I am so sorry I haven't updated for like two months, I've been really busy with school work. I'm not sure when I'll be able to update again but thanks to everyone who reviewed and again I'm really sorry about not updating, stupid honors classes… Well enjoy!

Ella's POV

"Well look what we have here guys. A few love birds. Scrawny ones at that," one of them said and I could see Max fuming with rage.

"Max..." Fang warned, and the thugs laughed.

"Ya right, little girly here is going to get us," then they started laughing again.

"Look the tall one's blind," one said and they howled with laughter one again. I heard Iggy growl menacingly.

"Big mistake," Max snarled and lunged at the head one. Fang took on two and was taking them out. Iggy got the one with the baseball bat. He was swinging it over his head, but Iggy reached up and caught it. Then he pushed it back at the thug and it hit him in the stomach. Iggy gave the bat to me, not turning around.

"Take it in case one of them gets past us," Iggy said as the thug got up and lunged at him again. Iggy pushed us out of the way when he was close and then stuck his foot out and made him fall. Then I hit him in the back with the bat and stopped moving, I think he was unconscious.

"Good thinking," Iggy said and then turned around. Max just took out the one she was fighting earlier, Fang was doing two, so Max decided to help him. The one Iggy and I took down was four, so where was the fifth one? Then someone grabbed the bat from me and hit me. I fell to the ground, the world turning black.

Iggy's POV

I head something behind me and I whirled around. I heard someone fall to the ground, then something coming towards me. I stepped out of the way and I heard it hit the ground with a smack, it was the bat I had given Ella, and if she didn't have it that means that the person that fell earlier was her. Now I was even madder than before.

"YOU KNOCKED OUT MY GIRLFRIEND!" I screamed at the thug and hit him square in the face. He swung the bat blindly, but I took it from him and hit him upside the head with it. He was out in seconds. Then I turned around to get Ella. Her head was bleeding a little and she had some scrapes and bruises from being shuved up to a wall and falling on the ground. I scooped her up in my arms just as Max and Fang rushed over.

"What happened," Max asked as she saw Ella in my arms.

"One of them came up from behind took the bat from her and knocked her out," I told them.

"Lets go before anything else happens," Fang said, unfurling his wings and taking off, Max and I were right behind him. From there it only took us a minute to get back. We landed in the backyard and ran into the house. I set Ella on the couch and backed up when Dr. Martinez walked into the room.

"I need my first aid, Max go and get that. Iggy, get me some wet paper towels.." I didn't hear the rest because I ran into the kitchen and wet three paper towels and brought a dry one in case.

"I brought a dry one in case you needed that too," I said as I handed the towels to her.

"Thanks Iggy, there's nothing else to do now so you can go sit or something while I work," she said gently cleaning the wound on Ella's head.

"Okay," I said sitting on the couch across from her. My this seems too familiar. I was about to curse myself for letting this happen when that stupid side of me spoke up.

"If you weren't there, she maybe dead right now, or worse," it said and I immediately didn't think what I was going to. Sometime during this Max came in with the first aid and Fang got an ice pack in a light towel

"She doesn't need any stitches, thank goodness. What happened, I thought you were going to that karaoke place," Dr. Martinez asked and I answered.

"We did and we had a great time, but when we were walking home five of these guys jumped us. One snuck up behind me and Ella and took the bat I gave her and knocked her out. Needless to say I beat him with in an inch of his life," I growled the last part.

"Where did you get a bat," Dr. Martinez asked.

"The first one who came at me had one, and I took him down and gave Ella the bat, so if exactly that happened she had a way of protecting herself. I can't believe I was so stupid, I should've took off right when I finished off the first guy," I said and Fang came over next to me.

"Don't beat yourself up about it, there was nothing you could do, it happened so fast, and Max probably would have killed you if you took off before they were all unconscious," Fang said.

"I would do that," Max said in thought but I didn't think it helped much.
