Chapter 18: Kage Summit and the Akatsuki moves.
It had been a few days since Minato had sent the message to the fire daimyo. Almost as soon as the daimyo heard about the genius, albeit partially insane plan Naruto had come up with he sent out similar messages.
Within a day or two the fire daimyo had received word that all the kages within certain countries had gotten the message and were willing to meet to discuss what should happen with the Akatsuki.
At the moment all the kages were on their way to iron country, a neutral country filled with samurai that has been used as a point for peace meeting for years.
Minato currently stood in his room waiting for the meeting to be called. In all honesty the blonde hokage was completely nervous. The blonde had never been to one of these meetings before and he knew that he couldn't threaten to kill anyone from the village without invoking war which was something that nobody wanted right now.
"Minato," Kushian said as she saw her husband's nervous face, "Are you okay?"Minato sighed and said, "I'm a little nervous.If things go south then it will no doubt end badly. There's also the fact that the Akatsuki could show up before an agreement is reached."
Kushina snuggled into her husband's arms and said, "Don't worry Minato-koi. Everything will turn out fine. And if not if the Akatsuki do show up there may be a unanimous decision to fight."
Minato nodded. Suddenly there was the sound of a gong. The other kages had arrived and the meeting was about to start.
The yondaime then left his room and started to head for the main meeting room where all the action was going to be held. As he left he found his body guards waiting for him. Naruto, Sakura, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and of course Kushina all stood ready for if things went sour. Of course with Naruto being a tad bit paranoid at the moment had also gotten the rest of the former rookies and their sensei's acting as guards around the place. He was hoping that the others had done the same.
Minato entered the chamber and found the room was a large circle with five large desks that had a symbol above them. The symbols were the kanji for Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, and Lightning.
Minato took a seat at the desk that had the kanji for fire above it. A few minutes later four more people filed in followed by bodyguards.
The man who took the seat at the Lighting desk was the raikage a large very muscular man with a beard and lacking a bit of hair on the top of his head. With the Raikage were two people. A woman with long blonde hair and a catlike posture and a dark-skinned man, much like him, who had 7 swords on his back and a posture that screamed "don't make me mad".
The Tsuchikage took a spot at the earth desk. The man was very old, short, had glasses, a red nose, and looked very impatient. With him were two people. The first was a man in samurai armor with a large vent on his back that resembled a steam vent. The second was a man with a long red beard and moustache with a helmet that covered the bridge of his nose.
The Mizukage took her seat. As soon as she entered a few of the more lecherous men, Jiraiya included, was staring at the woman. She was tall with an hourglass figure, blue clothes, and red hair. With her were two men. One was a boy with blue hair and glasses with a bandaged weapon on his back. The second man also had blue hair, but he had an eye patch and no weapon to speak of.
Gaara took his spot at the wind desk followed by his brother and sister.
Naruto looked out and saw them all.
'Kurama, Elyon. Which ones are the Jinchuuriki from Kumo, Kiri, and Iwa?' the blonde asked mentally.
Kyuubi (kurama) answered, "The one with the vent from Iwa has the five tails. The guy with the beard has the four tails. From Kumo the big guy has the eight tails while the girl has the two tails. The two from Kiri don't have youkai in them. By my guess the Akatsuki already got three tailed and six tailed."
Elyon nodded and said, "You were right to call this meeting kid. With the last of the tailed beasts here there is now way that they will be able to resist."
As they kages all took their seats an old man in samurai armor came forward.
"Before the meeting can begin," the old man said, "I, Mifune, representative of Iron country would like to thank you all for coming. Now we shall begin with the main issue: the Akatsuki organization."
The raikage stood up and said, "What does this have to do with us anyway? None of our ninja are in the damn organization."
Minato said, "True, but the treat they pose is real to every village, neutral or not."
The Raikage stood up about to shout, but the 8 tails jinchuuriki grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.
The Tsuchikage was glaring furiously at Minato. Minato could feel the furious glare at him before he grew annoyed and turned to the old man.
"If you have something to say old man," Minato spat," Say it."
The Tsuchikage growled, "You humiliated us in the third war. You made my village look like it was made completely out of fools! If it weren't the for the fact that this was a peaceful meeting I would kill you right now!"
The air became thick as a vicious killing intent was aimed at the old man. the ancient kage turned his head slightly to see Naruto glaring at him with eyes as red as rubies with killing intent coming off him in waves.
"Sochi," Minato said, "That's enough. We came here so we could come to an agreement not give the leader of another village a heart attack."
Naruto's killing intent subsided. The Tsuchikage let out a deep sigh as he finally found himself able to breathe again.
The others in the room were shocked that someone at age sixteen was able to unleash such a powerful killing intent that it nearly brought a kage to his knees. Of course the guy was old so they just decided to leave it.
Inside certain individuals, however, the tailed beasts were talking to their vessels.
"So Kyu-kun was sealed in the yondaime's kid," the two tailed cat purred to her Jinchuuriki Yuugito.
"The Kyuubi Jinchuuriki is the yondaime's son?' Yugito mentally asked, 'Note to self…don't piss him off.'
The Hachibi said, "So that is where that oversize fuzzball went. I was wondering that."
Kirabi, the Hachibi's jinchuuriki thought, "The he's the holder of number nine. Looks like boy been doing pretty fine.'
The Hachibi sweat dropped and said, "Will you stopping it with that infernal rapping already?"
Kirabi winced as he was hit with the mental equivalent of a sledgehammer.
The Gobi said, "Pray that your kage isn't as dumb as you think or we'll be screwed if what I'm sensing from that kid is accurate."
Han, the Gobi's vessel, could ust not mentally as he felt the killing intent from that kid was absolutely unreal.
The yonbi was simply telling his vessel, Roshi, not to do anything that would anger the young whiskered blonde.
Mifune cleared his throat breaking everyone from their thoughts.
"Now then," Minato said, "I thought we were discussing what to do about a certain terrorist organization."
The Mizukage rose up and said, "The hokage has a point. So far the organization has taken two of the three jinchuuriki in my country the six tails and the three tails. The seven tailed Jinchuuriki, Fu, has been missing for a few days now. We don't know if she has been captured or not."
The Kazekage said, "They tore the demon from me as well. That brings them up to three total four if they managed to capture Fu."
The Raikage said, "We have to consider who we're going up against. Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Deidara the mad bomber, Sasori of the red sand, the plant man Zetsu, the immortal duo Hidan and Kakuzu, some weird guy named Tobi, and finally a pair that have remained hidden in the shadows since the beginning."
Gaara said, "We can scratch Sasori and Deidara of that list. They were killed when they took my demon."
Minato said, "Kakuzu and Hidan were killed in Taki when they were hunting the 7 tailed Jinchuuriki."
The Tsuchikage said, "So we're down to just six. We don't know anything about their leader. We also have to consider the fact that they may add new members."
Minato nodded and said, "A certain individual from my village hasn't been seen in a while. Given the fact that he has had an insane desire to be the hokage there is a chance he may have gone against my village in exchange for the title."
The mizukage said, "You have some messed up people in your village."
The woman was then hit in the head by an apple thrown from nowhere. Behind Minato's desk Kushina had her hands behind her back and was laughing innocently.
"I say we take the fight to them," Minato said, "It's better than just standing around like a bunch of idiots waiting for the death blow in a fight."
The Tsuchikage nodded and said, "I have to agree with the yondaime on this one…wow never thought I would say that. Anyway I'm not about to let a bunch of criminals push me or my village around like we're a bunch of wimps."
The Mizukage nodded and said, "I have to agree with Tsuchikage-dono."
Mifune said, "All for the motion to unite against the Akatsuki organization?"
Every kage raised their hand as they heard that.
"All opposed?"No one raised their hand.
"Excellent," Mifune said, "The motion carries."
At that moment a few Samurai were sent flying into the room. Each one of them was dead from poisoning or sword wounds.
Through the door walked Danzo and a man with a Venus flytrap on his head with a red, a body was black on one side and on the other side and yellow eyes.
"Danzo," Minato said, "Why did I have a feeling that you would do this after being denied the title of hokage again?"
The cane using man said, "You should. The title of Hokage should have been mine a long time ago. Now after your death and the leaf's destruction I shall take it."
Naruto and Sakura jumped down from behind the yondaime hokage's desk and landed in front of the two Akatsuki members.
"That's not happening," Naruto said, "However I hear that there is an opening in the village of idiots. If you want to try there I'm sure they'll let you do that."
Danzo snarled as he grabbed the bandages wrapped around his arm. He ripped the cloth off revealing the Sharingan eyes implanted into his arm. A few of the people present all grimaced at the sight.
Naruto glared at the man more intensely then before and said, "You have no respect for the dead."
Danzo grinned as he held out his arm and the eyes on it flashed. Sakura immediately covered hr eyes so she wouldn't fall prey to them.
"Now," Danzo said, "With these eyes I shall take control of the Kyuubi and the rest of the Jinchuuriki here and make bring the downfall of the elemental countries. I think I'll start with you boy!"
Danzo flashed his arm with the eyes turning red. Naruto closed his eyes and stood motionless. The old war hawk grinned thinking he had beaten Naruto. At that moment Naruto opened his eyes revealing the Kitsune eye.
"Nice try pal," Naruto said, "Who do you think I am the Kyuubi?"
Inside him Naruto heard the fox muttering something about ungrateful brat.
Naruto vanished in a blur of speed. Naruto quickly appeared in front of Danzo.
"Two Sword Style: Double Cross Slash!"
Withing a second Danzo was split in pieces much like a tic-tac-to board. Naruto then took a deep breath and unleashed a mix of gold and crimson flames from his mouth completely disintegrating the body.
Zetsu, the plant guy, was about to move until he found himself in a death grip by Sakura. The girl flashed purple and green.
"Acid/Poison fusion: Dissolving touch!"
Zetsu screamed in pain as he felt what flesh he had started to melt away. Pretty soon there was nothing left on the ground but one gross pile of slime.
The Hachibi yelled, "That kid used a mix of dragon fire and hell fire on that Danzo character! How in the hell did he manage to do that?"
Kirabi couldn't answer as he was too shocked at what Naruto and Sakura had just done.
At that moment a lot of explosions went off outside.
"I take it that the rest of the organization is out there," Naruto said, "I hope everyone brought more backup then these guys."
Every kage nodded as the blonde spoke.
"Well," Naruto said, "Great minds think alike. Let's go!"
With that the kages and their bodyguards ran off to face the Akatsuki and hopefully end this once and for all.
Cut! Sorry this was short I didn't have much to go on. Besides let's face it…things had to end at the meeting quickly. I didn't want to bore everyone. Anyway we are coming up on the climax and the final battle will begin. Okay see you all next time.
