Enjoy.

She wants to tell Ron. I've been avoiding the subject all this time. Again, our relationship is non-existent. It used to be a lot of heavy petting on his part but it has since then dwindled to nothing. I should have broken up with him but there was no need.

Why break something that is already broken?

It makes perfect sense to me. Why not to him? And then I sit down and think about it: This is Ron I'm dealing with. None of this is going to make sense when the truth finally comes out—whenever that will be.

"Mione? Did you hear me?"

I can only nod my head at this point. Simple vernacular is now futile.

"I want to tell Ron."

I take a breath.

"So then tell him, Gin."

She blinks.

"Mione, I can't do this by myself. I need you to at least pretend that you care."

Her words sting a little. I refuse to show it.

"Gin, you know I care more than anything," I begin, fighting to keep my voice even, "but Ron will not understand."

I try to push past her, to get out of there. I try to be anywhere but there. She places a hand on the front of my shirt.

"I don't care that he won't understand, Mio—"

"Oh so you agree that he won't understand, then?" I cut her off.

She takes a deep breath and expels it in shudders.

"Look. He has a right to know. He has a right to know that I'm in love with his girlfriend," she replies with a deadly calm voice.

I pause. I actually pause. And blink.

"You think I don't know, Hermione?" she continues. "I'm well aware that you never broke up with him."

I am still in brain-lock.

"He is in love with you, Hermione. Same as I am. I don't think much of him, but I know that because of how he feels about you, he will fight for you. And he hasn't done anything of the sort because you haven't broken up with him!"

I still have no idea what to say.

"At the end of the day, he is still my brother, Hermione. Either you tell him, or I will."

She turns on her heel, and stiffly stalks out of the room. I expect the door to slam behind her, but it doesn't. Instead, a green eyed man walks into the room.

"Ginny did not look very happy. Want to tell me what's going on, or should I tell you what I heard?"

I sigh. "Neither, Harry."

"That's fine. But I must say, I agree with Gin. Ron needs to know. Not for my sake, but for yours and Gin's."

I don't respond.

"Just think about it." He kisses my forehead. "Night, Mione."
