tore off the his robes revealing Minato Namikaze.
Orochimaru's yellow eyes widened in shock then in fear. This wasn't the old man he was expecting to fight.
"You should know as a Shinobi not to think you have the advantage over someone," Minato said with a smirk, "Also…make sure your so-called ace in the hole doesn't come back to bite you on the butt!"
There was a sudden crash and the ceiling started to crack. Orochimaru spun around to see four ANBU stationed where the four sound jonin were to throw up the barrier. Each one focused chakra into their hands before slamming them into the ceiling breaking it and causing the jonin to lose their focus.
As soon as the barrier fell Gaara burst through the ceiling with a psychotic grin on his face.
"Orochimaru," he growled, "You will be the one to prove my existence!"
The one tailed Jinchuuriki sent a large wave of sand at the snake sannin who just barely managed to dodge. He was then reminded of the fact that he was surrounded by a bunch of ANBU and a thought dead kage when he was struck in the back with a wind bullet and had to dodge a great deal of weapons thrown at him.
Gaara, infuriated, brought up walls of sand made up from the concrete around him and blocked them all off before knocking them backwards.
The red haired Jinchuuriki roared, "THIS IS MY FIGHT! STAY OUT OF IT!"
The Suna Jinchuuriki then proceeded to turn on Orochimaru and sent waves of Sand at the snake sannin.
The ANBU were about interfere again when Minato stopped them and said, "I wouldn't interrupt again if I were you. He's been driven mad by the fight. If we interfere now he'll kill us as well as that snake."
The ANBU looked a little upset about not being able to take down the traitor, but stood down as they didn't want to die. They were however hoping that the sannin would be torn apart in a slow, agonizing fashion.
They wer ethen taken from their thoughts when the strange sound jonin came up from under the the partially wrecked roof. The ANBU immediately went around them.
Meanwhile…
Naruto had both his swords out and were slicing through sound and sand ninja left and right.
Nearby Shikimaru and Shino were using shadows and bugs respectively to dispatch their enemies.
Sakura was going all street brawler on everyone's butts. Each punch came with a broken jaw, shattered teeth, and a lot of broken bones.
Around them Gai was cracking multiple bones with his deadly fists, Kakashi was using ninjutsu as much as he could, Anko was feeding her targets to her snakes, Kurenai was trapping as many as she could in deadly illusions, and Asuma was slicing through target after target using his trench knives.
As this was going on civilians were being shipped off to a safe area deep within the Hokage mountain. One of the people being shipped off was Sasuke Uchiha. As he was carried off by medics the "last" Uchiha stared angrily and jealously at Sakura and Naruto showing off their powers.
On the other side of the village Kushina and a team of ANBU stood above the dead bodies of a bunch of sound ninja that were part of a large summoning circle. After that they decided to head back into the village and start tearing up invaders.
"Looks like that was the last of them," Naruto said as he surveyed the burned and broken battlefield.
"Yeah," Sakura said, "Now let's see if we can watch that oversized legless gecko get squashed."
The group headed off for the top of the arena when a sudden gust of wind tore the ground in front of them.
Temari landed in front of them with her battle fan at the ready. Kankouro landed right next to her with his puppet out.
"What are you two doing?" Naruto asked, "That snake freak killed your old man and you're still fighting for him?"Temari scoffed and said, "I never felt any love for the guy. He was a jerk who turned our little brother into a monster. On top of that he practically ignored his other two kids and probably would have tried selling me to a brothel if I lost my worth on the battle field."
Sakura cracked her knuckles and said, "Reasons aside we can't let you get in the way."
Temari smirked and mocked, "You may have taken down that mummy freak, but I'm on a different level."
Sakura got into a stance and said, "We'll see."
Shino faced Kankouro and said, "Go. I never got to compete in my match against this one."Naruto nodded and said, "Go."
Naruto and Shikimaru nodded at their friends and jumped off to join the Yondaime and watch the slaughter that would be Orochimaru's death.
On top of the stadium…
Orochimaru's luck seemed to be running out faster and faster by the seconds. He had tried using a fire jutsu to hurt the sand Jinchuuriki, but that only served to make things worse as he just reformed himself with his sand and he was starting to look like a miniature Shukaku from the left side only.
The snake sannin tried using a seal called the three pronged seal to try and lock away the one tailed demon's chakra, but he made the mistake of trying for the seal on the stomach. This proved to be a mistake as the seal wasn't there and it only managed to piss off the desert monster even further.
Orochimaru was now almost out of tricks as he didn't have the time to pull of the Impure world resurrection like he planned to do as the sand monster would either crush him or the coffins with the bodies in them to keep him from summoning them.
'There has got to be some way out of this,' Orochimaru thought.
As he was thinking this he had to dodge another volley of sand projectiles.
Naruto, Shikimaru, and the Jonin landed next to Minato. Naruto took out small bucket of popcorn and a camera to help them remember this moment forever.
Down in the arena…
"Wind Style: Wind Scythe!"
Sakura ran to the side to avoid the blades of razor sharp wind.
Sakura went through hand signs and said, "Water Style: Hot Water Bullet!"
Sakura launched a ball of water from her mouth. Temari dodged to the left to avoid the water ball that smashed into wall forming a crater. As she was regaining her balance she was caught in the jaw by a vicious right hook from the red head.
Temari jumped back and shook herself to shake the cobwebs from her head. As she did she jumped back to avoid a punch that formed a small crater where she once stood.
'This kid is no fan girl now,' Temari thought.
As this was going on Shino and Kankouro were fighting it out amongst themselves. Kankouro was keeping his distance using his puppet. This proved to be a little problem for Shino since he normally need to keep close to his opponent to keep his bugs from being needlessly slaughtered. On top of that he couldn't get too close to his puppets because the puppets either had blades on it's arms and could shoot poison from it's mouth.
After a few minutes of fighting Sakura grew annoyed with the blonde woman in front of her.
Sakura ran in dodging to the right and unleashed a powerful haymaker that knocked the girl off her feet. Temari braced herself however and then opened up her battle fan.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
The fan launched a huge gust of wind outward. Sakura couldn't dodge in time and braced herself with earth chakra. Sakura stood her ground until the jutsu ended. Sakura growled before she felt something wash over her.
Sakrua focused chakra into her arm. The result was a small twister forming around her forearm and hand. Sakura pulled back her arm.
Temari noticed this and drew back her fan.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
The huge gust of wind met the twister that was wrapped around Sakura's arm. The result was Temari's wind jutsu was canceled out while the tornado went forward and struck Temari in the front. The blonde pigtailed woman was claunched backwards hard and then crashing into the opposite wall with a crater forming in the wall.
Meanwhile Shino was fairing well against Kankouro. Kankouro launched poisoned needles from his puppet. Shino dodged the projectiles and sent out a few bugs.
The next thing Kankouro knew he couldn't control his puppet. He quickly realized the chakra strings he used to control said puppet had been eaten. He quickly reformed them and had his puppet launch a ball that exploded in poison smoke.
Kankouro smirked as he saw Shino fall to one knee. It was at that moment he felt his strength waver. He fell down to one knee and gasped in shock. He looked down to see a few of Shino's bugs crawling off him.
"How?" the puppet user asked, "You didn't even get close to me."
Shino looked at his opponent and said, "The female of the Kikkai species is a very interesting specimine. She's able to emit a scent that attracts the warrior Kikkai, which are the ones to drink chakra."
Kankour felt realization dawn on him just as he started to lose consciousness.
Sakura saw her friend double over and quickly ran over to the boy and performed a minor medical jutsu that Kushina had taught him over the month of training.
Back with Orochimaru vs. Garra…
Gaara was growing steadily more annoyed. This was not the fight that he had been promised. So far the snake sannin had only dodged and had barely done anything to try and beat him. If anything he was just running away like a coward.
"I GROW TIRED OF THIS FARCE!" Gaara roared, "TIME TO DIE OROCHIMARU!"
The Sand Jinchuuriki shot out a deformed hand and grabbed Orochimaru's arm. There was a sickening crack that signified that the man's arm was destroyed.
Gaara sent out his sand. Since this so-called great warrior had wasted his time he was going to make him suffer.
Sand wrapped around Orochimaru's arm and leg before growling, "Sand Burial."
The sand crushed Orochimaru's arm and leg. The worse part for Orochimaru was that since the sand was enhanced by the Shukaku's chakra the wound wouldn't regenerate. On top of that he hadn't gained a new body so he could try doing that.
"Sand Puncture."
Gaara formed large spikes with his sand before sending them out and then pinning Orochimaru to the ground and making him scream out in agony.
Finally Gaara's sand went outward and started grinding up the materials of the tile and the cement in the roof before it went flying upwards.
"Sand Waterfall Burial!"
The great fall of sand then crushed Orochimaru's body into the roof before sending it downward and crashing into the ground below the arena.
Gaara then flooded the ground below and covered the whole thing before focusing the sand as hard as eh could.
"Great Sand Burial!"
The resulting implosion of pressurized earth. Cracks formed in the ground as the massive amounts of sand crushed the Konoha traitor into the ground. All that was left of Orochimaru in the sand was a large pile of red mess and gore.
As this happened Anko suddenly cried out in pain as he clutched her neck. The Kurenai crouched down next to her friend and moved her hand. The curs seal on her neck burned before it turend red and faded away.
As the pain ceased Anko fell to her knees as she felt a darkness in her soul and a great weight on her heart leave. She had to fight back tears of happiness.
'It's gone…my curse is gone!'
As this was happening Sasuke clutched his neck as he felt his curse seal burn. The mark burned before it slowly faded away. Instead of joy at having the seal removed the Uchiha felt his rage burning inside of him.
'The mark is gone…someone stole my power! I needed that power!'
Back with the other's Gaara roared as he faced the other's around him. He finally glared at Naruto.
"You…You promised me a powerful adversary!"
Naruto chuckled and said, "I really thought he would put up more of a fight. I didn't expect him to be a complete and total coward. My bad."Gaara snarled and said, "Well then…Let's hope you are more of a fighter!"
Just as Gaara was about to charge Naruto quickly went through an unrecognizable set of hand sign.
"Dragon Release: Dragon Fire Stream!"
Naruto fire a large blast of pure white flames from his maw. The white hot flames covered Gaara. The good thing was that the flames were enhanced by Elyon's chakra and burned Gaara's sand into glass.
"Hit it pops!"
Minato then charged forward with his hand outstretched and shoved his hands forward with all five of his figners covered in chakra.
"Five Pronged Seal!"
Minato slammed his hand into Gaara's chest right over the heart. Gaara stumbled before the chakra enhanced sand slowly fell off him and then fell off to the side out cold and with the Shukaku's chakra suppressed he fell asleep for the first time in years.
Naruto smirked as he looked down at the bloody remains of Orochimaru.
"Are you sure Kabuto won't break out and try to avenge his master?" Naruto asked.
"No," Ibiki, who just joined them, said with a smirk, "He didn't survive the last day of torture. His heart gave out right after he broke."
At that moment Kushina landed next to them with a bag of popcorn.
"Okay let's see the-"
She stopped when she was Gaara out cold.
The woman pouted and whined, "Oh man! I missed it!"
Naruto said, "Don't worry mom. I recorded the whole fight. Now we can watch it over and over and over again. Now then I suggest we get the people here looked at in case people got hurt badly."
With that everyone set off to do there job.
End! Okay Orochimaru is dead and we are moving on. Just so you know I think Orochimaru is not a great fighter. He is an old man with a fear of the event horizon and his eventual judgment. Why else would anyone fear death? Besides since Gaara was his trump card I figured he should be the one to kill him. Now let's see how else the story plays out.
