I don't own MR

Iggy's POV

When we got opened the door Max was there eating something, but I couldn't tell what. I was really glad I was right behind Ella because when the door opened she sprung at us. I instinctively pulled Ella behind me and went into battle mode. When she relaxed her stance I did too then I told her, "You didn't have to try and kill us, we only walked into a room."

"Ya, but you put makeup on my face. That is a reason to kill all of you," she said and I started backing up out of the house again. "Don't you even think of flying away. Besides, where will your girlfriend go huh," she said and then Fang came into the room and saw us.

"Told you not to go near her," he said as he put an arm on her shoulder and whispered something in her ear.

"Jezz, all we did was come in for some food, and I think that this being my house, I can do that without getting 'killed,'" Ella said and walked in, got some food, and sat down. Fang chuckled so I assumed either me, Max or both of us were making a stupid face.

"She's got some fire, doesn't she," Fang said as I walked to the fridge and grabbed some chicken strips and warmed them up, "good luck with her," he said patting my shoulder and laughed.

"Oh, I'm the one who needs luck? You have the terminator, so good luck to you bro," I said to Fang who started laughing so hard he clutched his sides.

"Just be glad your a good cook, otherwise you'd be dead already," Max said as she started yelling at Fang.

"Ya, ya, I always get that," I said taking the chicken out of the microwave, slamming the door, and sat down next to Ella.

"Now, I told you there we going to be consequences, so now, Ella, you are going to talk to me in my room an hour after lunch, you'll get the rest there. Iggy, you are going to do dishes, laundry, and other house work for three days. You can spend the one hour with Ella if she wants to, but I want everything done, got it," Max as sternly to us.

"Fine," we both said dejectedly. When we finished eating we went to my room.

"Sorry I got you in trouble," I said to her and she laughed.

"I get to talk to Max for a while and you get to do housework for three days, I don't think I have it bad," she told me and sat on my lap.

"You always have the right thing to sa," I told her then kissed her and she kissed me back.

"That might be my gift. You know like Angel can read minds and stuff, maybe words are mine," she said and leaned on my shoulder. "Can... can I feel your wings," she asked my nervously after a few minutes of silence.

"You don't need to be nervous, ya know," I said as I stretched my wings out, but careful not to bump anything.

"They're so light colored, like your skin," she breathed as she started stroking the one closest to her and I laughed. "They're really soft to," she said.

"Well I can't believe you didn't notice that before now," I murmured and I started stroking her hair.

"I was trying to focus more on what you were saying rather than your wings, but next time if you want me to just think about that I will," she said playing with me.

"No, no, I like it the other way juuuust fine. I get you to talk more that way," I responded and she giggled. "Can we please try flying again, and you stay up there for more than five seconds, please," I asked her and put on my best manipulative voice I could muster.

"I don't know. I'm kinda scared of heights, that's why I didn't like it last time," she said sheepishly and then I felt bad that I tried to get her to do something that she didn't want to do.

"Well, if you don't want to then you don't have to I guess, but I think I'm gonna go out for a while, okay," I said to her hopping that she'd change her mind.

"Urg, I can't believe I'm doing this," she said under her breath and then I smiled, "Fine, I'll go with you, but don't go as high as you did last time, okay," she said to me and I nodded my consent before I kissed her.

"I promise you, you won't regret it, I swear," I said as I started over to my dresser to put a shirt on for flying. "You may want to change into something a little warmer, it gets kinda cold up there, could you meet me on the porch when your done," I asked her before I turned around to get some shorts, boxers, and a t-shirt. I heard he get up and leave with out a word, and go into her room. I wasn't sure if I had offended her or not so I just went on changing. I went out to the porch. I waited ten minutes I think and was about to leave when Ella ran out and hugged me tight.

"Don't ever let me go," she said into my shirt.

"I'll never let you go, never," I said and took her into my arms and flew up. Max's punishments completely forgotten. When I was a few hundred feet about the ground I said, " see, this isn't so bad, just trust me, you'll be safe with me," I said to her, and she slowly turned her head from my shirt and looked around,

"Wow," she breathed. "I think you might be able to cure my fear of heights," she said as she pushed herself up and kissed my cheek.

"Hear, I'll go down in a tree for a while, then we can talk," I said as I descended and landed on a sturdy tree branch that would support both our weights, Ella pointed it out though.

"So, is this where you fly off to when you need to think," Ella asked me curiously.

"Sometimes, but always in a different tree. Why,"

"So next time someone says something stupid to you and you run off I'll know where to find you," she said while she laced her fingers with mine and leaned on my shoulder.

"Words really are your gift," I muttered and kissed her forehead. Then we sat there for a few minutes, enjoying the moment.

"I love you Ella," I said suddenly, but softly. I was almost afraid that she didn't hear me, but then she said.

"I love you too Iggy." When she said that though I was so happy that I pulled her onto my lap and kissed her like I never had before, not holding anything back, and she returned the kiss matching my intensity.

"You are the best girlfriend anyone could possibly want to have in their entire life and I can't believe you love me back and that your mine," I murmured, stroking her hair and holding her close.

"You are the bestboyfriend anyone could possibly want to have in their entire life and I can't believe that you think I wouldn't love you back. Oh, your mine too, no one else but me can have you, and I will seriously rip anyone's head off if try anything with you," she said and wrapping her arms around me and I laughed at the last part.

"I would never let anyone else touch me, trust me. I hope take out or something is fine, because I don't feel like making dinner. What time is it," I asked her.

"It's 4:30 P.M. Oh crap,Max is going to kill us. We didn't do her 'punishment.' I'm sorry I completely forgot.," she told me.

"Crap, and no I'm sorry I suggested going flying, it's my fault," I said and she squeezed me tight and I took off. I think she mumbled something, but I didn't understand what she said. It took us about 20 minutes to get back to the house. When I landed in the backyard I set her down on her feet, but she fell over on me.

"Can you just put me in bed, I'm really tired and I don't feel too well," she said and then she went limp in my arms.
